Bella

I walked into our rooms and I found my mind working hard. My mind was trying to get me nervous but my body was very relaxed.

"Why don't you go to the bedroom and get on one of my tee shirts or if you brought a sleep shirt with you. I need to have access to your inner thighs."

I blushed but I went into the bedroom. I liked his bedroom it was beautifully done and I like his taste in art.

I got out a sleep shirt and changed clothes quickly. I had a human moment in the bathroom then I went back to the living room.

I sat beside Demetri and put my head on his shoulder. "When Jane said you'd take care of me what did she mean?"

"The first year after the change is a wild time. It's hard to control your instincts, your blood lust, and adjust to your new senses. It typically takes a year to adjust. We'll take care of you during that time. I'll take care of you always."

"I think I'm starting to believe you."

"You should, but you don't know me well enough to know that yet. I have many faults but one thing I'm not is a liar. I despise people who lie to get what they want."

"Demetri, would you, um...would you kiss me."

"I would love to my darling."

He lowered his head and his lips met mine. I gasped at the feeling and he deepened the kiss. He was an amazing kisser and our tongues dueled. His mouth left my lips and moved to my neck. I didn't realize how incredibly sensitive my neck was. He ran his tongue down my throat to the neck of my shirt and back up.

He stopped too suddenly and I was confused but then he kissed my lips again. When he stopped my breath was coming fast and my breasts were tingly and I was tempted to ask for more. His eyes were soft and he picked me up in his arms and carried me into the bedroom.

"It's time love." He told me.

"I'm scared," I admitted.

"I know. I thought about just biting you while we were kissing but I decided you deserved better than that." He said. He laid me out on the bed and sat beside me. He clasped my hand in his and stroked my wrist.

"Kiss me again?"

"Ok but I'm not going to stop. Then I'm going to bite you."

"I know," I admitted but our lips met and suddenly I didn't care anymore. I threw myself into the kiss. When he moved to my neck I tensed but he just kissed and sucked and nibbled on my neck until I relaxed and my body started to respond strongly. I almost asked for more again but he bit. He drank and I started to feel cold. I wondered if he lost control but something changed. I got hotter and hotter soon I was burning alive.

Demetri

She was a delightful kisser, such an innocent. She was eager and I could feel she was stopping herself from asking for more. I wondered if she truly was an innocent and thought it likely. The beast in me roared in approval.

I kept in control and eventually when I bit her, her blood was ambrosia and it was hard to stop but reminding myself who she was made stopping easier. I filled her with as much venom as I could and then I closed the wound moving to her wrists then her thighs, then her ankles.

She cried out and I got on the bed beside her. I put my arms around her and took her hands in mine. I held her firmly. I began talking and she quieted. I reminded her of Renee, Charlie, not to trust the Cullens, Jacob Black, and the wolves. Then I told her about Victoria. I repeated the stories to her that she had shared with me. Then I reminded her of Felix, Alec, Jane, Chelsea, and Renita. I shared their stories and details about them.

By this time she was completely quiet except for almost silent whimpers and sighs. Her inner strength astounded me. I was in awe of her. I started from the beginning and told her everything all over again. I repeated myself over and over. I wondered if I would have lost my voice if I'd been human.

I kept talking and soon it was day two then day three. I got up when her heart started to stutter. I gave her some space. I expected her to attack me when she woke. All newborns woke confused by their new senses.

I stood braced and ready as her heart fell silent for the very last time. Her eyes flew open and she took a deep breath. She jumped up but didn't lunge at me. Her hands formed fists and relaxed. She blinked. And she looked at me. Then she lunged. She didn't attack she pounced on me, biting at the junction between my neck and shoulder. She purred once her teeth were in my neck. When she released me she jumped down and apologized.

"I'm so sorry Demetri I didn't mean to hurt you."

I purred and put my arms around her. "You just marked your mate, little one. There's nothing wrong with it."

"Are you really mine?"

"Yes, little one. For eternity."

She pounced again and kissed me deeply. I held her with her legs wrapped around my waist. I imagined how amazing it would feel if she was naked and wrapped around my waist. I wanted her desperately and I felt myself hardening. Bella was rubbing against me and unfortunately, she felt it too. She eeped and jumped down. I had to hold in my laughter.

"It's ok Bella."

"I.. you..." She said.

"Have you never felt a man get an erection before Bella?"

She lowered her eyes and shook her head.

I put my fingers under her chin and raised her eyes to meet mine. "I'm glad I get to teach you everything."

She kissed me and put her arms around my neck. I pulled her close to me.

"Let's get you fed little one."

She put her hand to her throat as if she hadn't noticed until now. I got her an outfit out of the closet and knelt down to help her with the yoga pants. We got them on quickly and then we changed her shirt. She was obviously very shy. It was cute but I got her ready and we headed out to get her fed.

Down in the feeding chamber, she lunged for the first man. She drank greedily and dropped him. She lunged for the second before they had realized what was going on. She drank the third almost as quickly. When she was finished her chest was rising and falling as if her breath was racing her tongue was stuck out a little bit. She was absolutely covered in blood. It was on her clothes, her face, her arms, and dripping out of her hair.

"How are you feeling Bella/"

"Better," she said simply.

"Do you want me to call Jane down here to help you shower or do you want me to do it?"

Her eyes met mine almost in a panic and she exclaimed "Call Jane!"

It was the answer I was expecting so I made the call and Jane was there one minute later. She guided Bella into the shower, moving very slowly with her.

I waited and not very long later Jane was back with a squeaky clean Bella in a sweatsuit. I walked over to her slowly.

"Thank you Jane." she nodded and left. "Are you ready to go greet the Masters, Bella?"

"What do we have to do?"

"There is Aro, Caius, and Marcus. We go say hi. Aro will touch your hand and try to read your mind, and then we leave."

"That's all?" Bella asked.

"Yes, that's all," I confirmed.

"Okay, let's go." She agreed easily.

We walked in a sort of fast-slow mode as she tried to regulate her walk. Eventually, we got to the throne room and I opened the doors and guided Bella in with my hand on her back.

Aro stood and walked to us too quickly and Bella lunged. I caught her and glared at Aro and read the situation correctly and stopped walking toward us. I guided her to him and he said, "Bella, you are a stunning immortal. Can I read you?" He held his hand out to her slowly. She looked at me and I nodded. She put her hand in his.

"I still can't read you, my dear. If I may Demetri?" Aro asked.

I put my hand in his and he sighed. "Simply magnificent."

"She is," I agreed.

"You have a beautiful mating bond. I see you've been marked, Demetri." Marcus said.

"I have," I smiled somewhat smugly. "Aro as you've seen, Bella is being stalked by a vampire named Victoria. Can we send someone out to take care of that? Alec possibly with one of our other trackers? She's around Forks Washington at last notice."

"Felix send him out immediately."

"Consider it done Masters," Felix interjected and left the throne room.

"Thank you for visiting young ones," Aro said.

We walked in Bella's fast slow shuffle step out of the throne room. I took Bella to the recreation room and we sat on the couch. I got some wine for me and asked Bella if she'd like some.

"Yes please," She said and looked away.

"What's wrong Bella," I asked.

"I feel so out of control Demetri. I don't know what's going on with me."

"You are a newborn, my love. That is all. It is very normal."

"Will you hold me?" Bella asked.

"Any time Bella. All you have to do is ask."

I put my arm around her and held her close to my side. I held her firmly. "Would you like to watch a movie?" I asked her.

"Can we?" She asked excitedly.

I laughed and picked out a movie for us. I sat back down and kissed her firmly. She gasped and her tongue begged for entrance. Her hands tentatively landed on my chest and she started rubbing. I purred for her and she touched me more firmly. I purred louder.

Eventually, we settled and watched the movie.
