"Okay...we've arrived in Advance Town in the Future Universe. According to the reports, Invidia is...right there." Tails said pointing to the square where a figure sat on a large stone as people just looked at them with awe.
"Ah yes, that is her." Avaritia mused. "A word of warning: Invidia can be rather temperamental. It would be best to approach her with caution."
"Got it, I'll keep my trap shut." Emo said, motioning the zipping of his lips.
"Let's get going then." SE said as the group exited the ship and approached the figure, whose face was obscured by a mask.
"Wow...a good reminder of how people used to live in the past. Just sitting around doing nothing." one guy said as the people continued to stare at the figure.
"'Cuse us, pardon us, Hero Alliance stuff." Eddy said as the group made their way through the crowd.
"Can I help you with something, sir?" said a large man.
"We wish to see Invidia, it concerns someone named Superbia." Miriam said.
"Good luck getting her to speak to you. She hasn't moved from that spot in thousands of years." the man said.
"I think we can manage." Double D said before he stopped her.
"Yeah, you talking to her, that's not gonna work for me." he said.
"What do you mean?" Fuyuhiko asked.
"Well look at her. She's a prime tourist attraction and a reminder of ancient times...the 2000s." he said.
"She is not an object or a tourist attraction, she's a person." Miriam said.
"Yeah...your opinions matter to no one so...I'm just gonna ask you to go." he said.
"..." Miriam stayed silent as she looked to the ground.
"Okay...if that's how you wanna play it, we're going to take her from you." Hope said.
"You try and I'll get rough on you." he said.
"Please, you're just one guy." Indigo said.
"Oh I'm not the one who's gonna rip you a new one." he said before tossing a rock at the figure.
"Ow. Okay, who threw that?" the figure demanded.
"They did." he said pointing to the alliance.
The figure growled as her body started crackling with red electricity and started to shift, growing bigger, taller, and green.
"Oh dear…" Acedia noted.
"You gotta be kidding me!" Al said with widened whited out eyes in shock. "A Hulk?!"
"Not quite." Avaritia said. "You see, we Angels of Vice can draw on the powers of those who fight under our respective sin. If I recall, this power belongs to the Homunculus named Envy. This is their true form."
Soon, the transformation was complete, Indivia becoming a eight-legged creature with faces plastered onto its green skin, black hair draped over its reptilian face. The creature roared at the group and leaped at them.
(Cue- Blooming Villain- Persona 5 Strikers)
"Scatter!" Bardock yelled as the group jumped away from the impact zone, the crowd running away screaming.
"Son of a...why the heck would you let her roam free?" Jexi asked.
"Maybe we can still reason with her." Hope said. "Hey! Invidia! Are you still in there? Stop attacking us, we need your help with Superbia!"
"Superbia?! Why should I care about him?" the angel yelled through the faces on its skin.
"Because he and his armies are committing a genocide run across the entire Demon Universe right now!" Hope replied.
"I DON'T CARE!" she roared. "Just leave me alone!"
"Whoa!" Hope nearly avoided Invidia smashing her hand on the ground, squishing him. "Well, it was worth a shot, anyway."
"Talking won't work at the moment, it seems." Sir Sayian said, drawing his blade. "She must be subdued first!"
"Finally." Bakugo said unleashing some explosions against Invidia.
"Fire Dragon King's...Demolition Fist!" Natsu called out, laying a powerful punch against her that sent her crashing into a building. She dug herself out and roared at the group, leaping high once again in an attempt to crush them.
"No!" Miriam said. "Time Stone, Standstill!" she called, projecting a field that stopped time around Invidia.
"Nu! Take out her legs!" Adora said.
"Affirmative." Nu said getting under Invidia's body and brandishing her swords. She then sliced and diced all eight of her legs, incapacitating her movement a bit.
"YOU GODDAMN PIECES OF-!" Invidia yelled as she started to regenerate her legs before a lasso wrapped around her neck.
"Fear not, I have this." Avaritia assured as the lasso glowed. Within moments, Indivia returned to her original form. "We have 30 seconds to talk now."
"Well, what're we gonna say?!" ZS asked.
"Wait, I have an idea!" Scarlet stated before he cleared his throat. "Invidia! Ira's back!"
That comment stopped Invidia cold, before she slowly looked up at the group. "...Start talking."
(end song)
"It's like this. Ira has awakened inside the body of a friend of ours, and he was on a mission to personally stop Superbia's crusade to end all demonkind. We stopped him, and he asked us to stop Superbia ourselves. We can't do it alone, so we need your help, along with the other Vice Angels, to stop him." Hope said.
"Why should I come to Ira''s aid? It was that idiots fault for falling in love with a mortal anyway. If he didn't become too attached to that girl when she got killed, he wouldn't have rampaged and almost killed us all." Invidia said. "It was… it was all his fault."
"You don't sound so sure about that." Scarlet pointed out.
"Shut up!" Invidia snapped at him. "He shouldn't have gotten attached to her! Even if she hadn't died, it still would've ended badly! You know why?"
The angel of Envy then pulled something out from her pocket: a wedding ring.
"This is why!"
"Oh my god…" Hagakure said.
"You were in love with Ira?" Mermista asked.
"I...I...yes." Invidia sighed. "The ring wasn't mine. I… found it on his body after Superbia killed him. He had bought it for her. That bastard was going to leave us - leave me - for some… farm-slut! It's… it's not fair…"
"That's why you stayed in this one spot for so long, wasn't it?" Double D asked. "Loss combined with the anger of being rejected… it caused a depressive episode."
"A very bad one." Mari said.
"...Bullcrap." Emo said.
"Excuse me?" Invidia hissed.
"Bullcrap! So you didn't get the guy, I get it! Lots of people have been there." Emo said. "But I got a question for you: if you loved him so much, wouldn't you want him to be happy?"
Invidia stuttered, unable to answer the question at first. "W-Well, she was human! He would've outlived her any-"
"He would still love her regardless." Spade said.
"Seriously, we've seen tons of people who loved creatures of other races." Jexi said. "He's not the first."
"Lifespans mean almost nothing when it comes to love." Glimmer said.
"Nothing can overcome the power of love!" Marta said.
"Yeah, exactly!" Emo said. "It wouldn't matter! When she passed away from old age, he'd be sad, yeah, but he'd still love her! Her dying wouldn't have changed that! So, here's what I think: you can either get back on that rock and keep feeling sorry for yourself, or you can help Ira take Superbia down and maybe, just maybe, get a little closure. Well… what's it gonna be, angel?"
Invidia said nothing for a moment, before she stood up. "Let's go, before I change my mind."
"Like hell they will. You're my star tourist attraction." the guy said, coming out from behind a rock.
"Here's what I think, jackass!" Kagura said, kicking him where the sun doesn't shine.
"Ooh." he groaned as he fell over. "Second thought, who am I to stand in love's way?" he groaned.
"Let's just go." Jexi said as they hurried back to the ship.
"Simon, we've got Invidia and we're coming back to the Demon Universe, how's it looking over in Redgrave?" Hope communicated to Simon.
"Things have calmed down for now, the Vice Angel in charge had the crusaders retreat, we managed to evacuate the citizens as well." Simon said. "Now we're almost-" he said before the signal cut out.
"Simon?" Hope said. "Simon?"
"They must be starting to jam signals so the demons can't call for help." Tails said.
"Meaning we're now blind about what's going on there right now." Jexi said.
"Man, this ain't good." Eddy said. "Man, I wish Mark was here."
"Well, he's not." Bardock said. "We'll just have to put our faith in Ira and his 'help', whoever they are."
"Yeah… who is Ira going to for help?" ZS wondered.
Meanwhile…
Ira flew through the Lanes between Worlds, making his way to an unknown location.
"(There's no telling if they'll agree to help… but at this point, we have no other choice.)" Ira thought. "(Let's just hope they won't consider me a threat…)"
Ira then came to a stop, appearing in a space filled by a floating fortress surrounded by ships. Taking a deep breath, Ira approached the fortress, passing by one of the ships, it's name displayed on the side:
GFS Izanagi
