Welcome to chapter 3 everybody! In this one we see the entrance exams and the first day at UA. We will also see how Izuku, and Katsumi interact after not seeing each other for months.

Chapter 3: Exams and Reunions
(UA High School/Entrance Exam Day)
Izuku was smiling at being in front of the gate of UA. He has always wanted to get into this school for as long as he wanted to be a hero. This was the school that one of his idols went to. All Might, the symbol of Peace and Justice. Even after being trained under All Might and being here for months he still had to prove that he was meant to be here at this school.
"Here it is. UA high school. The best hero school in Japan, arguably the world. And now is my chance to prove that I am meant to be a proper student here." Said Izuku.
Izuku was walking towards the gate when his phone goes off. He takes it out of his pocket and smiles at what he reads.
"Good Luck Izuku! I know that you will do well!" said Momo Yaoyorozu.
"I hope that you do well Izuku. I know that I will." Said Itsuka Kendo.
"Do well Greeny! I want to see you at UA!" said Setsuna Tokage.
"Good Luck Buddy! I look forward to having you in UA!" said Juzo Honenuki.
Izuku smiled at the text messages that he got from his friends. After meeting with Momo, Setsuna and Juzo the four began to hang out whenever they could. In doing so Izuku met with Itsuka Kendo, Setsuna's best friend and became close friends with.
Izuku was happy that he made some new friends after so long of not having many. Even if Setsuna was a little on the flirty side.
As Izuku reads his messages he didn't notice a girl behind him that was watching him and was giggling at him. Izuku heard the giggling and turned to the girl in question and blushed at her cute face.
"Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to distract you, but you looked so happy reading that I didn't want to interrupt." Said the girl.
"It's fine. My friends were cheering me on to do my best in the exams to get into UA. Are you here for the exams too?" asked Izuku.
"Yup! I want to be a rescue hero like Thirteen! She is my favorite!" said the girl with a smile on her face
He smiled back at the girl. "Well I hope that you do well to get in."
The girl blushed at Izuku's smile. "You as well." Said the girl.
"Well we better get going or we will be late for the test." Said Izuku.
"Right! Let's go… um." Said the girl since she didn't know the boy's name.
"Oh! Sorry about that. Names Izuku Midoriya, nice to meet you." Said Izuku with a smile.
The girl smiles back. "Nice to meet you too. My name is Ochaco Uraraka."
As the two walked into the building, neither Izuku nor Ochaco noticed a girl with blond hair wearing a hood over her head was watching them with a bitter smile on her face.
"Sigh. I missed so much, and it seems that he moved on without me. I'm glad that you're happy Izuku." Said Katsumi as she watched Izuku talk with Ochaco as they made their way into the building. Katsumi soon followed after them to prove that she belongs here as well.
The two then head their way into UA to start the tests. Izuku and Ochaco were seated next to each other for the written test while Katsumi was nearby and was staring at Izuku once again. Izuku was able to finish within a few minutes of starting thanks to his notes on hero work and heroes in general.
Afterwards Izuku was separated from Ochaco since she was assigned to sit somewhere else. Izuku noticed that a girl with a hood over her head was sitting near him but was ignoring him. Izuku tried to talk to her but she would respond to him. Izuku gave up after a few attempts. Katsumi felt like shit for not talking with Izuku, but she also knew that she has no real right to talk to him, not yet that is.
Just then a blonde-haired man with speakers around his neck walks out onto the stage and begins to speak.
"WELCOME TO MY LIVE SHOW! EVERYBODY SAY HEY!" yelled Present Mic before cupping his ear towards the crowd only to hear nervous silence and a few crickets chirping. Izuku was muttering to himself at seeing the Pro in front of him.
"WHAT A REGAL RESPONSE! BUT I GOT SHIVERS DOWN MY SPINE TOO LISTENERS! SO LISTEN UP EXAMINEES, I'M GOING TO GIVE YOU THE LOWDOWN ON HOW THIS'LL GO DOWN! ARE YOU READY?!" yelled Present Mic once again trying to get something out of the applicants but still only got silence. The crickets had become silent since a frog girl had eaten them.
"He is so cool. I listen to his radio show all the time." Said Izuku with a wide grin on his face.
Katsumi giggles at Izuku's muttering to herself, with her heart beating rapidly at hearing it once again. "I do too. He makes listening to the radio a lot more fun." Izuku looked to her when he heard Katsumi's voice. He wanted to speak with her, but Present Mic began to speak up again.
Present Mic then went on to explain the details of the combat test along with the different robots that they would be dealing with. But just before he could send the applicants to the testing grounds, one of the teens spoke up.
"Excuse me! May I ask a question?" asked a blue haired teen with glasses.
"Hit me!" said Present Mic.
"On the print out it says that there are four robots, but you only told us about three. I would have thought that UA wouldn't make such a mistake! And you!" yelled the teen who then pointed at Izuku who widened his eyes. "You have been muttering for the past few minutes! If you are not going to take this seriously then leave!"
"Back off Four-Eyes! How did you even hear him anyways?! That girl over there looks like she has better hearing then most people and she doesn't seem to be able to hear him you ass!" yelled Katsumi as she pointed to a girl with jacks on her ears.
Izuku chuckles at Katsumi's outburst, happy to hear it once again after almost a year of not hearing it.
"Ok everyone let's all calm down! Now that is not a typo or a mistake on my part. The last robot villain is not worth any points and is more an obstacle than anything else. So it would be in your best interest to avoid it if you can. Now look at your cards and see where you are going. AND GOOD LUCK SUFFERING!" yelled out Present Mic.
Izuku and Katsumi could only chuckle lightly at that. They looked at their cards to find that Izuku is in area B and Katsumi would be in area A. While Izuku wanted to talk with Katsumi, she made a bee line to her area without giving Izuku the chance to talk with her. Izuku sighed at missing his chance to talk to his friend once again and made his way to his zone.
Izuku was now in the waiting area for zone B. He looked over his knuckles to see that everything was ready, and he could feel OFA ready to go within him. Izuku then saw the girl from before was looking nervous so he went over to talk to her. Izuku tapped Ochaco on her shoulder which made the girl turn around to see him.
"Nervous?" asked Izuku.
Ochaco nods her head. "A little. I have this one shot to get in. I don't want to disappoint my parents."
Izuku nods his head. "If you want my advice, take a deep breath and calm down. Trust me when I say this if you do your best you will be fine." He said with a smile.
Ochaco blushes at Izuku's bright smile and nods her head. She then takes in a deep breath and was able to calm down. Just as she was about to thank Izuku, the blue haired teen from before placed his hand on Izuku's shoulder.
"This is the best hero school in Japan, not a place for dates. If neither of you can figure that out then you should leave and let those that are going to take this seriously be able to focus." Said the teen.
Ochaco pouts at the boy while Izuku rolled his eyes before speaking. "We understand that. But we are just talked to calm ourselves down. We would rather do that then be nervous for the exams."
Before the blue haired teen could say anything else, the alarm sounds that the test had begun. The doors to the testing site opens up allowing the applicants to start the test. Izuku grabbed the Ochaco's hand and then the two dashed out into the zone. What looked like green and indigo lightning sparked off his body as OFA surged thru his body while he kept Ochaco safe from him moving so fast. After that the two then began to fight off the robots that were in front of them.
Most of the other students were confused. Did the test start yet?
Present Mic groaned. "Hey! Get moving! A few others have started! Get going or you will lose out on points!"
That got the others moving. The other applicants got the lead out and ran into the zones to try to get into UA.
In area A Katsumi had rocketed into the zone with precision and was blasting robots with her quirk. Unlike Katsuki who focused on power, Katsumi worked on control to limit the damage that she would do to surrounding buildings and people.
Back with Izuku and Ochaco, they were in the middle of a group of robots. Ochaco had removed the gravity from the robots and sent them to the ground while Izuku used indigo to make a barrier around the duo to protect them from the robots weapons.
All the while, the teachers were watching over them from an observation room.
(Observation room)
The teachers were watching with calculating eyes as they watched the applicants deal with the robots. Many were impressed with what they are were seeing from the applicants.
"A hero must be observant in the field." Said Ectoplasm as he watched a tall gray-haired teen with multiple arms looking around with multiple eyes.
"A hero must be quick on their feet." Said the hero Snipe as he watched the blue haired boy from before.
"A hero must also have a bit of power to them as well." Said Cementoss as he watched Katsumi blast the robots with ease.
"But a hero must also be ready to work with others as well." Said a Nezu watching Izuku and Ochaco working together.
"They also need to keep a level head in the field as well." Said Aizawa as he watched Izuku deal with more robots with a clear head while also keeping a close eye on Ochaco who was still near him. Aizawa had a hidden smirk under his scarf as he watched Izuku fight. The boy maybe a problem child but damn did he have potential.
Most of the teachers were impressed with most of the applicants and with their use of their quirks. Many of the teachers were looking at Izuku with intrigue and pride.
"Midoriya is doing well so far." Said Ryo as he grinned at Izuku blasting a robot his green light while protecting Ochaco.
"That he is. Young Midoriya has come far in just ten months with his quirk and with the training that we put him thru." Said Ishiyama.
"But he is not the only one that is impressive out there." Said Sekijiro as he watched Itsuka fighting as well as a girl with grey hair and eyes lift robots into the air and slam them down onto the ground while a girl with horse like traits was running from area-to-area fight robots with her horns.
"True." Said Midnight. She was watching a girl with fawn hair use her quirk to make copies of herself to distract some of the robots and then take them down with some grapple techniques. She then looked to Izuku and Ochaco working together as well as Izuku help heal a girl with frog like features who was injured by a robot. "I can also see some strong looking young men in the group as well but Midoriya is still in my current top spot." She licked her lips when Izuku slashed a robot in half with a blade made of indigo light.
"Don't even think about it Nemuri. We don't need the headache that you are thinking of doing." Said Aizawa.
Toshinori could only chuckle to himself that Izuku somehow got the attention of Midnight. By his side is Sorahiko who was hired by Nezu to help Toshinori teach since Chiyo made a 30-minute speech on all the things that made Toshinori a poor teacher. It wounded Toshinori's pride, but he knew that he had no real teaching skills other than with teaching Midoriya.
"Seems that we have a good batch of students this year. But I don't know about these two that are out there." Said Sorahiko as he picked up two files. The files are of Katsumi and of another applicant by the name of Minoru Mineta.
"I agree with Torino on Mineta and Katsumi. Mineta has a long list of sexual harassment in his middle school. And Katsumi is related to Katsuki Bakugo who is still in a rehabilitation center and hasn't changed in the least." Said Sekijiro.
"While it is true that Mineta has a long list of problems, but his grades were good enough to allow him a chance to take the entrance exams. That being said, he will be placed in the general course due to his past misconduct. Miss Bakugo however is a different story. While it is true that she is related to Katsuki, she is not like her brother. Where her brother let his ego get the better of him, Katsumi has been working twice as hard to prove to others that she is not her brother. She graduated early to get out of Aldera and working hard in cleaning up her records to get into UA. While Katsumi does have a long way to go to clean her record, she is on the right path. Besides, one shouldn't be judged solely on who they are related to." Said Nezu.
The teachers nod their heads at the chimera principal.
"With that out of the way, the other students are doing well with the fake villains." Said Ectoplasm.
"True. But it is in the most desperate of situations that show what a true hero will do." Said Toshinori.
"Agreed. Power Loader, release the Zero Pointers please." Said Nezu.
Power Loader nods his head and grins. "Here it comes kiddies. Show us what you can do." Said Power Loader. He then pressed a button and then the ground began to shake as the Zero Pointers came out to play.
(With Izuku)
Izuku wiped the sweat off his brow after punching a three pointer. "Huff. Damn there sure are a lot of these things. I wonder where Uraraka or Asui is? I haven't seen them in a while, I hope that they are okay."
Just then the ground began to shake, and the buildings began to crack. Izuku looked up to see the Zero Pointers heading towards where he was. The other applicants began to run in the other direction with more than a few screaming for their mothers. Izuku was about to run off when he hear a shout.
"Ouch!"
Izuku turned to see Ochaco under some debris that the Zero Pointer made with Tsuyu trying to get her out but then had debris fall on her as well. Seeing that they were in danger and that no one else was going to help the two girls, Izuku dashed towards them.
Thanks to his training with Torino, it still makes Izuku shudder in fear just to think of the old man, Izuku was able to utilize OFA safely with a technique called Full Cowling. With Full Cowling active, Izuku ran towards the downed girls and used the green light to project a barrier above them to guard the three from the giant fist that was being brought down on them.
"Midoriya! Are you okay?" asked Ochaco as she tried to move but was unable to due to the ruble that was on top of her. She grunts in pain since her leg was under the ruble
"Kero, don't move Uraraka. It will only hurt your leg more." Said Tsuyu who then grunted in pain too.
Izuku, seeing that they needed help right away, glared at the zero pointer in front of him. When the giant robot raised its fist up to smash his barrier, Izuku struck. Izuku pulled his fist back and focused his will into his right hand along with One For All. As he does this something came to his mind that seemed to ring in his ears and he spoke the words that felt right to him.
"In brightest days, in blackest night, no evil will escape my sight, Let those that worship evil's might, Beware my power- Spectrums Light!" yelled Izuku.
He then extended his fist out and a large of green light blasts right thru the robot and into the air above. The entire facility could see the large beam of green light that came from Izuku. Speaking of Izuku, he fell over in pain as his arm was purple from broken bones due to the blast that he let out. But he pushed thru the pain and used his indigo light to remove the debris off the girls and began to use the violet light to heal them from the pain that they were in.
"Are you two okay?" asked Izuku.
"Us? Are we okay? What about you?! You hurt your arm!" said Ochaco.
"Kero! We should get you to a doctor." Said Tsuyu.
"Don't worry about me." said Izuku as he used violet on his arm, and it began to return to a normal color. He then showed them his arm with a smile on his face. "See? All better."
Both Ochaco and Tsuyu sigh in relief when they see that Izuku's arm in okay. The rest of the applicants could only look on with shocked expressions on their faces.
The teachers however had a different reaction to Izuku's stunt.
(With the Teachers)
"Holy Shit!" was said by everyone except for Nezu, Chiyo and Toshinori.
Nezu was giggling like a madman at the sight of a student completely destroy the zero pointer. It had been some time since anyone could do it. Chiyo was shocked to be sure but she was better at keeping her emotions in check. Toshinori however was a moment away from dashing out into the field at the sight of Izuku shooting off that blast thinking that Izuku would have lost an arm. But he sighed in relief when he saw that not only was Izuku safe but so were the girls that he was protecting. Toshinori grinned at his successor, acting like a true hero.
"Wow! That little listener went with something big!" said Hizashi.
"True. Did anyone know that he could do that?" asked Midnight to the other teachers.
"No." said Thirteen as she calmed down after seeing the large beam of light. "No, that was not something that Midoriya has shown us yet. Midoriya most likely wasn't planning on using that today."
"In the hero world you can't plan for everything. But it still is surprising that he did that. It was most likely an ultimate move" Said Aizawa.
Chiyo sighs as she gets up. "I better start making my way down there to help the injured."
"Very well Chiyo." Said Nezu as he watched Izuku talk to the two girls with a smile on his face. Nezu smiled when he saw that Izuku was not only making more friends but also did so well on the entrance exams. "Oh yes. I do believe that you have a place here Izuku Midoriya. And you just might be the one that I have been looking for."
(With Izuku)
Izuku helped the girls over to Recovery Girl to make sure that they were okay. Izuku was now on his way out of UA to head for home when he saw that a girl with fawn hair was being harassed by a boy since she didn't seem to like that he was so close to her.
"Like back up!" said the girl.
"Ah, come on! I just want to have some lunch with you. Why don't you want to join me?" asked the boy.
"Because I know that that is not the only thing that you want! Now leave me alone!" said the girl. She was about to walk away when the boy grabbed her wrist.
"I said that I want you to join me for lunch. Now let's go." Said the boy with a growl.
Just as the girl was about to fight back, the boy felt someone grab his shoulder and to his surprise he felt a sharp pain and fell to the ground. The girl looked to see a boy with green hair looking down at the boy that was annoying her.
"She said that she didn't want to go with you. Now lay there and think about what you have done." Said Izuku.
The boy tried to move his body but could only move his head. "You damn punk! What did you do to me?!"
Izuku smirks. "I pinched a specific nerve that causes instantaneous paralysis. It should wear off in a few minutes."
He then thinks. "Thank you Yellow for those lessons on pressure points."
"You're welcome Izuku." Replied Yellow.
The girl giggled as the boy on the ground yelled in rage. She then walks over to Izuku with a smile on her face.
"Thanks for the help fame! He was so not totes." Said the girl.
While confused by her speech, Izuku smiled back to the girl. "No problem. Some guys can't take a hint."
"So true." Said the girl. "I hope that you and I get into UA. I want to know more about you cutie." She then planted a kiss on Izuku's cheek and then walked away.
Izuku was blushing that a hot girl kissed his cheek. He had been kissed on the cheek before by Nejire a few times, but it was still something that he wasn't used to, not yet anyway.
As Izuku walks away he doesn't see that a teacher had seen the exchange and was smirking at what Izuku had done.
"Not bad. Midoriya dealt with the situation without any problems. Once Midoriya gets in I am going to have to ask him about that technique. That is something that will help in my field." Said Aizawa.
As Izuku walks out of UA, he noticed Katsumi walking away. He tried to make his way over to her, but she noticed as he made his way to her and ran off into a crowd of people and then onto a train, making Izuku lose her.
Izuku frowned when Katsumi left him behind. "Kacchan." Said Izuku. He then placed his hands in his pockets and walked on to his home. As he did, Izuku hoped that he would get the chance to talk with his friend.
(Midoriya Apartment/One Week Later)
Izuku was sitting behind his desk writing in his notebook on different theories on how to better us his quirk. He got one hell of a tongue lashing by his mother for almost blasting his arm off during the exams even if it was to help protect two girls.
As Izuku wrote in his notebook, he was concerned with two things, the first being if he got into UA and the second is Katsumi. He hasn't been able to talk to her since his quirk activated ten months ago and last week was the first time that he saw her. But to his confusion, Katsumi didn't speak with him once. He spoke to his mom about that when he got home that day and Inko said that it was probably because Katsumi still thinks that she couldn't talk to Izuku since Katsuki was still in therapy.
Izuku sighed when he thought of that. "When we get into UA I'll talk to her. She doesn't need to stay away from me anymore."
Just then his mother begins to shout for him. "Izuku! Your letter has arrived!"
Izuku bolted from his seat and took the letter from his mother and they both sat down on the couch to read it. But when Izuku opened the letter, a small disk fell out of it. When the disk powered on, a projection of All Might appeared in front of them.
"I am here!" yelled All Might.
"All Might?! But why is he in my UA letter?!" asked Izuku who was confused as to why the number one hero and his mentor was in his letter from UA.
"Young Midoriya, you have gotten a perfect score on the written test and received 78 villain points as well! The highest out of everyone! I cannot tell you how proud I am of you." said All Might.
Izuku smiled brightly at the praise that he got from his mentor while Inko hugged her son.
"However. This was not the only thing that we heroes look for in applicants to UA." Said All Might as he showed Izuku the footage of him protecting Ochaco and Tsuyu from the zero pointer.
"A hero is not only meant to fight villains but also to help others! That is why we have rescue points! And thanks to your bravery and selflessness the judges have given you full marks! 100 rescue points have been rewarded to you Izuku Midoriya. Over 178 points! You have over taken my old record young man! Take pride in that!" said All Might.
Izuku and Inko were both surprised and over come with joy as well as pride at what Izuku had done. Inko made plans on making Izuku his favorite foods as a job well done for dinner tonight.
"For someone that has only had their quirk for just under ten months you have gone above and beyond what others have done with their quirks that they have had for over ten years. But your journey is far from over young Midoriya. In fact, it has only just begun. Welcome Izuku Midoriya, for this is your hero academia!" said All Might as he reached his hand out to Izuku.
The projections died down with both Midoriya's crying tears of joy for Izuku's accomplishments. Not only getting into the school of his dreams but taking the new high score as well! Izuku would always remember this night for years to come.
(Midoriya Apartment/Months Later/First Day of School)
Izuku was getting ready for his first day of UA high. He was so excited to be in the school of his dreams. He had everything ready for the day. He looked into the mirror of his room and smiled at the reflection.
"This is it. The start of my journey." Said Izuku.
"I would think that your journey started when we woke up within you or when you started training under All Might and the other teachers at UA." Said White.
"That maybe true. But this is where my journey as a hero really begins." Said Izuku.
Izuku then makes his way out of his room to find his mother waiting for him.
All set Izuku?" asked Inko.
"Yup. I'm already for today." Said Izuku.
"Good to hear. Have a great day sweety." Said Inko.
Izuku then made his way to the door but was stopped by his mother before he could leave.
"Hey Izuku." Said Inko.
"What is it mom?" asked Izuku.
Inko smiled brightly at her son. "You look really cool."
Izuku smiled at his mom and walked out of the apartment to head to UA. Inko smiled at her son as he walked away to go to school. Inko then sighed while taking out her phone and brought up a number that she hasn't called for over a year.
"I think it's time to fix the bridge." Said Inko as she dialed the number. A moment later the phone on the other end picked up. "Mitsuki? It's Inko. How would you like to go for a walk with me?" Inko could hear the slight sobbing from the other end with multiple yes' being said by the Bakugo woman. Inko felt bad for her sister in all but blood that she didn't speak to her in over a year but now was the time to mend the damage done by Katsuki.
(UA High Entrance/First Day of School)
Izuku was now waiting for his friends to find out what classroom they are in. They all decided to find out together of which class they would be in as a final surprise.
"Izuku! Over here!" said Itsuka as she, Setsuna, Juzo and Momo ran over to Izuku.
"Sorry about the delay. There was a villain attack this morning and the traffic was worse than normal." Said Momo.
"I got stuck with the train due to the same villain attack. Damn idiots." Said Juzo.
"Its fine. I got here just now myself. Now let's find out which class we are in shall we?" asked Izuku.
"Yeah, come on open them and let's see if we are in the same class!" said Setsuna.
The group open their letters and read which class they would be in.
"Oh damn! Most of us are in 1B! Why couldn't we be in the same class?!" asked Setsuna.
"It's going to be okay Setsuna. We still have lunch together along with the hero courses that will combine the classes from time to time." Said Izuku.
"Izuku's right. Now we should get to our classes or we will be late." Said Juzo.
The group nods their heads with Itsuka and Setsuna giving Izuku a hug, Setsuna also pinched his butt much to the ire to Momo and Itsuka with Izuku blushing making him look like a tomato.
Izuku and Momo then walked to where the 1A classroom is to find a giant door waiting for them.
"Are our classmates giants or something?" asked Izuku.
"I think that the door is meant to help all kinds of people with different quirks." Said Momo.
"True. Okay, some of the best students in Japan is on the other side of this door. So let's go in and greet them." Said Izuku.
The girl nods her head as Izuku opens the door. Just then a loud voice was heard from within the room.
"Get off that desk! That is not something you sit on!" yelled the blue haired boy from the entrance exam who was yelling at a teenager with a bird like head.
"So noisy." Said the bird teen as he sat on his desk.
"You are disrespecting all those that have sat behind these desks!" yelled the boy.
The bird boy opens one of his eyes and looked at the blue haired teen. The bird teen then closed his eye and said. "Still noisy."
"Excuse me?!" yelled the boy. He calmed down and tried again. "Let's try again. My name is Tenya Ida from Somei Academy."
The bird boy opened his eye once again. "You may address me as Fumikage Tokoyami." He then closed his eyes again. "And you're still noisy."
"Excuse me?!" yelled Tenya once again.
Izuku and Momo couldn't help but chuckle at the sight. The chuckling got the attention of the rest of the class who widen their eyes when they see Izuku.
"It's him." Said Tenya.
"Whoa. I hear that that guy got the top spot in the exams." Said Denki Kaminari.
"Really? But he looks so plain." Said Hanta Sero.
"Maybe, but he must be powerful if he got the top spot." Said Kyoka Jiro.
Katsumi was in the room and smiled a bit at seeing Izuku. But she frowned when she saw that he was with a beautiful girl. She had to wonder if this girl was Izuku's girlfriend.
Tenya walks over to Izuku with his hand out to Izuku. "Greetings! My name is…" but is cut off by Izuku.
"I heard. Nice to me you Ida. Names Izuku Midoriya and this is Momo Yaoyorozu." Said Izuku.
"Nice to meet you Ida." Said Momo as she shook Tenya's hand.
Just then a voice was heard from the hall.
"Hey, I know that hair! Light boy!" said Ochaco with Tsuyu next to her as they made it to the room.
Izuku turned to see them, and he blushed a bit since they both looked cute in their uniforms. "Nice to see you both once again."
"Yeah it is! And we are in the same class too! It's nice to see you again too Midoriya." Said Ochaco.
"Same here, kero." Said Tsuyu.
Izuku chuckled at the girls as Ochaco bounced in place and Tsuyu was smiling a bit. "I want you both to meet a friend of mine. This is my friend Momo Yaoyorozu."
"Greetings. I heard from Izuku that you both got caught under some debris during the exams. Are you alright?" asked Momo.
"I'm fine. Midoriya used a huge beam of light and saved our lives! It was awesome!" said Ochaco.
"True kero. He then healed our injuries then his arm afterwards." Said Tsuyu.
"That sounds like Izuku." Said Momo with a smile at her friend.
Izuku just chuckled a bit at the praise. But then another voice calls out to the group.
"Like hey!" the group looked down the hall to see another girl was running down to them. "Tell me that I am not, like, late."
Momo smiled at the girl. "No you are on time."
"Oh good. It would not be totes to be late on the first day of class." The girl looked to Izuku and smiled when she saw him. "Oh hey it's you! Looks like we are in the same class cutie! And thanks again for the save. Names Camie Utsushimi."
Izuku blushed at the praise from Camie which caused Momo and Katsumi to twitch in jealousy while Ochaco and Tsuyu tilted their heads cutely. "Glad to see you too. Names Izuku Midoriya and you're welcome." Izuku then noticed something slinking towards them. He let out a sigh when he saw someone coming.
"Again Aizawa-sensei? Did you have a late night?" asked Izuku.
The girls looked to where Izuku was looked and became confused.
"What is that, kero?" asked Tsuyu.
"I don't know." said Ochaco.
"It looks like a giant yellow caterpillar." Said Camie.
"But that isn't a caterpillar. Is-is that a sleeping bag?" asked Momo.
"So noisy." Came from the caterpillar. "I'm not a caterpillar and if you are here to make friends then you should just leave. Besides, your friend already said my name." Said the man in the sleeping bag as he drank a juice pack.
Everyone, other than Izuku, had the same thought. "Who is this guy?!"
"Really Aizawa? Still with the juice packs? I thought mom hid all of them to make you drink something healthier." Thought Izuku.
The students then sat into their chairs as the man slinks behind the podium and stood up. "It took you all eight seconds to calm down. That's not good enough. Rational students would be faster." The students sweat drop. "Anyway, I'm Shota Aizawa and your homeroom teacher for this year. Now change into your gym uniforms and meet me outside in fifteen minutes." Aizawa then leaves the room with the students confused by what just happened.
The class got up a moment later and headed to the changing room. Ten minutes later the group of twenty-one made it to the field where Aizawa was waiting for them.
"You all arrived with time to spare. Maybe you brats do have what it takes to be heroes." Said Aizawa. The students sweatdropped at their teacher for that comment. "Now prepare for the quirk test."
"Quirk test?!" yelled the class, except for Izuku, Katsumi, Momo and Shoto.
"But what about orientation? We are going to miss it." Said Ochaco.
"If you're going to be heroes then you don't have time for pointless events like that. Here at UA the teachers have no limit on how we teach. Now for the test each of you will be doing the standard physical tests that you did in middle school only you will be using your quirks for them." Aizawa then picks up a ball and throws it to Katsumi. "What was your farthest throw Miss Bakugo?"
"About 70 meters sir." Answered Katsumi who spun the ball in her hand.
"Good now use your quirk. Just stand in the circle over there." Said Aizawa.
Katsumi nods her head and walks into the circle. While Katsumi was warming up, Izuku tapped Momo on her shoulder. Momo looked to Izuku with a raised eyebrow when she saw him point to the girl with jacks on her ears. Nodding her head at realizing what Izuku meant, Momo made some noise canceling earmuffs.
Momo walked over to the jacks girl and hands her the earmuffs. "Here. Put these on. Bakugo's quirk is loud, and I don't think that you will appreciate the loud noise." She said with a smile.
Kyoka was shocked but nodded her head and put the earmuffs on just in time for Katsuki to throw the ball and yelled out.
"Go!" yelled Katsumi.
Aizawa looked at his phone as the readings came in. "Knowing the upper limits of your quirks will help us figure out your full potential as a hero." He then showed the class that Katsumi got the ball to 705 meters.
"Holy crap! 705 meters?! That's crazy!" said Denki.
"So manly!" yelled Eijiro Kirishima.
"This looks like fun!" said Mina Ashido.
"This will be easy!" said Camie.
"Yeah! I want to go!" said Hanta.
Izuku sighed since he knows that Aizawa will get pissed by those words. Izuku looked to the teacher and like he thought Aizawa had a tick mark on his forehead in anger.
Aizawa twitched where he stood. He then growled lowly and looked back to his class. "Fun? Easy? If that is what you brats think then how about this? The person who comes in last or doesn't impress me, will be expelled from the hero course."
Most of the class gasped at that. "But you can't do that! It's only the first day! It's not fair!" said Ochaco.
"And life is? Natural disasters, villain attacks, and everything else that happens in the world. Life is full of uncertainty and unfairness. The job of a hero is to take on that unfairness and the danger so that the public doesn't have to. You all have to be ready for what is out there because I can guarantee that the villains will never play fair. That is why everyone of you must go beyond who you are, Plus Ultra." Said Aizawa.
The class go silent at that. What the teacher said made them realize that this job is not easy, but they are willing to do it.
"Each of you have three years to prove that you are hero material. Today you will prove to me that you can go the distance or not." Said Aizawa with a manic grin on his face. "Show me what you got."
With that the students became serious and waited for the tests to begin.
(50-meter dash)
Izuku watched as his classmates did the first test with some having an easy time with it like Tsuyu due to her frog like biology or with some difficulty like the invisible girl named Toru Hagakure.
Izuku was up next with Katsumi. She tried her best to not look at him which made Izuku upset a bit but put it out of his mind for now. They wait for the starting gun to go off and while they waited the two teens primed their quirks with Katsumi getting her explosions ready while green and indigo lightning came off his body.
Just then the gun went off and the two shot out like two bullets.
"Midoriya-1.55 seconds. Bakugo-4.14 seconds." Went the robot after the duo passed it.
Most of the class had their jaws on the ground at what Izuku had done while Aizawa was a little impressed with the speed.
"Holy crap! That was awesome!" yelled Hanta.
"Midoriya is so cool!" said Ochaco with stars in her eyes.
"Like wow!" said Camie.
"Kero." Said Tsuyu with a slight smile on her face.
The rest of the class was impressed with Izuku's speed since it was the fastest out of everyone. Not even Tenya was that fast but that was mostly due to not being able to get into a higher gear with his quirk.
The last pair to go was a feminine looking young man with blond hair and a pink skinned girl with fluffy pink hair and horns on her head. Yuga Aoyama and Mina Ashido stood ready and then shot off as fast as they could. Yuga's navel laser, while impressive, made it so that he had horrible stomach cramps after a single second of use. Mina used her acid to skate across the field and made it within 4 seconds with Yuga right behind her at 5 seconds.
Izuku bent over and inspected the acid on the ground that Mina left behind. He was impressed with her idea of movement but when he looked up to her, Mina noticed him looking. But rather then glare at Izuku for staring, Mina smirked and gave him a wink which made Izuku blush.
(Ball Throw)
Izuku was the last one to do the ball throw of the class. So far, Ochaco had the best score since she got the infinity score with Momo right behind her since Momo made a cannon to fire the ball. Izuku was now in the circle and thought of what he was going to do to get the ball into the air.
"So what do you think that Midoriya is going to do?" Asked Rikido Sato.
"I'm not sure. So far it seems that he is able to make whatever he wants out of light. He did crush the grip scale with that green clamp." Said Mashirao Ojiro.
"True." Said Kyoka Jiro. She then looked to Momo and asked. "Hey Yaoyorozu. Do you know Midoriya's quirk? It's almost like yours."
"I can see why you would think that. It is true that my quirk lets me create anything non-organic from the lipids in my body while Izuku can create anything he can think of out of light." Said Momo. She then pointed to Izuku's fingers. "Have any of you noticed his fingers yet?"
The class looked to Izuku and noticed his multi-colored fingers.
"Yeah. Other then his right thumb they are a different color. What does that have to do with his quirk?" asked Toru.
"Izuku's quirk is two-fold. It is both an emitter quirk and a mutation quirk. Each color represents an emotion that allows Izuku to use his quirk." Explained Momo.
"So he has nine quirks?!" asked Sero.
"Lucky guy!" said Denki.
Aizawa twitched at that comment. He then looked back to the class and glared at them. "You think that he is lucky? Let me tell you something then. Midoriya has only had that quirk for over a year."
"What?!" yelled everyone except for Momo and Shoto.
"But sir! His quirk is part Mutation! It should have been born with him!" said Tenya.
"It seems that none of you have thought about the power behind Midoriya's quirk then. Uraraka, Asui, Ida. You three were in the same area as Midoriya and saw his powerful beam attack. What do you think Midoriya could do with that level of power as an infant?" asked Aizawa.
All three, with even Momo and Katsumi, blanched at the idea of Izuku firing off that kind of power as an infant while also thinking of all the damage that would come from it. Katsumi also thinks that Katsuki dodged one to many bullets since Izuku's quirk didn't activate during one of his bullying sessions on Izuku.
"Besides. Midoriya's quirk needed outside stimulus to active properly. One of these stimuli was being near death." Said Aizawa.
Everyone was wide eye at that. Even Momo was wide eye at that revelation since Izuku didn't tell her or the others about that while Katsumi was ready to hyperventilate, thinking that Izuku almost died for his quirk to activate.
Izuku sighed at his teacher for saying that. He really didn't want his classmates to know that on the first day.
"I will say this, out of everyone here right now, Midoriya is the one who is most dedicated to this job and is willing to push himself to be ready for it." Said Aizawa.
Izuku scratches the back of his head at what Aizawa said about him. "Thanks for the words of confidence Aizawa-sensei. I hope that I can meet them."
Aizawa grins under his scarf. "Of that I have no doubt. Now do your throw so that we can finish."
"Yes-sir. Oh, cover your ears. This is going to get loud." Said Izuku. Just then he used the red light of rage to construct a large railway gun. Izuku placed the ball into it and yelled. "Fire in the hole!"
The gun fired out the ball while kicking up dirt and dust. When the class could see they saw that the ground was cracked with spider webs were the gun once was.
Aizawa looked at his phone with a raised eyebrow.
"Impressive." Said Aizawa.
"What's the score?" asked Izuku.
Aizawa showed Izuku that he got a score of 3797-meters which made the green haired teen to smile at the score.
"Holy shit! Almost 4000-meters!" said Denki.
"Damn. That is one of the best out of all of us." Said Sato.
"No kidding." Said Hanta.
Katsumi was surprise by Izuku's show of power but smiled all the same at seeing him so happy.
The class finished with their tests and were now waiting for the results.
"Since it would be irrational to show each of you your scores, I will just show everyone the scores from top to bottom." Said Aizawa as he showed everyone the test scores. Izuku smiled when he saw that he got first place and that Momo was second with Katsumi taking fourth.

The invisible girl almost began to let out tears when she saw that she was in last place. The class was just about to talk their teacher out of expelling her when Aizawa spoke up.
"By the way, I lied." Said Aizawa. This got most of the class to stop and stare at their teacher. He grinned a manic grin at them as he continued. "It was a logical ruse to make each of you do your best. That being said, you will need to work even harder than before Hagakure if you want to stay in this class."
"Yes sensei!" said Toru as she cried tears of joy at not being expelled on her first day of school.
Aizawa then looked to the rest of the class. "And that goes for the rest of you as well. If anyone thinks that they can half ass thru my class then I will not hesitate to expel you. Now go grab your syllabuses and head for home for the day. Class will resume in the morning." Aizawa then left to the teacher's lounge to start his plans for the class.
The class sigh in relief that no one was being expelled.
"Oh I thought that I was going to have a heart attack when I came in last place." Said Toru.
"Don't worry Hagakure! Sensei said that it was just a ruse, he wouldn't expel us on the first day." Said Mina.
"It was obvious. Aizawa would never do something like that." Said Momo.
"Don't count on it." Said Izuku as he walked to the changing rooms.
The class turned to Izuku as he spoke.
"What do you mean dude?" asked Eijiro.
Izuku chuckled. "Aizawa expelled his entire class last year, on the first day."
Everyone went wide eye at that and looked to where Aizawa was walking away. The teacher didn't turn around, but he heard Izuku and smirked that they know that he doesn't make empty promises. Momo had to hold back a shudder at being wrong, while Tenya was conflicted with how the teachers operate in UA. Shoto however was curious about Izuku even more since he knew about their teacher even before the man came into the classroom. The students then all made the same promise in their heads.
"Don't piss Aizawa-sensei off!"
The class made their way towards the changing room to get out of their gym uniforms and then head back to the classroom. As they did that Aizawa had met up with All Might, much to his annoyance.
"Spying on my class All Might? Don't you have a talk show to do?" asked Aizawa.
"Logical Ruse my foot Aizawa! April Fools was last month! We both know that this class has plenty of potential, even the invisible girl." said All Might.
"That may be true, but I will not hesitate to expel them if they slack off. Why are you here really? Shouldn't you be getting ready for your first-class tomorrow?" asked Aizawa.
"You're right I should but that is why I am here. While I may have a small amount of practice in training young Midoriya, a large class I have none. I wanted to see how the students would do in your quirk test to have a better understanding of them." Said All Might.
Aizawa stares at All Might with a critical eye. Some of what All Might said was truthful, there is something else to it that he was hiding. "There is more to it isn't it? What has got you worried?"
All Might frowns at the question. He looks to Izuku as he talks with his class as they walk away. Izuku has a smile on his face as he talks with his classmates.
"I can't hide anything from you can I Aizawa. I am still a little worried about Young Midoriya. You know of what he went thru due to your investigation of Aldera Middle school and with what Midoriya has told us. I can only hope that this class will be better for him." Said All Might.
Aizawa sighs at that. As much as he may dislike All Might for his flashiness and showboating, the man has a point. "I understand that All Might. But I can say that this class will be better than the ones that Midoriya had in the past as will 1B. That being said, Midoriya will no doubt meet any problem head on and not wilt under the pressure any longer. Now I have to get going to make up the plans for my class as should you." Aizawa then walks off to the teacher's lounge.
All Might stayed behind for a moment and smiled as he saw his successor laugh at a joke that one of his classmates made. It would seem that this class is doing better for him already. All Might then left to get ready for the next day with the class and Torino.
(UA gates)
Katsumi was walking towards the gates of UA to head for home after the day that she just had. Her first day at school and she was tired from it. She wasn't expecting to be doing a quirk test today or have to be in the same class as her childhood friend as well. She tried to hard to not talk to him, even thou she desperately wanted to. But just as she was about to leave, she felt something on her leg. Katsumi looked down to see a ball and chain attached to her leg made of indigo light.
She sighed in annoyance since she knows who did this. "Let me go Izuku."
Izuku walked over to her from behind a tree. "Not until we talk."
Katsumi looked away from him, not wanting to look him in the eyes. "I don't have anything to say to you."
"Liar." Said Izuku as he walked to Katsumi and stood in front of her. "Come on Kacchan. Talk to me."
Katsumi was now shaking where she stood. "I don't have the right to talk to you."
"You're wrong Kacchan." Said Izuku.
Katsumi had tears in her eyes now. "Why? Why do you still call me that? After all that I have done?"
Izuku smiled at Katsumi and brought her into a hug which made Katsumi stiffen in shock. "You didn't do anything to me. You being my friend has helped me get thru many of my harder days when I was younger. And don't you remember?" Izuku asked as he pointed the necklace that he gave Katsumi years ago. "Till the end."
Katsumi let her tears fall down her face as she brought Izuku into a tight hug. Izuku returned the hug with a smile at having his childhood friend back once again.
What Izuku didn't know was that a few people had seen the sight with most having smiles on their faces. The guys of 1A had smiles while Eijiro shouted manly to the heavens above. The girls of the class thought that it was a cute scene with a few having slight twitches of jealousy course thru them.
Now with the friendship of two sets of Midoriya's and Bakugo's fixed they would do everything they could to keep it that way.

(Omake/During the Third Month Of Izuku's time at UA)
(Meet Ms. Joke the Violet Lantern)
Aizawa was running for his life while cursing in his head at Nezu and the problem child for his current predicament. The reason why he was running was due to Emi Fukukado aka Ms. Joke was chasing him down while being powered by Izuku Midoriya's violet quirk. Emi was sent over by the school, Ketsubutsu Academy High, that she works with to organize a multi-school competition in a few months. She had accidentally walked into gym gamma when Izuku was about to test his violet quirk on Midnight by order of Nezu when Emi was hit by mistake.
Now Emi was chasing Aizawa down to finally get him to marry her. It didn't help that Emi's costume now looked like a violet wedding dress.
"Get away from me Emi!" yelled Aizawa.
"Not this time Aizawa-chan! I'm not leaving until you and I are married! Now hold still so that I can fit you for your tuxedo!" yelled Emi as she used the violet light to make a tuxedo for Aizawa.
"shit, Shit, SHIT! When I get my hands on Nezu and problem child they are going to get it!" thought Aizawa.
As Aizawa ran away from the marriage happy Emi, the other teachers, who were also in the gym, were laughing their asses off.
"Hahahahahaha! Haven't seen Aizawa run that fast in years!" yelled Hizashi as he held his sides.
"Oh! They look so cute together! I hope that we get invited to the wedding!" said Nemuri.
"Run man run! She's gaining on you!" yelled Sekijiro with a smile on his face.
"Stop laughing and help me!" yelled Aizawa.
"I think not. This should help you get some sleep after all. You have been a lot crankier lately." Said Nezu as he drank some tea with a hidden smirk.
"Don't worry! Once we are married I'll make sure that he gets his much-needed sleep! Along with something else!" said Emi with a wide grin on her face.
The teachers of UA roared in laughter with Hizashi falling to the ground in laughter. Izuku, who was still in the room but was ordered by Nezu to not take the power back from Emi back, blushed at hearing this from the green haired teacher/pro heroine.
Aizawa glared at his fellow teachers while dodging Emi's attempts to get him. This would continue for another hour until the power of the violet light returned to Izuku but that didn't stop Emi from chasing Aizawa. She did finally corner him in an alley that he was unable to escape from. His screams of terror rang out as he was dragged away by Emi as the woman had a wide smirk on her face.
Even to this day Aizawa refuses to speak of what happened after he was dragged off. But for those that know him well, they would see a ring on one of his fingers that he would take off when he was on the job or if it would get damaged.
I hope that you all like how this chapter went! With this the first day of school has started and Izuku along with Inko have reconnected with their friends after a year of not speaking with the other. And thank you Animefan13579 for the idea for this omake and I will use your other ideas for later omakes. This one was just to good to not do right away.
Just so that you know, these omakes are real. So keep that in mind as you read them.
The next chapter will hopefully be out soon, and I will try to keep working on this as well as my other stories.
