If you know the theme music to Death in Paradise then sing that to yourself before starting to read the chapter :) thank you for the reviews and follows, I'm sorry my uploads are so slow. I'm busy with a full-time job and basically writing this 'whodunit' as I go along.

Apart from those who had found the body, the guests were ushered outside to the garden away from the house, and Kayo watched four police officers examine the body still lying on the sofa.

"From the angle sir, I'd say she collapsed. She has a small bump on the head."

"Yes Florence, and by the swelling around the lips possibly poisoned. Fidel, have you found anything which could have poison in it?"

"Nothing inspector, the only thing near her is her champagne glass."

"Okay, bag it up and get it sent to the labs for any traces of poison."

"What poison are we dealing with?"

"The likeliest is to be cyanide," the inspector stood up, "get as many pictures as you can Tobi. And Fidel, bag as much as you can. Then you can release the body, it's time to get statements," he looked over at the group.

Penelope stood beside Pierre comforting him as he trembled and Natasha was chewing her fingernail absentmindedly trying not to think about how she had found the now deceased Melissa. The DI went forward and introduced himself.

"My name is Detective Inspector Humphrey Mooney, and this is detective sergeant Florence Cassell. We shan't be holding you for much longer but could I just ask you all some questions? First of all, name and relation to the deceased."

Pierre nodded, "Pierre Colm. Mellissa was my wife, and this is my gallery."

"Charles Colm, Pierre's brother. I arrived on the island yesterday evening."

Lady Penelope shared a worried look with Kayo, "Lady Penelope Creighton Ward. Pierre and my father are friends, I am just here to support the auction."

Natasha nodded, "Natasha Howard, Penelope's friend and visiting."

"Tanusha Kyrano, same story."

Parker shifted uncomfortably, "Aloysius Parker, her Ladyship's bodyguard."

Humphrey nodded as Florence took notes beside him, "and where were all of you when the body was found?"

Pierre looked at his guests, "we were all inside, in fact, I had eyes on everyone here."

"I was the one who found Melissa," Natasha looked up, "I was heading to the bathroom when I saw her on the sofa."

"And you didn't see anyone before you went in?"

"No."

"Forgive me inspector, but what are you implying here?" Charles asked crossing his arms with impatience.

"From what we can tell, she has been poisoned causing her to collapse. Murder."

"And you think one of us did it?" Charles scoffed, "that's ridiculous."

"For now that's what we're going on," he smiled at his colleague beside him, "if you just wait for your photo to be taken and hand in your passports as soon as you can, you can go. Thank you."

Florence opened the door to the jeep as Humphrey got into the passenger seat looking back at the suspects, "you are certain it was one of them?"

"It has to be, Florence. We'll start taking their statements tomorrow once we've received their addresses. Let's go, drinks are on me tonight."

Florence chuckled starting the engine, "better let Fidel know."

Kayo punched her hand against the sofa in frustration back at their hotel suite, "what the hell happened today?"

Penelope rubbed her hands together from where she sat on the sofa, "who could hurt Melissa? She was lovely to everyone, I can't imagine someone wanting to end her life."

"We're now suspects in a murder investigation," Kayo continued, now pacing, "they're going to want to know our backstories, I need to let Jeff know."

Natasha spun round, "no, don't. Doing that could get the GDF involved and upset the boys. We can't let them know, not yet anyway."

"Nat, I'm a covert operations security officer for International Rescue, I'm meant to be undercover and now I'm about to be investigated. They'll dig up my whole past."

Penelope sighed, "for goodness sake Kayo, you were with me the whole time, you're innocent. If you think you have troubles, think about Parker, he has a criminal record!"

Kayo bit back a response and instead nodded, "I'm sorry Penny, you're right. Is he going to be okay?"

"I don't know, it depends what they find on him. My father has cleared his name as best he can from records, but you can't hide them all."

Natasha stood up from the sofa, "I'm going to have a shower. Shall we order room service for dinner?"

Kayo nodded, "yeah I don't feel like going out now. I'll order for us."

"I'm really sorry about your friend, Penny."

"Thank you, Nat, but it's Pierre I feel most sorry for, he must be heartbroken. I can't imagine what he's going through."

The evening drew in and Natasha sat in bed staring at Virgil's name on her phone contacts. How she wanted to message him and let him know what had happened, but she knew it wouldn't be right. His organisation was one of rescuing those in need, not a police force. Reluctant, she sighed and began to type.

"The auction went really well. Turning in now after a long day. Will let you know more about it tomorrow xx."

The girls were up early the next morning and had ordered breakfast from the kitchen in the hotel, Penelope stood in their mini kitchen making tea when a knock sounded outside their door. Natasha frowned as she got up from the sofa and walked over to the entrance to their suite.

"The inspector said he'd meet us in the hotel entrance, are we expecting anyone else?"

Penelope shook her head, "no, not unless it's room service."

Natasha opened the door and gasped, "Scott?"

Penelope frowned, "what are you doing here? Natasha, I told you not to tell the boys."

"I didn't, I promise," she backed up as Scott walked in then smiled as Virgil followed, "hey sweetheart."

"No, she's right. I did," Kayo stepped out from her room hanging her head low in shame, "I couldn't hold it back."

Scott sat down on the sofa with his two brothers, "Kayo told us last night what had happened, and dad told us to come out."

"Do the GDF know?" Natasha asked nervously.

"No they don't, Kayo was strict about that," Virgil smiled at her.

Penelope crossed her arms ignoring Gordon's smile of reassurance, "you can't get involved with this. You shouldn't have come."

"And we won't get involved, we're here for emotional support."

Penelope stood up, "we'll be called for interviews soon. Do not follow us, okay?"

"Alright."

"How did you get here anyway?"

Scott smirked, "Thunderbird 1, she's on the roof."

Kayo slammed her palm into her face, "subtle Scott."

"The airport is tiny and she would have stood out."

"The keywords there were 'the airport'. What will the police say if they see her on the roof?"

Gordon shrugged, "assume there's a rescue."

Kayo glared at him, "they're not stupid."

Natasha checked the time, "we better head down to reception, the inspector will be arriving soon," she picked up her bag.

"Stay here and don't be seen," Kayo got up and grabbed her phone off the table, "we'll come back up after the interrogation."

The trio walked down to reception and through our onto the veranda overlooking the sea, the inspector and detective sergeant were already there and surprisingly smiling.

"Thank you for joining us, please take a seat."

Penelope nodded and pulled out a chair as the other two did the same, "thank you."

"I know this is very difficult for you, so your co-operation is highly appreciated. Overnight, the lab got back to us and confirmed that Melissa Colm was indeed poisoned with cyanide and died shortly after consummation."

"She ingested it?" Natasha asked.

"It would appear so. So first question, where were each of you at the time of 2 pm when the body was found?"

Natasha frowned, "2 pm?"

Humphrey nodded, "she sent a message on her phone to her mother at 13:48 and didn't reply again. CCTV shows a clock on the wall and you Miss Howard walking through the hallway at 2 pm."

"That leaves a murder time of roughly ten minutes, if that," Kayo frowned.

"So miss Howard?"

"Well, I was outside with Penelope and Tanusha the whole time, from when the auction ended and Melissa was found by me."

"Miss Kyrano?"

Kayo nodded, "I only knew Penelope and Natasha so stayed with them the whole time. I only went inside after I saw Nat run over to Pierre."

Lady Penelope sighed, "inspector, I'm sure you have already checked my records. I never left that room, I was asked by my father to come and support the gallery and Pierre. Our alibis check out."

"But your bodyguard's doesn't," Florence looked over at Parker who was standing nearby, "Sir, would you join us please?"

"Yes ma'am," Parker walked over nervously and caught Penelope's eye.

"Before you say anything, inspector, Parker has served my family for many years. I trust him with my life."

"Parker. Where were you at the auction?" Humphrey folded his arms as he leaned on the table.

"H'I was by her Ladyship's side the whole time sir, h'and during the after-party I was at the bar."

Penelope closed her eyes as she swallowed, that information could go against him.

"The bar? So you had eyes on the drinks?"

"I wasn't looking at them closely ma'am. I've heard of spiking drinks but no one did such a thing at the party."

Humphrey nodded, "alright. Well, that will be all for now, if any more information arises we'll call. Thank you again."

Penelope watched them leave, "I wish you hadn't said you'd been at the bar, Parker."

"I'm sorry M'lady, I swore that after I left prison I'd always tell the truth."

"I know, and I know you're innocent. I hope they find the real killer."

Natasha sighed, "I'm going for a walk, and you better look out for Gordon hitting the waves," she got her phone out and texted Virgil to meet her on the beach, "see you later."

Kayo nodded, "I'm going back up to the room, I need to talk to Scott."

Virgil wrapped his arm across Natasha's shoulders as they walked along the seafront, "how was it?"

"Stressful. This is not how I imagined my holiday would go. We're here for a week and now it's turned into a murder investigation."

"At least you're innocent and they'll see that."

"I don't want to know who did it, to think someone could be that cruel is sickening," she shuddered and felt tears come to her eyes, "I- I just can't."

Virgil stopped and pulled her to his chest resting his chin on top of her head, "hey it's okay, it's going to be okay. Come on, let's go and grab a coffee."

Humphrey looked over the photos on the whiteboard, "those three are innocent," he drew three red Xs over their faces. "it's between the two brothers and this man."

"The butler? Aren't you always saying it's the butler?"

"It's a common phrase."

"Inspector, I've checked with the catering staff and they said no one came near the drinks on the trays."

"Thank you, Tobi. Fidel, were there any other fingerprints on that glass?"

"No sir, only the victim's."

"Hmm," he stared at the remaining photos then at the one of Melissa lying on the sofa, "she was heading back from somewhere, why else would she have fallen there."

"So perhaps the poison was given to her away from the party?"

"Perhaps. We're looking at a time gap of eight minutes, we think. Unless the poison took longer to get into her body."

Florence pointed at the photos, "everyone there has a valid alibi, we're missing something."

"Tobi, go back to the crime scene and see if you can find anything we may have missed. Florence, I think we should pay Mr Colm a visit."
