Chapter 3: Men and Women Are Complicated
All of the girls sat around talking about random things.
"So I got a curious question, how come your eyes are red, Serenity?" Casarai asked.
"That's a good question." Konan said.
"Born that way I suppose?" Serenity said cocking an eyebrow.
"I have red eyes." Makoto said.
"True, is it rare though?" Casarai asked.
Serenity and Makoto looked at one another and then back to the other girls.
"No clue." Serenity said.
"I got red eyes." Umbreon said.
"Neither I nor Dray have red eyes so, probably just rare." Cosmic said.
"Well I know some of us do but Serenity and Makoto's are bright red." Mangle said.
"W-well I like y-your eyes..." Shinobu weakly said.
"Aww thank you!" Umbreon said.
"I meant Se-serenity's." Shinobu said.
Umbreon had a sweatdrop.
"Oh." Umbreon said gritting her teeth.
"Least we are talking about eyes other than tits." Karura said grinning.
"Ahem, we could talk about how you are dating my son." Serenity said.
"Woah wait, your dating my brother!?" Iris asked.
"Your dating Nishio?" Zinnia asked.
"Fuck yeah." Karura said leaning back and still grinning.
"How come I'm the last to know of this?" Umbreon asked.
"None of us knew." Aruriania said.
"I knew!" Espeon said.
"How!?" Aruriania asked.
"I spied." Espeon said.
"I let her too." Karura said.
"I knew since he told me, but I didn't say anything to anyone because it wasn't anyone's business." Serenity said.
"It sort of is!" Mangle said.
"How so?" Karura asked.
"Because you're a bitch." Mangle said.
"And?" Karura asked.
"That's it." Mangle said.
"There it is..." Umbreon said with a shrug.
"There it is." Karura replied while looking at Mangle.
"Can I ask if you two are having sex?" Mangle asked.
"No!" Serenity shouted.
"Yes we are, and Serenity your son is a fucking champ!" Karura said.
Serenity just facepalmed.
"Change subject please!" Serenity shouted.
"Okay so, what's the sex like? Details!" Leslie asked.
"Leslie!" Serenity shouted.
"What it's a question, it's girl's day." Leslie said.
"He's my son!" Serenity shouted.
There was silence for a moment as they was all looking at Serenity.
"Fine go ahead." Serenity said.
"I learned that when he gets annoyed the easiest thing to do to calm him down is rubbing his head. And then he starts to get a bit frisky and wants to rub something of mine... hehehehe." Karura said.
"He likes head rubs?" Leslie asked.
"Get's that from his mother." Cosmic said.
Serenity sighed with a nod.
"Can't argue with that." Serenity said.
"Akira is the same way." Makoto said.
"You know what we need to do, is rub our men's heads and see how they react." Maychiro said.
The girls began to talk amongst themselves agreeing to it and Octavia looked over to Serenity who was silent and walked up and sat beside her.
"Is it a bad time to mention Adam?" Octavia asked.
"Not at all." Serenity said.
"Sorry that you and Adam's love fell apart a long long time ago." Octavia said.
"I blame what we are going through right now, it left us both miserable. I'm glad to see that everyone else has managed to maintain their relationships, or get new ones." Serenity said.
"Like your son and Karura?" Octavia asked.
"Don't push it." Serenity growled.
Octavia just chuckled and Serenity flashed a grin.
"Well is there a guy you like?" Octavia asked.
Suddenly everyone heard that and looked at Serenity.
"Way to throw me into the spotlight." Serenity said.
"You have got to tell us!" Leslie said.
"Hell no." Serenity said.
"Oh come on we won't say nothing." Mangle said.
"You're the biggest blabbermouth of us all!" Everyone shouted at the same time to her.
Mangle just stood there and slowly grinned.
"Fuck yeah." Mangle said.
"Don't swear too much around the kid." Karura said thumbing over to Shinobu.
"She's heard worse from our neighbor." Cosmic said.
"Which again, sorry." Octavia said about Stolas.
Cosmic sighed looking over to Aruriania.
"I wonder how the guys are doing." Cosmic said.
All of the guys were sitting fixing some bone-type equipment while talking amongst themselves.
"I don't mean to bring this up but, do you think you could ask Jessica not to tear up my hut when she thinks I'm talking about her behind her back?" James asked Aizen.
"Are you?" Aizen asked.
"Yes." James said with a thumbs up and a smirk.
Aizen just smirked back.
"I wish I could try to talk to her but I doubt she'd hear me out." Aizen said.
"You two really do need to just kiss and make up. Didn't you try to explain to her why you did what you did?" Starrk asked.
"Tried and failed because she wouldn't shut up." Aizen said.
"Women am I right?" Nishio said.
Everyone looked at Nishio.
"You sound just like your mother." Qrow said with a grin.
"So who's this guy?" Ken'shiro thumbed over to Akechi.
Akechi who was standing nearby blinked and looked over to Ken'shiro.
"A new friend." Aizen said.
"Cool, a new guy to the group!" Grimmjow said.
Akechi just gave him a smile and nod.
"Yo Akira, I got a strange question to ask you." Hide asked.
"What's up?" Akira asked.
"A few days after we met you, you said something strange like how you was someone else prior to who you was? What does that mean?" Hide asked.
"It's hard to explain but, there was this guy who had green hair and glasses who I think was a fisherman who said I was apart of him until he was defeated and his soul split, I guess I'm his mortal self, I'm not really too sure about it but I think it has to be true after all the crazy stuff we been through. I even have daydreams like it's something I have done in the past but then it just ends. It's hard to explain." Akira said.
"Wait, a green-haired man with glasses?" Aizen asked.
"You said he might be a fisherman?" Ken asked.
"Yeah, why?" Akira asked.
Aizen and Ken looked at him firmly.
"Oh my god, you look like him." Aizen said.
"You know who I'm talking about?" Akira asked.
"I encountered a man on a bridge in Lumbridge that looks just like you. Perhaps there is more to you than what you and I know." Aizen said.
"I encountered him too." Ken said.
"Well then, a mystery yet to be solved." Pain said.
"You don't remember anything of your past life?" Hide asked.
"I try to remember but it only happens at random like daydreams but it only lasts for a second. It's hard to explain." Akira said.
"If this man lived throughout history, perhaps he has an importance of sorts." Starrk said.
"Except he's gone. He's now in me, that I remember that his spirit is combined with mine right before we was brought here." Akira said.
"Then it's a mystery." Aizen said with a sigh.
"We could open you up and take him out?" Yammy suggested.
"No thank you." Akira said with a sweatdrop.
"Well, either way, you are one of us." Dray said.
"Thank you guys so much." Akira said.
"So Dray, you learn any more about Shinobu's past?" Kakuzu asked.
"Sadly no, she either doesn't talk about it or wants to change the subject. Cosmic and I won't pressure her. I don't know where her parents are around here either." Dray said.
"Well, I think it's nice you two adopted her." Ken said.
"We couldn't just leave her alone. She's still in a child form when the rest of us are in our early twenties." Dray said.
"Which is a big mystery." Aizen said.
"This whole thing is one big mystery. Think about it guys, Tenebris fooled the entire universe for over ten thousand years. Nothing surprises me no more." Hidan said.
"Aizen, you come up with any plans on how to get us out of this life?" Decorus asked.
Aizen shook his head.
"I can't think of anything. I hate to admit this is our eternity but-" Aizen began to say.
"We cannot lose hope." Nishio said.
Everyone nodded.
"Your right, sorry, I almost lost my hope." Aizen said.
"So other than that, Nishio, you and Karura are dating huh?" Decorus asked.
"Karura? Really?" Grimmjow asked.
"Okay before you guys start asking me questions, it's none of your business." Nishio said.
"I'm your father." Adam said.
"I'm still zipping my mouth." Nishio said.
"Did you tell your mother?" Adam asked.
"She sort of walked in on us..." Nishio said.
"How embarrassing!" Hide said laughing.
"How is Serenity anyway?" Sasori asked.
"She puts on a smile but I know she's sad." Nishio said.
"About me?" Adam asked.
"About everything, not just you two's... you know." Nishio said and looked away.
There was a moment of silence.
"Nishio, I and your mother's love just fell is all after we came here. We spoke to you and Iris about it and I wish I could tell you that we want to try to work things out but, our flame is gone. Besides, we aren't upset about it, she and I still talk. We are all friends." Adam said.
"Yeah I know, I just think this sucks. Tenebris fucked all of our lives up." Nishio said.
"You think she'll ever date again?" James asked.
"I don't know, I encourage her too." Adam said.
"Well now that she is single, that means I can chastise her!" Dray said.
Stolas grabbed Dray's ear along with Qrow doing so to the other ear.
"No, you won't!" Both of them shouted.
"Agh!" Dray said in pain.
"It sounds like she's quite the girl." Akechi said.
"That she is." Luke said.
"How attractive is she exactly? Now you got my curiosity." Akechi said.
"She'd make anyone straight or lesbian for her." Gregar said.
"That green hair and beautiful red crimson eyes." Hide said with a thumbs up.
"That's my daughter you're all talking about!" Dray shouted.
"And my niece!" Qrow shouted next.
"And my mother!" Nishio shouted last.
"S-sorry I had to bring it up." Akechi said.
"Oh, so you don't think she's attractive?" Dray asked.
"What?" Akechi asked taken aback.
"I will have you know my mother is very attractive!" Nishio said.
"That's right!" Dray said with a nod.
Everyone looked at them with a sweatdrop.
"Let's change the subject... so back to you Nishio with Karura, what's that like." Gin said.
"Oh god back to this again. Look she's cool, and she rubs my head." Nishio said.
"Of course, the infamous head rub." Zangei said.
Everyone began to nod and agree.
"Headrub." Hide said while he was still nodding.
James shrugged.
"Can't beat a head rub." James said.
"I'm surprised she didn't hurt you yet." Aizen said.
"Come on, she isn't Jessica." Nishio said.
"That's true." Aizen said with a nod.
They all began to talk about Jessica to Aizen.
Akechi stood up stretching and looking over to Dray.
"Mind if I take a little stroll?" Akechi asked.
"No need to ask." Dray said.
"Ah sorry, I just felt it was polite to ask first." Akechi said.
Akechi walked away from the group but took a quick look back to make sure he wasn't followed before heading off.
Meanwhile, the girls were finishing up and walking and talking about things.
Serenity was listening to them talk and she turned her head looking at a few people laying in the mud with depressed looks on their faces.
"Serenity." Octavia said.
Serenity snapped out of it and turned her head to look at Octavia.
"You okay?" Octavia asked.
"No." Serenity said.
Octavia looked over at what she was looking at.
"I'm going to walk around elsewhere for a bit. I will head back home when I'm done." Serenity said.
"Alright, if anyone notices you're not walking with us I will mention it." Octavia said.
"Thanks." Serenity said.
The two fist-bumped and Serenity walked off in another direction.
