Chapter 3

Six years have passed since the attack of the Kyubi, and things had started looking up for the village of Konoha, the stability lost in the village by the attack had almost completely returned but that doesn't mean the road to this state was a smooth one.

There were a few incidents that threatened to destroy the very fragile peace inside of Konoha, one of which was the leakage of Naruto and Nori's Jinchuriki status, Hiruzen didn't actually expect some of the members of the Civilian council to act so boldly, some members actually started to leak the news that said ' the Kyubi is still actually alive and was residing inside of some children, the Hokage refuses to kill them to get rid of the demon', naturally because of the pain and grief that the people still held in their hearts their views of the children had been warped, instead of seeing the twins as only the jailers to prevent the Kyubi of being free again, they saw them either as the Kyubi themselves or just ticking bombs waiting to explode believing that the Kyubi will either take possessions of their bodies or that the seal keeping the Kyubi will break sooner than later.

Just a week after the attack there was a massive riot outside of the Hokage tower, demanding the death of the twins, Hiruzen had been too busy trapped inside of his office doing paperwork that when he discovered that there has been a leak it was already too late to prevent it from spreading to the entire village, as soon as he caught wind of this he ordered the ANBU to find the origin of the leak, he was worried that it was an enemy spy that found the twins Jinchuriki status and spread the news to cause mass panic, 'if an enemy spy was able to discover that secret then what else could he know', imagine Hiruzen surprise when the ANBU returned only to tell him that some members of the civilians council leaked that particular 'S-rank' secret to the whole village when Hiruzen heard this he wasn't furious, he was livid, couldn't this fools see how much danger the village could be put in danger because of this, he had assumed that the council would keep the Jinchuriki status a secret to prevent exactly these kinds of thing, but apparently he assumed wrong, to make matters worse when he decides to gaze toward the village through the window in his office, what's the first thing he sees?, exactly- an angry mob of villagers demanding the death of the twins.

He goes outside to address the problem, he explains in the most civilized way what would happen if they were to kill the twins, but the villagers in blind in their anger and grief did not listen, Hiruzen was left with no choice, he made the law that if someone, no matter who that person might be, ever talked about anything related the twins Jinchuriki status, they would be executed with no trial and to prove his point he executed the members of the civilian council that leaked the information, they were no more riots after that.

Hiruzen did this in hopes of giving the twins a chance at a normal life but the damage had already been done, when Kakashi returned from his shift in the border he was told of everything by Hiruzen and as he predicted Kakashi refused to take care of the twins, stating that he could barely take care of himself, he can't deal with taking them, especially since the twins are carbon copies of their parents, Hiruzen felt pity for the young ANBU captain, although Kakashi did a good job on not showing any emotion on the outside, Hiruzen still read him like an open book, he could see the inner turmoil that was consuming him, Hiruzen was seriously considering to discharge him for the ANBU, but he also recognized that his ANBU was his only way to cope and to barely function and if he chose to take him off the force then Hiruzen feared that Kakashi ended up like his father taking his own life, so Hiruzen chose the lesser of two evils and allowed him to carry on with his duties, so with Kakashi out of the question Hiruzen saw no other choice but to put the twins in the Konoha orphanage, he seriously hoped they were not recognized but apparently that was a fool's hope because as soon as he got to the orphanage and the matron layed eyes on the twins, her eyes turned into a cold fury that Hiruzen saw through but he truly didn't have another choice but to leave the twins here, he left but not before saying, "i will be here in a week from now to visit them" leaving the untold threat 'they better be fine when i check upon them'.

But at least he could relax a little when Biwako told him that she was going to be a part-time helper at the orphanage so she can make sure the twins are well taken care of, Hiruzen thanks Kami daily for allowing Biwako to survive that night, Kami knows how lost he would be if he lost her, now that Biwako can be a daily watcher of the twins, he can focus more on his work at the office, but that doesn't mean he forgets to check up on the twins from time to time, he found himself growing really attached to the twins and it really warms his old heart every time he sees them and they run up to him and call him "Jii-chan".

He chuckles when remembering the twins, "I can't believe that today they become six years old, my, they are growing fast" 'maybe too fast', he muses inside of his head, a certain redheaded boy coming to mind, out of the two, Naruto is certainly the sharpest, he can be very perspective for a boy his age, he had noticed a lot of the cold stare he and her twin constantly received very early one while it took sometime later for Nori to notice as well, both twins had come to him or Biwako as to why they receive such treatment from the village and they always responded the same, " we don't know why the villagers look at you like that but give them time and they will open up to you two" Nori seemed to reluctantly accept this before reverting back to her bubbly and cheerful attitude but Naruto only narrows his eyes in suspicion, clearly not believing that they don't know but thankfully he never pries any further, but Hiruzen doesn't believe it will stay like that forever, there is a chance the boy finds out by himself given how smart he is growing up to be, Naruto can be a closed person and very much an introvert and likes to spend his time studying as he is also a very curious person by nature, to someone who just met him he can be either polite, indifferent or apathetic, it takes a time for someone to warm up to him but once you do he can be a very warm, it took more time for Biwako and Hiruzen so the boy could open up to them but when he did he could be a warm and gentle and considerate child, there is only one exception to this treatment and that would be his sister, Nori, he absolutely loves his "imouto-chan" (young sister), as he is very protective of her sister almost bordering on overproctiness, they was this incident that Hiruzen remembers perfectly in where some kids in the orphanage where teasing Naruto about his spiky red hair color calling 'tomato' but that didn't bother Naruto in the slightest as he continued to read his book with indifference but Nori came in defence of Naruto but when the other children changed targets and started to tease her, that when Naruto snap his book closed and then proceed to beat up the children bothering her 'imouto-chan'sending a clear message of not to mess with her or they shall feel his wrath.

Nori on the other hand can be described as the his brothers' complete opposite, she is a very sweet girl with a bright and cheerful personality and she can be highly energetic almost bordering hyperactivity, patience and subtlety are not words in her dictionary, she can be a bit brash and hot heated but you can't help but to love the girl, especially with that bright smile of hers, almost as bright as the sun funny considering her blonde hair, but when she is mad you better be careful or you might get burned, Hiruzen could swear that Nori's blond straight hair started to levitated slightly when some boys were teasing her before being calmed down by her brother, Hiruzen let out a small sigh of relief that he didn't knew he was holding, he was having flashbacks about a certain red haired woman whose hair would start to levitate when mad, but like Kushina had Minato to calm her, Nori had Naruto to do the same, Nori really looks up to his brother, he is the only person who she would listen to 100% of the time something that not even Biwako can claim to be able to do but she still is a close second.

It was kind of scary how similar they are to their parents in personality with Naruto being the carbon copy of Minato but with Kushina's hair and eye color while Nori is Kushina's carbon copy with Minato's hair and eye color.

When Hiruzen turned his head to look back the clock he noticed it was almost time to meet up with the twins for their Birthday ramen, something that Biwako had tried to discourage saying that eating too much ramen is unhealthy and that she can make something else for them but apparently Nori also inherited Kushina's love for ramen and after pleading to Hiruzen with the deathly 'Puppy eye no Jutsu' he couldn't say no to her especially with how cute she looked, so he stood up from his desk and started to make his way towards the orphanage as he didn't want to arrive late after the last time he had arrived late, Nori can be quite scary sometimes.

Morning came really quick for a certain blond girl, she was waiting for this day for a while, what day you may be asking for? - the birthday of her brother and her, although she really has very mixed feeling about this day seeing as this day, in particular, any colds looks coming from the villagers and from some of the shinobi of the village got, even more, colder for some reason she can still comprehend and it really dampens her mood but thankfully her 'onii-chan', her 'baa-chan' and sometimes her 'jiji' are there for improving her mood mainly by taking her to her favorite place Ichiraku Ramen is where according to her, they sold the food of the gods which is...Ramen.

She salivates at the thought of eating more food of the gods, she can't go there as many time as she wants thanks to Biwako-baachan saying that she must eat more healthy food or she won't grow like the rest of the kids, she smiled when she remembered her baachan, she was the only person in the orphanage that made sure that her brother and her were fine,for some reason all other workers of the orphanage would be rude or simply ignore them in favor of the other children, at first she was really shy and used to hide a lot behind his older twin but when they first met Biwakowhen they were 3 years, she was very nice to them she would often cook for them and she would never admit it but her cooking would be a close second and sometimes a better option to ramen and with no time it took no time for her to latch herself to her, her brother had asked her why was she being so nice to them when others weren't, Nori wanted nothing more than for his brother to shup up, she was afraid that he might have offended the nice lady that was doing something that no other did, look out for both of them.

She didn't take any offense and smiled sadly at them, she had said that we reminded her to a pair of people she was friends with but died and also said she couldn't see a reason for being nice to us, it really touched Nori so next moment she knew, she was embracing the old woman and accidentally called her baa-chan, Biwako had been stunned but she also returned the embrace, a few seconds later Nori seemed to snap back to reality and she quickly undid the hug and hid once an again behind her brother with a really red face blushing in embarrassment but Biwako had wave it off saying it was okay and that she would gladly be their Baa-chan, both twins were really touched by this but Nori seemed to more and she immediately went again for an embrace, and when Biwako offered the same to Naruto he seemed more hesitant to actually accept but Biwako gave him the time he wanted, it only took a couple of days after that for Naruto to open up to Biwako as well.

Nori finally shook her head to finally return to the present, she got up from her bed and started to prepare for the day, she took off her pajamas, took a bath and started to change into her normal clothes, this just being a white t-shirt and some dark blue shorts and blue sandals, she for some reason never liked to wear dresses like other girls her age and preferred to wear simple things, if it wasn't for her round and chubby face, her straight blonde hair that is currently past her shoulders and squeaky voice people would definitely confuse her with a boy and that's a sore subject with her, she would often get teased about it before her brother would beat up any bullies, and then they would tease her yet again saying that without her brother she is nothing more than scaredy cat, that prompted another beating but this time from Nori herself, but Nori knew this carried some truth behind it, she depended in her brother a lot for strength and knew that if she didn't had her brother by her side she might have already collapsed under the harsh treatment she often recieved from the village, so that why she vowed to herself to not be a weak girl anymore so she wouldn't be a burden to her brother and they can stand next to each other. She had asked Biwako if she could train her because she had heard Biwako's stories from her time as a medic-nin, Biwako had been surprised by this, and when she asked for the reason behind this she was even more surprised by the determination she showed as she explained her reasons, so she promised Nori that she would give some light training to the both of them by the time of their sixth birthday so they could have a small advantage by the time they enter the Shinobi academy at seven.

Which was the biggest reason why she is so excited today as she and her brother can begin training so they could become shinobi, today they would go to eat all the ramen they could and then go around the village to get any training equipment so they can start training mainly blunt shuriken and kunai, and finally they were going for the first time to the festival that comes this day to Konoha today, in previous years she had asked her Jiji and her Baachan is they could take them to the festival but for reason, she doesn't understand they get uncomfortable with the subject and they tell they can't and this year they finally relented.

Now that she was ready, she turned towards the bed that was on the other side of the room where his twin brother slept expecting him to be already up and ready, but apparently, his twin didn't share her excitement, she walked towards the bed of his twin and stood in front of it staring with a blank face the sleeping lump under the bed covers, she slowly grew a tick mark on her forehead before going back to her own bed and grabbed her pillow just to return to stand right next to his brother's bed, she took a deep breath before yanking the blanket that her brother was sleeping under and started to hit him with her pillow and started to shout along the lines "wake up baka oniichan!, wake up today is a special day!.

"I'm up… I'm up... I'm up" where the sudden replies of a recently woken up Naruto, Nori finally stopped hitting him with her pillow and huffed as she left to her bed once again, Naruto sat up on the edge of his bed and started to stretch at the same time he yawned, he cleared his vision and then stood up walked towards her sister who was standing there with her back facing him making a pout, he then embraced her from the back and told her with a soft smile on his face, " Happy birthday Nori", Nori finally allowed bright smile to appear on her face and turned to face him and returned the embrace, " Happy Birthday Naruto-niichan", Naruto chuckled softly before saying, "someone is excited", "well, of course, it has been a full month since baachan let us have ramen at Ichiraku's," she said as they broke the embrace and she started to pace around their room rambling about the day ahead of them.

"And also today we will get our ninja tools to begin our training and also Baa-chan and Jiji are finally taking us to the festival" she continues to ramble never noticing the frown that appeared on Naruto's face when she mentioned the festival, he didn't believe that going there was a good idea considering the village rather cold behavior towards them actually getting worse on this day, he had tried to convince her sister on not going there but it was useless as she can be very stubborn when she wants to, so he finally relented reluctantly.

"When is Biwako-baasan arriving?" asked Naruto looking for a clean change of clothes, " she should be arriving here in one more hour I think, it could be less than that", she replied with a finger stroking in her chin in thought.

"Okay I still have time to get ready," he said heading towards the shower, after a 20-minute long shower Naruto finally came out of the bathroom with a black t-shirt with the Uzumaki crest in red with a dark green long sleeve undershirt with the same dark blue short and blue sandals that her sister was wearing.

"Took you long enough," Nori said while sitting on the edge of her bed while impatiently tapping her foot on the floor, "I was making sure that I got rid of my sleepiness" he shrugged while running a hand through his still-damp red hair locks.

Nori just gave him a blank face, " you stayed up late reading again didn't you?

Naruto only sighed, "I can't lie to you, can't I?", "No, you can't Onii-chan", she replied with a smirk and then asked, "I still don't know why do you like to read so much?"

Well, you could try to… well I don't know… read one?" He asked with a small smile on his face.

She huffed and said "pass, they are too boring", Naruto only smirked slightly while slowly shaking his head" yeah I thought so", they started to wait for Biwako to arrive to pick them up, Nori was pacing around the room while Naruto lay down again on his bed to start reading a new book that Biwako gave him on a past occasion ignoring the pacing of her sister.

They only had to wait another 10 minutes before Biwako eventually arrived, as soon as she opened the door of the twins room she was almost knocked to floor when a blond missile came crashing towards her, "BAACHAAN!"- once she regained balance she looked down only to see a blonde mop of hair and wasted no time in retuning the embrace, once Nori broke it a glare immediately replaced her smile as she put her hands in her hips and asked " what took you so long Baachan", Biwako only giggled slightly before stepping to the side so he can see the other guest they had, a bright smile quickly replaced the glare yet again and hugged the other guest, "JIJI!" she said an then finally released Hiruzen from the embrace, " Happy Birthday Nori" said Hiruzen and then turned to the other side of the room to see Biwako and Naruto in hug while wishing him a Happy Birthday and then she released him so he can to Hiruzen, " Happy Birthday to you as well Naruto" Naruto only smiled fondly and hugged Hiruzen, "thanks Jiisan"

Biwako and Hiruzen took two boxes from Kami knows where, something that had intrigued Naruto and asked about it only to receive a wink in return and Biwako telling him " its a secret", Naruto only narrowed his eyes before focusing on the boxes, "are those our presents?", both elders just nodded with smiles in their faces, as soon as they did this Nori's box suddenly disappeared from Biwako's grasp, everyone sweatdropped at her actions, they turned to see her almost destroying the box and when she saw the contents she gasped, she turned her head to see Biwako and asked her a question, "can I try them now?", and Biwako nodded her head and Nori went to the bathroom, Naruto sent a look to Hiruzen that clearly said 'what's going on, "you'll see once she is done, so why don't you open your present Naruto-kun" Hiruzen replied and then gestured to the box he was still holding.

He opened the box and took a light gray jacket that green trimmings and a hoodie along with what appeared to be a worn holster for kunai, he turned to Hiruzen and gave him a small smile "thanks Jiisan" he said before putting on the jacket, it was still a little big so he decided to leave it unzipped then he attached the holster to his right thigh, it was a little loose but he can use bandages later so it doesn't fall off but he was surprised to see that the holster was already full of blunt kunai which made him smile gratefully to Hiruzen.

Hiruzen was trying hard not to gasp, if it weren't for the hair, eye color, and whisker birthmarks he could have sworn that Minato was reborn, Naruto looked almost identical to his father at his age, well Hiruzen should have expected it, the jacket and holster actually belonged to Minato when he was in the academy, it didn't help when Nori came out of the bathroom wearing a different outfit, his jaw almost came loose and now was debating if these gifts were the right idea.

Nori came out of the bathroom wearing a sleeveless kimono-style blouse that was yellow in color and held closed with a green obi over a short-sleeved mesh shirt with a pair of dark blue shorts and brown sandals.

It was the same outfit Kushina wore on her first day at the academy, and if it wasn't for the fact the Nori's hair was shorter in comparison to Kushina's and that she was blond and had the same whisker birthmarks as his twin she could be Kushina's reincarnation.

Nori's voice broke Hiruzen of his inner walk through memory lane, " I have never been too interested in what I wear but I have to admit it that this looks nice, Thanks Baachan"

"They fit you nice Imouto-chan", Naruto said with a small smile and one thumbs-up, "Thanks and I can say the same about that jacket onii-chan" Nori replied with a bright smile with her hands interlaced behind her back.

"Well, what are we waiting for? Ichiraku's awaits us" Nori proclaimed while grabbing both Hiruzen and Biwako's hands began to drag them outside, Naruto only chuckled slightly and shook his head before following them.

On their way to Ichiraku's, Naruto noticed all the hard cold glares they received, thankfully her sister was so distracted with the prospect of having ramen she didn't notice, for a time he wondered why so many people looked at her sister and him like this, he tried to ask Biwako and Hiruzen but they always change the subject, but now he has one theory, they were somehow related to the Kyubi attack six years ago, both his twin and him were born the same day, they are no record of who their parents might be and they having strange whisker birthmarks, he doesn't know what kind of relationship they hold with the bijuu and hit a dead end on his theory but hoped to find out sooner or later, oddly enough he also noticed that only civilians and or shinobi from the civilian origin, namely genin and chunnin, are the only one to look at them with hatred but most of the shinobi coming from clans don't look at them with hatred, they seem neutral to them or indifferent with some only eyeing them with what appeared as waryness but it never goes further than that and Naruto was grateful for that, his twin and him don't need the bad looks also coming from the clans as well, is already bad enough for Nori to endure the looks from the civilians, it doens't bother Naruto that much as long as her sister is happy he is happy, for some reason he can't stand the thought of her sister being sad, he felt like it was his job to keep her safe and happy so he took it upon himself to be her guardian and to keep that bright smile of hers.

The group finally arrive at Ichiraku's ramen, it was a humble ramen shop, Hiruzen moved the flaps out of his way and made way for Naruto and Nori to pass and sit down on the chairs that were in the bar, they were greeted by two people, Teuchi and Ayame, the father and daughter duo who man the shop, " Happy Birthday Naruto and Nori" both of them greeted warmly and then both of them bowed slightly and Teuchi said" Hokage-sama, Biwako-sama, is good to see again here in my shop", Hiruzen only waved his hand " titles are not necessary Teuchi-san how many times I have to tell you the same?" Hiruzen said with a chuckle and him and Biwako sit down next to the twins, Teuchi only chuckled as well, " if you say so Hokage-sama, so what are you going to order" he asked the group, Nori finally yelled out " one of everything Teuchi-jiisan and keep them coming" she said while rubbing her stomach, Biwako and Naruto sighed but smiled at her antics, Hiruzen was starting to feel the hole on his wallet this was going to leave, Teuchi laughed whole heartily and starting to make his way to the kitchen.

Ayame giggled and asked " so who are you two? Its been a while since you last came here", Nori replied happily " we have good Ayame-nee-chan and sorry if we couldn't come often but Baachan insisted on us having a more "healthy diet," she said sending a glare to Biwako who huffed indignantly, Naruto and Hiruzen sighed at this exchange and Ayame giggled.

"Well you should listen to her then, after all, she is doing it to take care of you," Ayame said to Nori who pouted a bit before nodding, at this moment Teuchi had arrived with the usual orders of everyone, they grab the chopsticks and muttered Itadakumasu and started to eat the delicious ramen.

After a couple of hours of eating and talking, Hiruzen finally stood up and began to fish out his wallet, " the ramen was good as always, thank you" Hiruzen said before putting the money on the bar and then turned to the twins, " I'm sorry but I can't be here any longer, i have to get back to work but you can walk with Biwako to the festival before she can escort you back to the orphanage, have fun Nori-chan, Naruto-kun" he said and then said goodbye to his wife and then vanished only leaving a couple of leaves on the ground.

"Well it's a shame Jiji can't come but at least we can still come with you Baachan" Nori said with a sigh because she hoped that she could spend more time with her Jiji, but is still happy that Biwako is still with them, Naruto nodded to Nori statement and Biwako smiled at both of them.

"Well then let's go then" Biwako gestured both Naruto and Nori to walk beside her and they exit Ichiraku's and made their way towards the festival.

Biwako, Naruto, and Nori made their way to the festival, at first, Biwako was really reluctant on letting them come considering the villager's views on the twins but Nori has been really insistent on coming for the first time, and finally relented, Biwako is still kind of wary on taking them here but at least she can find comfort in that most of the stands in the festival are from people that live outside of Konoha which means that will be unaware of the twins' status as Jinchuriki's

And the fact that she was with them, nobody would want to mess with the wife of the Sandaime without risking being at the end of wrath. And even if she wasn't with them they had an ANBU patrol following them as well when she isn't with them.

They were now walking down a road and Biwako was looking at which stands she could get near to with the twins.

They spend quite a while like this, they managed to play some game, won some prizes, bought some ice cream, and had overall a good night, but all good things must come to an end and that came in the form of an ANBU agent that came looking for Biwako.

"Biwako-sama, there is an apparent emergency at the Hospital and the staff is requesting your presence with urgency", the agent informed Biwako and she replied in a serious manner, " and what would be this emergency?", the ANBU agent replied in a sincere manner, " I was not informed of the said emergency, I was just summoned with orders of locating you and escorting you to the Hospital as soon as possible", Biwako seemed in thought, she really was cursing whoever summoned her, she was still quite a distance away from the orphanage and she was very reluctant of leaving the twins alone at night but if someone summoned her then she must answer, so with no other choice she turned to the twins who were behind her and kneeled.

"I sorry Naruto-kun, Nori-chan but I must go, can I trust that you will go straight to the orphanage from here?" Biwako asked the twins, having heard what the ANBU said they both nodded but Nori seemed upset by Biwako sudden departure, both Biwako and Naruto noticed and it didn't take a genius as to why, Naruto started to pat her sister's back, "come on Nori, Biwako-Baasan will come visits us in the morning, you don't have to get upset" Naruto said with a comforting smile while Biwako was nodding to what Naruto said, this apparently lifted Nori's mood and she Biwako a big hug, Naruto also gave her a hug and like that they said goodbyes for the night, the never noticed the malicious looks from a group of drunk villagers.

Naruto and Nori were making their way towards the orphanage, they were grabbing each other hands while they walked, they were now just a couple of blocks away but they came to a stop when they heard something, they turned around just to see a small mob of people stumbling towards them, the twins started to get nervous so they decided to keep moving but when they turned around they found their path blocked by more people, they were heading towards them, Naruto just grabbed Nori's hand and started to run away from there and the mob began to chase them shouting to them, Naruto made a turn in an alleyway thinking they can hide there but there was already someone there waiting for them, Naruto didn't see the feet that made him trip along with her sister and definitely didn't see the bottle that was heading towards them, Nori was groaning as she was starting to get up when an empty sake bottle hit her on the back of her head, shattering the bottle and knocking her out.

"NORI!" Naruto shouted worriedly and went down to check her, he shook her trying to wake her up but it didn't work, "so I knocked her out?, bummer, I wanted her awake for what we were going to do to the two of you brats!", the same man who tripped Naruto and threw the sake bottle said with some slurs meaning he was drunk, Naruto glared with all the hatred he could muster, this man had dare on hurting his little sister, he has never been this mad but something else caught his attention, the same small mob that was chasing them had already caught up and they were making their way towards Naruto and Nori who was still unconscious, Naruto was starting to panic, so with all his strength he managed to carry her sister and began to try and run away keyword being 'try', "yeah, go ahead and run it will only make it more fun for us", he found out that the alley they were in had a dead-end and seeing no other choice, he lowered Nori and then stood in front of her with a kunai in hand, it was one of the blunted kunai Hiruzen had given him but right now it was better than nothing in the eyes of Naruto, he stood in front of Nori proctectively, "how cute, but it won't change anything brat, we will kill her and make watch and then we will kill you as well, it's time to get rid of your kind", the man shouted and the rest of the mob shouted in agreement, for a moment confusion made it's way to Naruto face, 'what did he meant by my 'kind' was the thought Naruto had before he shook his head focusing in front of what he had in front of him, Naruto was afraid at the moment but it wasn't for his life, it was for Nori's, 'what if they kill her, what if I'm not capable of protecting her, what if nobody comes to help us' were the frantic thoughts that were in Naruto's mind as his body was shaking in fear before finally steeling himself 'no matter what my sister will live even if i have to die protecting her' a burning sensation began to irritate his sight and he began to rub his eyes to get rid of the sensation in that moment he didn't noticed that the man had started to make his way towards Naruto with the intend of hitting him.

Naruto finally opened his eyes only to see the man running towards them but he noticed something different, he could see that the man was apparently going in slow motion to him and also he noticed a faint blue light coming from the man, it was really small but visible, he didn't dwell on that detail as he saw that the man was getting closer to hit him, so decided to act, he dodged the attack and jammed the blunt kunai in his arm with all the strength a six-year-old could muster, it went only halfway through the arm and drew blood some of it landing on Naruto's face causing him to freeze because of the sensation, the man screamed in pain before looking at Naruto with murderous fury in his eyes, he used the opportunity to swat Naruto away and knocking him to ground before pulling the kunai out his arm and held it planning on using it to finally put an end the fucking brat that dared to stab him.

Naruto finally stood up only to see the man that was going to use his own kunai to kill him and his sister, Naruto covered his sister with his body in a protective manner and shut his eyes awaiting the blow but it never came, he heard something whistling through the air and the man screamed in pain but he didn't dare to open his eyes, he only held Nori tighter and hoped for the best, the rest he heard were some more whistling, some hard punches, a lot of grunts of pain and even some bone snapping and then nothing, he only heard pained moaning, he finally heard a voice that was directed to him, "hey are you alright?", he heard a voice of a young boy and when Naruto finally looked up he saw what appeared to be ANBU but he had the height of someone who must have 11 years old, he had a weasel mask and jet black hair that was in a low ponytail and ominous red glow came from the eye hole of his mask, the 11-year-old Anbu seemed to almost jump in surprise but he suppressed but couldn't suppress the gasp that came from when he saw him, before Naruto could respond, he started to feel lightheaded, the experience took a toll on him and left him exhausted mentally, he stumbled a bit before going unconscious but the young Anbu catched before he hit the ground, there were a lot of thought going through this young Anbu's mind.

Uchiha Itachi was tired, it has been a couple of months since he entered Anbu, he just returned early from a mission with his recently assigned team under the leadership of none other than Hatake Kakashi, the mission went better than expected and thanks to that they managed to return early from it, right now he was making his way towards the Uchiha compound and his home, enjoy a homecooked meal from her mother and maybe if he wasn't that tired he could spend some time with his little…

Itachi's train of thought was interrupted when he heard some commotion coming from an alley, he could have ignored but something inside him compelled him to see what was happening, and he was thankful he listened to that little voice inside of him, as he came to a scene of a drunken mob harassing a redheaded boy who was standing protectively over a blonde girl who was unconscious, it took him a couple of second to recognize the children, they were the Jinchuriki twins, thanks to his position in ANBU, he knew of the burden of the twins, he even had to guard them once or twice, he didn't have anything against the twins, they didn't choose to bear their burden and sees a little of himself in the redhead, Naruto, he saw how Naruto had stabbed the kunai in some drunk man's arm, out of the corner of his eye he saw what appeared to be another Anbu patrol but they just stood there as if waiting for something, thanks to his Sharingan he caught something peculiar on this Anbu patrol, their attire was darker than the standard ANBU attire and they had blank masks with just a character on the upper left part of the mask that read 'Ne'(ROOT), when the ROOT patrol caught sight of Itachi they decided to retreat, Itachi decide to intervene when he saw that same man coming to Naruto with the intention of killing both twins, he lauched kunai to incapacite the drunken man and made short work of the mob with just taijutsu, when he finished with the mob he walked softly towards the boy who was clutching his twin tightly, "hey are you alright?" Itachi asked softly not wanting the boy to react against him, apparently, it worked but when he saw the boy his eyes more specifically, Itachi couldn't help but to widen his eyes and gasp in surprise, the boy was supposed to have violet-colored eyes but the eyes he was watching right now were blood red and there was one tomoe in each eye, it wasn't possible for this boy to have awakened the Kekkei Genkai of HIS clan, 'the Sharingan'.

The boy was about to talk but apparently, the events of this night have finally taken a toll on the boy's mind, and began to stumble before finally going unconscious, before he could hit the hard ground Itachi caught him, there were a lot of questions inside of his mind but he decided to prioritize the twins first, so with that, he decided to take them to hospital and inform the Hokage of this, with that he disappeared leaving a just crow feathers behind.

AN: finally done with this chapter, I hope you enjoy it and the fact that it came sooner than it should, maybe I'm motivated, who knows? but like I said before, forgive me if you catch any grammar errors or something else.

and I wanted to kind of speed up the results of this poll because this will decide a lot in the future, like the pairings for both Naruto and Nori so you could answer the poll or leave your answer on the reviews or PM's, I plan on closing this poll in one or two weeks from now and from there the poll for pairings will begin but i already have my options

For Naruto:

A) Fem! Sasuke (only if the previous result ended up being genderbend sasuke)

B) Fem! OC! Uchiha (only if the previous result was to create a twin for sasuke)

C) Hinata OOC! ( I plan on making my version of her a mix in between RTN and the common "Hyuuga" behavior, so no shy and stuttering mess)

For Nori:

D) Gaara

and finally, so you can give yourselves a better idea, I plan on Nori being the closest on the 'Canon' Naruto personality but she won't be an idiot like 'Canon Naruto' so no worries there, and this Naruto will be kind of similar to the Menma we see on 'Tenten's dreamworld' inside of the infinite Tsukuyomi and NOT the Menma from RTN, just to be clear.
