Three immortal beings, radiating power, emerged from the shadows by a graveyard.

"Percy..." the smallest said to the tallest. "Are you sure you want to do this?"

The form with the spiky hair chimed in. "You haven't seen her since..."

Percy cut them off. "Nico, Thalia! Quit being the overprotective cousins! I have to do this."

His voice broke at the end.

Nico sighed in resignation.

The three halted when they came across a marble grave.

ANNABETH CHASE

"A hero's sacrifice is the highest gift

a human can give to the world, far

surpassing wisdom."

Percy wanted to cry.

Athena had made that. She had said nothing in the world was truer.

He knew Annabeth would have loved that quote.

Though she highly prided wisdom, she would never hesitate to agree that a hero giving their life for the good in the world was far more treasured by her.

Percy conjured a wreath of flowers, and set it gently on her grave.

After all the seven but Percy and Leo had died, Percy was a mess. Thalia wasn't much better, as she had lost both her brother and her best friend, who was like a sister to her.

The ghost of Achilles had visited Percy. He told him that he was lucky the curse of Achilles had been washed from him, since if your tie to the mortal world died, you would have a slow and painful death as the molecules of you body slowly crumpled. Annabeth was Percy's tie to the mortal world, and she died.

Percy told him he would have deserved that, and then told him he never wanted to see his stuck-up face again.

Poseidon, hearing this, asked Zeus to offer Percy, Thalia, and Nico the gift of godhood.

As Percy no longer had any reason to stay mortal, he agreed.

Nico and Thalia did as well.

Percy tore his eyes off of his long-dead lovers grave.

"Lets go." He said.

Thalia and Nico each took one of his hands, and walked away.
