To say Megumin was ecstatic at getting to ride on a motorcycle with Kazuma was a massive understatement. To Megumin she both gets to look cool AND wrap her arms around Kazuma without it being weird? It was a win win scenario. So when they arrived at the parking lot Megumin was super excited to see Kazuma's motorcycle and started looking at it from every angle even findind a few words carved into the side saying "Storm Viper".

Kazuma(now dressed in a dark green biker jacket) simply told her to

"Stop trying to grope the bike and just hop on"

Megumin happily got on the motorcycle,but wasn't so happy when Kazuma was putting a spare helmet on her head(Kazuma told her to quit whining and how he isnt having her brains split on the road)and with the final preparations set Megumin held on tight to Kazuma(which he didn't mind) and they were off

Megumin being stuck in her own little world hadn't even realized that they had arrived at the cafe until Kazuma tried to get off his motorcycle and almost lifting her off the ground. They had went inside cafe and had placed their orders Kazuma ordered a simple black coffee with a croissant and Megumin had ordered a hot chocolate and wanted to get a chocolate muffin since she had skipped out on lunch due to budget reasons before reminding herself that she was on a tight budget and just getting the hot chocolate.

Kazuma at first tried to pay for the coffee only to be stopped by Megumin saying that it would be a smear on her honour if she made Kazuma pay for the date she invited him on. He just rolled his eyes at that statement especially when he say Megumin dig through her wallet and count out the dollars and loose change she had,but regardless still thanked her for paying.

When the two went to go sit down near a window Megumin felt a spike of nervousness in her stomach and thought

"Wait...shit what should we talk about books? no that's stupid he's probably tired about hearing them all the time what ab-"

Megumin's thoughts were cut off by Kazuma's morbid attempt to break the ice

"So did you know that necrophilia is legal in Arizona, Georgia, Hawaii, and Rhode Island? I found that quite interesting"

"...Kazuma what the fuck"

"Sorry,but it's a interesting icebreaker right?"

Well he was right now Megumin was thinking if Kazuma was mentally stable or why in God's name does he know that and most importantly how to change subject. She had then decided to ask Kazuma about what he liked to do(besides reading obviously) and Kazuma tought about it for a few seconds and said

"Gaming"

"Oh cool what kind?"

"Uhhh I used to be really into MMO's back in highschool ,but then I got bored of them and realized how time consuming they are so I've been playing alot of single player games recently"

Megumin then decided that she wanted to ask one more thing she was curious about

"Hey Kazuma?"

"Yeah?"

"What's up with your glasses why do they have a butterfly pattern on the arms?"

"Oh like them? they're custom made they cost me nearly a fortune,but they look great so it was worth it"

"...can I see them?"

Kazuma without another word takes off his glasses and hands them over to Megumin. Upon closer inspection Megumin could see that the glasses had a unique purple and red butterfly style pattern on the both arms of the glasses they looked so damn cool(in her opinion).Trying them on though...well that was another story because the moment she did she sas almost instantly nauseated by the distorted vision and handed them back to Kazuma almost immediately afterwards.

That was the moment she caught a glimpse of his face without his glasses and damn was it a beauty to see his green eyes shone even more and Megumin could feel herself staring hard fortunately for her their order name was called out before she looked like a creep and so she left to get them.

Kazuma helped her set down the drinks and croissant when she came back and after smelling and blowing on his coffee a couple of times, he proceeded to chug the entire thing in seconds shocking Megumin before putting his hand on his mouthafter he finished as if shocked by his own lack of manners.

"Sorry I just really like coffee"

Kazuma said while now slowly beginning to eat his croissant Megumin told him it was fine(and she found it kind of cute) and just drank her hot chocolate as well. Kazuma noticing that Megumin had nothing to eat asked if she was okay. Megumin of course insisted that she's fine and she had a big lunch...this cover up was then ruined by her stomache letting out a monstrous growl at the though of food.

Megumin then came clean and said that she had skipped lunch and when asked why by Kazuma one thing led to another and she told Kazuma that her family was poor and that she wanted to save enough money to take him out on this date. Kazuma sighed and gave Megumin a pitiful look before getting up.

Megumin panicked thinking he was leaving ,but to her suprise she saw Kazuma buying and he came back with two chocolate muffins for Megumin. Completely shocked Megumin could say nothing else except thanking him before digging in at lightning speed. Kazuma then said

"Look if you're struggling financially I'll pay for everything otherwise I'll just feel guilty taking advantage of a kid like you"

"Hmfmfmff"

"Please dont speak with your mouth full"

"I said thanks,but you dont have to worry about taking advantage of me or anything Im not exactly a kid and Im the one who invited you out on this date so I should be the one to pay...,but on the other hand if you want to treat me feel free to do so"

Kazuma let out a small laugh and said

"Fine then do you want to head to McDonald's? it's not exactly healthy, but your parents are probably worried sick at this point and my kids have been blowing my phone up to get them a big mac so...what do you say?"

"Sounds great Kazuma"

After the two of them had left the McDonald's without much incident(well besides Megumin eating like a ravenous wolf and asking Kazuma to buy some for her family as well) Kazuma was giving Megumin a ride back to her apartment and as they got off and Megumin her stuff Kazuma took of his helmet and approached Megumin

"I just wanted to let you know I had a great time tonight"

"Thanks...dont suppose you wanna do this again some time?"

"Hmmmm how's this for an answer?"

Before Megumin can react Kazuma plants a small kiss on her forehead leaving her stunned as he gets back onto his motorcycle. Kazuma before he leaves decides he should give Megumin a nickname of her own since she decided to give him one and so before he leaves he say out to a still stunned Megumin before driving off.

"I'll see you soon...Cheshire"
