The vine shot out of the ground and launched Luz across the field knocking the wind out of her. She got back up and walked back towards Willow.

"I didn't think that would work." Luz said.

Luz had been a hexside for about two weeks. In some classes she excelled in some class like plants, and not so well in classes like potions. She almost blew up the classroom. The teacher and Boscha were not happy.

"Are you ok?" Willow asked.

Yep! It takes more then the thorn bolt to hurt old Luz" Luz said.

"Ok good. Class is over now so let's go meet Gus in the cafeteria" Willow said.

For the past weeks Luz has been working with Willow to find glyphs in plants and with Gus for illusions. She wanted to asked Amity to help find one for abominations but she was to shy.

In Luz's eyes Amity was calm, cool, and collected. Luz felt intimated by Her. Sure they were kinda friends. They talked in the hall and had classes together but that was about it.

The rain started to fall. Normal rain didn't happen often in the boiling isles. Luckily Luz was prepared. She had on her second favorite hoodie. Unlike the cat one this one was blue and had long sleeves. It also had long floppy bunny ears.

Luz was getting ready to leave school when she saw Amity. She was standing in the rain. She was scowling at the rain. It was actually pretty cute.

"Hey Amity" Luz said walking up to Amity.

"Oh hey Luz!" Amity said.

"You look cold" Luz noticed.

"Oh I'm fine." Amity said. She shivered.

"Shivering is not helping your case girl" Luz said

Amity smiled a little. "Shut up"

"Here take my hoodie" Luz offered. Before Amity could object Luz pulled her hood off and put it over Amity. It took a few seconds but Amity's head finally popped out.

"Luz you don't need to do this." Amity protested.

"It's fine! I like the rain plus you look cute!" Luz said. Amity blushes a little.

"I'll return it Tomorrow" Amity said.

"Ok!" Luz chirped. She got ready to leave when Amity stopped her.

"Hey Luz? Would you maybe like to sit together in class tomorrow?""

Luz grinned. "Amity I would love sit with you!"

"Ok I'll see you tomorrow!" Amity said. She waved bye to Luz and walked away.

"Yes!" Luz said pumping her fists. " I get to sit with Amity!"

Luz was standing at her locker bouncing in excitement. Today was the day she got to sit with Amity. She couldn't explain why she was excited.

"Hey Luz" Amity said walking up to her. "Here's your hood back" she hands the hood back to Luz.

"Thanks Amity! You ready to go to class." Luz beamed.

"I'm ready"

"Let's go!" Luz said. She grabbed Amity's hand.

"Luz" Amity said. " class is that way"

"I knew that" Luz chuckled. She turns around and they head the right way.

The two get to class and sit down.

"Amity I was wondering if you could help me with something" Luz said.

"What is it?" Amity asked.

" I do magic with glyphs as you know. Well I was wondering if you could help me find an abomination glyph" Luz said.

"I'll help you." Amity said. "I think I have a book that will help" she reaches into her bag and pulls out a book titled History of abominations. "This should help you"

"Thanks Amity!" Luz smiled.

Abominations class was mostly free abomination study Since students were working on a project. Luz carefully looked through each page of the book carefully. She took notes on things that seemed important. Every once in a while she'd look at what Amity was doing. That girl was in the zone. Her notes were in cursive. Luz looked on in awe. Amity was so cool.

Amity noticed Luz looking at her. "Can I help you Luz."

Realizing she was caught Luz stuttered. "Nope I'm good"

Amity looked at her suspiciously. "Ok"

Luz went back to her book. She was reaching the end and was about to give up hope when she noticed something. In the corner of the book was a little tab.

"Amity look" Luz said getting Amity's attention. "There's a tab here. I'm gonna pull it."

Luz carefully pulls the tab. The tab reveals a small piece of paper. On the paper is a circle with squiggly lines.

"A glyph!" Luz cheered.

"Don't just stand there! Draw it" Amity said.

"Oh yeah!" Luz said. She very carefully draws the glyph and taps it. A small little abomination appears from a the paper.

Luz gasps " I made an abomination! He's so cute and tiny. I'm gonna name him bob."

"You don't normally name abominations but congrats Luz" Amity said.

"Very good Ms.Luz" the teacher said. He then turned to Amity. "And I'll add the extra credit for tutoring another student"

"Oh I'm not doing this for extra credit" Amity said. She turned to look at Luz. I'm doing it for a friend."

This was just a quick chapter and most of them will probably be. I had to Lumity because that's just the person I am. Also I didn't know how to describe a abomination glyph so that's what you get. I'm going the next chapter is gonna be about Luz, Willow, Gus, and Amity so the hexside squad. Hope you enjoyed the chapter and see you next time!
