Chapter 3: Misunderstood Meetings: Part 1!
The Loud House was empty as Lincoln and his younger sisters, Lola, Lana, Lisa, Lily and Lucy walked inside and closed the door, the sisters went up to their rooms to do there own thing. Lincoln made sure to lock it when the his five younger sisters walked in before sitting down on the couch.
He didn't see Hilda after homeroom, and if he was being completely honest, he thought it was good that he didn't see the blue haired beauty again. All he could think about during his school was that kiss on the cheek she gave... and how nice it felt.
Because of that, he was daydreaming at least once during every class, much to the various teacher teaching the class he was in and his friend's concern. He managed to get a hold of himself and focus on the subject in his class rather then who know who. He told them every time that happened that he was fine and that his mind was somewhere else.
After school, Clyde, Stella, Rusty, Zach, and Liam decided to confront him on what happened in the various classes they were all in.
He told them about the kiss that Hilda gave him, and he didn't know what to make of it. When asked why, he said that while it did feel nice he didn't know if Hilda liked him and did that, or she just did it because he saved her from those robbers when he became Grimace for the first time. Stella said that he was overthinking it and that he should think about his feelings about it first before seeing Hilda again and talking to her about it.
And he was planning how to do that as he then walked home with his little sisters.
*CRASH!*
His thought process was interrupted as he heard something land roughly just outside of his house.
"Huh?" Lincoln said as he sprung up from the couch and immediately ran to the door. Opening it, he stepped outside.
Once he was outside, his eyes widened in shock at what he saw.
In some kind of makeshift crater, laid an unconscious teenage boy, no older than Lincoln himself, and there was a sword and basket hat on his person.
But that wasn't even the strangest that Lincoln saw...
There was a big, mystical blue colored, portal that was in the sky above the unconscious boy.
"Oh man, I don't know why that portal is here, but I better get him inside before anything else comes out of that thing." Lincoln said as he rushed towards the unconscious Jack before he wrapped his arms around the unconscious teen's torso and using a lot of his strength, began to pull him towards his house.
Just then, Lisa and the rest of his sisters came rushing out of the house.
"What was-" Lisa began to say before seeing Lincoln. "Lincoln, what are you doing?"
"No time to explain everything, help me get this guy inside the house!" Lincoln said urgently to his sisters.
His sisters all nodded and rushed over to him and picked him up by his various parts of his body
"Is that a magical portal?" Lucy asked, picking up by the boy by his right leg.
"Yeah."
"I think so." Lincoln said, unsure of the portal begin of magic of technological origin.
"Pshaw, Lucy." Lisa began as she pick up Jack's left arm, much to Lincoln's annoyance. "It is obviously an anomaly. Clearly scientific in nature."
"Hey, hey, focus you two!" Lincoln said, not wanting the genius and goth of his family to begin bickering when something more dire was happening at the moment. "Look, you two can wonder about where that portal came from later. Right now, whoever this guy is..." Lincoln said as he gestured to Jack. "needs our help. So I expect you all are help me with this, maybe we can get some answers from him, understand?"
His sisters agreed to help Lincoln with this unconscious stranger as they dragged him inside their house. Unknown to him and his sisters, the portal hasn't disappeared.
Also, him and his sisters weren't the only ones who saw the portal come out of seemingly nowhere...
Royal Woods High...
Sunset and Jack were in math class with the three Loud sisters, and while they were working hard on the outside on the inside, they were rather bored all things considered. For some weird reason, they kept thinking about their dreams from last night.
Suddenly, the whole classroom heard something come from outside, causing all of the students in there to freeze up before slowly turning their heads like someone in a horror movie.
They were all shocked to see the portal in the sky, seemingly above the Franklin 1612 Avenue.
"Where did that thing come from?" Jack asked.
"I don't know, but I think that's the destiny our dreams told us about." Sunset said.
"Looks like it's coming from our neighborhood you guys." Luna said, pointing at the portal hovering over what she thinks is her family's neighborhood.
"Then what are we doing just standing here?" Luan asked, ready to tackle whatever comes out of that portal and threatens her family. "Let's get home and get some answers."
"Yeah!" Leni said, agreeing with her comedic sister. "Our family could, like totes, be in danger."
"Whoa, whoa, girls." a German accented, no eyebrows having, rather skinny woman said as she stood up from her desk. "I appreciate you all wanting to save your family, but you can't just leave during school hours. I could get fired for this."
Jack and the group of girls would shocked to hear what they just heard. Their family could be in possible danger and she's worried about losing her job ? Has she gone absolutely mental that she's not seeing the bigger picture.
"You're missing the bigger picture, teach." Luna said with a hint of anger in her voice.
"I'm standing by my decision, Luna." The teacher said. "I'm really sorry."
In response to this, Luna grabbed her backpack and swung it around a few times before chucking at the window, the glass breaking into pieces.
Without a second thought, the wannabe rockstar then jump out of the classroom onto a beginning to leave garbage truck.
"Luna!" was her sisters, her new friends, and her teacher's reaction.
"Wait up!" Leni said as she and Luan jumped down onto the truck.
"I'm going to hate myself for this, later." Sunset thought to herself as she took a deep breath... and jumped down the girls as well.
"Sunset?!" The teacher said in shock as her honest student was taking such a risk. "You girls get back here!"
"Don't even bother, teach. They've made up their minds." Jack said as a hint of determination set in. "Don't worry, I'll make sure that they're safe."
Before his teacher could say or do anything to stop him, Jack took a running leap before jumping out of the classroom.
Jack would've hit the ground had Sunset and Luan not caught his hands and pulled him on top of the garbage truck at the last.
"So glad you could join us, Jack." Leni said, glad that the nervous boy joined them.
"You know that this whole idea is crazy, right?" Jack asked.
"Of course we do, Jack." Luan said. "Our family is where that portal is. Did you really expect us go on about our day and not anything?"
Jack wanted to say something but then thought about it. "I guess you're right. And hey, on the plus side, me and Sunset get to meet some of your family members."
"That's the spirit, J." Sunset said as she placed a hand on his shoulder.
"Hang on, guys. We're on our way." Luna thought to herself as she rode on top the garbage truck while she stared at the portal still in the sky.
Meanwhile, in Royal Woods Forest...
"I think it's best that I land here." The golden robot said as safely landed on the grass of the forest. He then activated his scanner to find out where he was currently.
Result: Royal Woods Forest.
Just then, his sensors picked up something coming from behind him as he then turned around. He saw a shiny, white and blue robot with an angry look on her face.
"Alright, whoever or whatever you are. You got exactly to the count from three to tell me why is it that you're here Earth before I will be forced to send you back to wherever you came from with what will be left of your parts." Jenny said as she as she manifested into two balls of blue colored energy before pointing them straight at this golden, robotic stranger, armed at the ready to throw down with him incase he tried something which would be anything at this point really.
"Please, stand down miss. I mean you nor your Earth no harm." The mechanical unlikely "hero" raised his hands as a means to show that he means Jenny or her planet any harm. "I am classified as Amazo. I-"
Suddenly, his sensor once more, causing him to stop speaking as he turned his head to where it was coming from. Seconds after doing so, he was hit in the face by a large hand made of water that felt like it was the force of a car running straight into him, sending him flying through a bunch of trees before he crashed into the wall of a nearby cabin (that was empty by the way) and into a support beam, causing the middle part of it to break off.
Taking a moment to regain his bearing, Amazo's scanner's kicked in when finally laid eyes on his attacker. For some reason, he lost his ability to speak for a moment.
It was a lanky framed, blue colored lady and didn't look pleased.
"Alright, tin can." Lapis began, agitated. "You almost shattered me, and I think some payback is in order."
"I did?" Amazo said, finally speaking after a few seconds. "Look, I'm sorry for that. Really, I am."
"Your words are irrelevant so I doubt that." Lapis said as she formed her water wings into fists.
"Hold it right there!" Jenny said, as she landed behind Lapis, but the gem refused to turn around and acknowledge her. "I'm the one who's running this interrogation. Back away from him."
"Well, I'm running it my way now, whoever you are." Lapis said, finally turning around. "Here's your first and only warning, please back off."
"I ain't doing that." Jenny said as she stared Lapis down as she enlarged her fists before growing spikes on the knuckles of both hands. "I suggest that you back off."
"Not happening, you pile of scrap metal." Lapis said, insulting the robot before launching a water hand at the Tremorton protector. "I tried to be nice."
Jenny grabbed a hold off the hand with one of her own, locking them together. "I see things differently." She said before transforming her hand into a blaster gun before firing a beam of freezing energy at the gem.
Lapis, seeing the beam firing at her, used her other water wing to protect herself from the beam's freezing capabilities as she saw the beam freeze her wing solid causing it to fall to the floor and break it pieces.
"Okay, first time that happened. I have to watch out for that." The blue gem thought to herself.
Jenny, taking advantage of Lapis' brief distraction, fired a flash of blinding light from her eyes.
"Aahhh!" Lapis said as she rubbed her eyes trying to cleared the blindness. She didn't get the chance as she felt herself get tackled out of the cabin in and into the sky.
"Stop this." Jenny said, squeezing Lapis in a bear hug. "Now!"
Lapis could hear the rushing sound of the water below them, indicating that the two super powered individuals were above a river.
"Perfect." She thought to herself as she began to focus her mind on the water below her before she spoke. "Sorry but when it comes to authority, I like taking it into my own hands. As you are."
"I'm not taking the law into my own hands!" Jenny denied quickly. "I was ordered to come here."
"Perhaps. But at our objectives revolve around that robot. Now I suggest you let me go before I really get angry." Lapis said calmly.
"Or what?! More magic water tricks?" Jenny joked.
"Maybe." Lapis simply said.
Seconds after Lapis said that, a massive amount of water shot up like a geyser. Once the two were surrounded in a bubble made entirely of the liquid substance, Lapis, without even opening her eyes., began to bend the water to her control as she made tendrils before wrapping them around her robotic opponent's arms and legs, forcing her to let go of the water user.
As Lapis summoned her water wings again, she slowly began to restrain the robot from moving.
"Enough! I don't want to destroy you, but if continue to do this. You'll give me no choice." Lapis demanded. "So I suggest you stand down."
"You stand down!" Jenny said, as she began to transform her shoulder into something.
Her shoulders opened up into shoulder mounted rocket launchers with three missiles on each shoulder, before pointing them straight at the blue gem.
As she fired the six missiles at Lapis, the water user quickly summoned up a shield made of water to protect herself from the soon to be explosion.
As Amazo watched the battle escalate, part of him wanted to stop them from causing more collateral damage but another part of him wanted to just observe these two as he didn't know either of them or the nature of their abilities or tech respectively.
Unknown to him, he wasn't the only one watching the battle in the forest.
"So... these two ladies are fighting over the same thing, eh." A dark voice filled with sadistic glee said as he observed the fight between Lapis and Jenny. "Hmm, allow me to remove him from the equation so that these two can fight without worry."
With that, the dark voiced being used some sort of red magic from his hands and pointed them at Amazo...
Meanwhile, in another part of Royal Woods...
Hilda and Dexter were walking down the sidewalk as Dexter was rambling on about what inventions he was going to make which he got home. Hilda wasn't even listening to him as she thought... That kiss she gave to Lincoln. It was all on her mind as she couldn't focus in her classes, to the point where she drew blanks on the subject at hand. She didn't know exactly why she did it, but she did it and the weirdest thing about it was... that she kinda really liked it.
And she kinda wanted to do it again.
"Hilda?" Dexter asked.
"Huh?" Hilda said confused as she looked at her scientific friend.
"Are you feeling alright?" The child genius asked a bit concerned. "You look like you're distressed about something."
Hilda said nothing for a few seconds before letting out a sigh, knowing Dexter was right. So she decided to tell him.
"I kissed Lincoln on the cheek, today." Hilda said.
"Really?" Dexter said surprised. "But you barely know him. I fail to see what's so distressing about that."
"That's the thing, I don't know exactly why I did it." Hilda said. "I just did it."
"So what's the issue?" Dexter said. "Are you attracted to him or not?"
"I... don't know Dex, maybe I do, but I barely know him." Hilda revealed, unsure of what she just said.
"Maybe you should-" Dexter began to say.
Before the boy genius could finish his sentence, he and Hilda stopped in their tracks as they saw a big portal in the sky.
"You thinking you I'm thinking?" Hilda said.
"Yeah." Dexter replied.
And with that, the two kids began to run to where the portal was...
