(A/N: Easter Sunday today, and clocks go back an hour because Daylight Savings has ended. This chapter may help hint a few plot points)
At Borg Tower, an elevator goes up. Inside the elevator were Harumi and Mr. E. Several seconds later, they arrive at what use to be Cyrus' office, but was now Oni's throne room. Oni was looking out at the city with Scars standing behind him. "One of them was preggers, my emperor." Scars said, explaining why he gave the group he encountered Tania's rations. "Guess seeing them reminded me of what I should have in the future. I assure you, it won't happen again."
"It better not." Oni replied, not looking at him. "Your punishment won't be as swift as you think." Scars was a little shocked from the threat.
Soon, Harumi came over to them, and knelt before Oni as Scars backed away for her. "Emperor Garmadon." She said. "The citywide sweeps have proven unsuccessful."
"I don't understand. I have all the power, and he has nothing."
"We believe there could be some dissenters harbouring him. We have already captured the Yellow Ninja's mother, but she is refusing to talk."
Oni comes out to the edge, and looks at his golem. "Then we should squeeze the city until the traitors scurry out for us to crush them." He rises a fist as the golem did so as well. Sounds of distant screaming were soon heard.
"Ninjago City has fallen. Their fear controls them. Any more could make them desperate. Desperate people take desperate actions. The Green Light are making some themselves." Oni soon lowered his arm as he his golem did at the same time. Harumi soon stood up. "May I suggest something more surgical?" She turns to her left as Oni did the same to see Mr. E come into view. "He won't rest until he finds him, because he doesn't need rest." He unsheathes his swords, jumps up between two pillars, and spins before landing with a roll. "He's built to be a cut above the rest." The pillars soon come down before Mr. E stood up.
Oni looks at him briefly before turning to Harumi. "Find my son." Mr. E sheathes his swords as Harumi soon saw him kneeling, and leaves before she knelt and leaves as well. "Scars, go with them." Scars turned to Oni and bowed before leaving to join them.
They make their way to some bikes where Killow and some bikers already were before stopping. "The Emperor wants his son found. Find him, even if you have to search every nook and cranny, or attack men, women and children."
"Yes, Quiet One." Killow said.
"Leave the Wind Ninja to me, though." Seymour replied. "I'm not letting him take my brother's child as his own."
"Killing Blake won't bring back Timor, mate." Scars said.
Seymour immediately got off his bike, pulls out an SP-21 Barak and aims it at his head. "Don't think I don't know that, you no sense speaker."
"Put the gun down, you fag."
Harumi comes up to them. "Scars is still useful to us." She said. "But, we shall let you kill Blake."
"Thank you, Harumi." Seymour replied as he backs away while putting his gun away.
"Now, ride!" Everyone gets on their bikes before starting them and take off as Harumi watches them.
In the storage container, it was P.I.X.A.L.'s turn to train Lloyd, and was in her mech, suggested by Nya as she wanted him to try his hand at a bigger opponent. Lloyd was knocked to the ground before bouncing back to avoid a punch from P.I.X.A.L.'s mech, and twirls in the air, as Nya, Geoff and Blake watch while eating some food. Blake had a bandaid on his right index finger from cutting himself while opening a can of beans. "Embrace your power." Geoff said while he was eating some beans as Lloyd ducked down to avoid a punch. "Before you can find it, you must find it within." Lloyd soon moved between the mech's legs while rolling forward, jumps onto the mech's left hand, jumps onto the right, and bounces off of it to land on the ground before poising and charges at the mech while twirling. P.I.X.A.L. looks at her spectators before lowering her mech to clamp her fists together, which Lloyd dodges by lying down on his back, and rolls backwards.
He gets back up to try and use his power. "Come on." He muttered before P.I.X.A.L. soon punched him, knocking him down before raising an arm to strike again, but Lloyd rolls forward to avoid it, and runs behind her mech as she turns around to kick him, but he somersaults and backflips before immediately turning to jump and roll to avoid a stomp attack, backflipped to avoid two punches, and looks at P.I.X.A.L. as the three Ninja look on. He soon jumps into the air, managing to avoid a punch, jump onto the left shoulder, and backflips off of it, quickly bouncing to get on its back to kick it forward, backflips off of it again, and poises.
P.I.X.A.L. immediately spins the top part of her mech around, brings out a chain, and wraps it around Lloyd, knocking him down. "Fight it, Lloyd." Nya said as she, Geoff and Blake ran over to them. "Be stronger than what holds you back."
"Let me out!"
"Fight it!" They all yelled. Lloyd tries his best to get out of the chain, but groans and falls down.
"I-I can't." Nya turns to P.I.X.A.L. "I can't! Just let me out of these ****ing chains, okay?"
"Don't be such a baby!" Geoff yelled. "Grow a pair, and do it yourself!"
"Geoff!" Blake yelled, coming up to him. "It's enough." Blake looks up at P.I.X.A.L., who soon dropped the chain.
Feeling bad for goading, Geoff comes up to Lloyd, helps him up, and undoes the chain. "I can't." He said, walking away.
"Or won't?" Geoff asked.
Nya turns away. "You're not the only one who lost everything." She said to Lloyd as Geoff hands him some water. "I lost my friends, I lost my husband, my brother."
"It's not just you, Nya." He comes up to her. "I lost my sister."
Nya turns to Lloyd, in anger. "They'd want us to fight."
"What if-?" Lloyd couldn't bring himself to ask the question. "What if-? What if my powers don't ever come back?"
P.I.X.A.L. soon came out of her mech. "Then we fight on with what we have." She said.
"And we build what we don't." Blake said.
"We get stronger." Nya said. "Each and everyday."
"But we need you to believe in yourself." Geoff said.
Lloyd sighed as he walked away. "I watched the Bounty get crushed to pieces." He replied. "And the others... and my girlfriend... They all gave their powers to save my life, and I-I couldn't do anything. All I could do was watch..."
"There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think of them. But as long as Nya, Maggie, Blake and I have our powers, and breath in our bodies, we're going to protect you. And you are going to defeat your father. Because what else is there for us to do? Give up? I don't give up."
Lloyd doesn't feel encouraged by his words at all. "Then maybe you should lead the Resistance... Master." He coldly stated before turning around, and walked away, leaving the others completely shocked, especially since he called Geoff a master.
Before he could speak, the door suddenly opened, and Maggie comes in. "We have to leave." She said.
Dareth soon came up behind her. "Like pronto." He said.
"What is it?" Nya asked.
"Garmadon's forces are sweeping the entire block." Cirrus replied as she and Misako came up behind Maggie and Dareth.
"And we're not talking brooms and dustpans, but a full-on battalion." Dareth said.
In the alleyway a few minutes later, Barry knocks over a garbage can before hitting it in anger as the Sons of Garmadon search everywhere. Seymour notices the door was partly open. "Hey." He called out to Mr. E, who stops his bike, gets off, and comes up to the door while Seymour got out his pistol and Scars came up behind them.
Mr. E kicks the door down as he, Scars and Seymour head inside, and look around. Scars come up to the remains of the firewood as he knelt down to pick up one of the empty bean cans. "Oh, Ninja, you litterbugs." He said as he got up and turned to Mr. E, who was looking at P.I.X.A.L.'s mech. "Looks like those hoons were here the whole time." He then looked at the side of the can to see some blood on the sharp edge of the lid before touching it and looked at it on his hand while throwing the can aside before they all head out.
Once they were outside, Scars shows the blood to Killow. "Blood's still fresh. They're close."
"Spread out, and make a five block perimeter." Killow ordered the members. "We'll box 'em in." They immediately take off as Mr. E, Scars, Killow and Seymour got back on their bikes, and take off as well.
Lloyd, Nya, Geoff, Maggie, Blake, Dareth, Misako, P.I.X.A.L. and Cirrus come out from hiding behind some rubble and dumpsters before Geoff moves up to a nearby piece of debris, looks ahead, seeing it all clear, and motioned them to move before they start running down the alleyway. Geoff soon stops them once he heard engines, and they see some members pass by. "We have to go the other way." He whispered.
Cirrus turns around to see some members behind them. "They're coming this way too." She replied.
"We're blocked in." Misako whispered.
Lloyd soon looked up at a billboard. "Do you think we can all make it to the top?" He asked.
"Uh, gonna be honest with you." Dareth replied. "You might have to carry me."
"And me." Cirrus said. "I don't want to harm the baby."
A foghorn was soon heard. "No time." Nya replied before they take off.
When the members come into the alleyway, they move along some debris before Killow stops, and holds his hand out. "Hold." He said, making them stop as Scars stopped his bike on top of a garbage bag, causing it to crunch, and Blake, who was underneath it with his right arm underneath the crushed bag, to silently hissed in pain before Maggie puts a plank of wood into his mouth to silence him and ignore the pain.
"Did you hear something?" Scars asked Killow.
"No."
"I'm pretty sure I did." He looks at the crushed bag. "Must've just been the garbage I ran over."
"Let's keep moving."
They soon take off as everyone soon emerge from the debris and garbage bags as Blake looked at his bruised wrist, groaning as he did so from the appearance of it being completely purple. "That was close." Misako said.
Dareth sighed out of relief as he came out of a pile of garbage bags. "If I were a lemon, I'd be lemonade." He replied.
"Blake, are you alright?" Cirrus asked, noticing him clutching his arm.
"I think my wrist is broken." He replied, hissing as he does so when he tries to make a fist.
"Let's get out of here." Nya said. "We'll find something to help you on the way."
They start to move as Lloyd looks around their surroundings before noticing something. "The Bounty." He said, picking up a photo of himself, his friends, family and the Elemental Masters in the aftermath of the Second Serpentine War. "This is where it was destroyed." He then noticed a photo of himself and Gewuji. "This was taken on our first date." He picks it up to look at it.
"We have to move on." Geoff replied, placing a hand on his shoulder. "We're all that's left. Blake's wrist is fractured, and it will swell."
Lloyd turns the photo of himself and Gewuji over, and sees something on it before taking it off to look at it. "Is that-?" Blake couldn't ask the question due to the pain of his bruised wrist, and seeing the item.
"It appears to be a tea leaf." P.I.X.A.L. said.
Geoff takes the tea leaf, and sniffs it. "Traveler's Tea." He confirmed.
Lloyd soon got up, and notices something. "I only see one thruster." He said, coming up to it to pull back some debris. "Do you see the other?"
"No." Nya replied.
Blake soon looked to their right. "And there's only one sail." He said, grabbing it with his left hand.
"I see the anchor, but no rudder." Maggie said, looking at it.
Geoff looks closer at the wreckage. "There's no helm." He said.
"This is only half the ship." Nya said. "That means..."
"The other half is somewhere else." Misako replied.
"They could still be alive." Lloyd replied. "Even Gewuji." The girls soon giggle out of relief with Geoff sighing happily before the foghorn was heard, and they look to see the Sons of Garmadon surrounding them with Mr. E wearing the Mask of Vengeance. They soon look behind them to see Killow, Scars, Barry, Seymour and some bikers behind them.
They all soon poise, except for Blake, who only held out his left arm, which Seymour notices. "Aww, did wind boy get himself a booboo?" He asked, causing the bikers to laugh, except for Scars.
"That must've been what I stopped on."* Scars said in his thoughts.
"That'll make killing you easy. For my brother."
"Everyone, get outta here." Dareth said. "I'll hold them off."
"Dareth, there's too many!" Blake replied.
"I told you the Brown Ninja would give his life to protect you. I may be slow and out of shape, but I keep my word." Mr. E soon charged at him from the air, causing him to scream before something punches him aside, burying him in a pile of debris.
They look to see a metal fist, belonging to someone familiar. "Back in Metalonia, it is not polite to scare weak men." It was Karlof.
"Karlof?" Maggie asked before someone appears behind Cirrus.
"Hello, gorgeous." It was Shade.
Some members, including Scars, soon charge at them from behind, but a big dust cloud came at them, hitting their eyes, causing them to scream as it spreads around them before they crash into each other, knocking themselves down on the ground. The dust pile soon formed, revealing Powder. He was wearing a black leather trench coat, purple vest, black shirt, purple suit pants, dark purple dress shoes and a light green tie. "The honour is all mine." Powder said.
Something very fast soon ran past them, stopping to kick a member down. "It's been a while..." They soon charge at another member to punch him. "...but it looks like..." They ran at another member, punching him. "...you..." They soon ran a few members, knocking them down. "...could use our help." They stop to raise their right arm out, striking Barry back. It was Griffin. The four Elemental Masters start moving around, taking down member after member, shocking Killow, who is soon knocked off his bike by Karlof, and ends up trapped underneath it.
"The Elemental Masters." Lloyd said.
"This way!" Powder yelled as he waved an arm, and they immediately follow him.
"Open fire!" Seymour yelled as most of the members not knocked down started shooting them. "Borg, you son of a bitch!"
"Sir, he has no moth-"
"SHUT UP!" Seymour yelled at a nearby member, holding an Uzi before forcing him forward. "Stop them!"
As they turn into an alleyway, the member comes up behind them, preparing to fire. But as he was about to shoot at them, webbing soon appeared on his face, making him collapse backwards onto the ground. They look to see Spider, wearing a red beanie, black leather jacket, green shirt, blue jeans and brown sneakers, at the passenger side of a dumpster truck. "Come on!" He yelled as he got inside.
The driver then peeked out. It was Skylor. "Get in." She said.
They head up to the truck. "Skylor." Lloyd replied.
"How did you know?" Blake asked.
"Let's just say we've had our ear to the ground." Skylor replied.
As they get in, Griffin and Shade bring Dareth to them. "P.I.X.A.L., we need the mech." Lloyd told her before heading in as Griffin and Shade help Dareth in, and P.I.X.A.L. takes off as Geoff turned to see the Sons of Garmadon catching up to them.
"Go!" He yelled, holding his hands out, creating his Sand Shield as the members fire at them, not noticing the truck because of the shield's large size, but the bullets hit the shield, and he turns to them. "Get going!"
"Come with us, Geoff!" Misako yelled.
Geoff growled as he backed up to the truck, and places his right foot on to the back of the truck. As they were about to grab him, Geoff moves the truck forward with his foot, which soon slowly moves. "What are you doing?" Lloyd yelled.
"Protect the Green Ninja!" Geoff told the others before looking at him.
"Come on! Get on the truck!"
"Lloyd, this is my ending, but I'll find a new beginning. Believe it... master."
Lloyd backs away a little before Maggie moved forward. "I love you!" She called out to her boyfriend.
"I know. Tell that to my sister as well, when she comes back." The truck takes off as everyone else was shocked before Geoff turned back to the shield as the gunfire stopped and he lowered it, sending the bullets to the ground. He soon charged at the members with a determined yell.
Skylor soon made a right turn as everyone at the back saw the last sighting of Geoff taking down a member before it was soon gone, and they were all soon saddened before they hear a gunshot, shocking them all. "Beach ninja stayed behind." Karlof said.
"Well, you thought we were alone in this." Nya told Lloyd. "We have friends."
"Yeah, but we lost another one." He replied.
"Geoff sacrificed himself because he believes in you, Lloyd." Misako said.
"We won't let it be in vain." Blake said. "We will avenge him, and stop your father, once and for all. Then, we can find a way to bring the others back." Lloyd then looked at the photo of himself and Gewuji.
