Chapter 3
It's the day before Valentines day and there is a crowd in the flower shop. Viox is behind the counter checking out a customer while Violet is helping the customers find what they are looking for. The bell chimed indicating someone has entered the shop."Hello, welcome to the Hala flower shop I'll be with you in a moment." Violet said to the customer that walked in as she was sorting the roses. She looked up when she heard the scream, "IMPACT!". Violet's head turned as most of the group of people crowded around the four males that had been in the shop days ago, "Oh no no no!" She stomped over, "You all need to leave! You can't come into the shop and cause it to go crazy!" She said shoving through the crowd and standing in front of Childe, who blinked, "We just came by to visit!" He exclaimed as Violet glared. Zhongli looked around, "I have an idea, Mrs. Hala, if you would allow me to state it." He commented towards Violet, "Please...Violet, Mrs. Hala is mine and my sister's mother." She said calmly, which made Childe pouted, "You don't talk to me like that." He whined out as Violet glared, "He seems the most intelligent guy here besides the red haired male." She pointed at Zhongli and Diluc. Diluc smothered a laugh with a cough as Zhongli chuckled lightly. Childe sighed as he stood off to the side, "Anyways, you're idea?" Violet turned towards Zhongli, who cleared his throat, "If someone purchases a flower or bouquet, we will sign something of theirs." He said as Violet nodded, as the crowd went wild, "We need someone at the front with Viox, you guys go to the table over there, and stay there, this shop is starting to get more crowded." She said pointing at the table over by the front of the store, where a large window was, the band quickly headed there as more women and girls flooded the shop, Violet rushed over to Viox, who was busy wrapping and selling single roses and some flowers along with them. Violet headed to the cash register as she took the orders and helped wrap as the same time
Soon the crowd whittled down to a few fangirls left. Viox walked around the shop looking for the last of the baby's breath for the last few single roses. Her eyes searched as a small bundle appeared in front of her face, "These right?" Kaeya asked as Viox nodded, taking them from the popstar, as she rushed back to the counter. Slowly but surely, the shop had no more flowers, nor fangirls left. Viox sighed in relief as her finger felt sore, Violet rang up a older couple who had came into the store for Valentine's day, as she waved them goodbye, she turned and glared at the band, they had taken the time to lounge at the table they had been sitting at, now that everything had settled, they took the time to relax. Violet stomped over, only getting half way before Viox stopped her, "Violet, there's no need for a fight, they helped us sell every single flower in the shop." She said as Violet sighed, "Alright." She said as Viox smiled, "We should thank them." She said as she headed over to the table, Violet following close behind.
"I...I...I…" Viox stuttered out softly, as Violet smiled at her sibling, "It's alright Viox, I'll do it." She said as Viox nodded, Violet looked at the pop band, "Viox was trying to thank you all for helping us sell out." She explained as the band smiled, "Well glad to help." Childe said happily as he stood up, "Violet, right?" He asked as Violet nodded, "That's me." She said as Childe nodded, "Well the reason for this sudden visit was to see if you lovely ladies are coming to our Valentine's day concert tomorrow, there were two VIP tickets with the rose delivery." He explained as Violet crossed her arms, "We know...we planned to stay home." She said as Childe blinked. "Let me repeat myself, there was-" as Violet turned away and headed towards the counter, "Hey! I was talking!" Childe said as he walked next to her, Violet shrugged, "I know, I just don't care all that much." She said as they walked. Childe was flabbergasted by this. "Now if we could get you to leave...that's a different story." She said as she opened the cash register to count the money inside. Childe took offense to that, "That's not fair! You hardly know me, you can't sit here and be rude when I haven't done anything to you!" He said with a pout as Violet looked at him, "You came into MY family's flower shop, wreck it! And then-" her ears perked at the commotion by the front door, "Leave me alone!" Viox shouted at the blue haired popstar, who looked angry, "I just asked if you were into women! There's no need to attack me!" Kaeya yelled back, "Then don't ask stupid questions!" Viox fought back, "Then you are gay! Clearly! Since you've done nothing but ignore me!" Kaeya exclaimed pointing at Viox, who looked appalled, "No! I just don't talk to egotistical assholes!" She spat, glaring at Kaeya.
Childe leaned over at Violet, "Should she be?-" he started to say as Violet shushed him, placing a finger on his lips, "Sh! I'm busy beaming with pride right now." Violet said as she watched Viox hold her own against Kaeya.
"Well maybe you should send better signals!" Kaeya shouted as Viox crossed her arms, "Well maybe if you weren't such a playboy, I would be interested!" She snapped at him. Kaeya rose his eyebrows, "So you're interested in me?" He asked as Viox sighed, "You're an idiot!" She growled, walking away, her heels clicking harshly on the flooring as Kaeya flushed, his eyes watching Viox walk away, "Damn…" he said quietly.
Violet looked at Childe, "And that's called Character development." She said gleefully. Childe rolled his eyes, "You're weird." He commented as Violet punched him in the arm, "I'm not weird!" She shouted. He rubbed his arm "Ow, what was that for?" He asked, pouting slightly. Violet glared at him "You called me weird" she snapped crossing her arms. There was a look in her eyes that Childe couldn't place. He sighed, leaning against the counter, "Look, I'm sorry, but I've never met anyone who didn't immediately fan girl over us." he explained softly, causing Violet to roll her eyes at him. "Look, me and my sister…" she stopped talking trying to get the right words across. She sighed, pushing her bangs out of her face frowning, "...We don't like the attention and we really don't care whether someone is famous or not...we had a peaceful atmosphere before you showed up." she explained softly looking down at her hands before looking up at him. Childe opened his mouth to say something when the bell chimed again, a guy with his half black and half white hair walked up to the counter. He eyed Childe for a second before smiling at Violet, "Hey Rapunzel how are you doing?" The guy asked. "Hey Kane, I'm doing fine. How are you?" Violet asked Kane with a smile on her face, "I'm doing fantastic! And I see you guys are doing wonderful with the shop.", He said while looking around with his blue and brown eyes. Violet snorted "Yeah while this pop band walked in our shop and offered autographs with a purchase of every flower or bouquet that was bought." Violet said, pointing towards Childe who stood off to the side awkwardly. Kane nodded his head smiling looking around again, he frowned slightly when he didn't see Viox anywhere. "Where's Lovey?" He pouted, making Violet laugh." She's in the greenhouse, she stood up for herself." Violet said, smiling with pride. Kane raised an eyebrow smiling slightly, "Did she now? I got to hear this." He said leaning against the counter Violet just shook her head. "Go see her, I'm sure she's shaken up from it and I'm a little busy at the moment." Violet smirked, she always wanted to see them together but knew Viox didn't see Kane that way. Kane just snorted while walking towards the back. "So Rapunzel huh." Childe said in her ear chuckling a bit when he noticed the slight blush on her cheeks. She turned around, jabbing her fingers in his chest hard while glaring up at him. "No one is allowed to call me that besides Kane." She said sternly. Childe raised his hands in surrender laughing slightly. Violet leaned her back against the counter. Childe leaned against the counter trapping Violet against it. Violet leaned away, blushing some more. "You're cute when you blush." He whispered in her ear, causing her to squeak. She placed her hands on his chest trying to push him away but there was a part of her that didn't want to push him away. He sighed standing back up bruising some of Violet's hair behind her ear, "Come to the concert then we'll you and your sister alone." Childe said, shoving his hands in his pockets. "Okay." was all Violet side inching away from Childe, she wasn't used to someone showing her interest, she pushed everyone away since what happened in high school. Childe looked surprised before it morphed into a happy grin "You will not regret this!" he shouted as he ran towards the other members of his band. Violet just sighed before continuing to count the money.
"Lovey!" Kane called out as he entered the Greenhouse, he looked around before spotting the small woman sitting with her favorite lilies, the ones she had been growing for years. Kane chuckled as he walked over, "Viox." He said softly as the pink haired woman looked up, her green eyes were dull with an unreadable expression, Kane frowned at this, "Are you okay?" He asked her as she shrugged. Her eyes were red and puffy, Kane growled a little, "Who made you so upset?" He demanded as he cupped her face, Viox blinked, "Im not sure...I don't know his name." She said quietly. Kane brushed her hair from her face, seeing both of her green eyes warmed his heart, if she only knew that he was smitten with her. He sighed, "No name huh? That'll be difficult to find." He commented as Viox nodded, "I'm sorry." She whispered out, as Kane shook his head, "It's alright, no need to apologize, Viox." He pulled her into a hug, as she sniffled, "He's an asshole! Just a jerk! He's infuriating!" She spat all the emotions she was feeling. Kane chuckled, "You seem more angry than when you found out your rose bush died." Viox looked up at him, "That was a very emotional time!" She screeched loudly, as Kane pulled away to save his almost abused ears from the woman's voice. "Anyways Lovey...are you going to be okay?" He asked softly as they settled down, Viox shrugged, "I'm not...sure." she said softly. Kane nodded, he knew that meant Viox had a lot to think about, "I'm here if you need me." He whispered to her as she smiled a little, "Thank you." She whispered back.
