Chapter 3: Toga's Mission

Toga dragged the pretty blonde into the school storage closet. Between the drugs and the liter of blood she'd drank from the girl she'd be out for at least 10 to 15 hours which would give Toga plenty of time to sneak into the class and infiltrate the hero license exam.

Her objective: Locate Katsuki Bakugou, and or Todoroki Shouto, and pass on a message.

"I need you to pass on a message to the U.A. hero course students for me. Use whatever methods you deem necessary to infiltrate their borders… but no killing."

"This is so exciting…" Toga admired herself in the hallway glass and pursed her full lips. "I get to see Ochako-chan, and Tsuyu-Chan, and maybe even Yao-chan and Kendo-chan!"

"Camie there you are." Seiji of Shiketsu High School strolled up with his usual pompous attitude. Toga spared him a look then slipped quickly into character.

"Sorry, I had some lady business to attend to." She winked and poked a finger to her cheek. "Forgive me?"

"Erm yes… well at least you had the good sense to handle it before we left. Now come, the bus will arrive soon." He quickly did an about face and strutted away.

Toga hummed casually as she walked behind him and took in the sights of Shiketsu Academy. She wished she'd been able to sneak into U.A. instead, but after gathering some key information she knew it wouldn't be easy. It was better to use an outside school that wasn't on such high alert, and use that cover to infiltrate.

"Yo Seiji! Camie!" Inasa waved to them excitedly. "Are you excited for this? I'm so excited for this!"

p"Shut up, you gorilla." Seiji scowled. "You're being way too loud. Remember to show some decorum. We'll be serving as the representatives of Shiketsu high school, and I'll not have you embarrass us."

"Yessir!" Inasa saluted enthusiastically.

"Are you ready, Camie?" Nagamasa, in all his hairy glory, asked. Toga spared him a look then let the smallest of smiles spread on her full lips.

"Yes…" She covered her lips with the back of her hand to hide a giggle. "I can't wait."

~Meanwhile~

"Black Knight to White Rook," Izumi confiscated Tomura's side castle and set it aside with the collection of pieces. "You're not even trying, Tomura."

"You know I prefer video games over chess…" Tomura let his finger scan over his remaining pieces and then plucked one up with his thumb and middle finger. He moved his queen to capture the knight. "Besides, I don't fight seriously when my opponent isn't either. You could have won this game three turns ago, but you're dragging it out."

"I guess I'm stalling for time…" Izumi sighed and slumped back in her seat. She winced a little as her ribs ached and she breathed in deep and slow. "Mmmmph, damn it. Toga was supposed to have reported back already. I'm getting worried."

"You asked her to do this mission and you gave her free reign on how." Tomura reminded her. "If you're that worried, you should have given her more implicit instructions. Thinking is not that girl's forte."

"You underestimate her intelligence. She may be a little stabby crazy, but she's not stupid. She's gone undercover before and has never been caught. I have faith in her."

"Then stop worrying. She'll check in once she's accomplished her goal." He grunted when she finally checked his king. He flicked it down and slumped back in his chair. "At least of you were healthy we could be having sex to kill the time."

"We could always cuddle…" She gave him an affectionate smile, then turned her gaze out the window. The longing in her eyes made Shigaraki scowl. He knew exactly what was rolling around in her head and he didn't care for it. He tipped the board over in a quick little tantrum. The pieces scattered across the floor and jerked Karma's attention back to him.

"Stop pouting… he's gone Karma. There's nothing you can do about it. So forget him!"

"I know I'm sorry, I dont mean to be so childish about this." She lowered her head. "

Dabi made his choice… he chose to leave the league and I have to come to twema thatvhe may never come back.." She secretly clasped her hand around the sword pin in her pocket. "Still… he was a valuable piece to our game. It hurts losing him."

"He's replaceable, I'm sure we can find someone far more suitable to fill his role as your knight. Someone who isn't so inclined to sleep with you." He muttered. "Twice and Magne both have leads on some new recruits so keep your focus on the league and not on the jerk who abandoned you."

The jerk who abandoned her... truth of that statement hurt more than Izumi cared to admit.

"You're right… and I have my king." She reached for him and he came to her, their lips meeting in a slow and yet possessive meeting of lips. "Mmmm I don't need anything else."

"That's more like it." He watched her use her quirk to right the pieces back to place. "How about a different game to kill time?"

"Mmmm such as?" She cuddled in closer and giggled as his mouth nipped playfullybat her neck. "Tomura… I'm injured, remember?"

"There's more than one way to satisfy our needs." He breathed into her ear and rolled her onto her side. He spooned her now, and continued to nip and kiss on her neck even as his hips grinded up against her. "You taught me that."

"I did, but-" she let out a small gasp as he entered her. His hands pressed gently on her ribs and his mouth nuzzled her ear. "You've never done it gently before."

"You wanted me to treasure you, didn't you?" He panted and moved slowly. "It took some time, but I've learned how. So be still, and let me show you what I've learned."

"As you wish…" She crooned and leaned into his embrace smiling. "My King."

~With Toga~

Toga pouted over the fact that she wasn't able to get to either Bakugou or Todoroki before they jettisoned off in different directions. From the way things were working out she wasn't going to be able to pass on Querny's message directly.

She took her time, staying clear of the other students and assessing how she should complete her mission. When she spotted Uraraka, scampering through the rocks cautiously on her own, She decided it was the next best thing.

"Surprise!" Cami-Toga flipped over her, smacking a button with one of the squishy balls. "I've got you!"

"Where did you come from?!" Uraraka gasped, looking down at her target with wide eyes. She grabbed up her own ball, putting her hands and arms up in the defensive stance Gunhead had taught her. When her eyes lifted up to lock onto her target, however… she was gone.

She panted heavily as she looked around wide eyed and frightened. She didn't know where the girl from Shiketsu had come from, but things didn't look good for her. She hesitantly circled the area, wandering into a more open space so her opponent would have anywhere to hide.

"No fair hiding! Come on out and take me on!" She challenged, shaking like a leaf.

"Come now Ura-chan, you're better than this…" Toga clamped her arms around her and dragged her into the shade of a rock. Nearby kids from other schools were moving in. "You're leaving yourself completely open… that's no way to win the game."

"MMPH!" Urakaka struggled a bit at first but then stopped as a thought occurred to her. Ura-chan? She whirled around, her breath catching as she looked into Izumi's face. "Midori? How-"

"Shhhh…" she pressed a finger to her lips. Toga hasn't planned on using this form, but knowing who she was talking to, Toga thought that this would get the message better across. "It's a secret… more importantly I'm here to give you and your friends a message." She slipped a piece of paper into her hand. "Be sure to pass it onto the others for me okay?"

"What?" Uraraka looked down at the paper then let out a shuddering breath when Izumi started to pull from her. "Wait! Midori-chan please don't go." She grabbed her hand. "Please… I know you've been through a lot, I know you're not the same girl I was in class with… but I also know that not everything was a lie."

Toga slowly turned to Uraraka, her eyes serious. She saw the look on her face, and it positively made her want to eat her up. She had to keep reminding herself that Queeny made her promise not to kill… oh, but oh how she wanted to taste her blood!

"There's so many questions circling in your mind right now, Ura-chan." She stepped towards her, pinning her back against the rock again. "I wish we had the time to talk. I wish I could give you the answers you're looking for." Her smile slowly spread and she took her chin. "Unfortunately I have neither the time, nor the luxury to indulge in girl talk. So we'll have to save it for another time."

"Ow…" Uraraka winced as her grip tightened on her cheeks. She debate whether or not to use her quirk but her assailant pinned her wrists up over her head with the opposing hand. "I just wanna know why you didn't kill Bakugou and Todoroki. You had every chance, every availability, but instead you let them go. Why?"

"I would think that'd be obvious by now, Ura-chan." Her nails dug in, drawing blood which she licked off. Uraraka, too scared to move, just shuddered in "It's because I love them. I love all of my friends… but my place is with my family…"

"They're not your family, Midori-chan!" Uraraka cried looking in her eyes. "They don't love you. They'll only hurt you in the end."

"Careful what you say about my family…" Her eyes shifted to gold and her aura turned dark with bloodlust. "... I love them far more than any of you. I won't hesitate to murder every single person who dares hurt or speaks ill of my family..."

Her smile spread wickedly again, her fangs now showing as the illusion of Izumi started to waver due to her bloodlust.

"That includes you!"

"There she is!" A Ketsubutsu student shouted, but then got a good look at the scenario. "Wait… is that…"

"It's Karma!" Shindo shouted and leaped down. He made a beeline for Uraraka and her assailant. "Get your hands off her, villain!"

"Whoops, guess I overstayed my welcome." She released Uraraka and made a dash up the rocks. Cameras zoomed in on her figure and the Hero public safety official choked on his coffee.

"No way!" He pushed the alarm button. Lights flashed red, and buzzers sirened alerting the entire compound. "Attention all attendees! There are villains on the premises! All students please evacuate!"

"Did he say villains!?" Kaminari stopped his assault mid attack. The guy he electrocuted collapsed on the ground.

"Seriously? Is this real or just part of the test?" Kirishima wondered aloud.

"It has to be real… and I only know one person who has the balls to infiltrate a place crawling with heroes." Bakugou cracked his knuckles

"Izumi…" Todoroki eyed the screen as the cameras all zoomed in on the figure atop the rock formation.

"Guess that's my cue to leave." Toga took a bow in Izumi's form, feeling it was just what her Queen would do. "This was fun, we'll have to do it again sometime."

She backflipped off the rock and zigzagged through the formations. Midrun, Toga retook Cami's form and joined the crowd of students making their way towards the evacuation sight.

The heroes spent hours combing the arena for Karma but to no avail. Cameras tried to pick up clues where she might have escaped, but due to the unprepared rock formations, it was all inconclusive.

"Are you alright, Ochako-chan?" Tsuyu asked hugging her. "I heard you were the one Karma had pinned down. She didn't hurt you, did she, Gero?"

"No Tsuyu-chan, I'm okay…" she lifted the piece of paper in her hand. "She didn't come here to hurt anyone. She just said She was passing on a message… but why would she do it herself? Why take the risk?"

"It's because she wanted to make it personal…" Bakugou held his hand out for the note and Uraraka handed it to him. He unfolded it and grit his teeth as he read the contents.

~ And the game continues... I am grateful to the heroes for removing the most dangerous piece from the board, and commend your efforts thus far. However, you'll need to improve if you wish to challenge me and mine. Do not make the same mistake in thinking that I am anything but your opponent. If any hero, regardless of who they are, falls into the league's hands again you can be certain I'll show them no mercy. This time around I'm playing for keeps. So step up your game or prepare to lose.

Sincerely yours,

Karma, Queen of Villains~

"It's a warning aimed at us." Shoto said after reading the letter himself. "We let ourselves get captured, and Izumi had ample opportunities to kill us… but in the end she decided to use us as bait. She's warning us that it won't be the same if it happens again."

"She's taking the next step towards her goal. She's not letting what happened with All for One slow her down. She's already got plans and is making preparations to execute them." Tokoyami deduced.

"So that just means we need to be ready to fill them." Bakugou crunched the letter in his hands, then handed it back to Uraraka. "Take that to one of the officials. The letter may contain more clues that the cops can pick up on."

"Good idea!" Uraraka took the letter and hurried off looking for an official. She saw a security guard ushering more students in and went over to him. "Excuse me sir, could you please hand this to the officials? Karma handed this to me before she disappeared. It could contain clues to her whereabouts."

"Of course, thank you for your efficiency young hero." He nodded and held up the letter as he addressed his partner. "We may have a lead, I'm gonna go pass this onto the brass."

"Go, I've got this covered." His partner nodded and the security guard jogged away. He went into the stairwell and the calm expression on his face melted away along with the rest of him. Toga stood in Cami's uniform, giggling to herself as she held the note. "He he he, mission complete. I better call Queeny and let her know."

~Nightime: In Kyoto~

Dabi took a big long swig from a whisky bottle as he sat on the edge of a high rise. In the distance was the sight of his wicked blue fames overtaking an abandoned warehouse district. He supposed it was petty of him to destroy one of Karma's supply storage units, after all he was the one who initially discovered the hiding spot, but at the moment he just didn't care. After spending nearly a week feeling sorry for himself and trying to figure out what the fuck to do, he'd just decided to say "fuck it" and burn his bridges.

The nerve of that girl dumping him, and choosing that crusted pasty face prick, after everything he'd done to pleasure and protect her. He'd been by her side, given everything she ever asked of him… and even risked his life on multiple occasions.

He'd had ample opportunities to walk away from her. Hell, he should have skipped out the moment she'd killed Endeavor and ruined his plans for revenge. The only reason he'd stuck around after that was because the sex was good.

Well that… and he may or may not have been harboring feelings for her… but that wasn't the point. The point is that she dumped him, and he had no reason to stick around and be used as a tool for her own devices. Any interest he had in her, and her big plan was gone. Went up in smoke just like her precious supply warehouse was right now.

A little drunk, he smirked and raised a toast to the rising flames in the distance.

"Long live the queen!" He shouted with venom in his voice. "And eat dirt and die, to your crusty face king!" He drank the toast, letting the liquid pour down his already scalded throat.

Screw plans, screw order! He'd just enjoy the small amounts of chaos he could create, and hopefully drink himself to an early grave.

"Nice view…" a voice spoke from behind him. "Do you come here often?"

"Is that supposed to be some kind of lame pick-up line, Hawks?" Dabi looked over his shoulder with a scowl. "Are you trying to butter me up before arresting me?"

"Why would I arrest my partner in crime?" He sat down beside him. "You know, when I asked you to locate the supply chain for me, this wasn't what I had in mind." He took the bottle and had a swig himself.

"You get what you pay for." Dabi snagged it back and sighed, spinning the bottle in his hand. "I don't know what I'm doing anymore. I thought partnering up with you would be the ideal payback… but I don't feel satisfied. I just feel sick."

"That's the booze, I think." He took the bottle and after careful aim dropped it into a dumpster down below. "Bullseye!" He looked to Dabi who stared down after the bottle, as if contemplating jumping after it. "You're not satisfied because it's not Karma who you really want to punish, is it?"

"You're right…" Dabi sighed and lounged back on his hands to stare up at the sky. "She's not the one I want to make suffer. She's suffered enough, and I'm sick of seeing her put herself through that just because she's got this delusion that that crusty face jerk loves her."

"Crusty face… that's the guy who... how did you put it... holds her leash?" He mimicked, giving his own necklace a little tug.

"It used to be Izumi who held everyone's leashes…" Dabi scowled and lay flat now, pillowing his head with his arms. "...from the moment I met her I could see the way she played with people. She could make friends with anyone because she had this way of breaking down barriers and getting into people's hearts. She genuinely cared about them, but the more analytical side of her knew how to use that connection to her advantage. Shigaraki was the only one she had trouble controlling, because his emotions and mental capabilities constantly shifted. He could be calm and understanding one moment, then throw her off by being cruel and sadistic the next… he could be sweet and loving to her and then turn into a raging beast at the slightest hint of irritance."

"Well damn…" Hawks let out a low whistle. "That's some prince charming she has. Why is she so attached to someone that friggin' unstable?"

"She's an idiot, that's why. She's still thinking like a hero, hoping to save Shigaraki from his destructive behavior by using herself as a shield. If he takes his anger and aggression out on her, then no one else would have to suffer. If she can focus his mind on fixing the problems the world has, he won't be inclined to destroy it. She has this stupid notion about creating a place where her broken family could be accepted and live peacefully. Where their backgrounds and personality flaws won't be prejudiced against, and everyone will live happily ever after." He scoffed at it. "Dumb kid."

"Noble…" Hawks shrugged. "But you're right, it is dumb."

"Maybe she could have done it, if All for One hadn't gotten involved." Dabi sat back up looking at the rising smoke of the fire that was being put out. "Karma held all the power until that night in Kamino changed everything. That power hungry maniac broke her confidence, and at the same time maneuvered his way into Shigaraki's head. I really thought he was gonna kill us both."

"But he didn't… he chose to spare you both, and support Karma."

"I don't trust Shigaraki worth a spit. That guy has got his hooks deep inside Karma and he isn't letting go. Look how easily he was able to convince her to get rid of me… it's only a matter of time before he attempts to get her on board with his plans for world chaos and destruction. She'll either fall for it, or he'll outright kill her. Either way, Karma's plans for peace and happily ever after are doomed to fail."

"...and you're no longer there to protect her." Hawks focused his eyes on Dabi's face, the realization striking in those blue eyes.

"You're right… I'm not." Dabi fist his hands and lifted his chin. "And I should be."

"So…" Hawks gave him a cheeky grin. "What's the verdict? Have you finally decided what you wanna do?"

"Yeah…" Dabi stood up, his coat flapping from the high wind and he extended a hand to Hawks who took it and the two of them shook hands. "Guess this time I'm gonna have to play the hero."
