Hello dear readers. How're you doing? Safe and Fine hopefully? ^_^
First of all, Eid Mubarak to all my Muslim friends and readers. May Allah keep us all safe and sound always ^_^
Thanks to Droplets of blue rain for reviewing the previous shot :D
Well, this wasn't coming anytime soon, but what to do? When the winds are swirling and storms are raging….it's a perfect time to clear your mind of everything else. That's what I believe at least *Winks* So yes, 'Writing+ Dancing+ Melodies' is a combination that's kept this Light "Bright-&-Burning" since ages. And that's what I need earnestly these days.
To anyone who doesn't know, Arianna Hiwatari is my OC from Diamond Heart. And this shot, as I had said earlier, is a snippet of one of its upcoming chapters :)
Hope you enjoy this as much as I did *Hearts*…
…..FADE IN THE RHYTHM….
Pairing: KaiXEveline
The party was going in full swing. Not the loud and irritating way; but peacefully. All the gathered guests were busy meeting and greeting others, occupying the round, elegantly decorated tables, or standing around the drinks counter. Soft music was resonating in the background. On the largest table, Tala, Julia, Ray, Mariah, Mariam, Max, Tyson, Arianna and Eveline were sitting in the mentioned order. Another empty chair was present beside Eva, the known occupant vanished into the unknown as of now.
They burst into fits and starts of laughter at the simple question of Julia, while Eva facepalmed; blushing still, she managed to speak, "Pardon? What did I just hear Julie?"
"A simple question Eva." Mariah popped. "When do you and Kai plan our cute little niece or nephew."
"I see." She answered with composed voice, as if contemplating deeply. "Maybe soon after we witness a Valkov junior and baby Mariah. What say? Seems fair enough to me." She retorted with a wink.
"Awww" the boys broke into laughter again.
"Low-blow Julie and Mari." Mariam laughed patting the pinkette's back with a fake condolence tone.
"Damn girl, and we thought you're sweet 24-7." Tala said on behalf of his wife. Ray too embraced his wife from the back, saving everyone's stares.
"Of course, my Gishi-chan is a sweetie-pie, Tala ni-san." Aria took the said brunette's side. "See how beautifully she's planned my birthday party."
"Honestly Eva, you've done a great job organizing this entire event." Max complimented.
"Thank you, Maxie, but Tyson deserves equal appreciation too."
"O yeah! Organizing the birthday party of your long-time girlfriend sure should be learnt from Tysie. Look he's still smitten." Ray pointed out. That was when everyone "Wow-ed"; bringing the dragoon-wielder out of his trance. Tyson flushed. Getting red-handedly caught while admiring your betrothed is not at all a good thing.
"Holy lord! You won't understand guys." He threw both hands up in surrendering manner. "How does it feel to propose your gf when her big-brother is showering daggers from his eyes." And a heavy sigh followed.
"But it's worth it, ain't it Granger?" Aria held his hand in hers.
"Sure, it is." He smiled heartily.
"And dare you hurt my sister, those daggers know piercing too." A stern voice was heard, as everyone turned in that direction.
"Give it a rest Kai." Eveline got up, extending a hand to her hubby. Holding it, the slate-haired guy made themselves sit. It wasn't unnoticed by the remaining gang, that Kai Hiwatari was a definitely changed person now. Though a little, but changed nonetheless. The reason? Currently sitting beside him, conversing 'bout some stuff.
"By the way Gishi-chan, hadn't you promised us something?" Aria nudged playfully. Her brother raised a brow, and she elaborated, "We were playing 'Truth-or-dare' sometime before. And she got the dare to play your favourite piano tune, in front of you. Though we all doubted she knows it or not."
"Seriously Kai, do you even listen to any music?" The red-headed Russian blurted. To which he got a deadly glare in return.
"Sorry Ari, I don't think I'd do it as beautifully as you all think." The brunette apologized.
"C'mon Eve. I know you play it perfectly." Kai encouraged, feeling deep inside that she knew it, somehow.
"And a dance with that will be just…" the whole group "Ooh-ed" as though they had gulped some spicy chillie powder, before Julia could even continue. "Yes. Exactly!" she affirmed at last.
"Lord!" covering half of her face with a palm, Eveline got up. Only to be pulled back by a strong tug. She turned back, only to find her wrist in his tight grip, hand extended, as their gazes met. "You know it?" He looked expectantly. After the France-trip, and even before that, she'd never failed to surprise him in some way or the other. Lost he was, when she gave the hold a jerk, securing her independence and vanishing somewhere in the hall.
Came closer,
Yet the distances never reduced.
Our story remained incomplete...
Not necessary for the earth to always,
Meet the sky…
True love is the one whose
Destination remains uncertain...
Not even five minutes had passed, when the lights went off; leaving behind only the burning perfumed candles. The orchestra stopped playing when spotlight landed on the figurine of a lady, seated on the piano chair, her fingers getting ready to play a melody. From her dark-maroon ankle length gown, to the bun secured by a classic bodkin….her identity was amply clear.
One by one, black and white, white and black; her fingers traversed through the piano keys, weaving a web of graceful rhapsody. She was playing The Promise with full concentration, not caring of anyone else. Her friends listened earnestly, as if caught in any trance. While her phoenix lord? Not long ago had he realised that he had been falling for her since day one; and now this. Was he….Was he Enchanted by her by any means?
Beat by beat, the rhythm was fading away, announcing the near-completion of the tunes. Kai got up. Walking straight towards her, having no control to where his feet were leading. Eveline had concluded her music by the time a hand was extended towards her. Recognising it within no moment, she accepted, standing finally. Zirconias collided with Amethysts, raising maelstroms in their owners' hearts. And they continued drowning into each other for moments to pass by.
Eva was clad in a dark maroon, ankle length, silk gown, closely hugging her torso, displaying the outline of her womanly curves, yet flowing freely downwards. High necked and half sleeved it was, with laced sleeves starting an inch above the cleavage to just on top of her elbows, while reaching the middle of her throat. The same laced fabric making the covering of her back, creamy complexioned skin peeping from it. Dark pink lips were covered with maroon lipstick. Coffee brown tresses arranged in a plump, round bun, secured by an oxidised, bodkin, in the shape of a tiny blossomed flower with tendrils wrapped around the staff; and frontal bangs rolled backwards. Tiny white flowers marked the entrance point of the pin into the lush hair.
Her deadly attire was perfectly complimented by the dark navy-blue tuxedo of her better-half. With a slate-grey bowtie, and black leather shoes, he was looking no less handsome than the king of Greek gods.
Kai took a step back, and she stepped forward, step-by-step landing on the dancefloor.
Randomly ran into your fragrances…
Walking side-by-side, see where we've reached...
If Heavens are here,
why can't I see you then...
The Moon and the Sun, everything is here...
Been waiting for you since Centuries..
Full of thirst, this story's awaiting Completion...
He extended his left hand, which was already holding hers. Clasping his finger as an axle, Eveline did pointe technique ballerina circles. Thanks to her maroon ballet pumps, they seemed flawless. Done rotating him, she came to a halt right at his front. Kai wrapped a hand around her waist, she held his shoulder blade, free hands clasped each-other, as they swayed in the music, slow dancing for a while. After a minute or two, standing side by side and facing the audience, they let the hold go lose. Thus Eveline circled herself a few times, being sent a little far, breaking the connection.
All this times, spotlights were fixed on the duo, but now, one of them shut, making the brunette the only centre of attention.
Bending her right leg back, Eve blew over the fist of her right palm, opening it at the same time, sending invisible sparkles in his direction. Body formed a perfect S, for solid 5-6 seconds, and lips curled into a gentle smile. She stretched an arm towards him, as if asking something; but put the free one on it, pulling the joined hands towards herself, head moving in negation. Pushing his imaginary figurine standing close to her, Eva turned around; letting her head bend down in shyness as fresh shades of pink made their way all across her cheeks.
Not long after that, the other spotlight glowed, displaying her phoenix-lord too. Keeping a hand on her shoulder, he let it slide down and distanced again. Eve leaned forward, then turned to face him abruptly. It looked as if Kai was saving her from falling down. Well, he had done that already, hadn't he?
The journey of this Thirst, will get over,
What seemed incomplete is about to be completed,
The sky has bowed,
Two worlds have met..
Everything is surrounded by the Aura of Trysts...
Palanquins are ready, Fragrances everywhere,
Even the Creator himself arrived to read it all...
With slow steps, they walked again. Eyes still affixed on each-other's. Seemed the viewers had vanished to nowhere for them. That's why, when her hands rested on his well built chest, she looked down, face red, despite being filled with amour. He lifted her chin, letting the emotions flow effortlessly.
Caressing her left shoulder with his right hand, Kai very swiftly turned his wife. She took a step back, leading to her collision with his ventral torso. Sending jolts of electricity down their spines. Nobody could comprehend, when his left hand that was resting on her shoulder until now, travelled up her hair and subtly pulled the bodkin out. The white flowers fell, surfing on the surface of the coffee brown cascade. Eveline gasped, inhaling sharply, she closed her eyes. The master of mighty Dranzer sure had his way with everything around.
With a jolt she left his hold, turning to face him. That made her waist length, lush, silky hair swirl, the flowers that had stuck earlier, now freely fell on the floor. The flames of pre-burning candles had now begun to flicker, ashamed of themselves, ready to die down soon. "How much does it please your heart to tease me this way?" her orbs seem to say.
"As much as it gives you pleasure." He replied with his eyes too. Unbeknownst to the knowledge of rest of the world, they were mastering the language of heart.
"I'll be the Sea to your Island." His masculine voice echoed her ears. "The Water to your Seas, my Lord." She retorted with as much affection, as vibrancy.
At what a turn had life finally brought our protagonists? Rising from the burdens of torrents of the past, they were now finally ready to sail the new sea of hopes….
And done dear peoples! Honestly, the prettiest one to write this was *Hides face* Hope you liked….I haven't given it a proper conclusion as the others, coz that's what it is like. I mean, a part of another fic, technically. And an endless sea, literally *Winks* Just so you know, Kai means the Sea; and Eveline means Water and an Island. Pretty well chosen names, right? *Blushes*
Would love to listen your thoughts in the reviews :D
If anyone doesn't know, 'The Promise' is a sweet-soothing piano composition by Michael Nyman. A friend of mine played it really well and it just became my favourite :D
And here goes my sweet little fic. The first multi-chap to be completed ever XD. Thanks to everyone who's been here till now. It really matters :)
Pardon grammatical errors.
Thanks for reading. Bye!
