Wolf carefully walked up the airstairs. Theodosia had fallen asleep and he didn't want to jostle her too much while she was snuggled into his chest. Take-off was going to do that and he hoped she wouldn't be too upset when she woke up. It was weird, to say the least since he seldom used the airstairs. Wolf preferred to climb up via his hands and grab onto the wings of his Wolfen II. Climbing with a baby strapped to his chest wasn't ideal, though.

Wolf made it to the top and maneuvered himself over the side and into his cockpit. He sighed as he sat down in his seat and closed the cockpit.

"Congratulations on making the trek up," Panther's voice came through the communications channel. Good to know it was working.

"I will strangle you," Wolf said, unconsciously going through his routine to prepare the Wolfen II for taking off. The engines roared, Wolf wincing and checking to see if Theodosia had woken up. Theodosia yawned and nestled further into Wolf's chest.

"With the number of times you've made that threat I might as well assume you will one day do so, but it will not be soon," Panther said.

"You might be right, you might be wrong, we'll have to see won't we?" Wolf put his hands on the controls. "You two ready?"

"I'm ready," Leon said.

Wolf looked through the cockpit window to see Panther giving him a thumbs up. Wolf flipped him off.

"Yes or no question, asshole," Wolf said, growling as he spoke.

"Last time I checked a thumbs-up means yes," Panther said. He was unbothered by Wolf's irritation towards him. It'd become a familiar routine and the fun hadn't dwindled yet. So long as Panther got under Wolf's skin, it would never dwindle.

"Are you two done?" Leon sighed, "We need to get going,"

"Alright, let's go," Wolf shoved the controls forward and the Wolfen took off, leaving the hangar at top speed. Theodosia's crying had him pull back to a near stop. "Shit" he hissed. "I forgot-"

"It's fine, keep cruising for now. The Great Fox isn't too far," Leon said, the Rainbow Delta flying past the Wolfen II.

Wolf took a deep breath in and pushed forward on the controls with one hand, this time more gradually. He gently patted Theodosia's back with his other hand to soothe her. Her crying slowed to a few wet sniffles before she relaxed and cooed. Wolf smiled at her as he put his hand back on the controls, "Good girl,"

He caught up with Leon and Panther, the three cruising as Leon had said, and headed towards the white ship they could see in the distance. Wolf wished Fox had brought the Great Fox closer. The Great Fox was out of reach of Sargasso's radar, which from Fox's perspective, Wolf could understand. For traveling purposes, it was annoying. Such was the way when dealing with Fox McCloud.

The Great Fox grew in size as they neared. Panther whistled, "I forget how large it is,"

"This isn't even the original," Leon said, "Remember it got destroyed during the Aparoid Invasion. This is much bigger,"

"It's impractical," Wolf rolled his eye. "He doesn't need a ship that large,"

"If I were him, I'd have a bigger one. He's likely got a huge target on his back," Panther pointed out.

Wolf scoffed, "Yeah? From who?"

"Well, us for starters," Leon said.

Wolf couldn't help but laugh a little at the idea of Fox buying a giant battleship to protect himself from Star Wolf, "We're not the type he's saving himself from in that thing," He can take us on just fine on his own in his Arwing. Wolf thought. A thought he would never admit.

"THIS IS ROB64 OF THE GREAT FOX, STATE YOUR PURPOSE," A robotic voice came through the communications channel.

"Wolf O'Donnell of Star Wolf, we're boarding to talk to Fox and Krystal about a favor," Wolf replied, sticking to formalities. Leon's silent reminder from earlier on the call with Fox for Wolf to behave played in his mind.

"PROCEED TO THE HANGAR BELOW THE SHIP, FOX WILL MEET YOU THERE SHORTLY," And the communications line went red.

"Great, welcomed by the impudent Fox himself," Leon sneered.

"It's either him or Krystal," Panther said, "I would have preferred Krystal myself, but it was Fox that allowed us to come here at all,"

"Newsflash: your preference doesn't matter because she's married to Fox," Wolf said.

"She was our friend before she and I were together, I'd think you'd remember that," Panther said.

Wolf frowned. He remembered. How could he forget? "I'm not an idiot, I was just giving you shit,"

"Ah," Was all Panther responded with.

The three ships entered the hangar of the Great Fox and landed, shutting their engines off. Fox stood in the doors of the hangar with his arms crossed. "Always so serious," Wolf mused to himself. "And stuck up," Wolf said to Theodosia, giving her his finger. She grabbed it and held it tightly. "Such a strong grip for being a baby," Wolf said. "Could break my finger if you want to," Wolf knew she couldn't actually break his finger, and that she had no idea what he was saying, but he thought it would be nice for her to hear a compliment.

Wolf watched as Leon hopped out of the Rainbow Delta and padded towards Fox. Fox took a few steps forward and they started to talk. Leon pointed towards Wolf. Likely saying Wolf needed stairs to get down. Wolf huffed when he saw Fox shake his head "no," which he expected. Either he didn't have airstairs or he didn't want them to use it. Wolf figured out it was the latter when he saw the airstairs to the left of Fox.

Leon and Fox walked over to the Wolfen II, Wolf opening the cockpit.

"Wake up my son and the three of you will be leaving through the airlock," Fox shouted up.

"Waking your kid up is the last thing I wanna do, especially when I've got mine strapped to my chest," Wolf called down, standing up and climbing onto his wing. He sat down with his legs hanging off the edge. He considered jumping down, but the drop would be enough to break something if he landed wrong, and the thought of risking that with Theodosia with him had him pause.

"Wait… what?" Fox turned to Leon, incredulous. "Kid?"

"Leon!" Wolf snapped. He glanced at Theodosia and saw she was staring at him with her wet eyes. He was thankful she didn't cry.

"I figured you should be the one to tell him!" Leon said, crossing his arms. "Pardon me for not thinking ahead,"

"Shove it," Wolf said. "Fox, get the airstairs."

Fox walked over to a nearby control panel and pressed a button. The airstairs slid on a track and stopped at the Wolfen II. Wolf walked down, jealous of what Fox had. He didn't have to have the airstairs on a track but he did for the sake of ease and luxury. Wolf could never afford such things. Then again, Fox was in more debt than all of them combined. Perhaps it was for the best then, but the thought of having something that wouldn't potentially break his back was nice.

Wolf came face to face with Fox. Fox stared intently at Theodosia, who dozed in Wolf's chest. Wolf put his arms around her, not because she needed it to stay up, but because he hated how Fox was looking at her.

"I honestly don't know what to say," Fox said, "Just, wow…"

"What do you mean wow?" Wolf curled his lips up to bare his fangs. Panther joined them, standing on the other side of Wolf. He put a hand on Wolf's shoulder.

"How did you guys even find her?" Fox asked.

"Parents were residents, they left to have her, came back to get something, a brawl broke out, found her in their room," Wolf kept it short. Having to delve into the details made his heartache and he wanted to avoid that at all costs.

Fox sighed, "And you're here because…? Look, I'm not sure if we can take her, don't any of you guys have family you can take her to or-"

"Who said anything about giving her up?!" Wolf barked, "Like hell, I'm gonna do that!"

"Alright, alright, jeez, my bad," Fox put up his hands, "I just… didn't think you guys would be the type to want to raise a kid,"

"Well you assumed wrong," Wolf snarled.

"How long have you guys had her?" Fox turned and began to walk towards the doors of the hangar.

Panther immediately followed Wolf and Leon not far behind. "It has been a couple of days," Panther said.

Fox went silent for a moment. He stopped and looked behind him, "And you three are sure you're ready for that kind of commitment?"

The three Star Wolf members stopped. Leon and Panther turned to Wolf. They always looked to him when they had no answer. He always had the answer. But now he hesitated. His own words he'd told many, including Fox himself, echoed in his head. "Don't hesitate, when the time comes, just act." What a fool he was making himself out to be. The past couple of days he'd halted everything to care for a baby he had no idea existed until two days ago, and now he was going to drop everything and raise her? His heart lurched at the idea of giving her to someone else. He did not want to. He loathed the mere idea of it. But how could he truly care for her? They were there to ask Fox McCloud for help because they couldn't go and buy what a baby needed. Because of their place. Because of what they'd done. Because of the assumptions of who they were. Because of who they pretended to be. Because of who they actually were.

And what could he provide for her? He had to go to his rival, a man who'd been his enemy for the majority of the time they'd known each other, for help in getting her basic necessities. He had family on Corneria, like his mother. He could have told Fox that. He could have asked them for help instead but the risk of going planetside was too much. Star Wolf's pardons were null because they went back to doing what they did best following the Anglar Blitz and Krystal leaving the team a few years later. Sargasso was dangerous. What happened to her parents while they were supposed to be under Wolf's watch replayed in his mind over and over, being shown their bodies. Seeing the aftermath. He was set on raising her yet he didn't have control over his own station.

But he wanted to raise her. He wanted to see her grow up, who she would become. He wanted to be there for her first word. He wanted to be the one to catch her when she would make her first steps. He wanted to help her tie her shoes and put on her new backpack that would be too big for her back to get ready for her first day at school. He wanted to sit in the audience and watch her walk across the stage as she graduated on her last day of school. He wanted to be there for the moments in between and the moments after. To want all of that and more he couldn't even begin to process knowing the substantial amount of changes he would have to make to not only Sargasso but himself. How selfish of him.

Wolf was always a selfish person.

"Well, are you and Krystal ready with your own?" Wolf asked.

Fox smiled, "Is anyone ever?"

"No," Wolf said, "Even if they feel like they are,"

"I should have worded that better. I meant: are you three willing to change and do what you have to for her?"

"Yes," Wolf said firmly.

"You two as well?" Fox looked at Leon and Panther.

"It's going to take more than a child to have me leave Wolf's side," Leon said, "I'm going to help how I can,"

"I refuse to let them do this alone, I'm beyond willing to do what is needed," Panther said.

Wolf smiled at them, and then Fox, "You done interrogating us?"

"Alright, alright," Fox said, "Come on, Krystal and ROB are on the bridge waiting for us,"

They followed Fox, keeping distance between them. Wolf couldn't help himself as he looked around, taking in the Great Fox II. He'd never got the chance to be inside the original one for more than a couple of hours at a time. Wolf only remembered the hangar, the hallways to the holding cell, and his holding cell. But this was newer, bigger. He'd never set foot inside before. And somehow it looked how he remembered the original. A few added details, and it was very likely the layout was different. Wolf had the urge to sneak off and properly explore, get the full scope of what Fox was living in. That could wait for another time if he did decide to do so. Knowing this was Fox and Krystal's personal home made it a bit different than sneaking inside a Cornerian or Venomian base. No, he wouldn't sneak and scope out their home. Their battleship of a home that could kill Sargasso in a few cannon shots. But they weren't at war. They weren't enemies.

Maybe Panther was right about Wolf being paranoid.

The thought of the Great Fox being bugged by Corneria sent a sinking feeling into Wolf's stomach. They wouldn't do that, not with Fox and Krystal living full time with their baby inside of it. Peppy was the general. He wouldn't do that to Fox, his own practically-adopted-son. Wolf looked down at Theodosia, his mind racing to calm his nerves.

Fox stopped at a large pair of doors and unlocked it. The bridge of the Great Fox II was impressive. Maybe Wolf was behind on the updates made to newer cruisers. He wouldn't know, he'd never had one and hadn't been inside of one since the Lylat Wars. Wolf didn't count jobs that required him to sneak aboard and steal information or cargo. It was far too expensive to buy one for himself, and ultimately useless since he was able to acquire an entire territory of the Meteo Asteroid Belt hardly spending a cent.

"There you are!" Krystal stood from her seat and jogged over to them. She stretched out her arms for a hug. Wolf spread his arms and looked down at Theodosia. Krystal paused and smiled, "Here," she said as she gently hugged Wolf. She let go and pulled Leon and then Panther into much tighter hugs. "How have you boys been?"

"We're making do," Wolf said, "You?"

"Still bleeding from birth, rather annoying but it'll be done soon," Krystal said.

"How old's your son now?" Panther asked.

"About three weeks," Fox said, "His name is Marcus,"

Wolf snorted, "Marcus?"

"It was his father's middle name," Krystal pointed to Fox. Fox's eyes went wide before he deflated and awkwardly rubbed the back of his neck.

"Well… it had been…"

"Tradition?" Panther asked. The three Star Wolf members had matching grins on their faces. Oh, they wanted to hear this.

Fox blew air out of his nose, "My father's name was James Marcus-Foxwell Mccloud, mine is," Fox paused and sighed, "James Marcus-Foxwell McCloud Jr,"

Leon choked on a laugh, curling his hand into a fist and putting it over his mouth. Wolf bit down on his tongue to keep himself from laughing. Panther let out a small chuckle.

"And… I had been told when I was a kid that if I had a son to name him James the third. But the expectations put on me to be like my father? Why do you think I go by Fox?"

Wolf's urge to laugh vanished. This was more depressing than he'd thought it would be. Certainly nothing fun to tease about. He felt bad and slightly bored.

"But I didn't want to completely abandon it so I asked Krystal if we could name him Marcus, she said yes," Fox put an arm around Krystal and kissed the side of her head.

"Do you think it'll work? Keeping pressure off of him to be like you and your father?" Panther asked.

Fox shrugged, "I don't know, but I hope it'll help with that in some way, it sucks,"

Wolf shifted uncomfortably, putting his arms around Theodosia to "hold" her. The times Wolf compared Fox to his father played in his mind. Lylat Wars, Aparoid Invasion, even in-between and after. It was to get under Fox's skin. It always had been. Wolf knew it got under Fox's skin. Why did hearing Fox say it to them have him feeling guilty? Leon's words of him getting too close to Fox rang in his mind. No, that was during the Anglar Blitz. When they'd fucked up but won.

Krystal looked at Wolf, "Do you need a proper baby carrier?"

"Uhh, I- we were hoping you two could," Wolf coughed. "Get one and other stuff for us," He fumbled in his jacket pocket for the sloppily written list he, Leon, and Panther made before leaving. Wolf held out the crinkled paper.

Fox grabbed it and opened it, Krystal reading over his shoulder. "You need a lot."

"Excuse us for not having any baby supplies around Sargasso," Leon retorted. Wolf glared at Leon. Behave.

"You need us to buy all this for you?" Krystal asked.

"Yes, that is the hope," Panther said.

"We can do this for you, we'll head to Corneria and get it all and come back to Sargasso. I know you're paranoid or whatever," Fox rolled his eyes as Wolf growled softly at him, "But we're going to have to dock unless you'd rather make multiple trips back and forth in your ships?"

"No…" Wolf said, "Why Corneria?"

"They've got the most stuff and we've got a specific store we go to. It's got everything. Though with the clothes I'm not sure if you guys want us picking those out since she's your daughter,"

Hearing Fox call Theodosia their daughter took Wolf aback. He then laughed quietly and shook his head.

"What is it?" Krystal asked.

"I had a feeling you would help, both of you, but I didn't expect you to be this alright with it," Wolf admitted.

"Well you assumed wrong," Fox grinned. The mischievous glint in his eye with the teasing had Wolf almost think they were friends. Almost.

"Marcus is awake," Krystal said, "Can you go get him?"

"Oh! Yeah, be right back," Fox said before jogging out of the bridge.

"Can you sense when your kid's awake?" Wolf asked.

"I can, it's not very difficult. He's very different from me or Fox or even you three," Krystal said.

"How so?"

"You're old, he's not," Krystal gave a wry smile.

"I'm not old,"

"Now, now, Wolf is right, he simply suffers from looking like he's Peppy's age due to that gray and white fur, plus that horrible goatee" Panther chided, "If anyone is old, it's Leon,"

"Me being the oldest does not make me old, you blasted pussycat," Leon swatted at Panther's shoulder as Panther and Krystal laughed. Wolf didn't know whether to laugh or also be insulted.

He decided to go for being insulted. "I don't look that old!" Wolf asked.

"If you didn't act so crotchety then you certainly wouldn't look old," Krystal said.

Wolf narrowed his eye at her, and then Panther. They all stared each other down, silently waiting to see who would break first. The doors to the bridge opened, Fox walking in with a bundle, Marcus, in his arms. He stopped and looked at the four amid a staring contest.

"What's going on?" Fox asked.

Panther broke first, falling into a giggle fit, Krystal close behind. Leon finally broke and chortled along. Wolf sniggered, pleased he had won.

"Nothing, just catching up with our friend," Wolf said.

"Uuh-huuuh," Fox nodded slowly, "Okay, you weirdos,"

"May I remind you how ridiculous you get with Falco and Slippy?" Krystal said.

"May I remind you that you also get ridiculous with me and them?" Fox's signature cheeky grin spread across his face.

"May I remind you I end up third-wheeling when Bill is here?" Krystal couldn't control her laughter. Fox walked up to her and kissed her forehead.

"Yeah, but have you considered I'm madly in love with you?"

"Hm, I'll consider it now, I'll let you know later," Krystal kissed Fox's cheek. They ignored the overdramatic, disgusted groans of the Star Wolf team. "How's he doing?" Krystal asked, using her thumb to rub Marcus's cheek.

"He was whining when I went in there so I changed his diaper and he seemed to be alright after that. He might need a bottle, though," Fox adjusted his hold on Marcus. He looked at Wolf, "You wanna see him?"

"Sure, I'll let you see her too," Wolf gently pulled Theodosia out of the make-shift baby sling. Fox lead them over to a longer sofa on the side of the bridge. It was strange how sections of the bridge were furnished but Wolf didn't want to question it. Living in a carrier like the Great Fox probably meant limited space for actual daily living, more room for storage and weapons.

They sat next to each other, laying their babies on their laps. Wolf held back his smile as he looked at Marcus. Marcus's fur was a dark blue, lighting up as it got closer to his eyes and mouth. It appeared barely grown in, and he didn't have any white like Fox or Krystal. It would come in as the months went on. He was a cute baby, practically perfect. Unsurprising given who his parents were.

"You never introduced us to your baby," Fox said.

"I didn't?" Wolf said.

"No, you never told us her name," Krystal said, sitting next to Fox.

"Her name's Theodosia," Wolf said, "It was her mother's name,"

"Did you boys decide on that or was that her name and you already knew?" Krystal asked, gently petting Marcus's head. He had started to squirm in Fox's lap and she petting soothed him.

"It's more of a guess since her parents had mentioned before that if they had a girl they'd name her Theodosia," Panther said, "But even so, I believe it suits her,"

"She's adorable," Fox said, "And she's how old?"

"A few days old," Leon crouched down in front of Wolf and gave Theodosia scritches on her cheeks. She happily squeaked and tipped her head up into his fingers.

"She's a big baby, then," Fox half-laughed, "I forget how big lions get,"

"She's going to be as tall as me for sure," Panther grinned and winked at Fox and Krystal. Fox scowled as Krystal leaned into his shoulder and giggled. "She'll definitely be taller than your son,"

"I'm sorry, is it a competition?" Fox asked.

"I'm sorry, when is it not?" Wolf picked Theodosia up and held her upright with his hand behind her head to hold her up. "She's cuter than your kid by a longshot," It wasn't true. Both were adorable and Wolf knew it. It was petty of him to egg this on but he was somewhat bored having to sit with Fox McCloud and not be able to fight. This would have to do.

"Wow, you're really going there?" Fox did the same with Marcus, "And for the record: no, she's not,"

"His little onesie is precious, where did you two get it?" Panther gestured to the purple onesie, obviously too big for Marcus but it made him all the cuter. On the front of it was a little planet with a smiling face.

"From that store on Corneria we were talking about earlier, the one where we get everything," Fox said, "By the way, we'll be heading over there as soon as you three leave, and we'll try and get it all to you as soon as possible,"

"You better," Wolf threatened. He should've said thank you. He could still say thank you but it was difficult for him. It always stopped in his throat, clogging it until he said something else that wasn't a thank you. He found saying please to be easier, if only slightly because he could bring himself to say it. Wolf wanted to say thank you and he hoped Krystal was tuned in to him enough to feel that. She was looking at him sternly. Wolf averted his gaze away from them and back to Theodosia. He stood up and cradled her in his arms.

"We need to head out, we'll be seeing you two soon," Wolf gave Theodosia to Leon for him to put her back into the baby sling around Wolf's chest.

"Hold on," Fox gave Marcus to Krystal and sprinted out of the bridge.

"Does he ever stop moving?" Leon rolled his eyes.

"He can and does, he just likes to be quick about things," Krystal said.

"How tragic for you, I hope he lasts longer next time" Leon smirked. Wolf and Panther's laughter bellowed in their ears. Wolf held onto his stomach and leaned on Panther for support. It felt weird to laugh so hard but he couldn't stop. Tears welled up in his eye.

"If I wasn't holding my son you'd be getting a slap in the face," Krystal shouted over Wolf and Panther's laughter.

"Holy shit, holy shit," Wolf's chest heaved as he regained his breath, "Be glad he couldn't hear that,"

"Hear what?" Fox reentered the bridge holding a black baby carrier. A proper one.

"Nothing, flyboy," Leon feigned innocence, "What do you have?"

Fox glared at Leon suspiciously before holding up the carrier, "This is for you guys, we don't need it right now, you can use it until we get back with one from the store. It's even got a little pocket on the side for a bottle, and a pouch in the front for a pacifier," As Fox spoke, he unwrapped the sling from Wolf's chest and hooked into place the carrier. "There, put her in,"

Leon carefully slid Theodosia into the carrier, Fox tightening the straps enough for it to be comfortable for her but secure.

Wolf looked down at Theodosia, whose head was on Wolf's chest. He wrapped his arms around her and tenderly rubbed the top of her head with his thumb. "It's good," Wolf said quietly.

"Yeah?"

"Yeah," It was as close as Wolf could say to thank you. Fox appeared to know that and gave Wolf a clap on the shoulder.

"Glad it works, you can head out," Fox said, "I'm sure she's going to want something to eat soon and the three of you look exhausted,"

"Can't look any worse than you two," Wolf elbowed Fox in the ribs. Fox scrunched his nose and rubbed the offending spot.

"No, I look great, the rest of you? Not so much," Panther picked at a claw on his hand.

"Aren't you so charming?" Fox pinched the bridge of his snout and then rubbed his eyes.

"Not as charming as that smile of yours," Panther cocked his head to the side, a genuine smile across his face.

"Um, thanks," Fox said quietly, rubbing the back of his neck and looking at the floor. Krystal smiled and kissed his cheek.

"I agree," She said, "Here," Krystal gave Marcus back to Fox, "I think his bottle is in the kitchen, it should be ready,"

"Yeah…" Fox cleared his throat, still recovering from Panther's flirtatious comment, "You guys know your way out from here, yeah?"

"We're fine," Wolf said, "Bye,"

As the three left, Panther turned around and bowed slightly, walking backward, "Thank you for your assistance, we'll be sure to repay you fully for whatever you buy,"

Fox and Krystal waved, the doors shutting. Fox sighed, "I know you're friends with them but they're exhausting,"

"They weren't even here for that long," Krystal said, "But yes they are a whirlwind, part of what makes them fun,"

Fox nodded and pursed his lips together, "What was I lucky to not hear earlier?"

Krystal stifled a laugh before speaking, "Leon asked why you're always moving and I said you like to get things done quickly and he made a… joke,"

"What kind of joke?"

"He said it was tragic for me and that he hopes you can last longer next time," Krystal bit down on her lower lip. "I told him he was lucky I was holding Marcus at the time otherwise I'd have slapped him,"

Fox's ears went back. He blushed profusely, "I'm going to kick him where it hurts the next time we see them,"

They watched as three custom Wolfens flew past the bridge.

"Good thing that'll be sooner than later," Fox grumbled, "ROB, set a course for Corneria,"

"YES, SIR,"

"You have to admit, it's very sweet what they're doing," Krystal and Fox walked out of the bridge and towards the hangar.

"I just hope everything goes alright for them, and they can figure it all out. They want Sargasso to be safe enough to raise her but that's going to be a huge overhaul. Her parents were killed there," Fox shook his head, "But in my years of knowing Wolf, there has been one thing I've always admired about him,"

"What's that?"

"He never gives up and finds a way," Fox said, "Does whatever it takes, I hope he won't have to cross the line,"

Fox looked down at Marcus. The tiny vulpine yawned and stretched, Fox and Krystal smiling.

"I get what you mean, but I think we can both agree that we'd cross the line if it came down to it to keep Marcus safe, and Wolf would do the same for Theodosia," Krystal said.

"So you'd go to jail for our son?"

"If the end result was him turning up okay and depending on the situation, yes,"

Fox sighed, "Yeah, I'd do the same… and Wolf would too,"

Back on Sargasso, Panther crashed on the sofa, snoring away. Leon was in the kitchen preparing a bottle of milk for Theodosia. Wolf leaned against the counter. He held Theodosia, having taken off the carrier, and put it away in his room. He sighed, glancing at Leon to see if the chameleon was distracted by the bottle. Upon seeing he was, Wolf gave Theodosia a small kiss on the head and held her close.

He was overwhelmed. He didn't know what to do or how to process everything he was feeling at once. It was nearly suffocating and Wolf had the urge to get better. Be better. He wanted to keep his daughter safe. Their daughter. Wolf looked at Leon, who cursed as the top of the bottle wouldn't go on. He turned and shook his head at seeing Panther passed out, mouth wide open as he snored. Wolf wanted to do the same, but he could rest when Theodosia was safely in his room in her makeshift crib out of his dresser drawer.

Their daughter. So much weight on those two words alone and Wolf couldn't fathom what they meant. He couldn't put it into exact words. He'd never been good with words.

Leon handed Wolf the bottle, "Thanks for the help," he said sarcastically.

Wolf looked at the bottle in his hand and then Leon, "Thank you,"

Leon's eyes widened.

"You're welcome,"
