Redid the chapter so that it makes more sense.

After meditating and eating, Blake was now ready to go into town. Placing one of the pelts of the wolf on his back, he began his trek to the town

"In Razor's memory he walked three hours west from the bottom of the mountain" Blake muttered. After an hour he found himself in the same area where he had killed the wolves. The more he walked west the more scents he was picking up. Which meant civilization was close.

Some time later

The town was right in the clearing ahead. As he poked his head out from behind the tree he noticed something.

'This is like any other human town… albeit a small one. This is more of a village.'

There was a main road through the middle with shops and houses scattered throughout with no rhyme or reason. He could see a train depot at the back of the town.

'There it is, my way out' Blake thought with relief. But it would probably cost money. Even if he did have money he still had no idea where to go. As he walked through the town, trying to find a shop to take his pelt, he noticed that everyone was looking at him and his ears picked up the whispers perfectly.

'That's a direwolf pelt'

'He looks like a prince'

'He must be strong'

His face immediately turned red, not used to the attention. As he walked past a group of people he saw a sign for a general goods store. Nodding his head in success he quickly walked into the shop. As soon as he entered he heard a bell ring and heard someone say

"Welcome to Demetris General Goods. Is there something I can help you to find?"It came from a middle aged woman who saw him and immediately gasped.

"Eh?" Blake let out a confused sound at her gasp.

"Is that a Dire Wolf pelt?"

'Uh oh, didn't think it would draw this much attention.'

"Yes, just killed it the other day" She looked even more shocked.

After a few moments of silence, she finally opened her mouth to speak.

"I'm guessing you wish to sell it?" Blake nods his head with a small smile.

"I'm new around here, and I'm not sure how much they go for. Any help would be appreciated."

"Well they usually go for a lot, seeing as their pelts are infused with high tier defense magic. The fact you took one down shows your strength. How did you do it?"

"I caught it in a trap" Blake quickly said, trying to downplay the act, along with hiding his strength. She didn't seem to buy it but she went ahead and said.

"I can give you 100 Lucifros."

He nods his head hesitantly, not sure if he got scammed or not. Blake takes the soft black pelt and lays it on the counter and noticed that she immediately ran her fingers through it.

"Are killing these not common?"

"You'd be lucky to just survive, even for devils they are tricky opponents. Magic is basically useless against them… They also travel in packs."

'Did my magic bypass their immunity then? Something to test to be sure. Such a thing would be a huge boon.' Blake thought with a smile.

"It's beautiful out here Buchou!" Akeno Himejima gushed as she saw the beautiful snowy landscape.

"Indeed, the Sitri Mountains has always been the go to place for a snowy vacation." Rias Gremory added back with a smile. Rias's face turned serious.

"Remember, we are looking for the Stray Devil Razor… And there's also the wildlife issue..." Akeno looked at her King with curiosity.

"The wildlife?"

"The town is surrounded by the snowy forest, allowing beasts to take up position. The fiercest are giant wolves called Dire Wolves." Rias stated.

"Are they powerful?" Akeno questioned.

Rias nodded her head seriously.

"They make quick work of middle class devils and have a sharp mind… I wouldn't worry though, they are very rarely seen in town."

"It seems that we have arrived." Rias said with a smile as the train came to a stop.

Blake left the shop with a smile and a spring in his step. He then saw a bakery and with an excited look he stepped into the shop.

"Welcome to Lily's Bakery, you're in luck, we just made some fresh bread." An old man said with a smile, as the bell on the door rang. Blake looked around the store and saw that it was a nice little shop, with all sorts of bread and cakes. As he was looking around he spotted something as he glanced out the window. Long red hair and a smile on her face. Blake's heart dropped at the sight of Rias and Akeno.

"Uh oh." Blake muttered out loud.

'What are they doing here? It had to be Rias herself… I have a bad feeling about this." Blake quickly used his nose and they smell rotten. Not as rotten as the stray devil, but still pretty bad.

'Wait a minute… They're probably looking for the stray devil… Whom I ate.'

As he was thinking that, Blake accidentally made eye contact with Rias. Quickly looking away he started to eat some bread, trying not to freak out. As the scent of them got further and further away a smell came in from the distance. Wolves. And a lot of them.

'What are the chances that the wolves actually knew who I was and wanted revenge?' Blake thought as he broke out in a cold sweat.

"Better follow them"

As he left the shop he noticed that they were nowhere in sight. Thankfully, his nose was on a whole other level, and he quickly picked up the scent. The wolf scent got even stronger as he left to the outskirts of town.

"They said that the devil was last seen traveling out east from the town, after killing one of the villagers." Akeno said out loud, going over the information they have.

"Meaning his lair is somewhere out here, In the mountains" Rias replied with a sigh.

"Well, at least we have a lead," Akeno said with optimism. As they made their way deeper in the forest they heard a loud howl coming from even further in the dense forest.

They both looked at each other with surprise.

"It seems we've attracted the Dire Wolves attention, get ready for a tough fight." Rias said softly. Akeno nodded. As they broke through the clearing they immediately saw the source of the howl. A wolf the size of a small house was waiting in front of them, with a large pack of smaller ones around the huge beast. Before either could react the large wolf stepped forward a bit and let out a growl.

"Are you the ones that killed my kin in cold blood" The wolf spat out.

With sweat down their faces Rias quickly replied

"No! We are looking for a stray devil, we have no reason to fight."

"I believe you, the one I'm looking for has energy more sinister than any of you devils. He must be in town then, his lair is empty with the dead corpses of my sons."

Before they could say anything else the wolf sniffed the air and let out a roar.

'It approaches!'

Both of the girls quickly turned around and looked surprised at the young man that came into the clearing. Realization dawned on Rias as she knew something was off about the man in the bakery.

"I'm guessing you're looking for me?" The man said coldly.

Gears turned in Rias's head. Maybe she could turn this into a win.

"You dare stand before me!"

'This is beyond bad.' The smell of wolves was overpowering his senses. And they are in the direction of the wolves. As Blake walked into the clearing he saw what the cause of this was. A huge wolf, 10 times the size of the rest, is in front of Rias and Akeno. Blake didn't feel fear or anything really. Just determination to live past this day.

'Fighting all of them is impossible.'

"You dare stand before me!"

A plan forms in Blake's head.

'Maybe I will only have to fight one of them.'

"I'm guessing you're looking for me?" I say calmly.

"The time for words is over!"

Blake raised his hand and said

"I challenge you to a battle."

Everyone looked shocked.

The wolf growled before saying

"Your smart, wicked creature, using my pride against me… Younglings, stand back!"

The wolf then turned to face Blake, and got into a pouncing position, Blake formed an Ice Arrow and shot it out at ridiculous speed, lodging it in the wolves chest.

"What trickery is this, foul magic doesn't work against me!?"

'That confirms it, my magic bypasses barriers and other magic. Maybe I do stand a chance.' The wolf was on him in an instant, ready to bite Blake's head off. At the last moment Blake jumps back, narrowly dodging the bite. As he jumps he forms an enormous amount of smaller, needle-like icicles and sends them flying at the beast. All of them hit its mark, causing a groan from the wolf.

'Death by a thousand stings.' Blake thought as he formulated his next action. The battle went on, back and forth, Blake dodging and the wolf taking hits. After a couple of minutes Blake could tell that the Wolf was slowing down. But Blake was too, all the magic draining him. The more he fought back, the more he could tell he was losing control.

"You fiend! Such a cowardly way to fight."

The wolf then swipes Blake mid bite with his massive paws, taking Blake off guard. Blake then gets pinned to the ground, stunned.

"I've got you now, little creature."

Black veins were showing itself across Blake's body, slithering it's way up to his face.

Blake then let out a shriek before biting the wolf's paw.

The wolf's paw slowly had ice building on it. The ice was making its way up the paw and onto the wolf's body..

"Arghhh you fool! Should've known you would use poison. To think a bite would be this dangerous… What…" The wolf let out a howl as its body turned to ice. Blake said nothing, lost in bloodlust and the delicious taste of the wolf.

Rias and Akeno could only look at the fight with grim awe.

"His bite… It all makes sense. And the way he's eating the wolf raw…"

"What do you mean Buchou?"

"That young man is a wendigo."

"A High Class Monster capable of many things, but devouring opponents to add to its strength is the main motivation to the monster, along with satisfying its hunger."

"He looks like a normal human, and gives off no aura." Akeno says in surprise.

"They are capable Shapeshifters…" Rias adds, captivated.

"He's lost control. Watch out, Rias!" Before they could say anything else the monster was inches from Rias's face, before it froze.

"Noooooo" The wendigo grabbed its head with his hands and started thrashing on the ground.

Both of them backed up in shock, before it dawned on Rias.

"It seems he doesn't want to hurt us…"

Rias then pulled out a Black Bishop chess piece as the monster lost consciousness.

"Are you sure about this, Rias?"

"Positive, I need to take risks if it means getting away from that man.

"You live for me now, Wendigo"

Thats all. Still not sure of the pairing
