Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of Hornet and Phantom. Enjoy the 1200-word chapter. I don't own Bleach, Tite Kubo and a few others do.

Riku said nothing during training. Nothing he would really say would dim Sui-Feng's rage.

Still? Within a few hours? Sui-Feng was finished with training, leaving some of her more annoying officers upon the ground. Riku was just glad that he didn't feel the wrath of the stealth force captain.

"Dismissed." Sui-Feng said before turning from her division. "And let this be a lesson. If I am asleep? You are to begin exercises REGARDLESS of if I'm unable to actually get up at the moment." Sui-Feng stated as the rest of her group dispersed once again.

Riku was silent as every single member of the Stealth force slowly left the field…. Part of him didn't feel bad about what happened. The group sent him in knowing that Sui-Feng would throw all of her rage at him.

"Lady Sui-Feng?" Riku asked and started to walk up to the woman in question. "May we talk?" Riku questioned while he hummed.

Sui-Feng paused to turn to him and blinked before mentally thinking of if she had remembered him. She hummed before nodding.

"You're the one who went to retrieve me for tomorrow's exercise, yes?" Sui-Feng questioned which got a nod as Riku hummed. "Then spar with me, I'll speak with you then." Sui-Feng said and drew her blade before Riku had a chance to speak.

Riku mentally sighed and drew his own blade. Not following Sui-Feng's words would just anger her. He didn't want another thrashing from the woman when it came down to it.

Riku drew his sword as Sui-Feng started to circle him. He kept his own blade ready for the fight.

"I… Must thank you for waking me." Sui-Feng stated while looking at her subordinate. "But that doesn't excuse you from skipping work." Sui-Feng said as she swung at Riku.

Sparks flew as Riku narrowly deflected the hit, then another from his left and a lunge at his hip. Riku almost stumbled a few steps at the moment.

"I agree, that was very stupid, Lady Sui-Feng." Riku stated as he started to look for an opening to attack. "However, the division wanted you awake and present. Nobody wanted to misinterpret your words or such. I apologize for disturbing you." Riku said while blocking a swing at his throat.

Sui-Feng stepped backwards as she and Riku started to circle each other once more. Riku kept his blade up and ready towards her.

"And you are not hurt at my anger against you?" Sui-Feng stated once more as Riku hummed and nodded. "Why?" Sui-Feng questioned as Riku cleared his throat to answer as honestly as possible.

"Because I know very well how… Unpleasant your awakening probably was." Riku said and took a swipe at Sui-Feng's hip which was deflected. "And we're warriors, I could imagine any number of us reacting with violence upon being awakened. That could very well have been an assassin trying to kill you." Riku said as Sui-Feng grabbed at his arm, pulling their weight along as she rolled into a somersault.

Riku smashed into the ground as Sui-Feng planted her foot upon his back. Riku still blocked a strike at his hips.

"You would have been killed if that was a hollow." Sui-Feng stated with a scowl as Riku hummed and rolled to the side. Sui-Feng leapt back at the sudden change in posture. "Very good." Sui-Feng added as Riku and aimed his sword towards her.

"You're a good teacher, Lady Sui-Feng." Riku stated with a smile as he kept at the ready. "Don't rush in, don't make a stupid move, stop being overly aggressive. We are the stealth division; we don't fight like people expect… And we strike like a hurricane, destroying anything that we fight within a few strikes." Riku added and kept his sword ready.

Sui-Feng hummed, interested that one of her men took their training seriously. She could personally count the number of people who would actually take her training to heart on one hand. It gave her pause.

Riku was once more curious as he locked blades with Sui-Feng, she blinked at him.

"You are aware I could have taken your life if I felt like it." Sui-Feng stated which got a nod from Riku at the moment. "And you are ok with that?" Sui-Feng questioned with Riku giving a hum.

"Reapers have lived and died in the line of duty." Riku said while dodged a series of slices at his throat. "I knew very well that you would have taken my life if I had woken you up badly." Riku stated as he hummed and stepped backwards.

Sui-Feng hummed and looked at her subordinate once more. Riku awaited her next move, there were no strikes, not a single move at her. He wasn't pushing his luck.

'A single overextended strike and she would have gutted me.' Riku thought to himself while he waited for Sui-Feng to make another move.

"I didn't get your name." Sui-Feng said a bit hesitatingly as Riku raised an eyebrow. "You're the first to offer for more training with me." Sui-Feng said which was greeted by another hum by Riku.

"It's Riku, Lady Feng." Riku stated as he lunged forward once more. "Just another warrior within the stealth force… I am curious why you hadn't attacked me for daring to wake you." Riku said which got a roll of the eyes from Sui-Feng.

Did every single member of the group think that she was a rage led brute? She wasn't, Sui-Feng wasn't stupid. You didn't become the leader of an entire division.

Riku said nothing as he dodged a slice at his hip which would have cleaved him in 2 if he hadn't leapt back.

"This battle is ended for now." Sui-Feng said before she sheathed her blade on her hip. "I assume you will be back after tomorrow's courses to come for more training?" Sui-Feng asked which she knew the answer to before she even left.

It left Riku quietly curious about what had happened…. And if this was going to be as strange as he knew about. Riku watched his captain depart at the moment. Riku could only question what the next fight would happen at the same.

Riku did find some interest in his next battle with the captain. She wouldn't hold anything back, she was a warrior, after all. How could you really blame it when it came down to it?

"This is going to be long day tomorrow." Riku stated to himself and then turned to the side. "It will be far interesting, isn't it?" Riku asked himself while shaking his head and humming.

He turned and departed for his quarters, interested in his next bout with the captain of the stealth division. There would be another fight sooner or later when it came down to it.
