By the next morning we find Mabel asleep in bed ,however what's strange about today is that Waddles wasn't sleeping with her when she woke up.
Despite her best efforts in searching the bedroom ,Mabel had not found her beloved pig surely enough ,she started to get a little worried.
She looked all over the bedroom for her pet, but sadly he was nowhere to be found , what she found instead was allot more interesting that was beside the nightstand by her bed.
It was a piece of paper that was folded in half with To Mabel written on the front of it ,she takes it before unfolding it to read a message written for her.
If you are reading this, then that means you noticed Waddles isn't in bed with you, that's because took him somewhere secret and it's up to you to figure out where. All you have to do is follow the clues that I lay out for you ,including the one on the back of this paper, signed: Dipper.
Mabel soon figured out immediately that Dipper planned on a scavenger hunt for today, and that he's asking Waddles to help him with Mabel's surprise.
Turning the note over, there was indeed a message that read Clue 1: One thing from the shack as gifts we took ; I a cap and you a...?
It didn't take Mabel long before she realized what the answer to her brothers riddle was, as she takes out from under the covers her most prized possession as she excitedly shouts "GRAPPLING HOOK!"
After hopping off of bed, Mabel starts to get dressed before she makes her way downstairs.
Mabel then makes her way to the Gravity Falls Gift Shop, it was a slow morning that day there were barely any people.
Wendy was at the counter reading a magazine at this time ,before she hears Mabel walk in and greet her.
"Hey Mabel, what brings you here?" Asks Wendy putting down the magazine to greet her, then mumbles to herself afterwards "as if I didn't already know."
"I'm just here to look for something" Mabel answers with a smile ,as she looks around the gift shop for anything out of place.
Wendy taking notice of this ,asks "you're looking for a clue your brother left you ,check the inventory box" pointing to the said location.
Approaching the box Mabel proceeds to dig inside ,luckily all that was in it where some shirts, caps ,and even a couple plastic bottles made to look like vintage ones.
It wasn't long before she eventually finds a folded sheet of paper that read Clue 2.
Looking at the paper once it was unfolded ,all it had was a picture of three colored circles ,as well as what looks to be a picture of fruit inside each circle.
Mabel was certainly confused, what can the picture mean?
Sitting on the floor with her legs and arms crossed with her head lowered, she began to think.
While Mabel was stuck in her thoughts, Wendy looks down at the young pine girl ,before she offers to help saying "maybe I can help, let me see the clue."
Mabel gives Wendy the clue, she looks carefully at the sheet. Four hours later she comes up with an answer.
"Hey Mabel!" Suggests Wendy " these kind of looks like pie from a birds eye view" Mabel started getting confused ,wondering what did pie have to do with where Waddles is?
It wasn't long before the girls thinking session was interrupted by Stan storming in carrying three boxes of pie, announcing "if anyone needs me ,I'll be in the kitchen preparing to eat these pies I got from Susan."
Mabel witnessing Stan's questionable yet convenient arrival with the answer ,as Mabel comes to a conclusion that the second clue is hidden in one of the boxes of pies.
Acting quick, she follows Stan to the kitchen without being seen.
In the kitchen ,Mabel enters to find Stan's pies laying on the kitchen table. Carefully, she would try to approach them.
But before getting her hands on at least one, she hears a gravelly voice shouting her name. That voice belonging to her Grunkle holding a container of milk in one hand.
"Oh G-Grunkle Stan I-I was I mean" stammers Mable, Stan continues to look at her in disbelief.
This continues on for at least two seconds, before Stan says to her "honestly Mabel ,if you wanted pie so bad you should have gotten one after I put it in the fridge and left the room."
Mabel was confused despite this, her Grunkle continued to talk saying "I mean seriously, who in their right mind tries to steal pie when somebody is getting milk to wash it down with?"
Mabel would nervously chuckle asking "right, well uh can I still have one?" Stan replies "well I don't see why not, what flavor do you want?"
Stan then presents the pies to her stating "There's grape, apple, cherry" pointing to each, in which Mabel says "I'll take one of each!"
However when Stan began to cut a slice for Mabel ,she instead takes the rest of the pie in the box and starts eating. Stan is frozen with shock as she continues to eat the pie in the box ,doing the same thing with the other two pies.
An hour and a half passes by, we now see an exhausted Mabel on the kitchen floor with a full stomach ,surrounded by pie tins , jelly covering all her face as well as her hair, and her sweater was also completely stained with crumbs from the pie crust.
Stan who had witnessed Mabel stuff her face ,commented "holy cream rolls and pudding Mable you ate all three pies without even throwing up ,I don't know whether to be angry or impressed."
Leaving the kitchen Stan says "I should probably get going anyway ,I need to ...Check on something" clearing his throat before leaving.
Mabel with a full stomach says "man why did I eat all that pie ,what was I even thinking there would be no way Dipper can hide a clue in pie."
Only to be proven wrong ,taking notice of the remaining contents inside the pie that spell out B. U. D.
Mabel at first was confused ,then piecing together that Dipper had hidden the next clue to Waddle's whereabouts was, in the possession of one Bud Gleeful.
Despite his son being behind bars ,Mabel still has great fear of ever entering places of work that had the name Gleeful on it. Especially since her last encounters with Gideon.
Unfortunately ,she knew that for the sake of finding her beloved pig ,she knew she had to go through with visiting the Gleeful residence.
At the Gleeful household that afternoon, Mabel comes to the front door. Before she even knocks however Mabel takes notice of an open window.
She decided to make her way toward the said window to evade facing the man who might possibly hold a grudge on one of the people who put his son away.
Unfortunately, as soon as she is about to dash for the window, she suddenly stops in her tracks when the front door begins to click open and out came Bud Gleeful with a cheery grin on his face , greeting Mabel at sight.
"Oh hehe hey …You" Mabel says with a nervous chuckle ,in which Bud says "I'll bet I know why your here" which Mabel would nervously reply "nope, I would highly doubt it" in an attempt to try and not make things awkward or obvious.
From which Bud immediately picks her up off the ground and brings her in the living room, where Bud then tells her to make herself at home while he went to get refreshments.
At this point Mabel got out of her seat and began to search for a clue of some sort ,sadly to little success...Until Bud came back with a pitcher of iced tea .
Just then he realized there were no cups to pour refreshments in, from which Bud says "oh dang it I always forget cups be back in a sec."
Once Bud's back was turned ,Mabel noticed something written on the back of his shirt which read Fish paste.
"What kind of clue is that?" Wonders Mabel ,who decides to leave the Gleeful abode abruptly ,even before Bud returns with the cups much to his dismay.
Later that day ,despite her efforts Mabel was unable to figure out where the next clue that involved fish paste meant.
Suddenly from out of nowhere, she came across Old Man McGucket dancing with glee over something ,before noticing what he was holding in his bandaged hand.
"Can you believe my luck ,I cant believe someone left this out in the open on an old stump!" The old man says excitedly, lifting up the jar in the air.
"I don't believe this!" Says Mabel in disbelief, when she saw in McGucket's hand was a jar that was literally fish paste.
Mabel wanted to question how coincidental the situation was getting, however she was too focused on looking for her pet.
McGucket seats himself on the floor and starts to dump the hole jar on a piece of bread. Much to Mabel's shock there didn't seem to be any form of clue that poured out.
Then McGucket places the jar beside him, that's when Mabel notices behind the label inside the glass jar where words that where written in marker, without hesitation she walks over to the jar to claim it.
As soon as she does however, McGucket takes notice and asks her "hey you where are you going with my jar?" Mabel had to act quick and tell him something .
What she tells him is "Oh I just need it for about a minute ,I'll give it right back I promise."
The old bearded weirdo simply shrugs and resumes his lunch, Mabel was finally able to claim her clue by taking off the label.
How Dipper was able to put a clue on it and put it back in place was a mystery to the Pine sister, however the only mystery on her mind now was reading the clue that might lead her to Waddles whereabouts.
Looking at the clue it strangely read :OZHG XOFV: BLFI ZONLHG GSVIV, GL XOZRN DZWWOVH XLNV GL GSV YLDORMT ZOOVB.
"What the heck?" Wondered Mabel, trying to figure out how to solve the clue let alone figure out what it means.
Mabel soon reminded herself that her brother WAS the one who set up this hunt ,and that what he did for the last clue is put in a cryptogram in the hopes that she can remember how to decipher it as well as figure out what cipher to use.
She decided to try deciphering it with an easy cipher ,when the sun slowly started going down ,she was able to figure out one fourth of the clue ,repeating to herself " so far it reads Last Clue: your almost there ,to claim Waddles go to the..." Thus she looks back at the last two letters of the clue ,concentrated on where she is meant to go.
After about a minute or so ,she finally pieced together the destination which happens to be the Bowling Alley.
That afternoon Mabel finally makes her way to the front entrance of the Bowling Alley ,where she crosses her finger in the hopes that Waddles would be somewhere inside.
Once she opens the double doors and steps inside ,what she was greeted to was not only Waddles but also Dipper, Grunkle Stan ,Wendy ,and Soos who all waited for her just to cheer for her accomplishment.
All of them were holding a large sign that read Way to go Mabel! Mabel was speechless by the lack of effort ,yet surprisingly kind gesture they where all showing for Mabel.
"Congratulations Mabel, I hope that scavenger hunt wasn't too bad" says Dipper ,Mabel with a quivering lip asks him "did you set all this up for us?" Referring to not only herself to her brother ,but also her beloved pig.
Which Dipper says "I told you we would make everyday a special one" much to her joy , Waddles approaches her oinking as if he where asking to be picked up.
Turning Back to her brother, Mabel says to him "thanks bro bro for doing all this" from which Dipper says " what's family for ,I'm just surprised you figured out my last clue" holding Waddles in her arms, Mabel responds with a smile on her face saying " What can I say, I know my brother too well.
Thank you all again for baring with me I hope you are all doing well with what's going on thank you for the wait and stay safe.
