Lexa always prided herself on her ability to stay calm and under control when things didn't go as planned but after one night, or more likely, after one blonde. She found herself once again losing that control.

Two things happened after Clarke's words, "I'm pregnant," hit Lexa.

1. Her Alpha howled in excitement and triumph.

And

2. Lexa fainted.

In seconds Lexa comes back to the living world after collapsing to the asphalt path, but not before people noticed her fall and came running.

"Oh, my God! Are you okay?" shouts a middle-aged woman who was power-walking behind the brunette.

Lexa sits up and takes a moment to collect herself.

Did she just faint?

"Dear, are you okay?" asks the woman softly, who is now kneeling beside the Alpha.

Instantly, Lexa becomes embarrassed and angry. She can't believe she fainted. She's never fainted before. She should have better control over herself than this. She's a high-ranking Alpha, for Christ's sake!

Green eyes slowly glance over towards the concerned woman. "Uh... Yea... I mean. Yes. I'm fine." Lexa stutters.

Other people at the park have started gathering around them and are staring down at her now.

"I... uh... pushed myself a little too hard, I guess," she manages to say as an excuse.

The older woman gives her a kind smile. "Does anything hurt?"

"No, I'm okay. I promise," Lexa states getting up and brushing herself off.

The small crowd that collected around the two begin to disperse now that they see that the fallen woman is okay. The dwindling crowd makes Lexa feel more comfortable.

"Thank you for your help," Lexa says, giving the middle-aged woman a smile, who's now standing beside her.

The woman smiles softly back at her but then quickly changes it to a frown. "You should really be more careful, dear. It is bad to push yourself so hard that you end up passing out," the older woman scolds.

Lexa's cheeks redden slightly in embarrassment at being scolded. Normally, the Alpha would take offense to being chided like a pup, but somehow this woman is able to get away with it.

That's when the woman's scent draws on Lexa. She's a mated Omega. A mother.

Instantly, Lexa's mind rushes back to Clarke, who is or was on the phone with her.

"Clarke," Lexa calls out in alarm while reaching up to her earbud and pushing it further into her ear like it would help her to hear the blonde better. "Are you still there?" She asks.

In hindsight, Lexa knows it was rude of her to turn her back and ignore the other woman, but like normal, Clarke seems to take up her entire mind.

The woman doesn't seem to upset by the Alpha's quick change of demeanor and leaves the brunette to her business.

"I'm here," Clarke says reassuringly, and Lexa immediately calms.

"Good," the Alpha declares with a heavy breath. She was so afraid she lost connection with the blonde. After two weeks of no communication, Lexa was, well, rather desperate to hear from the Omega again.

"What happened?" Comes Clarke's curious voice through her earbuds.

"Nothing," Lexa answers far too quickly.

Lexa closes her eyes once again in embarrassment. She really needs to get control of herself.

Taking in a calming breath, Lexa constructs herself.

"You fainted, didn't you," Clarke says, and without even needing to see the blonde, Lexa knows Clarke is smiling.

"Shut up," the brunette grumbles.

Clarke's vibrant laugh comes through Lexa's earbuds, and it sends a smile bursting across the Alpha's face.

Lexa pictures Clarke laughing and even though it's at her expanse. Lexa can't find an ounce inside her that cares. Maybe being 'a bit' of an idiot isn't such as bad thing.

Lexa listens to Clarke's laugh until it dies out.

"Can I come see you?" The words are out of the Alpha's mouth before she can even register them leaving.

The line goes silent.

Lexa waits anxiously, and after a few moments, she thinks maybe she overstepped, but then Clarke replies.

"I'm still in West Virginia."

"I know," Lexa softly states.

After school, Clarke went back home, but she had told Lexa in one of their conversations that she and Raven were thinking about getting an apartment for next year instead of living in the dorms together. Now that probably wasn't going to happen.

The line once again goes silent, and it takes everything in Lexa not to beg. She and Clarke really need to talk about her pregnancy, but Lexa doesn't want to do it over the phone.

"Okay," Clarke answers in a soft and quiet voice.

Lexa smiles briefly, "Today?"

She really shouldn't push Clarke, but the Alpha can't seem to help herself. She really wants to see her Omega again.

Silence...

Lexa waits.

"Okay."

Lexa's inner Alpha howls in victory, and Lexa can't keep the smile from beaming across her face.

"Okay, I'm going to run home and take a shower, then I'll start making my way to you. Where would you like to meet?" She asks.

"I'll text you an address," Clarke replies.

"Okay."

Lexa is beyond excited, but she tries to reel in her excitement.

"Hey, Clarke..."

"Yeah."

There are about a million things Lexa wants to tell Clarke, but she settles for.

"I'll see you soon."

Anya is sitting on the couch watching TV when Lexa comes storming into the apartment.

"WHOA, Tornado, what's got you in a whirlwind," the Alpha yells, whipping her head around to gawk at her friend.

Lexa doesn't answer and runs straight into her room.

Anya jumps up from her seat and quickly turns off the TV. She hasn't seen Lexa this wild since, well, ever. Instantly concerned for her friend Anya follows the Alpha into her room.

"Hey, what's wrong?" She asks, stepping inside the still fully open door.

Lexa is ripping off her running shirt. Leaving herself topless in the middle of her room.

Both Alpha's have seen each other naked enough times that it's not even a blip on the Richter scale.

"Lexa?" Anya says cautiously. Something clearly happened to her friend, and she is determined to find out what it was.

"I'm going to see Clarke," Lexa finally answers after taking off her running leggings and grabbing her towel. She then marches past a stunned Anya.

It takes all but two seconds for Anya to start grinning like a Cheshire cat and spin on her feet to follow the brunette.

"So the blonde vixen finally talked back," Anya teases, walking behind a naked Lexa.

"Yes," comes Lexa's solitary reply walking into the bathroom.

"And?" Anya questions still following. Getting information from her friend is sometimes harder than herding a squirrel. And Anya knows exactly how hard that is after she left the balcony door open one day and one of those evil rodents got in. It took her nearly an hour to get that thing to go back outside.

Lexa turns on the shower and gets in before the water even warms up.

"You going for a round two or..." Anya tests trying to get something out of her friend.

"She's pregnant."

The shower distorts Lexa's words, but Anya hears them.

"WHAT!"

(Flashback 2 months ago)

Anya is sitting on Lexa's bed, anxious like a child getting ready to open their Christmas gifts.

Lexa is leaning up against her headboard, looking back at her friend with the most annoyed look she can muster.

"I'm not giving you any details," Lexa declares before going back to looking at the book in her hands.

"AWK! No, you are giving me something. I've waited two days for you to get over your coupling with the blonde 'Alpha' slash 'Omega,' and now it is time for you to spill," states Anya grabbing Lexa's book and throwing it across the room.

"HEY!" Lexa yells as her book flies to the other side of her room.

Anya falls back on her ass after sacrificing Lexa's book.

"I had to beat up five Alphas to keep you and miss Vixen safe..."

"I thought it was three," Lexa says, referring to the number of Alphas Anya had to beat up.

"Whatever, It doesn't matter," replies Anya. "You got to give me something. I could get expelled if one of those lame bozos talk, and then I won't be able to graduate with you."

Sighing heavily, Lexa caves.

"Fine, but I'm still not giving you any details," she growls.

Anya holds up her hands in surrender, "Fine."

That night Lexa tells Anya all about Clarke's bracelet, about Nia drugging the Omega, and how she thought Clarke might not have had an implant.

(Present)

"WHAT!" Anya shouts before quickly shaking her head. "How?"

"I don't know," comes Lexa's reply from the shower. "But it's what I hope to find out when I see her."

"Uh, huh. I'm sure that's not the only reason you want to see her," Anya states playfully.

Anya has known Lexa for four years and during that time, not once has she seen the brunette Alpha act the way she has since meeting the blonde. Clarke wasn't the first Omega Lexa has slept with during their heat, but something about the way things happened with Clarke had Lexa behaving differently.

Maybe it was because, in a way, Lexa had to fight for Clarke. Lexa was the only Alpha in the house with the other Omegas, let alone in a hundred yards. That night the Frat house was full of other Alphas and Betas. They were competition.

Or maybe it was because Lexa claimed Clarke that night. With the house full of other competitors, Lexa filled that house and Clarke with her essence and declared the Omega as hers. It wasn't a mating mark, but Anya thinks it might as well have been because, since that night, Clarke is all Lexa thinks about.

Anya smiles to herself as she hears the water shut off in the shower. Lexa and Clarke might not have marked each other that night, but it's clear to the other Alpha that the two will be in each other lives whether Clarke plans to keep the pregnancy or not.

Lexa steps out of the shower and sees her smiling friend. She remarks the smile to her friend's earlier statement. Wrapping her towel around her, she says.

"I'm going because no matter what Clarke decides to do. I want to be there for her."

Anya's smile falls at her friend's no-nonsense voice. "I know, Lexa. You are a good person."

Anya walks over to her friend, who is now looking at herself in the mirror. "And leave it to you to knock up the one Omega who can hide as an Alpha," she states, shoulder checking her friend.

Lexa can't help but smile and laugh at her friend. Anya may be a lot of things, but too serious was never one of them. Shoving playfully back, Lexa leaves the bathroom to get ready.

Clarke is sitting at a corner table with her leg bouncing anxiously as she waits for Lexa.

It has been over two months since Clarke last saw Lexa, but it didn't feel like it was that long ago to the blonde. Nearly every day, Clarke has thought about the brunette Alpha. She'd often find herself daydreaming or picturing the Alpha doing mundane things around the house and at night when Clarke would lay awake in bed. She would fantasize about Lexa touching her, holding her, filling her. Only to fall asleep with her hand between her legs.

Fidgeting in her seat, Clarke looks up at the clock hanging on the wall. Two minutes have passed since the last time she checked. Waiting was near torture to her.

Absentmindedly, Clarke rubs at her bare wrist, where a metal bracelet used to rest. It felt strange no longer wearing it, but her mother had taken it off after finding out Clarke was pregnant. That was a conversion Clarke wished she never had to have.

After missing, her normal heat cycle. Clarke knew something was wrong and instantly went out and got six pregnancy tests. When all of them came back positive, it took her another three days to finally go to her mother. Of course, her mom wanted to know what happened, but there was no way Clarke was going to tell her that she was drugged at a party.

So, instead, she made up a lie. She told her mom that she met Lexa at a party, and the Alpha unexpectedly went into her rut. Thinking she was safe with her implant. Clarke offered to help the Alpha out. Then wham bam pregnancy!

Clarke felt slightly bad about throwing Lexa under the bus to her mother, but sacrifices needed to be made, and Lexa wasn't there to defend herself. Plus, if anyone could handle her mother's wrath, it would be Lexa.

However, by the look on her mother's face. Clarke knew the doctor didn't believe her, but thankfully Abby didn't push her on it. Instead, the Alpha doctor set up an ultrasound. Confirmed Clarke was pregnant, then carted her away. That day Clarke's implant was taken out and her bracelet removed.

After the procedure, Clarke asked her mother why she took off the bracelet. Abby told her she was worried it might affect the pregnancy. Plus, it wouldn't hide her as an Alpha any longer. Now that Clarke was pregnant, any Alpha, Beta, or Omega would be able to smell she was with or without the bracelet. What was even more upsetting for Clarke was that even after her pregnancy, she wouldn't be able to wear the bracelet. Once an Omega or Beta had offspring, their scents would change. She would be a dam for the rest of her life, and the bracelet wouldn't cover that.

As much as Clarke had enjoyed hiding as an Alpha. She wasn't about to end her pregnancy over it. Sure, she was young to be a parent, but she had her family who would support her, and she had... Lexa.

Lexa was her Alpha. She was the sire to her pup(s), and even with the short amount of time, Clarke has known Lexa. The blonde knew Lexa would be there for her and her offspring(s). But was that something she wanted?

As if summoning the Alpha herself. Lexa walks in through the cafe door.

Blue eyes lock onto green.

Clarke's heartbeat flutters and her breath catches as Lexa's captivating eyes draw her in.

Not once had Clarke forgotten how intense Lexa's eyes were, but witnessing them again in person sends a shiver through her.

Lexa, for her part, only stutters her step slightly as she captures Clarke's ice-blue eyes.

The blonde Omega is just as stunning and beautiful as she remembers.

As Lexa makes her way over to Clarke. The Omega's eyes trail down the Alpha's tone body.

Clarke can remember every curve and every flex of Lexa's muscles as she laid under her. The Omega's eyes briefly cloud over with arousal before she shakes her head.

Good, God! She is supposed to be talking to the Alpha, not sexualizing her, or ... think how good it would be if Lexa took her over this table right now.

Fuck! No! Stop it.

Lexa watches as Clarke's eyes rack down her body. Instantly, the Alpha inside her prowls with pride, and a satisfied smirk tugs at the corner of her lips. Keeping step, she too quickly examines the Omega before her.

Clarke is wearing a blue, long sleeve, silk button-down shirt with the first two buttons undone. With her standing, Lexa can see Clarke's cleavage peeking out between the soft, opened fabric.

Lexa's throat goes dry, and she subconsciously licks her lips. Not once did Lexa taste or feel Clarke's breast that night they were together. If she got lucky to take Clarke again, she would rectify that mistake.

Clarke squirms in her seat, and Lexa catches the Omega's scent.

There is a slight hint of arousal from the blonde, but what has Lexa's mind short-circuiting is the Omega's distinct scent of being pregnant.

Lexa had believed Clarke when she told her she was pregnant, but smelling it for herself made Lexa's knees weak.

Oh, God. Not again. Do not faint! Do not faint!

Lexa stares down at Clarke while the blonde stares right back. For an awkward moment, they just stare at one another. Clarke seating and Lexa standing in front of her.

Silence.

"Hey," Clarke says, blushing finally finding her voice.

Hearing Clarke speak brings Lexa out of her haze, and she quickly replies.

"Hey."

"Wanna take a seat?" asks Clarke.

"Yes," Lexa answers but pauses for a moment. "Uh, I bought you this," the Alpha says, holding up a single flower. It's a daisy.

Clarke smiles at the white flower. How she didn't see it earlier in the Alpha's hand, she doesn't know? Quietly, the Omega accepts the gift.

"Thank you."

Lexa nods before taking the empty seat across from Clarke. "It's supposed to symbolize motherhood and new beggings, or so the florists said when I asked."

Clarke's smile grows as she smells the flower. Lexa went out of her way to purchase a flower for her and not just any flower. She got Freya's sacred flower. Clarke knows all about the daisy and what it stands for. For it's her favorite flower. Lexa had gotten her favorite flower without even realizing it. Granted, it did symbolize what the florists had said it symbolizes, but still, Lexa didn't have to get her the flower, to begin with.

"It's beautiful," Clarke comments, smiling up at Lexa.

Lexa's heart is beating a mile a minute as she looks back at Clarke holding the single flower. The purchase was on a whim, but now she has never been more proud of a decision.

"How are you feeling?" she asks quietly. Clarke has a kind of soft glow to her now that Lexa is really looking at her and not looking at her.

"I'm okay," answers Clarke. "It was quite a shock to find out, but everything has been okay." She adds.

Lexa nods. "How did you find out?" She asks.

Clarke sighs and puts the flower down on the table. She explains to Lexa how she missed her heat cycle and then all the steps after.

Lexa listens intently to Clarke's words.

"Did your mom say why the implant didn't work?" The Alpha asks once Clarke was done talking.

The Omega's cheeks blush instantly.

"Uh, yeah," she says, then trails off.

Lexa sits quietly, letting Clarke gain the words she wants to say.

"She told me a medial term but for us non-medical minds. She basically said, really dominant Alphas could overpower an implant."

Lexa's eyes widen. Not once was she ever told as a dominant Alpha that she could overpower an implant, and really that was something she should have known.

Clarke studies Lexa for a brief second and then says.

"Also, in other terms. You fucked me so good, Lexa. That you bypassed my implant and got me pregnant."

This time it was Lexa's turn to blush and choke on her own tongue while her Alpha howled in glee.

Clarke instantly hid a massive smile behind her hand while also choking back a laugh at the flustered Alpha in front of her. She could have delivered her statement a little less forward, but honestly, she wanted to stupefy the Alpha. Something about Lexa had Clarke wanting to keep the Alpha on her toes.

Was this normal?

Clarke wonders. The only other Alpha experience she had was with Finn, and Clarke can't remember ever instigating him the way she just did with Lexa.

Was it because she was pregnant with Lexa's pup(s)?

Clarke's brought out of her inward thoughts by Lexa finally composing herself.

"That was cruel," Lexa mutters, still slightly recovering from her coughing fit.

The Omega smiles widely back at the Alpha, not at all sorry.

It's at this time the waiter shows up. She's a very pretty Beta and instantly starts to comfort the recovering Alpha.

"Oh, are you okay? Here's a water," the waitress says, sitting a glass down on the table in front of Lexa then begins to rub Lexa's back.

Clarke instantly bristles, and a low growl vibrates through her throat before she even realizes she's doing it.

The low growl not only catches Lexa's attention but the Beta's as well.

"Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't realize she was claimed," the waitress quickly apologizes and backs away from Lexa. If there was one thing that Alphas and Betas knew, it was not to mess with a pregnant Omega. The waitress could smell the Omega and Alpha weren't a mated pair, but the blonde Omega was staking a claim to the Alpha anyways.

Lexa sits back, intrigued by Clarke's assertion over her but Clarke looks absolutely mortified by her growl.

"I'm sorry," Clarke utters. "I didn't mean to do that."

The Beta smiles kindly at the stressed-out Omega. "It's okay. I should know better than to mess with a pregnant Omega's mate."

"She's not my mate," Clarke blurts out.

Lexa hides the twinge of hurt that flickers through her at Clarke's words.

Clarke's right. They're not mates, and just because the Omega is carrying her pup(s). That doesn't mean Clarke will want to be her mate.

That thought stings more than it should.

Ignoring the ache in her chest Lexa asks the waitress for the menus.

The Beta hands them both a single laminated menu and then leaves.

Both Lexa and Clarke look over the menus silently. The atmosphere that was warm earlier is now cold.

"I'm sorry," Clarke murmurs behind her menu. Things were going so well, and then she had to go and mess it up by being jealous over the Beta.

Lexa looks up from her menu and over at the blonde, who is halfway hiding behind the menu. Clarke's eyes are down, looking at the menu, but Lexa can tell Clarke isn't reading it.

"You have nothing to be sorry for, Clarke," Lexa comments reaching over and taking the menu out of Clarke's hand before flipping it right side up.

Clarke's cheeks blush, and it sets a smile on Lexa's face.

"Thanks," Clarke mutters, embarrassed as Lexa hands her the menu back.

Lexa's smile grows.

Clarke was so cute when she blushed.

Lexa didn't want to ruin the mood the two finally came to, but one question was nagging at her mind.

"Are you going to keep-"

"Yes," Clarke says, cutting off Lexa.

The Alpha nods.

"I want to be apart of their lives, and I want to be there for you through it all," Lexa says quickly, praying Clarke doesn't shut her down and say no.

To be honest, the Alpha doesn't know what she would do if Clarke refused her, and she couldn't be a part of her own pup(s) lives or be there for Clarke, but she will do whatever the Omega wants.

"Lexa, we don't even know each other," Clarke replies.

"But we can," Lexa swiftly answers.

Blue eyes stare into green. Each search for an answer neither one knows the question to, but finally, Clarke speaks.

"Okay," the Omega declares softly.

Lexa's heart soars at the Omega's acceptance, and a smile beams across her face.

Clarke mirrors her smile.

"Let me take you out on a date," Lexa announces.

"We're kind of on one now," Clarke retorts with a small laugh.

"Oh, right. Well, I guess this is our first date then."
