Chapter 2: Chihuahua
In the bushes, little Katsuki hid with a huge smirk as footsteps crossed his eyes. His eyes flicker in attention, looking for a certain pair of shoes. After being labeled as a chihuahua, he wanted revenge, and he knew the perfect way in knocking off her socks. As soon as classes ended, he immediately ran out without his teacher's notice, which he'll get in trouble, but that didn't matter right now. Nothing until he completed his mission.
Not that.
Nope
Not hers
Where the fuck is her?
He slouched into the bushes, hair messed up after sitting there for what felt forever to Katsuki. Perhaps, he should have grabbed some of the afternoon snacks before he left as a loud grow sounded off from his stomach.
This is stupid, I'm hungry. He started to pick himself up, finally fed up with the waiting until a familiar voice came to his ears and he immediately sat back down, smirking.
"HIME! Papa is here!" Katsuki rolled his eyes, what an idiot.
"HIM-"
"Papa," a sleepy and slightly grumpy Hime walked to him. The sight of her still sleeping had her father cooing and pinch her cheeks much to her annoyance.
"Hime, where's papa's reward," Katsuki blanched in disgust at his tone, knowing what the older man wanted. After all, he was in Himeko and knew what happened, as every kid did, every day between Himeko and her father. Poor Himeko, every kid in her class thought her dad was weird which meant they stayed away from her and her father unless it was to watch them. Katsuki had done the same, except earlier that day, he felt compelled to bother her.
Fuck no, I hate huggy moments. I gotta scare her now, so I c-
"Chihuahua?" Awkwardness filled the air as red eyes slowly up and widened ever so slightly at the sight of red and green eyes staring at him with sleepy curiosity. Himeko's father, looking slightly dejected, was also looking at him. Katsuki blinked, not exactly knowing what to do. All of the sudden, all he thought was that his stomach was hurting for no reason. He hugged his stomach, trying to relieve the pain.
"Is he your friend?" Natsu asked with curiosity and gave the hiding boy a slight glare, he placed his hand on Himeko's shoulder.
"Fuck No!" Both Himeko and Nastu took a step back as Katsuiki shot out from the bushes. His cheeks flushed and he glared at the ground, hands tighten to a fist. Natsu gaped at the vulgar language and immediately covered his daughter's ear though it was too late. Himeko didn't mind it. After all, it wasn't the first time she heard it and the boy used it in a different tone than the other man.
"No papa, he's a classmate of mine," Himeko answered, tilting her head at Katsuki, wondering what he was doing in the bushes. Maybe he needed to pee? But couldn't he have used the toilet?
"If you need to pee, you should do it in the potty," she said bluntly, her father snickers at the boy's shocked face, "you might look like a chihuahua but you aren't a real dog."
This...Katsuki felt hot anger poured into him as her words replayed in his mind. Dog..dog… Before he knew what he was doing, he heard a gasp from her father as Himeko fell to the ground. He blinked, realizing what he had done. He looked at his hand, which was now stretched out in front of him, parallel from the ground. He had pushed her down.
"Haha, Bakugo, you look like a villain, how can you be a hero?"
"Yeah, you're always screaming and angry too."
"Fuck you guys, I'm gonna be a hero! Just like All Might!" Katsuki screamed back and ran away with angry tears flowing down. Laughter continued to trail after him as he ran.
Was he angry or ashamed, he didn't know. Instead, he glares at the girl before him who wasn't even looking at him.
What? You're going to cry to dad now and make me the villain?
"Hime!" Natsu looked panicked as he immediately picked up his daughter, and dusted her uniform. Himeko didn't say anything as the pain was nothing compared to before, instead, she dusted herself off with her father. She glanced at her father and smiled a small unnoticed smile. In the corner of her eyes, she saw Katsuki glaring at her as if waiting for something to happen.
"I'm fine papa." Declaring herself clean enough, she gently pushed her father's hand away. She took off her little backpack (handmade by her mother) and took something out of it. She nodded at it and turned to Katsuki to her father's surprise. She thrust it into his hand, careful in not touching him.
"You should eat, food can make you smile." Katsuki looked down, eyes blinking in confusion. It was spicy octopus jerky.
"Papa, carry me home," Himeko yawned, "Hime is tired."
"But-" Natsu looked he wanted to scold Katsuki for pushing his daughter now, but his daughter shook her head and held her arm to him. He sighed and picked her up, he smiled slightly as she grabbed his neck tightly like a koala.
This is nice.
He patted his daughter and gave a pointed look to Katsu before he left.
I'll let you off this time.
Katsuki stared at the father and stuck his tongue at him and ran back to class, his snack clutched tightly in his hand.
"So, how was your day?" Mitsuki asked her son as they walked side by side.
"None of your business, old hag!" Katsuki answered aggressively. He cursed in pain when his mother smacked his head.
"You ungrateful little brat! Your mother is trying to connect with you!"
"I gave you an answer didn't I?" Mitsuki rolled her eyes at his son but left him alone. She never understood how her son became like this. Her eyes soften at the remembrance of his birth. She chuckled at the innocence and glare he gave her when she held him the first time.
Well, he's like you dear.
"What do you want for dinner?" The sun was finally coming down and the dark honey sunlight fell on to Katsuki and his mother, giving a feeling of a timeless picture. He looked up and squinted up at the clouds and orange sky, his hands went to his pocket and he felt the empty packet. His lips and tongue tingle and sting from the spiciness but he enjoyed the spicy flavor. He never ate much spiciness and only tolerated it before but now that he wants to eat. He stuffed both his little hands quickly into his pockets and turned to his mother.
"Spicy octopus jerky," his mother blinked in surprise. This was the first time he actually gave her a calm and clear answer. She turned away, knowing that he would make a fit if he saw her smile.
"Okay, but we were having other stuff. That's not a healthy meal."
Katsuki turned away and stared at his feet, hands still in his pocket, "whatever, old hag."
Twitch
"How dare yo-" Katsuki rolled his eyes and continued walking, completely ignoring his mother. He licked his lips and he could still taste it.
"Hime," Himeko stirred at her father's voice. She laid on her father's chest for a bit, blinking away the sleepness before glancing up at her father smiling at her.
"We're home." She turns, he was right, they were already in front of the front door. Her feet gently kissed the ground as her father lowered her and pulled his keys.
That's weird. Papa never takes out the key, Mama always opens the door. Himeko looked at her father but he only smiled as he opened it and pushed her in.
"Papa, where's mama?" Natsu froze for a split second before smiling brightly, turning around to his daughter.
"Ah.. your mother is hanging with her friends, she'll come home later." Himeko stared at him, knowing full well that he was lying. However, she nodded and saw the relief on his father at the end of the topic.
"Say, why don't we start dinner while we wait for mama to come home?" Natsu proposed as he took off his shoes and slipped on his slippers.
"Mm," was all Himeko said as she began to slip off her own shoes and put away her backpack.
"Great! Go wash your hands, and then we can begin." he slips off his tie, feeling a little odd in doing it himself when his wife usually took it off for him. He closed his eyes, feeling an invisible cool hand touching his neck, and his ears tickled at the gentle laughter following after. He opened his eyes and blinked, knowing that he was along with his daughter. Himeko watches the tremor along with his hands with a sinking feeling and sighed before following his order.
Not yet. Natsu lets out a shaky breath, not noticing the watchful eyes of his daughter.
"Welcome!" Katsuki walked straight to the snack aisles and grunted in frustration at the numerous types of snacks before him.
"Only pick one, hear me!" His mother said as she grabbed a handcart and put the ingredients for their dinner. She reminded herself not to forget the spicy octopus jerky. Her husband was going to be surprised for dinner later. She chuckles, picking hamburger meat, and nods. Hamburger steak. Masaru's favorite.
Katsuki, ignoring his mother like usual, grabbed 2 snacks. He didn't care that his mother was going to yell at him later, he can't just pick one. What if she didn't like the first one? A sleepy look flashed in her mind. He squeezed the snack, almost bursting it. He rubbed his stomach as small pangs hit him.
Must be that stupid snack….
He glanced at the snack.
Mochi and Spicy Rice Ball with fish filling. She better like it.
Green and red eyes blinked. On her desk were two packages of snacks. She looked around, trying to find the culprit but all the kids have formed their own little groups, laughing and playing with each other. She grabbed the mochi and sniffed it, it smelled sweet and fruity. Even though she ate breakfast not long ago with her parents, she opened it and took a large bite. Her eyes lighted up at the intensely sweet flavor complemented by its fluffiness. Her toes curled in delight and she shoved the rest in her mouth, happiness spread as she slightly squealed.
΅You looking fucking stupid." A shadow covered Himeko and she paused in her chewing. She looked up and red eyes glaring at her. She blinked and went back to chewing, ignoring him. A tick formed on Katsuki's head.
The fu-
"Morning Chihuahua." Himeko greeted as she put the second snack into her backpack for lunch. The red-eyed boy wanted to deny the name but knew it was impossible. So he decided to try something else.
"Morning, Neko!" he screamed, face red, before running back to his group, leaving her blinking.
Neko? How? HImeko rubbed her head, invisible cat ears and tails popped out as she yawned. She lay her head on her desk and purred, relishing the cold desk against her warm cheeks.
Who gave me those? Her eyes closed as she smiled, remembering the sweet taste.
End! Thank you so much for your support. Please review to tell me your thoughts and future ideas! It's pretty slow now cause I want to build up relationships. For now, it's just Katsuki, but soon Izuku, Shoto, Shinshu, and Aizawa are coming soon! Who should she meet next? Thank you!
