A/N: Hi everyone! Hopefully, I will stop taking forever to update this story, sorry. If anyone has any thoughts on the story, I would love to hear them! Also, in the last few chapters, I kind of forgot to tell you that Bea's full name is Dahlia Beatrice Barnes, not Bea Barnes. Sorry, if you deem that useless information but just thought I'd just put it out there. I forgot to include disclaimers the past few chapters so here is one: I do not own Marvel. I only own the OCs in this story. Hope you enjoy this chapter!
All the Avengers gathered around both Loki and Loria, asking them question after question about why they were here, or what Asgard was like. It was as if they were trying to drown the Asgardians in questions. Everyone was so tied up with the fact that Loki was in Avengers Tower no one saw Bea stand up and walk, with her head down, towards the kitchen, well, apart from Loria who was starting to find this questioning slightly tedious, and she still had some unanswered questions of her own.
"Hey," the ex-Hydra assassin said dejectedly without even turning around to acknowledge Loria. The young goddess jumped not knowing that Bea realised she was being followed, the 19-year-old turned to face her, "Ex-assassin and all, gotta know what's behind me." A shadow of a smile appeared on her lips; her cheeks still tear-stained from crying.
Loria returned the smile, "I'm really sorry to bother you Lady Dahlia-"
"Bea." She said without meeting Loria's eyes, "Please."
"Bea, I was just wondering when you were on the phone, you said 'Papa'. I was wondering if you were talking to your father, if so, as I don't know your last name, I was wondering who it was, you also said that he has been missing in action for a whole week. Is he okay?"
"My last name is Barnes; my father is James Buchanan Barnes. As in the ex-assassin the Winter Soldier. Yeah, you are right he has been missing for a week, I don't know if he's okay, or for that matter of fact where he currently is, later I will most likely call him and have a conversation with him." Another faint smile appeared.
"Цветок?" Pietro appeared in the kitchen a worried look evident on his face.
"Mmmm." Bea said from her place on the kitchen counter, waiting for her coffee that she came in for in the first place. "You know, after 5 years of dating me, the only thing you ever say to me in Russian is Цветок," She blushed then continued, "Though, I can't lie, I do like it when you call me your flower."
Pietro blushed and gave Bea a small smile and turned to Loria,
"Hi," He said, "You probably already know this, but my name is Pietro."
"Hi." Loria smiled.
Pietro once again turned to his girlfriend, "Any news on your father?" He visibly winced when Bea turned away and started to gently shake, "Sorry Цветок, I didn't mean to." Bea perked up almost as if she realised something and immediately said:
"What if we could track the vibranium in his arm, then we could find him." Her smile grew in size "Hey Piet, remind me to talk to Stark or Banner later after they are done with reindeer games, now, I'm gonna find Clint or Nat and head to the shooting range. See you in a minute."
With that the young adult turned to Pietro kissed him gently on the cheek and left the kitchen with her cup of coffee in hand.
"Shooting range?"
"Yeah," he said, "You wanna come with me to watch? Bea is an excellent shot."
"Um, sure." The goddess said then smiled at the young Avenger.
Together they walked through shared living room while the Avengers still questioned Loki. Loria noticed that both Natasha and Clint were missing from the group and managed to get to the elevator with Pietro without being stopped which was strange since Loria could still technically be found to be hostile. When the pair entered the elevator FRIDAY'S voice came through the ceiling asking them where they wanted to go,
"The shooting range please FRIDAY." As soon as Pietro said those words the elevator moved towards the floor of choice.
When the elevator stopped a ding rang out and the doors slowly slid open, and they were greeted with the sight of Clint with a quiver full of arrows on his back shooting at targets and both Nat and Bea shooting at targets with twin guns simultaneously.
"Hi Pietro, Loria." Natasha said concentrating on hitting the targets in the centre, "What brings you both down here?"
"Pietro said that Bea was an excellent shot, so I wanted to see for myself." Loria replied.
At the comment Bea blushed and said "Thanks, though I had to be if I wanted to survive and kill the targets I was asked to kill." Loria frowned and Bea noticed so continued, "Ex Hydra assassin."
Loria's mouth formed an 'O' and silently watched all three Avengers shoot the centre every time. Loria and Pietro watched for what felt like hours until the elevator dinged and out stepped Tony. He slowly scanned the room until he found Loria.
"Mini Asgardian, your Uncle just arrived, he wants to speak to you and your dad."
Loria looked at him and raised an eyebrow at the nickname Stark had given her. The goddess turned to Clint, Natasha, Bea and Pietro and gave them all a small smile then left with Tony but Pietro called out to her.
"See you soon маленькая богиня."
Bea raised an eyebrow at him almost as if she were asking 'Have you been taking secret Russian lessons without me?'
Pietro replied without actually speaking with yet another raised eyebrow saying, 'How else would I know how to say 'Little Goddess in Russian'.' Natasha raised her hand, a guilty expression on her face.
For a minute it only looked as if Bea was feeling hurt, well that was until she jumped onto Natasha and both Clint and Pietro had to try to stop the two women from ripping each other to shreds.
Tony took this as his cue to leave with Loria but not before asking F.R.I.D.A.Y to record the fight between the two.
A/N: Hello everyone. I'm so sorry for not updating in about three months. I just had a lot on my plate along with the co-written fanfic with lunaeclipse1205. Again, so sorry for not updating! The translation of маленькая богиня is obviously little goddess as it is mentioned a couple of seconds later. Thanks for reading this! Oh, and please, please, please review this, I've never been sure how others view my writing so I would love to know how I can improve it! Thanks again. ~A Notebook in a Novel P.S: As you can see, I have changed my username, I also now have an account on Fiction Press called A Novel in a Notebook so yeah. Bye.
