NOTES: I figured I'd get this chapter out the way. Also, this story is now M-Rated. Who's surprised, eh?
WARNING: This chapter will contain very strong language and violence.
Fink's Past: Part 3
FOUR YEARS LATER
Aged 11.
It did take a while for Fink to get used to her empty surroundings but soon enough the spirited little evil rat made Venomous slash Boxman's factory hers. The system was strange…even though the factory, offices and other rooms were updated with the latest technology, the heating system was based on steam…and usually she'd have to crank up the boilers and fire pits to warm the place up…in a way she didn't mind, it was something to do and because the place was massive, it gave her an incentive to check around the premises.
Of course, by now, she made Venomous bedroom into hers…she kept her glorbs in a big jar next to her bed and if any of their power drained, she would regenerate them in a big capsule, which was modified from her glorb backpack, which she did herself.
If there was one thing she learnt being on her own, it was self-independence and mechanics. She even thought about mending and fixing the bodies of Shannon and Darrell…but then she remembered the hatred she had of them and decided to put it off…sure, she had some moments with Darrell but not enough to bring him back…Besides, somewhere out in that world, they are technically still alive, since Boxman moved away somewhere and he always took his robot children wherever he went. Fink was surprised that Boxman didn't bother coming back after all these years…but the little rat figured it wasn't plausible since the weird chicken man's love of his life died near there.
Yes, sometimes Fink would think about Venomous…but time is the greatest healer…so long as she kept remembering him, he'd never be forgotten.
Fink even thought about KO once…wondering how the little twerp was getting on…and even thought where he was making his new life…she chuckled predicting he had it bad and that her life was the best one. Fink was used to being on her own…and she was fine with that now, especially with the online gaming she was exposed to and to all the assholes she took the piss out of. She loved it.
So, today was no different…four years had passed and still, she would wake up, jump out of bed and log on to her computer. A PlayStation sort of model that she stole from a games shop, linked to a huge monitor that seem to float in a holographic way…while she also had other monitors around her room that were linked to the security cameras outside and inside around the factory.
She had an incident…but nothing she couldn't handle.
THE INCIDENT: 3 DAYS AGO.
A couple of guys were sneaking outside the factory. They were wearing black all over, including the balaclavas over their faces. They were clearly there to rob the place. They had bags on their backs…one of the bulgers had a tool, to try and break through the window. The other guy was looking around. The first guy with the glass cutter, started to cut a huge circle in the window…it was making a scrapping noise, like the uncomfortable noise from a chalk board. The other guy got nervous.
BURGLAR 2: (Whispering) Christ sake, that's too loud!
BURGLAR 1: Relax.
BURGLAR 2: Relax? It's far too noisy, you'll wake someone up.
BURGLAR 1: No, I won't…this place hasn't been used in years. There's no one here.
BURGLAR 2: Are you sure about that? I've seen the chimneys pour out smoke. Chimneys don't just randomly puff out smoke, do they?
BURGLAR 1: (Shrugs) Probably some security guard keeping the place alive.
BURGLAR 2: A security gua-…? (Huffs and face palms) You just said the place was empty!
BURGLAR 1: Yes, I did. It's probably empty now. (Turns to look at the other guy) Look, even if there is someone in there, we can take them on. We both have guns, so what's the problem?
BURGLAR 2: Well, if I'm quite honest, I'd rather not kill anyone!
BURGLAR 1: It's just a precaution. (Completes the cutting and rummages through his bag) Look, I'm telling you, this place is a gold mine! (Pulls out some suckers) This is Venomous and Boxman's old place…it's abandoned. Think of all the stuff we could find: Blueprints, robot parts, stuff we could scrap for cash. No one will give a shit! We take what we can…in and out, a quick job.
BURGLAR 2: We better be quick!
BURGLAR 1: We will. For God sake, will you stop worrying?!
The first burglar removes the window pane…and they both climb through the window.
The opened main part of the factory was dark, with a few small odd lights scattered around the place but you still needed a torch to see…which luckily, the robbers came prepared. They stayed close to each other, flicking their torches to every side of the factory…only their footsteps seemed to echo throughout the whole building. Some of the metal on the red walls was starting to rust…and a few piles of scrap metal here and there but nothing that seemed valuable. The first burglar confidently walked further into the giant open factory, while the other was shaking a little.
BURGLAR 2: Oh man. (Looks around, shining his torch) I don't like this. I feel a presence.
The first bugler annoyingly sighs and shouts.
BURGLAR 1: HELLOOOOOOOOO?! (This startles the second chap) ANYBODY HERE?
BURGLAR 2: What the fuck are you doing?
BURGLAR 1: MY FRIEND HERE, IS WORRIED THAT SOMEBODY MIGHT BE HERE! WELL…ARE YOU?
The burglars voice echoes around the seemly abandoned factory, bouncing off the metal walls and repeating his sentence a few times, until disappearing. The second burglar looks around worriedly, shining his torch to every possible movement, especially from the metal paths further up the top to more floors…but it was just the trick of the light. The first burglar just chuckled…but the second guy wasn't amused. There was no response back from his mocking question…as soon as the echo died down, it was quiet again.
BURGLAR 2: Don't ever fucking do that again!
BURGLAR 1: Oh, come on. That was hilarious. And besides, it's proven my point…that no one is here.
BURGLAR 2: That doesn't mean a thing! You might've just given them the heads up that we're here!
BURGLAR 1: There is no one here! (Pulls out his gun) Look!
The burglar shoots randomly three times, sometimes making a bullet ricochet from the metallic interior, which also echoed throughout the factory. It went quiet once again.
BURGLAR 1: See? Nothing!
Just then they heard some skittering and tiny rustling from above. They both shined their torches to where the sound was coming…but nothing was there.
BURGLAR 2: Did you hear that?
BURGLAR 1: Probably some rats. To be fair, I'd run away to if I heard a loud noise. (Shrugs) Meh. You expect rats and stinking rodents in an empty place like this. Anyway…let's get on with this.
BURGLAR 2: I don't like this…
BURGLAR 1: Oh for fuck sake, wait outside then if you're gonna shit yourself! I'm going upstairs.
The first robber does just that…while the second robber just stands there, looking around with his touch. He practically didn't want to move from that spot.
Meanwhile, the first chap was upstairs…there were loads of floors to cover but he started on the first floor, it was easier to see, and was just a corridor…sure it was still dark but easier to manoeuvre. He was about to go in the first room but something caught his eye…there was something flickering, at the end of corridor, the only thing illuminating the whole corridor. The burglar got cautious and took out his gun, and pulled back the cap. He pointed in the direction he walked to…and as he got close, the light was flickering from a room, with the door slightly open. He slowly made his way to the door, ready for any sudden movements…he breathed slowly. The guy was at the door…and held his gun tight and torch ready to see where he'll aim…he then kicked the door open and shot a couple of rounds…but stopped when he noticed the flickering light came from a monitor, clearly on…he stepped forward into the room to look closely to see that it was a video game that was paused. Straight away, he was puzzled and looked around…he shone his torch on the floor to see opened crisp packets and chocolate bars, that had been eaten…and looked recent as well.
BURGLAR 1: What the…?
A dark figure from the shadow's lurked above the robber…and suddenly, the Burglar was pulled up by some fishing wire, around his neck…he started to choke, he started to gag, he dropped his gun and his torch. His lashed his legs, like trying to move in the air and his hands where around his neck, trying to loosen the grip that was now tighter…his air ways now blocked, he tried to call out but couldn't. The figure pulled even tighter, that the fishing wire started to cut through the skin…the burglar couldn't make a sound, aside from some dying gagging, wet sounds…the more he flayed, the more deeper the fishing wire dug into his neck…and blood spurted out, drenching the man's front. The gagging stopped…the last of any sound to come out of the man…and his body weakened, the neck severely deeper now, blood exiting like a burst dam…and then his body limped. Whoever was holding him above, yanked a couple of times to make sure the main was dead, the fishing wire almost cutting off the head…this was person was definitely dead…and the figure dropped the dead man, like a rag doll…
Downstairs, the second burglar was looking through some metal rubbish, mainly going through the disused Darrel's and Shannon's robot bodies. The brain part he found to be gross as it seemed to be in some dirty, old water…but was more interested in Shannon's parts, as he opened up her chest cavity, he was amazing with all the parts that this robot kept in her which were mainly blades and saws…but somehow they were compact and the practical device of this looked like it was still intact…he tried to pull it out but it was lodged in there. He cursed as he realised his partner had the bag of tools…he had to go find him.
The second burglar stood up and turned around, the torch following him…
…and then a little green monster was in his view. Fangs out, screamed, hissed and jumped at him. The second chap screamed himself but was quick at the draw and shot at, with one shot, whatever was coming towards him…the bullet pushed this little creature off its feet and back into the dark…rolling back on the floor. The burglar's heart felt like it'd jumped out of his mouth. He was shaking violently…his gun still pointing at the direction where the little monster disappeared…
BURGLAR 2: What the fuck…? WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT?
He was lashing the torch's light to try and find where this monster had landed…but couldn't see anything. In fact, whatever it was…it was gone.
BURGLAR 2: (Calling to his partner) Hey! HEY! (No response) THERE'S SOMETHING FUCKING HERE!
The second guy was getting more nervous since his partner didn't respond back, it made it more worrying. Just then, there were footsteps coming closer to him, he shone his torch again: It was Fink, looking angry…and had a bullet hole in her lab coat…but no blood. The burglar screamed…this rat was stealthy. The burglar eased his screaming…when he noticed that Fink was just a kid rat…but she was no ordinary kid…
FINK: (Annoyed) I can't believe you shot me! A KID! I'M A GOD DAMN KID!
BURGLAR 2: Well you shouldn't f-fucking scare me like-…(Notices the bullet hole on her lab coat didn't have blood on it)…wait, why aren't you bleeding? (Looks around) And where's-…?
Fink didn't let him finish his sentence as she jumped at him and chomped on his nose. He screamed, as Fink chewed through the nose, breaking it, then ripping it off…the man screamed louder, dropping the gun and torch. Fink jumped off, spitting the nose out. The second burglar was in shock, he didn't know what to door…he covered his flooded bleeding nose with his hands and in a panic, the man ran away, wanting to get out of here…but was unsure where to go. Fink smirked, pointing and laughing at the suffering bloke. The chap clumsily ran into the wall…but not falling over, he was still screaming in pain. Fink started to laugh. They say rats have poor eyesight in the dark, but not Fink. Fink pulled out a knife, tossed it in her hand confidently…and then chucked it at the second burglar. The knife wetly thudded into the back of the man's head…he had stopped screaming, his eyes rolled back and he fell backwards onto the dusty ground, dead. Fink wipe clasped her hands, proud of the job she done.
FINK: (Walks towards the body) Serves you two right for breaking an entry and coming into my territory…and then shootin' a kid?! Who does that?
Fink then pulled out a thick metal sheet, that she wore over her lab coat…the scrap of metal was perfect for a self-made bullet vest. She chuckled. It didn't take Fink long to figure out what to do with the bodies…she was gonna put them in the incinerator. Simple.
END OF INCIDENT.
No one, was ever going to escape Fink's clutches, unless they were on her property. Other than the incident three days ago, not much as really happened towards the factory, which was fine by her.
A few hours later…
Fink was deep in a battle royale match online…and at the moment, she was currently ranked 249th, which wasn't bad, considering millions of people play the game. Of course, the more she played and the better she got, the higher up the ranking table she'd go. But sometimes Fink would troll other gamers and purposely lose matches for the fun of it, just to piss people off…
…suddenly, she felt a cramp in her stomach.
FINK: Ah...ow! Shit…
She'd be having this for a while, for the last hour but this time, it was intense. The cramp felt very tight…it felt like it was the stomach, but seemed to be lower than that. The pain was sharp, she winced through gritted teeth. It was putting her off from her game. Then another sharp cramp tight-like pain…it was hurting so much, that she had to leave the game. She held her stomach with her hands…suddenly, the pain was just…gone…
FINK: What was all that about…?
She felt weird.
FINK: Ugh. Maybe I need to eat something…
She quickly typed to the other gamers in the chat box that she'd "brb fh" (Be Right Back. Fucking Hungry).
She could feel the crampness again but it wasn't hurting as much...if anything, it was easing down, with the odd sharp pain here and there. She climbed off her swivel chair and proceeded to go to the kitchen. As she left the room…she didn't notice the dotted speck of blood on her chair…
…
End of Chapter
NOTES: There you go, another chapter. Like I said, I just wanted to get this one out of the way. And if you're wondering how Fink managed to lift someone up at her age…well, she's just strong and insane.
