Species Overview

Glyphidarians are a deep earth race of liminal who evolved for the harsh environment

Community

Glyphidarians live by a hierarchy and live in communital caverns called nests

Origin

Having their deep origins from the mantle, They have been skeptical of humans and other liminal showing very little trust

History

Glyphidarians became endangered five times and nearly extinct, forcing their evolution, the first time was due to a lack in both components for repopulation, The following three times were due to overpopulation and the severe lack of food, The last time which is said to be in the last three centuries, was because their first method of reproduction was far too slow and they needed to evolve again

Anatomy

Glyphidarians all have mammary glands but some of what appear like human male genitalia and other what appear as human female genitalia

Markings

The markings on Glyphidarian carapaces are made up of a permanent paint-like substance, every rank higher in the species gains another marking to the quantity, all species sharing one marking/marking meaning, That being a breeder, Breeders are valued by amount of Recessive genes, The more recessive genes, The higher the value of the breeder, Higher regarded subspecies breeders aren't viewed as high as low subspecies breeders

Heart- The breeders mark

Crosshair-unique to the spitters and second half of twin dreadnoughts,represents scouts and trackers

Sword- the sword represents warriors which are most commonly Preatorians

Shield-Common among Hivegaurd dreadnoughts, Dreadnoughts and twin dreadnoughts, the shield symbolizes the nest defenders

Crest markings- only found on oppressors which are considered the only compatible leader of a nest, The crest markings show status of goal and not position of power

Arts

Known for their excellent Sculptures and figures carved of stone, Glyphidarians arts are generally used to decorate the Oppressor's personal quarter

Careers and Occupations

Most Glyphidarians fall into one of three categories for Careers; worker, Fighter, Crafter, The workers are the Glyphidarians that expand and shape nests using their claws to dig the formations, Fighters are those who attack rival nests and defend their own nest, Crafters are those who make art, teach offspring And just overall take care of the "technicalities" of the nests

Ranks

Grunts- The lowest supspecies and regarded as filth, Left with the short straw every time if they are even lucky to get one, Grunts are essentially only regarded in a good manner when treated as an object as a breeder for any rank higher than the spitters

Web spitters- Treated only a little better than Grunts as their silk makes for good clothes, Rugs, Robes and padding

Acid spitters- usually treated fairly as they are the primary hunters in the caverns as their acid melts away the prey's carapaces or exoskeletons, leaving most of the meat intact and ensuring the kill

Preatorian - treated as an honorable guardsman as they are the primary defenders of their nests

Dreadnought- seen as good breeders for Twins and Hive gaurd but are treated as a better Preatorian otherwise

Twin Dreadnaught- They are mostly recruited for Nest wars and are treated with equal respect of a Hive guard

Dreadnaught Hive guard- Hive guard are treated as Court nobles were and were considered the Elite Guard of Oppressors against assassination attempts and assaults

Oppressors- treated as kings and queens of hives, anyone to disrespect an Oppressor is sure to face death or a worse punishment

Myths

The Menace, Believed to be an ancient Glyphidarian Sub race with more strength and armor than any Oppressor, able to single handedly dismantle nests in a matter of minutes, no menace has ever been found but some say they are just above the outer core, at the bottom of the mantle
