Well, Hearts was right. This morning an attack happened where these mamano I've never seen before showed and completely destroyed our militia. These mamano with pink wings flew over us and dropped these eggs which broke and these egg slimes popped out and started to grab people. They were immune to bullets so people had to resort to fire. But they weren't the main problem, more like a distraction. These dragon-looking mamano with tentacles came out and start knocking soldiers out and destroying things, and these mamano with card symbols on them showed up and started taking out a bunch of soldiers. What was weird about them was that they were using spears, swords and bows, not the modernized weapons that the other mamano use.
From what I read there are different realms in their world or something, so maybe this one couldn't be modernized, or chose not to be modernized. I was in the tent grabbing the last of our things while the other aces were out trying to fight the mamano, and when I left the tent I was surrounded by the card ones. They were ready to fight me and I raised my gun thinking I was gonna kill for the first time when one of them stepped forward. She said something like "Looks like you were waiting for someone like me." I didn't know what she meant at first until I saw that the card number on her body was an ace of spades, and she was staring at the card on my helmet. I thought that I was fucked, but Max, that one guy from the lighthouse, showed up and saved my ass. He showed up and started shooting at them and during that, I grabbed my bag and ran off to find the other aces.
I don't know what happened to Max afterwards, but I hope he got out of there. When I was looking for the other aces I saw clubs getting his ass handed to by one of those card mamano. He was trying to knife fight it but he just kept on getting stabbed with her demon silver knife and he looked like he was getting more and more tired. I was about to shoot her when Hearts ran up and shot her dead. He grabbed Clubs and started moving him away, and while he was doing that a grenade went off nearby and some shrapnel hit him in the head. He had his helmet on, but it seemed to have really dazed and hurt him. We found Diamonds carrying the rest of our bags and we all took off into the woods. It seemed all that was left of our militia was also retreating into the woods, and it seemed to be about 30 other soldiers. They all got into smaller groups and took off in random directions into the nearby woods, and I don't know what happened to them.
Me and the other aces walked for a couple of hours until we reached this cabin which looked to be abandoned. It was this small 2 story cabin and looked like the ones that were around during the renaissance period. So I am a hundred percent sure that this isn't The Monster World, but I am sure that we are in some other monster realm of sorts, which hasn't been modernized, and has these mamano that are special to this world. I can't believe that this ace of spades on my helmet got the attention of a woman who might be a literal ace of spades. Clubs is passed out because of the demon silver, so after some sleep, he will probably be better. He also lost his rifle and pistol so Diamonds slipped his pistol into Clubs holster while he was sleeping. Diamonds is kinda bummed out that we couldn't save anyone else and that our militia is in shambles. And Hearts is kinda dazed from that shrapnel hitting him, but other than that, he's fine.
I talked with him about what we're gonna do, and he said that we need to find a way out of this world and back to our world. I asked him how we are gonna do that and he said he didn't know. We have a portable radio with us to communicate with other militia members but so far no one has picked up. As soon as we get out of this world, I'm gonna research this place and all of the mamano in it, just so I can explain and understand this shit. After a couple of hours of sitting and waiting Diamonds fell asleep in a room upstairs leaving me and Hearts the only ones awake sitting in the living room.
We sat in silence for some time before he started to talk to me. He told me that he was glad that I was trying my best to help out and he assured me that he and Clubs would be fine. He also said that if Diamonds or I was in trouble he would give his life to save us, no matter what trouble we're in. I asked him about his life and he said because of the way things are it doesn't matter. I kinda agree with him on that, I don't really talk with others about my life, or even try to acknowledge my old life because when I do it just makes me kinda depressed.
Sometime after talking to Hearts, we heard Diamonds call for us. We ran to the room he was in and he said he saw someone sneaking around outside. We all ran out and searched where he said he saw the person and didn't find anything. We went back inside and covered up the windows with some stuff we found around the house and I volunteered to be first watch as everyone slept. So here I am now, sitting in the dark in a living room of an abandoned cabin while my friends are sleeping, all while we are stuck in an unknown world with monster women who will knock us out and marry us. So I'd say that things could be better. Anyways, later.
