Marinette woke up the next morning due to thunder in the sky, lighting flashing and rain falling to the ground which matched her mood perfectly. She decided to put those thoughts out of her head for awhile and try enjoying the day with her friends at school. She looked at the clock. 2am. Great. Thanks a lot nightmare for keeping me up, but that is my fault.
She sighed and shook her head before trying to go back to sleep, but it was difficult. Eventually, she shut down and was late for school by an hour. It wasn't raining anymore.
"Tikki?" She asked looking for her kwami before quickly getting dressed and grabbing her stuff.
"You okay?"
"Yeah. Just my thoughts keeping me up again."
"Cat Blanc again?" The little kwami asked, looking at her owner.
"Unfortunately, yes." She sighed.
"What exactly happened other than Cat Noir obviously getting akumatized?"
"Not right now, Tikki." She said before the little red kwami flew into her bag and the teen went downstairs, running out the door.
She ran to school and barely made it by seconds. "Girl, you okay?" Alya asked.
"Yeah. I'm fine. Just late night studying." She replied. More like nightmares of the same person in the same alternate reality over and over again, she thought bitterly and sighed. Class started and she was kind of distracted. Before she knew it, school ended. She and the others met outside on the stairs. "Wanna hangout later?" Alya asked as she smirked at Adrien and Marientte.
"Of course." The Bluenette replied, smiling. "I'm free too." Adrien said, standing next to her.
"I'm just going to drop off my stuff first." She said before leaving as Luka caught up with her. "Hey, I was wondering if you would like to go to the park or something? Whenever you want to. I don't mind." He smiled at her.
"Sure. Just text me, when you want." She returned it. "See you later." Luke nodded.
Marinette went home and dropped off her backpack in her room before she started writing her theories on a piece of paper.
Hawkmoth.
Underneath it she wrote, Always ready to akumatize someone. Has one of the two miraculous that is missing.
She shook her head, not wanting to think about it nor Cat Blanc anymore, especially the latter.
She went to the Andre's for ice cream to hangout with her three friends.
Alya and Nino got their ice cream while Andre smiled at Marientte and Adrien.
"Peach pink like his lips and mint like his eyes!" He handed it to her before he got Adrien's.
"Strawberry with black chocolate chip! Blackberries for her hair, and blueberry ice-cream just like her sky blue stare!" Andre smirked at the two of them as he handed Adrien some of it as well.
"Thanks." Both of them replied.
Alya and Nino were smirking as Marinette rolled her eyes.
They all sat down on the stairs and ate their Ice cream, sitting on a bench at the park. Marinette heard music and knowing it was Luka, walked over to him since she was done.
"You okay?" He asked, siting on a different bench away from her friends. She nodded and sat down next to him. "Feeling like this?" He asked, playing his music which described her mood perfectly. It was always beautiful.
"I guess I'm still conflicted and don't know what to do."
"Wanna talk about it?"
"I'm not even sure I can explain it to anyone else, let alone myself." She frowned.
He nodded. "Try me."
"I feel like I'm in a maze and every time I turn around, I get more lost."
"Unfortunately, that's how feelings work. Trapped without understanding them sometimes and being conflicted at other moments while trying to figure out how to deal with them." She nodded, agreeing with him.
"Yeah, like that." She shook her head.
"I'm sure you'll figure it out, Marinette." He smiled, looking at her.
"Thanks." They both sat there for awhile, talking about anything and everything while he continued playing music. "What are you doing out here?"
"Enjoying the view." He replied, looking ahead of him before he turned to her. "I decided I would get some fresh air."
Eventually, she went back to the others after he left.
"You ditched us." Alya said, teasing her best friend.
"Sorry." She smiled, feeling better.
"I see you two are getting close." She smirked, as Marinette blushed. "Yeah. Anyways, I better get home, so I'll see you later."
"Bye." All three of them replied. She left.
Nino looked at Adrien. "Dude, you okay?"
"Of course, why wouldn't I be?" He asked.
The DJ shrugged and soon they all went home.
"Tikki, it was amazing. Luka really understands me." Marinette replied, smiling, laying down on her bed.
"What about Adrien?" The red ladybug kwami asked.
"Nothing's changed with him." Marinette looked at her friend before she worked on some designs since she felt inspired for some reason.
Soon, it was almost time for patrolling. She transformed into Ladybug and left a little early. She went to the Eiffel Tower and sat down, still remembering it getting destroyed and landed on its side while Paris was under water.
Her heart ached at the thought, but she shook her head since she wanted to forget about it all together. It was impossible since those cold icy emotionless blue eyes kept on haunting her thoughts 24/7. She was tired and just wanted the nightmares to stop.
"Hey, Bugaboo." Cat Noir said from behind her.
"What's up?" She asked, not trusting herself to look at him, even though she knows he hasn't changed at all.
"I didn't have anything better to do-not like anything can ever compare to this-so I decided why not come by earlier than usual." He smiled and she looked at him. Instantly, she saw his akumatized form and her heart almost stopped before he disappeared. She looked away.
"I agree." She replied before thinking, anything is better than this right now.
"You okay, Milady?" He asked, concerned.
"Our love did this to the world, Milady." Blanc repeated in her head. "Looking for my akuma, milady?" Hearing his white counterpart say it in her head sent a chill down her spine.
She nodded, keeping her eyes ahead of her, looking for any akumas when it was the last thing she wanted to do right now. Her eyes looked around almost as if she expected someone to jump out in front of her and try to destroy her.
"Yeah. Just tired, but other than that I'm fine." She replied as he held her hand while she was tempted to pull away, but didn't. Technically, it wasn't a lie at all since her nightmares have been keeping her up. She didn't tell him anything about it since that alternate reality never existed anymore.
Ladybug noticed an akuma flying towards them. She pushed Cat out of the way and they both fell to the ground before she de-evilized it with her yo-yo. "Bye bye little butterfly." She replied as it flew away, back to normal. Her eyes were focused on the white butterfly until it was gone. She shook her head and sat back down.
"Are you okay?" Cat asked, sitting next to her.
"Yeah. You?" She looked at him. He nodded. "I don't think an akuma will make an appearance tonight."
Just as he said that, people ran screaming.
"Great." They replied together before using their yo-yo and baton.
They quickly found out what was going on and who it was. Someone named Artist was turning everyone into her own designs that was rejected.
"Cat Noir, the akuma is in her pencil." Ladybug replied, running on the opposite side to get the akuma while he distracted her.
"I bet you can't catch me because you're dull." Kitty smirked before running away since the pencil had the power to turn everyone into a drawing from a distance.
"Looks like you are sharp and on point." He replied after the akumatized person turned someone else into a design drawn onto a paper.
"Lucky Charm." The spotted heroine called out. A plastic and small pencil sharpener appeared.
"I will and then your miraculous will be mine." She smirked, going after him. Ladybug used her yo-yo to get the pencil and sharpened it. An akuma flew out and she turned it back to normal.
"Miraculous Ladybug!" She threw the lucky charm into the air and everything was restored.
My first akuma fight. Sorry if it sucked. Any suggestions for chapter 4?
