Chapter Three: Platform 9 ¾

Harry was much less nervous than the last time he went to find Platform 9 ¾. Granted, he had done this before so it wasn't really his first time. With Hedwig and his loaded trolley, he spotted a clan of red-heads making their way towards Platforms 9 and 10. Seeing the Weasley family, he decided to let the events happen as they had before.

"Excuse me? Could you tell me how to get to Platform 9 ¾?"

"Not to worry. All you have to do is run at the barrier between Platforms 9 and 10."

Harry boarded Hogwarts Express as the Weasley family discussed the newly revealed Harry Potter. He searched for an empty compartment so that Hermione and Draco could talk. He settled into the only empty one and waited, hoping that Draco would manage to beat Ron to the compartment. Just as Harry was losing hope, Draco appeared and settled in next to him.

"Sorry about that. I had to get away from Crabbe and Goyle. Did they always follow me around this much?"

Harry scoffed. Just as Harry was about to get started on filling Draco in on the upcoming events, a boy with red hair opened the compartment door.

"Do you mind if I- what you doing here Malfoy?" Ron looked back and forth at Harry and Draco.

"Well, Weasley, you see, we are friends…" Harry discreetly kicked Draco. Though the hooded figure said that Ron wouldn't remember anything, Harry still remembered all the good memories that they shared. He looked at Draco.

"...But you can sit with us. Just keep your filthy rat away from me." Draco drawled.

Ron looked uncomfortable but silently accepted the invitation. He sat opposite Draco, next to Harry.

"Is it true? Are you really Harry Potter?"

Before Draco could respond with what was sure to be an insult to Ron's intelligence, Harry pushed back his hair to reveal the lightning shaped scar.

"Wicked."

The boys sat in relative silence until Hermione came barging in.

"Oh, um " she looked at three boys in the compartment and quickly regained her composure, "I'm Hermione Granger. And you all are?"

Harry quirked an eyebrow at Hermione who smiled back at him with a look that reassured Harry of her memory.

"Harry Potter. This is Draco Malfoy and Ron Weasley." Hermione shook each boy's hand.

"Well, I have to go look for a toad. It belongs to a boy named Neville Longbottom. Have you seen it? No? That's okay. Well, I will see you at the Sorting I suppose."

Hermione turned on her heels and walked out of the compartment. The three would have to find a time later to discuss the upcoming events. Harry's mind wandered off, reliving some of his favorite moments from his time at Hogwarts. His thoughts were interrupted when the train finally came to a halt. Harry took a deep breath and made his way towards the boats with the other first years.

He was home, again.
