His eyes were pulsating, his mind was frozen, his heart was clenching and his mouth stood open.
As if she has never seen him before. As if she has forgotten about him.
"Hello, my name is Yuuma Amono, I am new in this town."
The same cute voice, the same innocent smile, she same tempting body.
Was she a victim just like him? Are they using her for their sick games to kill people?
Just yesterday they were on a date, then she vanished and another woman laughed at him before...
What happened?
There was this feather on his nightstand. A beautiful, long, black feather. Razor-sharp edges and blood on it like it was a used dagger.
But who's blood. Who gave him this feather. Did he pray to a God of death for the passing of someone?
Yuuma maybe knows something...
What if she had the same experience as he did? What if she managed to cope with the error in her mind? What if she doesn't want to be reminded of that?
Issei was in grief. His mind was spinning and spinning while he kept on loosing small bits of memories from his date with Yuuma.
His friends didn't remember her, no one did.
But one thing was safe.
She fell for him once, so he should be able to make her fall for him a second time.
His hands kept moving, his mind stayed a mess and his eyes were glued to the new student in their class who just sat down in the front row after politely greeting the neighbors.
A true angel...
All these lecherous eyes that were glued to her.
She felt like she could vomit any time. All of them, nothing but inferior maggots that have around 45 years of work ahead of them, then they life a few years as old people and die a pathetic death to cancer, a weak immune system or a heart attack.
Humans were truly the lowest race there was.
Even animals could sense the inhuman world around them, dogs could even see spirits of other realms due to a different color spectrum.
But humans couldn't see an translucent being when it's basically standing next to you and watching your hands.
What is Assassin looking at? He can barely read english, japanese would be out of his league.
What did Issei write that made Xerel curious? Why isn't Assassin moving?
No...
It was too late.
Two pairs of eyes were already looking directly at Assassin.
The light slightly bending around his body and his head looking over Issei's shoulder. These two students...
A girl with brown hair, yellow eyes and glasses.
A boy with an even darker shade of brown and glasses that reflected the light so, well that his eyes were conplelty covered by the sun.
They had to die.
No one remembers Assassin if seen.
But you technically only see his outlines, not himself and that burns itself into your memory.
The break.
Yuuma couldn't but sigh out in relief.
She looked around of a split second, only to detect sevaral problems.
Assassin just left the room, in a translucent state.
The girl that saw him followed him.
Issei was walking towards her as well as the boy who could see Assassin.
The muscles in her tights were already pressing her feet to the ground to make her stand up, but instead of following her partner, she was stopped by multiple new class mates.
Couples, close friends, introverts, loners and artists.
In school they all share one common trait. They all like to spend their break on the roof.
But not here.
Couples were rare at this school, close friends made clubs that they stayed in, introverts and loners were alone somewhere else and artists didn't have a great view from up there.
Assassin could only enjoy the fresh air on this roof.
No industry near the school, the town was small enough for students to walk to the school so cars were not a very popular choice, and the radiation level of this city was so low that Xerel enjoyed it.
"There you are!" A girl, yelled out as she saw Assassin sitting on the roof looking up in the sky. "Wait, I can see you."
Xerel just lifted his head with curiosity and looked at her.
Two wonderful yellow eyes looking directly through a pair of glasses into his golden eyes. "You just followed a guy that can turn invisible on the spot to a secluded area where we are alone?" He asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Well, you are handsome." Was the only response he received from the light-brown haired girl. "I am Aika, Aika Kiryuu." She introduced herself with a certain eagerness despite her face showing no kind of emotion expect boredom.
"I thank you for the compliment. It would only be fair to introduce myself too now, huh? Well, it depends on what you want thou. You want to forget me, or do you want to go a path with no return?" He asked while offering her a spot across of him.
"Well I take the one where I don't forget this. I saw a handsome boy being invisible. How does that work for you? Do you have to br completely naked for that?" She asked while Assassin raised his eye brows.
"I warned you." He said as he stood up politely and bowed in a charming manner. "My name is Xerel Orcus. I am the Assassin piece of Azazel."
The girl looked weird at him and sat down. "You don't have to bow. We know each other's names, we can simply ignore formality. So do you have to be naked or not?" She asked again this time with a grin.
"The formality rules of Penemue require me to bow in front of ladies I think are beautiful. Also no, I do not require to be exposed to turn myself invisible." He saw the girl turning red for a slight moment before she snapped her fingers and cursed.
She looked back at him, and then at his attire. It was weird to wear this as a teenager, or at any age group.
A greyish-brown sleeveless shirt with a ziplock to cover his chest. On his left shoulder a light brown cover with thorns growing out of it. He wore a scarf around his neck that matched the color of his hair and had a small leather belt over his right shoulder that was attached to a small brown back. Two small chains went around his waist to keep the bag from bouncing up and down.
He wore brown leather gloves that had a leather bracelet around them with a diamond shaped blue crystal decorating them.
He also had a bandage wrapped around his left forearm, indicating a possible injury.
Below his waist he wore brown pants that matched his shirt and royal looking brown leather boots that were made for stealth.
Xerel grew a bit uncomfortable after seeing the girls insane focused on his crotch, yet didn't show it to keep the conversation as normal as possible. "So what are you?" She asked, shaking Assassin out of his thoughts.
"Hmm, I really can't tell you that without knowing a big secret of yours." He spoke out with the girl looking up at him.
"I am still a virgin." Aika said out bluntly while Xerel clauses his eyes. "If you knew my school reputation, then I am sure you could destroy it." The girl spoke out while Xerel nodded.
He stood up and looked over the edge of the roof. "For today, I told you my name. Keep it a secret, and meet me tomorrow here at the same time and I grant you another secret." Just like that he vanished from her sight. No traces, just pure invisibility.
Then it hit her...
Xerel just turned invisible in front of her eyes...
Without showing any panic she slowly backed off and walked back into her classroom.
Assassin couldn't help himself, but smile. She was just a human after all.
He closed his eyes again to inhale the perfect fresh air only to let go of his invisibility and to show himself again. "You think I can't detect you based on your smell?" He asked sarcastically with a smile while turning around.
He never ceased to amaze her. "Is there something about me you would see in someone else?" Raynare couldn't help her curiosity.
She never knew why Assassin was feared by other grim reapers, but being able to distinguish souls by the smell was impossible for them.
"Everyone smells unique, even if it's just a small difference, it could change the taste drastically. I just happen to like your smell, so, much that I want to stay next to it for as long as I can, instead of eating the soul it belongs to." Xerel never looked back at her when he vanished again right before the bell of the break went off.
He wants to stay next to this scent? Did that mean that he liked her?
"I like you..." It was already too late. He was gone. She knew it.
"Yuuma?" The voice of the girl he was with earlier. No doubt this was her.
Lancer just turned around and saw the brown haired girl waving her hands at her. "Out teacher is a bit late, we can still get in the class room on time."
There were many ways a human could be determined as stupid, but visiting the spot you died at just a night before was on of the most stupidest things Assassin and Lancer have ever witnessed. "Please tell me this kid is not so stupid. Kalawarner would be glad to kill someone like him." Raynare spoke out while Xerel stood next to her.
"Kala...warner... The blue haired woman? Wasn't she a minion of your father who uses her as a..." Xerel couldn't finish the sentence when he saw Issei, jumping away from a light spear.
A jump that was impossible for a mere human.
"A whore to recruit fallen angels directly from heaven. She really fell hard after I left to become Lancer." Raynare said as she was about to walk out of the shadows.
A soft and warm hand on her arm stopped her in her track.
They promised to be professional when they are working, so why couldn't she blend out her emotions? "Kalawarner knows you, but she forgot me seven times already. I will go." Assassin spoke as he walked passed Raynare right into the light of the moon.
Be careful...
She wanted to scream it, but he pride wouldn't let her.
She was born a fallen angel, but even if she wasn't one, she would fall a hundred times from heaven just for one of his smiles.
Xerel just stood there, not moving and waiting for Issei to run right into him.
His predictions were correct. The moment Issei bumbed into the chest of the scared boy, four pitch black wings engulfed him, blocking the strike of a light spear.
"Back off, Kokabiel's sex Muppet." Xerel spoke as he opened his wings and let go of Issei. "Stay and you will die, Kalawarner."
"You know my name?" The woman asked back as she let her new light spear vanish in thin air again.
"Your former team leader and I are close." Xerel answered with a slight grin.
This answer led the blue haired fallen angel to for another light spear. "So you are the guy she is dating? What a pathetic sight! Purple hair in a pony tail? What are you? A transexual!?" She yelled out with a laugh and therew the spear directly at Assassin.
The sound of a lightning clashing with the earth erupted and Kalawarner just stayed shocked there. Her spear was repelled into the ground and completely destroyed, yet the spear in Raynare's hand wasn't showing a single crack.
"You are weak!" The black haired Lancer yelled as she threw her crimson red spear directly at her former subordinate. "Insult him one more time and I won't hesitate killing you on the spot, whore." Raynare hissed with rage flowing through her face and her teeth sharpened.
Kalawarner just stood there with a red spear piercing her leg. "You traitor! Kokabiel won't forgive you, you stupid bitch!" She yelled out before she felt a hand from behind her grabbing her throat and lifting her up.
"He won't, because he is a bad father. But he certainly won't forgive you for failing." The woman choked for air while her legs twitched above the ground.
Issei was just shaking from the display of their raw powers and after seeing Assassin lifting someone up with one hand, he couldn't belive what was going on in front of him.
Xerel just used his other hand to cover Kalawarner's mouth and then, twisted her head to the left, making Issei twitch after he heard a bone crack and saw the blue haired fallen angel drop dead on the ground. "You didn't have to kill her." Lancer spoke out as she looked at Xerel holing Kalawarner's soul in his hands and ripping her shin away from the body before sealing it into his book.
"So the troubling fallen angel in this territory have been dealt with?" A new voice asked, causing Issei, Xerel and Raynare to turn around. "My name is Rias Gremory of House Gremory. I understand that you two had good intentions when coming here?" The red haired devil asked as she stood there proudly with her Peerage behind her.
"We came to help erasing the existence of trouble makers." Xerel spoke out while biting into the lower leg of Kalawarner's soul and to the displeasure of almost everyone present, chewing on the bit before swallowing it. "I am Assassin, this is my partner Lancer. We are fallen angels under the command of Azazel, and only here to help, unlike this one here." He explained as he pointed toward the corpse on the ground.
"I am not fond of the idea, but it might be a great idea if we work together." Much to Xerel's surprise, Raynare acted polite while he saw the devil girl nodding.
"I agree with you on this point. You can find us in the old school building next to the academy. If you want an answer then, be so kind to visit us tomorrow. I will have to leave now. Thanks for your help Assassin and Lancer." The girl spoke with a smile and turned around, leaving the two fallen angels alone.
Xerel just smiled and turned to Raynare. "Someone is very protective of my reputation." Raynare just smiled proudly of herself only to feel a pair of warm lips on her cheek.
Her eyes froze in place as well as her body. Her heartbeat sky rocket and her cheeks turned red almost immediately.
"I would do the same thing for you if your wouldn't take so much pleasure from torturing your victims."
