Chapter 2: Richard I + The Four Servants
I really don't understand why he wasn't willing to make the trade with me. I have a very strong saber class servant that goes by the name of Richard and he's bound to be stronger than Sakura Matou.. Correct?
I really don't know much about Sakura, but the reason I want her as my servant instead of Richard is due to her being able to destroy a whole city in a matter of a second with her darkness powers if need be.
"You do know I'm going to regret this master.." Richard says to me with a frown on his face. He doesn't realize that I don't care what he'll regret and what he won't regret. In my eyes he's no more than a servant that will win the holy grail war for me. I am the master of Richard, my name is Kiritsugu Emiya the second.. An altered version of Kiritsugu Emiya from one of the Fuyuki wars.
I look exactly like Kiritsugu, but I'm completely different as a person. All I have is greed, I don't care to save anyone, I only want victory for myself. "I don't care what you'll regret. Saber, Just win this fight for me.."
"Of course.." Richard is obviously disappointed in me, but it doesn't affect me one bit. I have absolutely no interest in letting the master of Sakura Matou win against me, as I will win no matter what. If we pair both Richard and I together, we're by far the strongest master and servant without a doubt, and I'll prove that to the other masters by stealing Sakura from her master right now!
If I prove that to the other masters, there's a chance that I'll be able to possibly win a spot in the top ranking masters which would be absolutely worth it. I know for a fact that god is just waiting for me up there to take my seat! It's not even an assumption, it's a fact!
Richard may doubt me as a master, but since all he is is a servant, it won't change what I'm going to do. In the past, I've had people kneel before me and call me their king. I will for a fact do that again which is why having Richard on my side will make it even easier.
"Saber, are you ready to take on Sakura? This will be a tough fight guaranteed." I ask Richard a simple question which he just nods his head agreeing to my question. I know it's time to win against Sakura and her master, which I'll make it a reality. There's no need for someone that thinks they're a strong master, when they aren't anything but someone that got lucky with their servant.
The current sword that Richard has would allow Richard to use Excalibur at a pretty strong force but not strong enough to one shot Sakura which is unfortunate. He can't spam excalibur either which is one of the biggest downfalls.
Richard readies his sword, ready to use his noble phantasm Excalibur but suddenly he gets stopped by an enemy servant. It's clear that it's an enemy servant by the aura that this person is giving off. Though, this servant doesn't look to be that strong as it doesn't have a weapon or anything.
This enemy servant was hiding their face, but with how slim their body was it was pretty obvious that they were a female. They pointed at Richard, which made it so that Richard dropped his sword without even a thought. I was confused at what Richard was doing but then the servant pointed at me and I could understand why he dropped his sword.
This servant had an ability which allowed them to mind control us, and the mind control was strong enough that not even I could break out of it. The servant begins to speak in a female voice. It was a very slow but deep voice and I could actually understand her which was quite a surprise considering that she's hiding her face completely.
"You.. Kiritsugu.. The master.. Of Saber Richard.. Come with me… Meet my master.." She didn't force me to come with her mind control, but it seemed like a good idea to follow through and come meet her master.
This servant had quite an overwhelming flow of mana that even I couldn't grasp behind. It was clear that her master was stronger than I, which really brought down my self esteem but I can't forget that god is keeping a seat up there for me!
I must wait to capture Sakura Matou which really pisses me off as I really wanted her as my servant.
Yet again, I still don't even know if this servant and the master will be good allies. If anything, this servant could really betray me and kill me easily as it was proven that the servant easily overdid my own.
"I'll come with you to meet your master. There's no promise that I'll work with you two though."
"Why not..?" She asked in such a cute voice that I really couldn't give a proper answer to her. All I could think of is why their voice was so cute that it made my heart pound intensely. It was almost like my heart was pounding a million times a damn second!
"It depends on how nice of a master you have!"
"He's a strong master.. I can tell you his servant's true name.. I have his full permission.." She's speaking more without stuttering which was a nice change. It was more surprising that she told me that she could tell me her master's servant's true name. Wait, does that mean that she's not his servant? Or do they have two servants?
"Does that mean you're not his heroic servant?"
"No.. I am his heroic servant.. He just has four servants.." When she says that, it makes my jaw want to drop. How in the world does he have four servants? How strong are all his servants anyhow? It's almost like God also invited him to sit up there with him.. Anyways, it would be a good idea to ask their names right?
"What are his servants' names?"
"Gilgamesh.. Rin Tohsaka.. Angra Mainyu.. There's one last servant that I'm not sure their name.. I haven't met them either.. It's guaranteed that they're strong though.. All I know about them is that they're the son of the sun god.." When she says that, I know exactly who that last servant is, but I decide to keep my mouth shut instead the master doesn't want them to know the servant.
It's impressive that he even has two strong servants as it and he has the original avenger. What's weird about his servant list though, is Rin Tohsaka. This is exactly like Sakura Matou, how in the world is Rin a heroic spirit? Is Rin Tohsaka the servant in front of me or what? There's nobody else that it could be right?
"Are you-?" She cuts me off and nods her head. That confirms my question if she was Rin tohsaka but now it's a question of what class she is. The only idea I have is that she's a caster, but there's a chance that she can either be multiple classes or that she's a completely different class based on the spirit body that she's inhabiting.
It's clear that she's not using her own body as I probably would've recognized her right away if she was using her own body due to me having the memories of Kiritsugu Emiya the first.
I do wonder though, is having Angra Mainyu even really impressive? From what I remember, he's not that good at fighting and he's known as the weakest servant. There is a chance though that he's inhabiting a different body similar to Rin which would allow him to be stronger. If he was strong, that would make this master have four strong servants. Now what's up with that? Why is he even allowed to give enough mana to these servants?
Why is he even allowed to have four servants in the first place?! That's practically cheating! Rin looks at me, confused at what I was thinking about but I just shake my head and look at Richard and he nods his head signifying that he wants to meet this master as well.
"We want to meet your master."
"Great.. We'll be able to return to him in around three days.." I was perfectly okay with this of course, due to the fact of me being really curious on what this master is like. I mostly want to figure out if this master is evil or not, because I don't see the master of Sakura and I even being able to beat him even if we were teamed up. Having Gilgamesh, the son of the sun god, Angra Mainyu, which is still unknown if he's stronger than he used to be, and Rin Tohsaka as a servant is a huge threat to almost everybody.
Three days passed by, we got to the castle that Rin was taking us to. It was huge, huge enough that I couldn't even see the end of it in height or width. Richard showed little to no reaction, as it seemed like he's seen castles even bigger than this. That actually wouldn't be much of a surprise as he worked under King Arthur for the longest time.
As we enter the castle, I see even more servants than what was listed but it was clear to me that they weren't bound under any contract. The servants didn't seem that strong either, but it's hard for me to judge without knowing anything about them and they don't even have a master which is holding them back.
While I was looking around, somebody started to walk down the stairs that were right in front of us. The person was wearing a full black coat that looked to be for the winter. Their face also had red marks that looked like they were scars and when I got a closer look, it was clear that they were scars. Scars all over his face that were even at the top of his chest which from my perspective looked like an X but I couldn't see the full thing due to the coat.
The person that came to mind while looking at him is Angra Mainyu which I was right. As soon as he started talking, it was clear that he was a servant but he wasn't weak at all. This wasn't the Angra Mainyu that I got told about at all, he was strong. Very strong at that. It was weird that he was very strong, because like I said, in the tale he is a literal weakling and the weakest heroic spirit at that.
"I am.. Angra Mainyu.. An avenger type servant!" He begins to talk quietly and slowly but he slowly starts to talk fast and loud. As he is an avenger servant, it begins to make me think if he has bipolar or something along those lines.
"My name is Kiritsugu Emiya the second.. This is my saber class servant Richard."
"Kiritsugu Emiya the second?! Come on man I didn't want to meet one of him again!" He acts as if he knows who Kiritsugu is. From the memories that I have from the first Kiritsugu, I can't recall him ever meeting Angra Mainyu. It was weird, too weird in a matter of fact that I try to look farther and farther but I still can't see any memories of him and Angra meeting.
I decide to look past it though as I look at Angra Mainyu with a confused face. "Why does your master want to meet with me?"
"You wanted Sakura Matou as your servant, correct? As he can't give you Sakura, he can give you an even stronger servant as long as you agree with his contract!"
"Contract?" It really depends on what type of contract it is. If he tries to force me to give Richard away then I'll most likely decline it as I wouldn't want to give away a strong Saber.
Angra Mainyu looks confused, but the truth is that I literally never got given a contract. "You weren't told the contract by Rin? How weird." He sits down on one of the steps and begins to wait there as more people walk down.
There were three more males, one of them in a suit of armor which was clearly Gilgamesh. Then there's someone that I didn't expect, it was Liliph, who worked with the master of Sakura. What in the world is he even doing here? Shouldn't he be with Sakura's master?
The third person that's with them is the Heroic Spirit Karna which makes my theory correct on the servant that Rin didn't meet. I wasn't sure how strong Gilgamesh was, but it was clear that he wasn't his cocky self around his master. It was odd, did Liliph do something to Gilgamesh or was this a false Gilgamesh?
"It's nice to meet you again.. Kiritsugu the second.." Lilith was much calmer than he was when I first met him. It was almost as if this was a completely different person but as I look at his mana flow, it was the exact same as it was when I was at Sakura's master house.
"You may be wondering… How am I a master of four servants.. Let me explain myself. Liliph isn't my real name.. My real name is Fujimaru Ritsuka.. Well.. Not exactly.. My scenario is just like yours, I am Fujimaru Ritsuka the third instead of the second. I am the most corrupted version of Fujimaru and I'm also quite evil.. Now, I didn't call you here to kill you or anything.. Just like Angra told you, I'm here to make a contract to give you a strong servant."
I didn't expect him to tell me his real name. It's almost as if he doesn't expect me to betray him or anything? Though, it's not like I could betray him, he could easily kill me if I even tried. "It depends on the contract rules." I tell him. I was curious about the rules as if the rules did only benefit him then I'd not agree to them.
"There is a servant that I've been planning to make a contract with you see. His name is Senji Muramasa, he used to work on the Alien god a long time ago but for some odd reason he got transferred into this dimension and this castle in particular which is odd. As soon as I met him, me and him fought and of course I won as I'm still standing. He's an extremely strong servant but I'm stronger than him.. If you work under me, I will give you Senju Muramasa free of charge."
That's all? Seriously? If all I have to do is work under him, then that's almost doing nothing and getting a god! Not literally though, as I do know who Muramasa is I'm quite hesitant on even trying to form a contract with him. Though, he is another servant that could possibly outpower my Richard.
"So I'm allowed to keep Richard right?"
"Of course. You can also make use of any servant that is inhabited in this castle. We're going to need as much firepower as possible for the fight against Kiri and the master of Sakura Matou."
"Kiri? Who's Kiri?" I never heard the name Kiri before. He's also a new master I suppose as throughout the time I've been here, nobody has brought him up.
"He is the master of Assassin Emiya and Emiya Shirou, who is an archer. I would usually be able to take on Emiya Shirou alone, but he lived through all four timelines of one of the Fuyuki wars and has fought against Gilgamesh and won. He's also on par with Rin Tohsaka and I'm not sure how he would do against Karna and Angra Mainyu as I haven't even seen them in combat. It won't take long before Kiri becomes a strong mage indeed. It also won't take long for the master of Sakura Matou to catch on to my true mission which isn't to serve under him."
I still don't understand why he is doing this, but he must have his reasoning. It's also quite odd how nobody knows the name of Sakura's master! I do have many questions for him, but I would think it'd be better off to ask them later on or something.
"I do have one question for you. How many Emiya Shirou's are there? Muramasa is inhabiting Shirou's body, Shirou is inhabiting his own body, Angra Mainyu is inhabiting his body but an even stronger version. How many others?!"
"You just named all of them that I'm aware of. Also to answer a question you've been wondering ever since you saw Rin. She's inhabiting Hinako Akuta's body. Rin is a caster,lancer, and an Assassin all at once. I know, it's quite an odd thing but it's true!" I still am surprised that he's telling me all this.
I take time to think of what I want to do. I think it's for the best that I join him as if I do make enemies of him, it's literally just digging a grave telling him to kill me. "I accept the contract. I will work with you."
"Good good! Now look at your other hand, notice how the command seals are already there? You're going to have to go to a town that's the east of where we're currently at. Be warned though, Kiri is also in that town, meeting his servants. You may be wondering why you can't just call for Muramasa but it's due to the limitations of having to meet your servant before being able to let them teleport to you."
"Alright, I will go to the town to retrieve Muramasa. I'll be back once I get him." I can tell that Liliph is satisfied with my answer. It makes me happy that he is at least. He's stronger than me which ticks me off but I'll work with it at least. There's no way I can backstab him either as he's stronger than me by A LOT.
