3. Chapter 3 : A Trip to Boston

Iron Man Father and Son

This story takes place in an Alternate universe where Tony Stark had a kid who followed along with his adventures from the time that he graduated from M.I.T at 18. This story takes place post Endgame however the timeline got restored due to Tony's son making some changes.

Chapter 3: A Trip to Boston

Once they were on their way to Boston Peter asked Tyler what it was like being a teenage college student? "

Tyler though about it for a moment and said "it was a lot harder for me because I was always the youngest in any class. Although I had friends like Jason who looked at me as being a little brother too, especially with the fraternity that I joined."

Peter then said, "wow they let you join one then?"

Tyler replied "yeah I know it is kind of crazy to think about. It was the same one my dad was in too."

Peter replied, "wow that's kind of cool."

Tyler then said, "yeah it's funny to think that I was in my sophomore year when I was your age."

Peter replied, "that's pretty cool too." Peter then asked, "um can I ask you something?"

Tyler replied, "sure what do you want to know?"

Peter then asked, "ok so if you could, would you have wanted to go to high school instead of going to college?"

Tyler replied "yeah but the thing is until I got to M.I.T. I was always smarter than everyone else in the room. I could do calculus and algebra by the time I was 5. Sure, if I were just an average kid I would have loved to. When I did go to elementary school teachers couldn't deal with me, my dad ended up getting touters for me until I could get into M.I.T at 14."

Peter replied, "wow that I can kind of understand like for example as I said to your dad, I can't play on the football team because I don't want to show off my powers too much."

Tyler needed and said, "yeah exactly although when I show off with older adults, they don't tend to like it so much either."

Tyler then though about the first time he had walked into Pepper's office in the New York tower when they had moved in.

Tyler walked into the office of the C.E.O. of Stark Industries it was shortly after the had sated to move to New York and the renovations to the Stark tower had been done. Pepper had just placed her diploma on a shelf when he walked in and said, "oh wow I never knew you went to Harvard."

Pepper replied, "yeah I went to the school of business there, to be honest though when I graduated, I never thought I would be the C.E.O. of a major corporation."

Tyler looked at it closer and said "wow you graduated the year I was in my freshman year at M.I.T."

Pepper looked at him and said, "really I didn't know that." She then added, "you know you do seem a bit familiar now I remember some friends of mine brought me to this show and a singing group from M.I.T. was at it and I remember them sing some really silly song, and there was a guy that looked a bit like you that sang something about going to hell."

Tyler then said, "ah that probably sounds like the engineers drinking song or the Lady Godiva Hymn."

Pepper then said, "yeah they did say it was drinking song."

Tyler added "and I think the line you mean is "A M.I.T. surveyor once found the gates of Hell. He looked the devil in the eye, and said, "You're looking well" The devil looked right back at him and said "why visit me – you've been through Hell already; you went to M.I.T."

Pepper laughed and said, "that does sound silly when you think about it."

Tyler then said, "yeah it is a bit of an exaggeration but M.I.T. is pretty hard although so is Harvard too I know we make fun of them a lot, but I did take some English classes there because I didn't find any, I found challenging enough at M.I.T."

Pepper replied "that was always something so interesting that they did that allowing cross school classes, although I didn't really ever want to take any classes at M.I.T I did walk over there a few times. I remember one time watching them drop a piano off a roof once."

Tyler replied, "yeah its' a tradition on drop day at Baker house. Apparently the original one was dropped because they had some broken pianos that they wanted to get rid of."

Pepper then said, "honestly you guys are just odd like with the marching "band"."

Tyler then said, "hey don't make fun of the M.I.T. band I was a drummer in it, it's pretty much an open band to anyone who wants to play in it, it's kind of an engineering thing that we don't take it to seriously so that's one of the reasons why we wear capes and engineer hats, but we did practice a couple of times a week."

Pepper replied, "I understand that completely it's just that you guys made it look like you weren't organized."

Tyler replied, "which actually requires more organization. It's what's called a scramble band. We kind of do it on purpose as It's more fun that way. We also do silly things like having a beach day at a football game and spend the game in bathing suits and stay in the long jump pit."

Peter then asked, "so where you on any sports teams or something like that."

Tyler replied "yeah I was on the rowing team, I was also in the band and the corollaries. All of them took up most of my free time so I tended to stay out of too much trouble. Although I did help in a few hacks too though."

Peter then asked, "what do you mean by hacks like hacking into a computer?"

Tyler replied "yes but there were some other ones too. At M.I.T. pranks are known as hacks."

Peter then said, "ok so is it true that your dad hacked into the Pentagon when he was there."

Tyler replied "yes and I did too. To be honest as fun as that challenge is not worth the trouble it causes. One of the most fun hacks I helped on was when a group of us went to Cal Tech and stole their Canon."

Peter replied, "wait you stole a Canon?"

Tyler replied, "yeah we dressed up as a moving company called 'how and sir'. Getting it out of the college wasn't the biggest problem though it was getting it to Boston. Originally we had planned to drive however I ended up calling my dad to help arrange a cargo plane."

Peter then said, "did you guys get arrested for it?"

Tyler replied "well since it did end up being disclosed as a prank or hack and Cal Tech did end up coming to get it back. We actually had a party when they did out on the lawn with hot dogs and burgers."

Peter then said "wow that sounds kind of fun though. Have you ever been arrested though?"

Tyler replied "yeah once when I was 18 just beginning graduation a few of us were at a party and they slipped me some drinks. I got kind of drunk, and we got put in the drunk tank overnight. My dad ended up picking me up the next morning as he was in town for my graduation. He got everything sorted out and gave me a lecture on underage drinking and made me promise too never do it again. Then he took me to breakfast and let me crash in his hotel room after I took some Tylenol. Him and his friend James Rhodes took my key card and went to my dorm room well I was sleeping and got me a change of clothes along with my shower stuff so I could shower when I woke up."

Peter then said, "wow I'm not really sure what my Aunt May would do if she caught me drinking but it probably wouldn't end up like that."

Tyler replied "yeah probably not. I think that if Pepper were there, it would have been way different then that and I would have gotten a bigger lecture from her."

Peter then said, "she does seem to be like a mother to both you and Mr. Stark."

Tyler replied "yeah definitely. I sometimes joke with her and my dad that me and him would probably be dead without her because of something stupid that we came up with. At the same time, she puts up with a lot and defends me and my dad with stuff to do with the board of directors. Like for example the time that I was at a meeting with them, and I was dressed kind of like I am now and one of the board members had a problem with it. Pepper actually defended me and said it shouldn't mater what I had on as I was one of the majority shareholders and the head of a department."

Peter then said, "it's funny I don't really think of you and your dad as being in charge of the company, but I guess you guys are."

Tyler replied "yeah my dad used to be the CEO but he put Pepper in charge so we could spend time working on Iron Man suits and Avengers related stuff. Jason who is my business partner pretty much looks after the day-to-day stuff but we're starting to get more and more clients and we need to hire some more employees which is one of the reasons I'm going to Boston this weekend."

Peter then said, "plus I think you want to show me M.I.T. too."

Tyler replied "yeah."

Peter then said, "I know this sounds odd but sometimes Ms. Pots almost seems like she's a mother to you and Mr. Stark."

Tyler replied "yeah she is I know I said that we would probably be dead without her sometimes and I mean it. I remember one time just after my dad hired her, I was 16 and was home from school for winter break and I wasn't feeling well, and my stomach hurt. I pretty much stayed on the couch all day for two days, she came in and said, "Tony I really think we need to get Tyler to a hospital I don't think he looks to good." Once I got there, they did some teats on me and found out that I had appendicitis and rushed me into surgery."

Peter then asked, "wow you've had a lot of surgeries then."

Tyler replied "yeah I've had a few. Let's see I had my cochlear implants put in at 2 my tonsils removed at 14, I had a burn graft at 13, my appendix removed at 16, whatever was done to me in Afghanistan at 18, my leg cut off at 18, surgery to remove the shrapnel from my heart at 21 and then I had knee surgery at 23."

Peter then said, "wow that's a lot I've only had my tonsils removed when I was 10."

Tyler replied, "cool I had them out because I didn't want to have to deal with getting strep throat at M.I.T. when I was on my own as I used to get it once or twice a year when I was younger."

Peter then said, "yeah same with me too."

Peter then said, "so does M.I.T. have a school fight song?"

Tyler replied "we have a couple of them one is what we call the beaver call, and we use it for sports and stuff for something to call out. Then there's what's called the Engineer's drinking song or the Lady Godiva Hymn and it's pretty much an engineering tradition that all engineers and engineering schools around the world have verses for."

Peter then said, "that's kind of cool have you ever visited any other schools?"

Tyler replied, "yeah sometimes we would go to some away games with the band and with the rowing team and the coral group I was in too."

Tyler then told Peter about a trip that they had made one year in November of his sophomore year to Toronto to hang out with the University of Toronto Engineers and their Band.

-* Flashback *-*

Tyler was 15 and he was on his first trip to Canada it was also his first time flying on a non private jet. His friend Jason was beside him and said, "so are you nervous about flying?"

Tyler replied, "nah I've been to Europe and also flown across the country a few times with my dad and by myself although this is my first time on a commercial flight."

Jason than did "it's funny sometimes I forget that you're a billionaire's son until you say something like that. Don't worry I'll help you navigate the airport when we land."

Tyler replied, "thanks and yeah I know my life is pretty different then everyone else on board this pane."

A few hours later they had landed in Toronto and made their way through customs they picked up their bags and their instruments that they had to check for oversized baggage. They then made their way to the hotel that they would be staying at well they were there. They had been invited by one of the more senior members of the bands cousin who was an engineer at the University of Toronto (U. Of T.) and one of the leaders of their marching band.

After checking in to the hotel and dropping off their bags in their rooms they made their way to the engineering school at U. of T. When they arrived outside of the engineering building, they were greeted by a group of students wearing hard hats that had been decorated and blue hockey jerseys that had the logo of the band on it which was a lady on a horse with the words "lady Godiva Memorial marching Bnad" on it with the word band misspelled on purpose on it. There was also another group dressed all in black with a small canon chained to them. Tyler joked "I wonder if that's a precaution in case we decide to steal it like we did with Cal techs."

One of the leaders introduced himself and welcomed them to U. Of T. and the engineering building before he commented on what Tyler had said "no we always keep our canon chained up although it is impressive that you managed to take another schools canon."

One of the older guys who had also been in on the heist said, "yeah it was lot bigger than yours though we did give it back to them a few months after we took it though when Cal Tech came for it."

After they made some more introductions, the M.I.T. band picked up their instruments and joined them in playing as they made their way into the engineering building, playing the Lady Godiva Hymn. Once they got inside, they made their way to the center of the room and took turns doing some verses of the song each school taking a verse that was specific to their school. They had a god laugh at some of the M.I.T. specific ones like one about someone's parents paying for their education and hearing about the school being a place of debauchery but the student saying they had never herd of sex because they were an engineer.

After that two of the U. Of T. leaders in their band did ceremonies to promote other band members to higher ranks with very silly promises. After that they gave the floor to the M.I.T. students who said that they had a ceremony of their ow to do. First, they started out by doing the beaver call. One of the older students called out "I'm a beaver. The others called in response "you're a beaver we are beavers all. And when we get together, we do the beaver call! E to the U du dx, E to the X, dx. Cosine, secant, tangent, sine, 3 point 1 4 1 5 9. Integral, radical, mu, dv, slipstick, slide rule, MIT! Go TECH!"

After that, the drum major for the M.I.T band called Tyler forward and asked him "what's your current rank?"

Tyler replied, "drum ass sir."

He then asked him "are you ready for a promotion?"

Tyler replied, "sir yes sir."

Tyler was then asked to put down what they called the drum of shame which was a marching snare drum they had made a harness for out of ropes rather then the normal harness other members wore that were in the percussion section that carried drums. After that the U. Of. T. guys called out that Tyler should drop his pants of shame as well just like the two people in their ceremony had done. Tyler looked around and dropped his shorts that he had on, he now had on only a pair of boxer shorts and an M.I.T. marching band shirt he then stood up on a chair and was given an engineer's cap like the ones that the rest of the band wore and told to put it over his heart. He put it over his chest before he was told to put it over his other heart and moved it to his crotch, he then made a very silly pledge to that band with him repainting everything that person said including clearing his throat and things like stop repeating me and not that. Afterwards he was given a beer and told to drink it well everyone sang a silly song about him and how he was useless and questioning why he was born at all, it ended with a chant of drink mother f, drink mother f until he finished his beer. Afterwards he whispered to the band leader asking if he knew that it was real beer. One of the U. Of T. guys who had provided it said, "what were you expecting something else?" Tyler had also been presented with a set of tenor drums that had a symbol and a cow bell on that he had been trained on for the previous few months and a cape was put on him.

Tyler replied that he was underage which everyone decided to turn a blind eye too. The truth was it wasn't the first time that Tyler had a beer, there had been one time after his freshman year when Tony had decided to run some tests on him and had gotten him drunk on beer and then a few weeks after on hard alcohol. Tony had said it was to teach him what a hangover was like, but he had also said that it was research to see how alcohol affected his teenage son.

After the ceremonies they did some marching practice to figure out how they wanted to organize themselves for the parade they would be in the next day as they would be marching in Toronto's annual Santa Claus parade. The M.I.T. band was no stranger to parades as they did a few of them in Boston every year as well as marching around campus and even sometimes into Harvard for the once-a-year tradition of playing during the break after the third quarter of the Harvard vs. Yale game.

Peter then asked "so, um did you drink a lot when you were in college? I know you said that you got arrested once for being drunk but was that the only time."

Tyler replied, "I actually tried my best to avoid alcohol when I could although there were a few times when I did end up getting handed a drink and I'd usually only have the one, but that would be my limit. Unlike with coffee."

Once they arrived in Cambridge, they saw a crowd gathering around one of the buildings and peter asked if he knew what it was for. Tyler locked up at the top of the building and said, "oh wow I guess it's drop day today." He then explained how the students in one of the dorms would drop a piano off the top of the building on the day that was the last day to drop cases without penalty. Peter asked, "what why would they do that?"

Tyler replied "well the first time was because they had some broken pianos in the dorm that were easier to get rid of if they were in pieces, so they took one up to the roof and dropped it.

They parked the car near by and made their way over and arrived just in time for it start the first thing that happened was a garbage can with a H painted on it with confetti inside and they announced that they were taking out the garbage before beginning a countdown from 25. After the crowed reached 1 the piano was pushed off the ramp at the top of the building and fell on the lawn.

Peter turned to Tyler and said, "wow that was kind of cool."

Tyler replied, "yeah it is."

Just then Jason and Connor walked over to them. Jason then said, "perfect timing as usual Tyler."

Tyler smiled and said "yeah I did always end up arriving just in time for it didn't I."

Connor then said, "well it makes sense if you like to sleep in and you have to walk across the campus to get to it."

Just then a young woman about Tyler's age was looking at him. He quickly asked J.A.R.V.I.S. if she was somebody he knows or should know about. J.A.R.V.I.S. let him know that her name was Taylor Simons and was a Harvard business student that was a reporter for the Harvard review. As she approached Tyler also saw some more information about her as he began to feel as if he had some sort of connection to her but couldn't figure it out. He saw that her birthday was the day after his and the same year and asked J.A.R.V.I.S. to forward all information on get to his email to review later. Taylor Simons approached Tyler and asked, "interesting to find Tyler Stark at M.I.T. are you here to make some sort of announcement?"

Tyler replied, "no but I am here on business purposes to discuss something with my business partner." He then asked, "can I ask you who you are and why you are approaching me."

Taylor replied "I'm a reporter for the Harvard review and I'm just curious about what you are here for. Plus, I'm scheduled to do an interview with Ms. Pots the C.E.O. later this week, so I was wondering if she sent you ahead of her."

Tyler replied "Pepper doesn't inform me about what she does unless it concerns me directly. To be honest most of the time I tend to stay in the Lab with my dad." Tyler then added "I'll answer one more question and anything else can be sent to my assistant who will forward them to me."

Taylor replied, "who's the young man with you?"

Tyler replied, "he's my dad's intern and I'm showing him around my Alma Mater." Taylor was about to ask something else when Tyler said, "that's it I'm done I'm busy and I need to get some things done a limited time to do it." Taylor walked away as she got the sense that Tyler Stark was just like his father Tony Stark and just as stubborn about things as him. Taylor had been born at the same hospital as Tyler but a day later as far as she knew she had never known who her parents were as her mom had died around the time she was born, and she had ended up being raised by one of the nurses at the hospital and her partner who had adopted her.

Tyler then turned to Jason and Connor and said, "I'm going to check into my hotel with Peter if you guys want to join me, we can walk over to Connor's dorm and he can show us around if he wants to."

Connor replied, "yeah sure I think you might be surprised because I apparently have one of the rooms that you and my dad shared."

Tyler and Jason had spent all four years of their time in Simmons's Hall and had shared rooms together as Tyler was underage and had to room with an older student and Jason was the only one who had volunteered to stay with him after their freshman year.

When they got to Tyler's car Peter and Connor got in the back seats well Jason took the front. Peter then said, "it was interesting how you handled the reporter."

Connor then said, "yeah it was smooth but cocky at the same time."

Tyler replied "my dad taught me how to handle the press and to always maintain control of the room and what gets said. That's why I only gave her three questions and then said that if she had anymore my assistant would pass them on to me."

Jason then said, "it always amazes me how you can do that."

Tyler replied, "well it's part of being a Stark and a billionaire you need to know when and what you want the public to know something."

Peter then said "like for example making public that you're a superhero like Iron Man."

Tyler replied, "yeah or my dad proposing to Pepper."

Jason then said, "you know it's funny I think I remember seeing somewhere that that was supposed to be something about the Avengers and not what it turned out to be."

Tyler then said, "it was but that announcement has been put on hold." Peter of course knew what he meant by it as it was supposed to be one where he was officially becoming an Avenger.

Connor then said to Peter "so since you know Tyler have you met any of met any of the Avengers?"

Peter decided to lie a little bit even though he had met them he hadn't seen any of them other then Tony and Tyler for awhile and said, "um no they're at a base in up state New York now and I haven't really seen any of them around Stark tower other than Tyler and Mr. Stark."

Connor then said, "I guess they're kind of cool although I think it would be interesting to meet the black widow or the scarlet witch."

Tyler then said, "um the black widow is pretty something although she's in a relationship with Dr. Bruce Banner right now and the scarlet witch is kind of young plus, she doesn't know a lot of English."

Connor then said, "yeah I guess that makes sense Iron Man is cool too and so was that Spider guy that helped them out in Germany."

Peter smiled at the last part, but no one noticed as he was looking out the window.

Once they arrived at the hotel Tyler parked the car and then they checked in and left their bags in the room it was a large room. Jason had said that it was the presidential suite when they had gone up to it however it was smaller than the room that Peter had shared with Happy in Germany.

After Peter and Tyler left their stuff in the room, they walked back to the M.I.T. campus and towards a weirdly shipped building with lots of windows in it. Peter looked at it and said, "wow this is an odd building."

Tyler replied "yes, it is but it is kind of interesting too like how some hallways are only certain floors and sometimes you need to go down to go to somewhere that you would think would be easy to get to."

Connor then said, "sometimes architecture students and architects come to see it and we give them special tours."

Tyler laughed and said, "oh yeah I remember doing that sometimes." Tyler then explained that they would lock them on one of the exterior patios as you needed an M.I.T. key card to get back in the doors, it was much like how Stark tower functioned with certain key cards giving access to certain floors.

They all went inside, and Connor showed them around the main floor before he took them up to his room. It was a double room that he shared with his roommate J.T. On J.T.'s side of the room there was a poster of Tyler's Iron Man suit he could tell the difference between his and his dad's suits as his dad's was red and yellow like one of his hot rod cars well Tyler had gone with a red and steal look that was closer to M.I.T.'s colours. Tyler liked to embrace his alma mater a fair bit more than his dad did. Tyler then said, "what do you think he would say if I signed it?"

Just then J.T. came in and said, "who's signing what?"

Tyler turned to see a cute looking guy who had on a pair of red, black, and white military print cargo shorts, a t shirt with M.I.T. spelled out as equations a pair of red checkerboard vans on his feet with ankle socks, he also had long read hair that was curly and pulled back into a lose ponytail and had piercing green eyes. J.T. also had braces on his teeth with red and grey brackets, and cochlear implants like Tyler did too. Tyler then said, "I was joking about signing your Iron Man poster."

J.T. looked at him and said, "oh god Tyler Stark is in my room."

Tyler then said, "its ok just breathe I'm just a normal guy ok."

J.T. took a deep breath and then said, "I guess you're right but I'm just a bit nervous meeting you." He then stuck out his hand and said "I'm J.T. Murphy"

Tyler shock it and said, "I'm Tyler Stark but you probably know that already."

Tyler and J.T. were awkwardly staring at each other. J.T. then said, "um I know I just met but would it be wired if I said that I've wanted to meet you for the longest time."

Tyler replied, "nah to be honest nothing is wired to me anymore." Tyler was of course thinking about all the things that had happened since he had first dawned an Iron Man suit all the way back in a cave in Afghanistan when him and his dad had used them to escape a terrorist group that was holding them hostage.

J.T. then said, "um if you want to you can sign my poster." He then grabbed a sharpie marker from his desk and handed it to Tyler.

Tyler took it and signed it he then saw a blank sheet of paper on the desk and wrote his number and put call or text me.

J.T. looked at it and smiled and said as he sent Tyler a message that just said his name "are you serious about that?"

Tyler replied "yes I am." As he put J.T.'s number into his phone. Tyler then said, "I'll admit I think I have a crush on you right now."

J.T. replied "oh wow that's cool cause I do too. I've had one on you for a while though especially since I found out that you were deaf and your um…"

Tyler then said, "differently abled."

J.T. replied "yeah I'm deaf and I was born with minor cerebral palsy, it pretty much only affects my left hand and leg and foot."

Tyler then said, "I haven't had a left foot for a while now." Tyler said that as joke as he had his left leg amputated below his knee.

J.T. then said, "I've never thought about getting anything amputated."

Tyler replied "that's good and if I'm making you feel uncomfortable just let me know and I'll back off. I know sometimes I get flirty sometimes when I get a certain vibe from a guy."

J.T. replied "actually I kind of like it I've never had anyone I've had a crush on flirt with me before."

Tyler then said, "cool then maybe we could spend some time together then."

J.T. replied "yeah that would be great."

Jason then said, "it's been a while since I've seen Tyler nervous around a guy."

Tyler replied, "yeah well most of the guys that I crushed on here were either older than me or freshmen."

J.T. replied "I guess that makes sense because you were here as a teenager."

Tyler replied, "yeah and me and Jason here actually came up with a business plan here in this very room."

J.T. replied "oh wow who had which bed?"

Tyler replied "um I think I had yours and Jason had Connors' side of the room. We had this room in Junior and Senior years."

Jason looked around and said "yeah I remember this room. I remember meeting your dad and his friend in here one morning, they came in to find you some clothes as it had been the day after you got put in the drunk tank."

Tyler replied, "oh wow I know that they took my key card too get in, but I guess they must have come across you."

Jason replied 'yeah I came in and they were trying to figure out which side of the room was yours. So, I pointed out to them where your stuff was."

J.T. then said, "wait you mean Tony Stark was in this room too?"

Tyler laughed and said, "yeah but only to get me some clothes well I slept off a hangover in a hotel room in Boston."

Jason then said, "you know I'm amazed that you didn't have any charges or get in any serous trouble for getting drunk underage."

Tyler replied "well it helps if your Dad is Tony Stark and can get out of pretty much anything by being smarter then everyone else in the room. I know I do that too sometimes. Sometimes it's easier with some people more then others. Then you get the ones who actually understand what you are talking about."

Peter and Jason both understood what they meant as they both had been around Tony and Tyler when they were discussing something with themselves or someone else.

J.T. then said, "I noticed that Tyler always has on M.I.T. shirts most of the time have you ever had anything funny happen about it?"

Tyler replied, "a few times when I went to a summer camp in the summer."

Peter then said, "wait you went to a summer camp?"

Tyler replied "yeah I did a search online for summer camps when I was 14 for some. I told my dad that I was thinking about it because I wanted to see what it was like to be around teens my own age."

J.T. then said, "oh wow that's cool what was that like?"

Tyler grabbed J.T.'s desk chair and sat down well he said "it was pretty fun. Usually, the first day when I'd meet my cabin mates, they would ask why I had an M.I.T. shirt on, and from time to time when I'd meet up with kids and councillors from other cabins they would ask too. I know a lot of people like to buy shirts from Harvard when they visit Boston but an M.I.T. shirt is a bit different."

Jason then said, "yeah I've seen some people at my younger sisters' school with them on."

J.T. replied "yeah I remember seeing people who looked too young to have them too. I think that's one of the reasons why I like to wear M.I.T. shirts. I remember one time when I was at my dad's office getting my braces worked on and I had on an M.I.T. shirt and a guy came in with a Harvard shirt on. I asked him if he went there. He said no but his mom wants him to and he got the shirt when he did a campus tour. He looked at mine and asked about M.I.T., so I told him about it a little bit and I let him know that he could take courses at both if he wanted to."

Tyler replied, "yeah that's something that I did I took some English classes at Harvard."

J.T. replied "yeah so do I. I have an odd mix of first- and second-year classes here and there too. I started out at Harvard with my twin brother, but I took some physics classes here and I wanted to take more so I transferred after my first year at Harvard. I'm taking physics and biological engineering here this term and the fall term I had computer sciences and English at Harvard."

Tyler replied, "oh wow that's cool so um how old are you?"

J.T. replied "I'm 21 which is one of the reasons why I got put with Connor. My twin brother and I took a year off after we graduated from high school and went to Europe and worked for a bit too when we got back. We started at Harvard together, but I found out that I liked M.I.T. more and found that the classes I took here more challenging plus I decided to change what I wanted to do rather than do whatever with a degree from Harvard."

Tyler then said "that's cool if you want, I can see if we have anywhere in Stark industries that we fit you in."

J.T. replied "oh wow that would be cool I've kind of thought it would be cool to work their. I've kind of thought that I'd like to work on stiff like artificial limbs and stuff like cochlear implants."

Tyler replied "oh yeah that would be great. I could talk to my dad and see what we can do as of right now I know we're working with a company that makes them to develop something like the one I have that can be mass-produced."

J.T. smiled and said, "that would be awesome, but I want to finish school first."

Tyler replied, "that's no problem at all we can get you a grant and help out any way you want just get in touch with my assistant and tell him you talked with me." Tyler handed him one of his business cards. He then handed one to Connor and said "if you want to talk about an internship program or a job with your dad and me let me know too."

Connor replied, "wow thanks I honestly haven't really thought about it yet but that would be kind of cool."

Tyler then said to J.T. "so you have a twin brother who goes to Harvard do you guys ever fight with each other."

J.T. replied "we used to when we were younger but not for a while. We like to joke around with each other sometimes about our schools. In high school he looked out for me a lot because I sometimes had difficulties because of my cerebral palsy but I'm pretty good now. For our birthday before we first went away to school, he got me a really cool massager that helps me a lot."

Tyler replied, "that's cool I don't really have any siblings at least as far as I know."

Everyone laughed at that except for Peter who asked "what do you mean by that? "

Tyler then said "before Pepper my dad used to have a lot of girlfriends from time to time. It's possible that I could have another sibling but no one has ever come forward."

Peter then said, "ah ok I get it."

J.T. decided to join them when they went on a tour of the campus. Him and Connor enjoyed hearing about what Tyler and Jason had gotten up to well they were there as did Peter. Peter found it interesting when they went to the Harvard bridge and saw how it had been marked, both J.T. and Connor talked about the night that they had done it which reminded Tyler and Jason of their time when they were marking smoots on the bridge. Tyler explained to Peter that a smoot was a made-up measurement that was based on a guy who was the shortest pledge with the funniest sounding name. He then went on to explain how the fraternity that they had been in would do it once or twice a year depending on if the paint wore off, he also explained about the length being 364.4 smoots give or take an ear.

After that they went over to the museum that they had set up some of the hacks. Tyler noticed an article that had been published about the canon heist from Cal Tech he noticed that they hadn't mentioned him in it, nor that Tony Stark and Stark industries had been involved in the logistics of moving it across the county they instead covered and said that they had gone to a company that moved props for movies around. Ther was also a water fountain that had a fire house and fire hydrant connected to it and the water cam out of the fire house there was an article talking about how a former dean of M.IT. had said that going to M.I.T. was like drinking from a fire house so a group of students had literally done tat with a drinking fountain.

After their tour Jason asked Tyler and Peter if they had any plans for dinner before he asked them if they wanted to join his family for dinner. Conor said that he would join them J.T. declared as he had gotten a text from his brother about something that he wanted to talk to him about. Instead of driving to Jasons condo they took the T which was Boston's subway system.

After dinner Tyler and Peter made their way back to the hotel in Cambridge. Both had an early day the day before and fell asleep quickly that night.
