I am back once again and continuing with my journey with my Pokemon, This will be a two-parter as these events happened during my travels in the Hoenn Region. This is where they face a threat on the island.
I do have to apologize for being unavailable during these times, I was in life doing a lot of college work and many more so for now I will continue with my planned stories.

Hoenn Experience Chp. 3 Part 1: The Flyer Wars
The story begins with a few police officers visiting an island 90 miles from Professor Populus' island. They hear a report of the island getting destroyed by an army of the Pidgey line, Hoothoot line and the newly introduced Taillow line.
"Take these groups of people and pokemon to the Pokémon Center." The Police Officer #1 stated to the other policemen as he continued to look around and find some missing people and Pokémon in the rubble.
"Man, to think some wild Pokémon would be able to level this town into rubble." The Police Officer #2 came walking to help out.
"Yeah, not only that, some Pokémon who are Hoenn native got the worst of the attacks." The Police Officer #1 picks up a heavily injured trainer and his Slakoth.
"We should inform other islands and the Professors." The Police Officer #2 stated as he goes to contact them.
"Of course, we should inform them about them as soon as possible." As Police Officer #1 left as Police Officer #2 calls Professor Populus.
Populus Island
"Okay... I got it... Thank you for the warning... I will call the other professors as well... farewell." Professor Populus hangs up as he grabs his two Pokéballs. He then turns to see Eevee and tells him, "I will be out for a few days, take care of this island and tell the others to prepare themselves for the upcoming attack."
"Eevee", Eevee nodded and as the Professor left his home, Eevee went to the back door and into the center field for a meeting.
"EEEEEVVVEEEEE", Eevee shouted to everyone that there is a meeting, and out came Magneton and Mareep.
"Maaaa, Mah-Mah Maaaahhh", Mareep told Eevee that Drowzee is still busy healing a Wurmple that migrated to the island along with some other new Pokémon living on this island.
"Eevee, eevee-eevee?" Eevee thanked Mareep for the info and is now questioning where Houndour is.
"Magneee…", Magneton told them that he saw Houndour asleep in the cave and he knows not to disturb him at all.
"Eevee… Eevee-vee", Eevee understood it so he decided to tell the message from Professor Populus.
After explaining the message, they all agree to inform everyone to be prepared if any of the bird Pokemon ever come to their island and go their separate ways. However, little does everyone know that a Spearow was listening in and decided to go and inform Fearow in the Cave Isles, who was talking to the Island Guardian.
Cave Isles
Spearow arrives on the island and goes into one of the holes where Fearow is there, as well as his Spearow brethrens and is meeting a shadowy Pokémon.
"Spearow Spearow-Spearow", Spearow explains to his leader that there is an attack of three bird Pokémon and might have a chance to appear on the island.
"Fearow, Fearow-Fearow", Fearow smiled as this will be a chance to gobble down some Bug-Pokémon without any interference, but before that, there is one Pokémon he wants out of commission. He turns to the guardian to come with him and take over the island.
"grrrr…" The Guardian Pokémon only growled which was an approval to Fearow and so they waited until nightfall.
Meanwhile in Populus Island
Eevee is cleaning outside Professor Populus' lab when he hears a cry in the sky and as he looks up, he gets hit by a Wing Attack.
"Eeveeeeeeeee", Eevee was hurt but bounces back up and sees his attacker.
"Taillllooooowwww", Taillow, the Tiny Swallow Pokémon, made his greetings and went for a Quick Attack, in which Eevee retaliated with a Quick Attack of his own.
Both collided and were pushed back. Eevee was about to recover, Taillow had already made his move and went for another Wing Attack, sending Eevee flying to a nearby tree.
"Eee-veeee…" Eevee is injured but is prepared for more as he goes for a Tackle. Unfortunately, Taillow dodged it and prepared for a Peck. Only this time Eevee landed back to the ground and used Sand Attack.
"Taillllooooowwww", Taillow was blinded as he crashes to the ground, which Eevee started running forward for his new move Take Down. The hit landed and Taillow was sent to a nearby tree defeated, as Eevee collapsed from his exhaustion.
An hour later, Eevee woke up and looked around and saw Taillow still unconscious from their fight. He decided to take Taillow inside the lab to grab some berries to heal both of them. Once they recovered, Taillow woke up and was prepared to fight.
"Eeeveee Eevee!" Eevee told Taillow that he does not want to fight and wants to know what he is doing here and why he attacked him.
"Taillow… Taillow", Taillow was about to refuse to answer, but since Eevee defeated him in battle, he decided that Eevee earned his explanation.
According to Taillow, he is here as a scout, searching for food for his family. He saw this island filled with berries and bug Pokémon and was a good place to eat and conquer. However, they also have a second mission, and that is to help Pokémon from the Hoenn Region, as he has seen Pokémon from the region getting injured heavily.
"... Eevee…", Eevee understood it well, and he does want to help Taillow and his family with protecting the new Pokémon, but he will not let any bug Pokémon get eaten.
"Taillow!" Taillow gets upset by Eevee denying him and his family being here, but he has heard enough.
"TTTAAAAIIILLLLOOOWWW!" Taillow warned Eevee that he and his family will come back, but there is no salvation for any Pokémon that is not Hoenn native when they ever clash with the Pidgey and Hoothoot lines.
Before Eevee could say anything, Taillow flew off the island. Eevee now knows what Pokémon attacked the islands from what he has heard from Professor Populus. As much as he wants to warn everyone, he knows that Magneton is on watch all day and all night as well as the Guardian Pokémon of Populus Island for now. Not only that, but the sun is going down and would soon be nightfall. He will inform all of them about their preparations on the next day as Eevee goes to his fluffy bed to sleep.
Meanwhile on the coastal side of Populus Island
A large bird Pokémon is carrying something and is approaching the Island. Drowzee has healed up Wurmple and is going back to his friends. Once Wurmple was out of sight, Drowzee returned back to his hut, but suddenly two figures crashed from the leaf roof and crashed to the ground.
"Drooowwww?" Drowzee walked up to the crash only to see a large wings covering him. Drowzee maintained calm and moved back to see a Noctowl, the Owl Pokémon, holding her wings from Drowzee. However, she lowered her wings and wanted his help to heal the Pokémon behind her, and when Drowzee saw what Pokémon was, it was an unconscious Pidgeotto, the Bird Pokémon.
"Hoooo, Hoooo", Noctowl told Drowzee to help heal Pidgeotto as soon as possible.
"Drowwww…", Drowzee was unsure, but soon he started using psychic to lift Pidgeotto up and moved him to a leaf bed and also brought some Oran and Sitrus berries to give to Pidgeotto.
After the unconscious Pidgeotto ate the berries, he started to recover as he slept. Once everything was settled, Drowzee and Noctowl had a small conversation about how they got here and how Pidgeotto was heavily injured. According to Noctowl, she saw Pidgeotto flying through a hurricane, not only that, Pidgeotto was also injured from a certain fight. She saw Pidgeotto flying out of the hurricane, but he was too exhausted to fly more. Before he was about to hit the ocean, she picked him up and flew off with an unconscious Pidgeotto on her talons. Soon she searched for any habitable islands until she found this island and that is how they got here.
"Drowwwzee", Drowzee was a bit impressed of Noctowl's story and was curious about the certain fight, but Noctowl declined to answer.
"Hooo…", Noctowl told him that it is not something to tell anyone, plus it is for the best of the safety of this island. Drowzee raised his nonexistent eyebrow as now he is more curious, but he will find a way to see her mind.
"Drowwwzee", Drowzee told Noctowl to take a rest for today and he will continue on recovering Pidgeotto.
"Hooo… Hoooo", Noctowl was confused with his offer, but she does want to stay to see if Pidgeotto is okay, so she accepted.
Nightfall
A lot of the Pokémon are asleep on trees and the tree grounds. A few Pokémon that are nocturnal are roaming around interacting with others. Along the path to the lake, Magneton was floating around patrolling the area for any danger that would appear and attack the sleeping Pokémon. As he finishes the forest area, he spots some Spearows flying towards the island.
"Magneeeetttoooooon", Magneton sent a Thunderbolt and struck the Spearows off the sky. After the attack, a large group of Spearows circled around Magneton to blind him as Fearow flew in front of Magneton.
"Feeaaarrrooowww", Fearow told Magneton that this is the end of the road for it, Magneton said nothing and sent another Thunderbolt towards Fearow, only for the Thunderbolt to change direction and out of the circle. Magneton was confused at first, but before he could react, something came out of the ground and struck Magneton with a Dig, launching it near the lake with a heavy injury.
"Graawwwwwww", A silhouette of a Pokémon that came out of the hole was a Rhydon, the Drill Pokémon. He sees Magneton getting back up slowly, so he charges towards Magneton with his horns starting to spin.
"Maggnneee… ton", Magneton sees the charging Rhydon and launches his Tri Attack move. The move made contact with Rhydon, but the attack did nearly nothing. Before it could do anything else, Rhydon had closed the distance and used Horn Drill on Magneton.
Magneton immediately collapsed as Rhydon roared for his victory. Before he could do anything else, Magneton got back up with only a tiny amount of energy left. Rhydon was about to attack one last time, but was then hit by a Hydro Pump from the lake. A shadow appeared from the lake and the water splashed everywhere where an old Blastoise, the Shellfish Pokémon, appeared roaring back telling them that this is his territory and they should leave.
"Blllaaaaaasssstttoooiiisssee", Blastoise speaks to Rhydon that attacking any Pokémon in his island is not permitted on his watch, otherwise he will deal with him.
"grrrr...Grawwwww", Rhydon glared at Fearow for the mess he is in, but he then turned back to Blastoise and told him that he will challenge him for the island.
"Blast!" Blastoise accepted his challenge, and started moving towards the oceans to go to the Sacred Grounds. Rhydon followed suit as both of them entered the ocean and swam away.
"Feeeaaarrrrowwww", Fearow told his Spearow Brethrens to grab the Bug Pokémon.
"Spppeaaaarr-SPEAAAARRROWWW!" Immediately, they got hit by a Thundershock, that came from Mareep. Later Drowzee, Eevee and even Houndour appeared. Far away, Noctowl is looking in their direction preparing to attack if provoked.
"...FEAROW!" Fearow decided to fly away as their mission is complete and will come back the next day after the war ends with every Spearow following their leader.
Before they could continue, Magneton collapsed as it lost consciousness. Drowzee used Psychic to lift Magneton and took him to the lab as his hut is not made to heal a Pokémon like Magneton.
In the lab
All of the Pokémon are there waiting for the result of Magneton. After a few minutes, Drowzee appeared and told them that Magneton is resting, though he will be out of commission for three days.
"Eevveee…", Eevee is now worried, Magneton is out of commission and the Guardian Pokémon Blastoise is away. Without the two main protectors active, the island is defenseless from any attacks of the outside world.
"Grrr…", Houndour told everyone that he will go back to sleep and tomorrow he will start patrolling in Magneton's place. All he could hear was a thank you from Eevee and Mareep as he went back to his cave.
"Eevee! Eevee-eevee!" Eevee told everyone to prepare themselves for any hint of danger that will happen. Everyone nodded as they all went to a light sleep.
On the coastal side of Populus Island
Drowzee is returning back from the lab, he left Magneton resting since is done healing and the only thing he needs is rest. Once he got there, he saw his patient, Pidgeotto, awake and moving.
"Droww…", Drowzee wants to know what he is doing out of his bed, he has not yet been healed. Pidgeotto was silent, until he saw Noctowl flying towards him, and he immediately pushed Drowzee away, preparing for a fight. However, Noctowl stopped in front of Pidgeotto, not moving at all.
"Pidgooo?" Pidgeotto was confused as to why she did not attack him.
"Hooo,hoooo", Noctowl told him that she was the one who brought him to Drowzee and she could not look away from an injured Pokémon, not even to Pidgeotto the Terror. Pidgeotto went silent again. Drowzee was confused, but Noctowl told him that Pidgeotto got his Terror name as he is the strongest Pidgeotto of the Pidgey line. He has taken down Noctowls and Swellows on his own and was a monster to all.
Before any questions made, there was a small explosion near the forest, and heard a "Pidgeyyy" sound over there.
"Drow-" Drowzee was in a shock and used one of his moves 'Disable' to wake up all Pokémon on the island immediately, but before he could do anything else, there was a lot of shadows outside his hut, and with a sound of a "Hoot", the shadow Pokémon used Confusion on the hut.
"Drowwwwzeeeee!" Drowzee in return used Confusion of his own to keep the hut in place. Noctowl decided to tell Drowzee to take care of Pidgeotto, she will go and meet to stop the Hoothoot attack-.
Before she leaves, a group of Taillows come in and attack the Hoothoots and now the battle begins as the Pidgeys from the forest also come in and attack both of them. Thus, the Flyer Wars of Populus Island begins.
Every minute more and more of Pidgeys, Hoothoots, and Taillows coming from the horizon to fight. Soon some Pidgeottos, Noctowls and Swellows appeared in the skies and finally a few Pidgeots started flying around and battling.
"Drowww…" Drowzee is a little exhausted, but now he has to take care of Pidgeotto from flying away to join as his injuries is barely healed and he does not want another bird in the sky battling. As he placed Pidgeotto back to the resting place, Noctowl left.
Meanwhile in the Forest
"Piiiiinnnnnssssiiirrrrr!" Pinsir was sent flying and was defeated by three Pidgeottos as they went after the Wurmples and Seedots, but before they were about to grab them.
"Eeeeeeveeeeee", Eevee used Quick Attack and hit Pidgeotto away. The other two Pidgeottos turned and were about to use Wing Attack, but they did not notice the Wurmple's String Shot, soon they would see that Eevee was able to dodge both of them and knocked both of them down with a Take Down.
"Eevee, Eevee Eevee", Eevee thanks the Wurmples for the help, but he wants them to evacuate, as they are in danger. The Wurmples and Seedots nodded and started moving towards the cliffs. Meanwhile, some Wingulls started moving other Pokémon, but a lot of them are getting attacked as well. Due to the amount of Pidgey line and Hoothoot line, the Wingulls are getting overwhelmed and dropping the Pokémon, only for the grounded Pokémon catch them and leave themselves as well.
Eevee is doing everything he can to keep the evacuated Pokémon, but he too is getting overwhelmed by the massive amount of attacks. Soon a Thundershock came in and defeated a small group of Pidgey. When Eevee turns, he sees Mareep standing on the rocks, very injured, but still ready to fight some more.
"Maaaaa!", Mareep told Eevee that she will help with the evacuation as well. Eevee nodded as they both continued attacking the Pidgey line, Hoothoot line and Taillow line.
On the coastal side of Populus Island
Drowzee is still keeping the hut from getting crushed from the surrounding Hoothoot, while keeping Pidgeotto from flying outside. Eventually, the Hoothoots stopped attacking, Drowzee came out and saw a few Noctowls flying around and forcing the Hoothoot to stop attacking.
"Drowww…" Drowzee was thankful that the attack stopped and he can finish healing Pidgeotto so he can join in the fight.
After a few minutes, the healing process is complete and Pidgeotto rips the leaves tied upon him. He turned to thank Drowzee and promised to call off the Pidgey line from attacking and started to leave.
Outside of the hut, a larger Noctowl appeared and attacked the other Noctowls to finish the hut. As the Hoothoots prepared for another Confusion, Pidgeotto came out of the hut at near blinding speed and struck every Hoothoot down and attacked the larger Noctowl, freeing the other Noctowls. Drowzee comes out of the hut and sees Pidgeotto taking on a large Noctowl on his own. Eventually Drowzee and the other Noctowls used Confusion to stop the larger Noctowl and was taken down by Pidgeotto's Wing Attack.
Pidgeotto thanked both Drowzee and Noctowl for the help, Drowzee shrugs off and Noctowl bowed down. Drowzee went back to the hut and gathered all Oran Berries and gave some to every Pokémon who are conscious as the main three marches ahead to the main area.
In the Forest
"Maaaaaa!" Mareep was sent flying as a group of Taillows and Swellows faced Eevee who was not faring well either as he was still barely standing.
"Taaaiiilllloooww!" Taillow shouts at Eevee that there is no salvation to him as he goes for a Quick Attack and Eevee does the same. Both of them clashed again, but this time Eevee was launched back while Taillow barely moved from that attack.
"Eeeeee…", Eevee is too exhausted to fight on, but he is determined to protect his friends as he continues to stand his ground.
"Taaiiilllowww…. Taillow!" Taillow is surprised by Eevee's determination, but he is going to end this.
As Taillow and his family were about to use Wing Attack, a powerful Flamethrower was launched and scorched many of them. The Taillow was able to dodge the flames as he saw many of the Taillow brethrens fall from the sky and into the ground. Taillow looked at the one who sent the Flamethrower, it was Houndour, ready for a fight.
"Taiiillllooowwww!" Taillow immediately flew towards Houndour with a Wing Attack, but was pushed back by Houndour's Feint Attack. Taillow flew away as some Swellows that were fighting the other bird charges at Houndour with Aerial Ace as Houndour used another Flamethrower that took down most of the Swellows. Some of the other Swellows were able to dodge and were about to hit Houndour, A powerful Wing Attack hit the rest of Swellows, The main Pidgeotto appeared, soon the main Noctowl and Drowzee followed him as they fend off other flyers.
"Pidgoooooo", Soon they heard a powerful screech from the sky. As they look up, dozens of Noctowls and Swellows fall in defeat, as the main Pidgeotto flies up to greet his boss, the large Pidgeot with a few other Pidgeots on his side preparing for the main fight. As the main Pidgeotto was about to say anything, a Wing Attack from the large Pidgeot hit Pidgeotto as he was launched to the ground.
"Pidgeeeoooo!" The large Pidgeot told the main Pidgeotto to not say anything, all he sees is a traitor of the Pidgey family after he went missing in a storm. Pidgeotto struggles to get up, but the words that his boss told him caused him to faint.
"Pidgeeeoooooooo!" Now he wants everyone who resists defeat so he sends all Pidgeots to attack everyone, as he watches. All of the Pidgeots are on their way to attack all of the Pokémon who are still standing or fighting. As the large Pidgeot watched, a Flamethrower was coming towards him and he dodge with ease. He sees that Houndour is challenging him, so he decides to amuse Houndour with a Twister. The Twister was large enough to blow away trees, some flying Pokémon were blown away and launched Houndour back, with some injuries from the Twister.
"Raaawwrr!" Houndour immediately got back up and charged towards the large Pidgeot with a Bite, but was met with a powerful Aerial Ace. This stopped Houndour and ended up falling to the ground.
"... Grrrr…" Houndour tries his best to get up, but is now too weak as many bird Pokémon charge towards him with Pecks and Wing Attacks.
"EEEEEEVVVEEEE!" Eevee used Take Down to protect Houndour from the rest of the bird Pokémon. However, one of the Pidgeots used Wing Attack on Eevee and launched him to a tree as he can no longer fight. He barely opens his eyes as he sees Drowzee and Noctowl struggling with two Pidgeots, Mareep barely handling her opponents, and Houndour still getting beaten by the Pidgeot that launched him. He also sees a crater as the Pidgeotto got up, but has a sadness of betraying his family. In the corner of his eyes, as another Pidgeotto is coming towards him as he closes his eyes.
"TAAIIILLLOOWW!" Taillow flew towards the other Pidgeotto and used Wing Attack. That launched Pidgeotto away as Taillow prepared to attack the large Pidgeot. However, Pidgeot slapped away Taillow without using a single move. As Taillow fell, the tired Eevee ran towards him and caught him. Eevee thanked Taillow for saving him, and all Taillow could do is give him a nod.
"Pidgoooo!" The large Pidgeot called the rest of the Pidgeots to come back as he wanted to end everyone. Once everyone is out of the range, the large Pidgeot launches a Hyper Beam towards the Pokémon below.
Everyone on the ground is shocked to see a powerful move coming this way, as a few fliers of the Hoothoot line, Taillow line and some unlucky Pidgey line got caught by the blast, as it approaches to the ground.
However, a Thunderbolt and Flamethrower combination, came out of nowhere and struck the Hyper Beam and stopped it. As the smoke clears, some of the Pokémon are happy to see both Pikachu and Charmeleon here to rescue them.
Soon a lot of other bird Pokémon were taken down easily by Skarmory and another Pokémon flying through the air. On the ground, Marill appeared and crashed onto the lower leveled bird Pokémon as another new Pokémon appeared from underground and used Bite on the rest of the lower leveled bird Pokémon.
Once all the Pokémon made their entrance, I came out preparing for an intense battle.
"Alright everyone, time to end this." I told all my Pokémon to prepare as I ran to each of my injured Pokémon and healed them with Full Restores and Leppa Berries. Once ready, they all jumped back to battle. I even healed up the Pidgeotto, the Noctowl and the Taillow back to full health as a thank you for protecting my friends.
"Piiidddgggoooo!" The large Pidgeot was furious with my appearance and told everyone to attack me specifically. The other Pidgeots flew down to attack me, but were stopped by my Pokemon. Pikachu made quick work on two Pidgeots with a single Thunderbolt. Charmeleon took down the Pidgeot that had been attacking Houndour with a Fire Blast. Skarmory took down two Pidgeots with a Steel Wing. My newly caught Pokémon, Tropius used Body Slam on the Pidgeot and came crashing to the ground. The last Pidgeot tried to escape, but was hit by Marill's Rollout that was powered up from both the Defense Curl and the constant attack of the other bird Pokémon.
Meanwhile, the rest of the Pokémon, Eevee, Mareep, Drowzee, Houndour, the Noctowl, the Pidgeotto, the Taillow, and the newly caught Pokémon Trapinch took down every lower leveled Pidgey line, all of Hoothoot line and all of Taillow line.
"PIDGOOOOOOO!" The large Pidgeot finally started his move and charged at us with an Aerial Ace.
"Alright Pikachu, use Volt Tackle"
"Pikapikapikapika, PIKA!" Pikachu charged at Pidgeot with a coated yellow electricity and struck each other, causing an explosion. As the dust settled, Pikachu was still standing with some injuries from both the move and the attack, but the large Pidgeot was unconscious on the ground. Soon all bird Pokémon saw all this and they immediately picked up their family and flew away in different directions.
Pidgeotto calls for the Flyer Wars to officially end, and even those who are far away have heard it and have not denied it. Pidgeotto turned to Eevee and Drowzee and nodded at them as his thank you. Soon he picked up his boss and left as well. Noctowl thanked Drowzee for everything with a hug and nodded at everyone as she flew in the same direction as Pidgeotto. Taillow came walking towards Eevee and told him that he enjoyed the battle and decided that he could stay here. As he finished his statement, a few Taillows and a Swellow appeared and told the Taillow that they agreed. They have talked with the Wurmples and Seedots as well as the Wingulls, and they told them that they were happy here with some new friends to be around. Taillow was a bit upset when he heard about them staying as well, as he wants to be the special Taillow, so he told Eevee that he wants to join him and his trainer. Eevee smiled and looked at me with sparkles in his eyes. I smiled as I understood what he was saying, so I took out my Pokéball and threw it to Taillow as he stood there. After some movements later, the Pokéball stops and Taillow is caught.
A Few Days Later
"Hello everyone", Professor Populus returned and greeted everyone. "Ah Lucas, I did not expect you to be here."
"Yeah, but I did hear of the Flyer War happening on the islands from the Hoenn Region", I told him as I gave all my Pokémon new food I made during my travels.
"Of course, but as soon as the island meeting was about to start, I heard rumors that the Flyer War had died down. According to the sources given to me, I have heard that after coming to the areas where we are standing, the war has shrunk dramatically." Professor Populus tells me as he looks around the island for any damages from the war.
"Ohh really, well I guess they understood that fighting for their own ideals was harming them and decided a truce." I told him with a bit of smugness.
"Hahaha, well I guess we may never know. Anyway, if you want, I can help you with any resources before you leave again." Professor Populus told me as he knows that I have done something to the war. I followed him inside, and told everyone to enjoy themselves before leaving again.
"Eevee, Eevee", Eevee started his greeting to Trapinch, Tropius and Taillow to the main group.
"Traaaaa Trapinch", Trapinch greeted them in a casual way as he sees everyone as an equal.
"Troooo…", Tropius greeted them in a low tone. The voice alone shows that he is intimidating, but is very formal and approachable to be friends with.
"Taillow", Taillow greeted them normally as he knows a few of them during their fights.
There was a bit of a silence, but soon they started talking again how they would get stronger to help their trainer.
Soon I called them for a bit of celebration of both the end of the war and Magneton's recovery. They all smiled and went inside Populus lab to celebrate. Before I closed the door, I saw the lake moving and stopping, I shrugged and went inside to celebrate.
Well, I finally made the story, thank you for reading this story and sorry for taking too long. I have had a bit of hiatus on a lot of things because of school. Anyway, the next part is Part 2 and a bit of a tournament. So I hope you stay tuned.
