"I wish I never made my first wish," she finally said.

She woke up on the floor of the hidden basement. Nathalie's body laid still in the glass confinement and her husband was just waking up himself.

"What happened?" he asked.

"I'm sorry," she said.

"For what?"

"I-I was a selfish person. I tried for months to get you to love me and you don't. You love her and that's okay. I was a part of your life but I'm not anymore, at least I won't be in a few moments."

"Did I miss something?"

"I erased your memory a lot," Emilie admits, "I wish to undo Gabriel's wish."

Similar to most times when she makes a wish she sees a bright flash. This time the light hits her. She falls to her knees before collapsing altogether. She deserves this though, no, she deserves worse than this, she is lucky to receive a light punishment instead.

"Nathalie!" Gabriel exclaims as he watches her body shift.

"Sir, what happened, I thought I-"

Gabriel cuts her off and kisses her again. This time though he's Gabriel and she's Nathalie. This time he is truly victorious and he wants nothing more than to be right here in the moment.

"Sir, I-"

"I love you, Nath," Gabriel tells her, "I don't know what I have been through but from what she told me, I always did and in every timeline I always do."

"I- I love you too."

Gabriel kisses her again because he has every right to kiss the woman he loves. He can't lose her, he feels like he has been without her for so long even though he can only remember a day. He knows Nathalie is meant to be here beside him, just like she always has been. Their victory kiss lasts an entirety for both of them. At one point they know they had to pull apart, at one point they know they have to continue on with their lives. They know Emilie's victory had also been her greatest downfall but theirs was not going to be the same. Now, they know they have each other though, so maybe they had won before either of them realized it or maybe they won by realizing it for themselves. Whatever way it was to go, victory had never tasted so sweet.
