Then Spyro and Ignitus stopped in front of the crystals.

Then Spyro and Ignitus turned to face each other.

Then Spyro asked Ignitus about the crystals.

"What are these things?" Spyro asked.

"These are Spirit Gems...a gift from the ancestors." Ignitus answered.

"What kind of gift?" Spyro asked.

"A gift that speaks across generations...a gift that empowers you with the spirit of the past, strengthening you with the wisdom of the ages." Ignitus answered.

"I feel more powerful already." Spyro asked.

Then Spyro smashed the gem clumps and now there were blue gems along with the red gems and green gems that he absorbed into his body.

Then Spyro and Ignitus continued walking on the path in the room until he heard a noise.

"Do you hear that?" Ignitus asked.

"What is it?" Spyro asked.

"Exactly what I feared." Ignitus answered.

"Look, Spyro, perhaps we should turn back." Ignitus said.

Then Ignitus and Spyro face towards the door they went inside to get to this room.

"What? After coming this far?" Spyro asked.

Then Ignitus started talking about the third door.

"If this door is closed, it means there are intruders behind." Ignitus said.

"It's how the temple protects itself." Ignitus said.

"Ah, yeah, doesn't work too well, does it?" Sparx said.

"What are you saying, Ignitus?" Spyro asked.

"What I'm saying is the only way the door will open…" Ignitus said.

"Don't say it!" Sparx said.

"...is if the intruders are kicked out of there." Spyro finished.

"Didn't I just say don't say it?" Sparx asked.

Spyro went to the broken pillar and hit it. This caused the first pillar to fall on the second pillar and the second pillar to fall on the third pillar and the third pillar to fall on the wall which caused the wall to break and opened a tunnel.

There was An Ape.

The Ape went further in the tunnel.

Spyro jumped on the ledge and went inside the tunnel.

Spyro walked on the path and went to the gem clumps and smashed them, gaining Red Spirit Gems, Green Spirit Gems, and Blue Spirit Gems.

Then Spyro turned and walked two steps forward and saw an Ape that threw bombs. Then Spyro walked closer to the Ape and defeated the Ape.

Then Spyro went inside the room and saw four more Apes and defeated them.

Then Another Ape who threw bombs ordered two Apes to go and the two Apes smashed right through the wall and into the room.

Spyro fought and defeated the two Apes.

Then Spyro went to the gem clump far from the ledge and smashed it, gaining Red, Green, and Blue Spirit Gems.

Then Spyro went to the gem clump near the ledge and smashed it, gaining Red, Green, and Blue Spirit Gems.

Then Spyro turned towards the ledge and walked towards it and then double jumped on the ledge.

Then Spyro went inside the tunnel.

Spyro walked on the path until he saw the Ape.

Then Spyro defeated the Ape and then walked to gem clump and smashed, gaining Red, Green, and Blue Spirit Gems.

Then Spyro turned left and walked out of the cave and saw four more Apes with a fuse.

Spyro jumped and flew down onto the floor.

Spyro fought the three Small Apes and defeated them.

Then Spyro ignited the fuse with his Fire Blast and then when the fuse exploded, it damaged the Big Ape.

Then Spyro attacked and defeated the Big Ape.

Then Spyro walked inside the cave and then walked on the path and then walked out of the cave.

Then Spyro jumped and glided down to the floor while Ignitus was walking closer to the lower tunnel and stopped.

Then Ignitus turned his head to the right.

Then Spyro stood on his hind legs and then turned his whole body to the left.

There were five Small Apes and a Big Ape coming out of the tunnel.

Then Spyro made a shock face and Ignitus jumped right in front of him and Ignitus sat with his neck straight up.

"Well, Ignitus, you and your buddies managed to escape our clutches before but your guardian buddies got captured by the outlaws and you still managed to escape our clutches...Until now…" The Big Ape said.

"Stand back, Spyro, and let me show what a dragon trained in the ancient ways can do." Ignitus said.

Spyro walked away from the Apes.

The Big Ape sent the Small Apes to battle.

Ignitus blew Fire Balls at the Apes and they exploded making the Apes go off in different areas.

Then Ignitus smacked an Ape with his head and sent the Ape flying and the Ape landed on the floor.

Then Ignitus smacked an Ape with his tail and sent the Ape flying and the Ape landed on the floor.

Then Ignitus smacked the Big Ape with his hand and sent Big Ape flying and the Big Ape landed on the floor.

Then Sparx started speaking.

"Wow, the big guy's got some moves." Sparx said.

Then Ignitus hit the Big Ape with his forehead and the Big Ape took damage.

Then Ignitus uppercutted the Big Ape and sent the Big Ape flying and the Big Ape landed on the floor.

Then all of the Apes got up.

Then the Big Ape ordered the small Apes to attack Ignitus and they all charged at Ignitus.

Then Ignitus unleashed a Fire Fury and defeated all of the Apes.

Then Ignitus got exhausted.

Then Spyro walked over to Ignitus.

"Are you okay, Ignitus?" Spyro asked.

Then Ignitus stood up straight.

"Yes, as I get older it takes longer to recover." Ignitus said while turning and walking towards the third door after saying older.

"You were incredible, Ignitus. Can you show me how to do that?" Spyro asked.

Ignitus stopped while Spyro walked and stopped when he caught up with Ignitus.

"Patience, young dragon. Soon enough you'll learn all I have to teach." Ignitus said.

"But right now you must fight!" Ignitus said while the third door opens

Then Spyro walked through the third door and went into the third room.

Then the fourth door opened and a Big Ape walked through it and the fourth door closed.

The Big Ape summoned four Small Apes to help him battle Spyro.

Spyro fought and defeated all of the six Small Apes, gaining Red, Green, and Blue Spirit Gems.

Then Spyro fought and defeated the Median Ape, gaining Red, Green, and Blue Spirit Gems.

Then Spyro fought and defeated the Big Ape, gaining Red, Green, and Blue Spirit Gems.

Then Ignitus walked in and stopped in front of the third door and then the third door closed and then the fourth door opened.

"If the Dark Armies were here, there would certainly be more of them in the Temple." Ignitus said.

"Oh goody." Sparx said.

"They won't be there for long." Spyro said.

Then Spyro walked towards the fourth door but stopped in the middle of the room.

"Wonderful...now he's getting cocky." Sparx said sarcastically.

Then Spyro walked through the fourth and entered the fourth room.

Then Spyro saw a pool and walked towards it and was amazed by it.

Then Ignitus walked in the room and walked to the firth door accidentally hitting Sparx.

Then Ignitus stopped in front of the fifth door.

"Ah, home sweet home." Ignitus said.

Then the fifth door opened and Spyro saw a statue that looked like Ignitus in the six room.

Then Spyro walked in front of the door.

Then two Small Apes went to Spyro.

Then Spyro fought and defeated the two Small Apes.

Then Spyro walked through the door and entered the six room.

Then Spyro fought and defeated four Small Apes.

Then Spyro fought and the Median Ape.

Then Spyro walked to the sixth door by going around the statue on the left side and stopped in front of the six door.

Then Ignitus walked through the fifth door and went around the statue on the left side and stopped in front of the sixth door.

Then the sixth door opened.

Then Ignitus walked through the sixth door and then walked on the path to the Grotto and stopped in the Grotto where Spyro saw a terrible sight.

"Spyro, we're not in Kansas anymore." Sparx said.

Spyro was shocked at what he saw.

"What happened here?" Spyro asked.

"This is what Sunburn and Camo and Zap have done. Put all the islands under destruction and despair." Ignitus said.

"I wanted to see where I came from...but I didn't know it was going to be like this." Spyro said.

"Yeah, no offense, but this place is a bit of a dump." Spyro said to Ignitus before he went to the end of the Grotto.

"This was once our home, Spyro." Ignitus said.

"Together we can make it our home once again...reclaim what's rightfully ours." Ignitus said.

"What do you mean?" Spyro asked.

"I mean my time for heroics is past...but with your help, we might be able to beat Sunburn and Camo and Zap." Ignitus said.

Then Spyro made his sad face.

"I...I can't, Ignitus. I just learned what I am." Spyro said.

Ignitus lowered his head to Spyro.

"You can, Spyro, you can. You are a purple dragon...a very special creature." Ignitus said.

Then Ignitus highered his head.

"You've given me hope again." Ignitus said.

Then Ignitus looked at the terrible sight.

"Now, it's time to give hope to all of them." Ignitus said.

"I don't know what help I can be, Ignitus, but I'll try." Spyro said.

Then Spyro made his angry face.

"I'll try." Spyro said.

"Good. That's all I can ask. Now come with me. I have something for you." Ignitus said while he and Spyro turned and walked back on the path when saying now.

Then Ignitus and Spyro walked back through the sixth door and then entered the fifth room.

"The style you used earlier is crude, archaic, and obvious but you got the job done." Ignitus said.

"Not bad, considering you haven't been taught anything about what it means to be a dragon." Ignitus said.

"Thanks...….I think." Spyro said, making a confused face after saying think.

"But if you are going to stand a chance against Sunburn and Camo and Zap and their robotic army and the Dark Army, you're going to need to learn a lot more." Ignitus said.

"Oh good...school." Sparx said.

Then Ignitus put his head in front of Sparx, scaring him.

"Unlike any school you've ever known, young friend." Ignitus said.

Then Ignitus put his head up and looked at Spyro.

"Now...it's time to unleash the true dragon within you." Ignitus said.

"Each of the guardians is master of an element." Ignitus said.

Then the statue started going down into the floor and the hatch closed.

"I, as you may have surmised, am master of fire." Ignitus said.

"Pay attention and you may be someday too. Let's begin." Ignitus said while walking to the sixth and facing forward to the fifth door.

"You seem to have learned the ability to breathe fire on your own. That's very impressive and uncommon. But now let's see if you can master it." Ignitus said.

Then Spyro defeated the Two Small Dummies and the Median Dummy with his Fire Blast.

"Very good, young Spyro." Ignitus said.

"Spyro come here." Ignitus said.

Then Spyro went back to Ignitus and turned towards the fifth door.

"This time, see if you can chase them down with your fire breath." Ignitus said.

Spyro chased after the Six Small Dummies and defeated them with his Fire Blast.

"Now, you awaken my hopes once more!" Ignitus said.

"Over here." Ignitus said.

Then Spyro went to Ignitus and turned towards the fifth door.

"Spyro, you must learn that there is a time and a place for everything. The ability to breath fire is useless without the sense of knowing when to use it." Ignitus said.

Spyro fought and defeated the Median Dummy by doing a head uppercut.

"Well, done. But your training is just getting started." Ignitus said.

"This way, o'Marv One." Ignitus said.

Then Spyro walked back to Ignitus and turned towards the fifth door.

"Knocking enemies up into the air allows many opportunities for continued attacks. In the air, your wings give you the advantage." Ignitus said.

Spyro fought and defeated the Median Dummy by using a three aerial melee combo.

"Spyro come here." Ignitus said.

Then Spyro went to Ignitus and turned towards the fifth door.

"Let us see how well you can improvise your abilities." Ignitus said.

Then Spyro fought and defeated all of the Six Small Dummies with his Horn Dive.

"You did it! But now it's time to move on." Ignitus said.

Then Spyro went to Ignitus and turned towards the fifth door.

Then Spyro fought and defeated the Median Dummy by using a four melee combo and then a three aerial melee combo.

"That's it! That's it!" Ignitus said.

"Over here." Ignitus said.

Then Spyro went to Ignitus and turned towards the fifth door.

"Let's try another." Ignitus said.

Then Spyro fought and defeated the Median Dummy by using a head uppercut and then a smackdown.

"This way, o'Marv One." Ignitus said.

Then Spyro went to Ignitus and turned towards the fifth door.

"Conserve your energy and attack when your enemy is vulnerable." Ignitus said.

Then Spyro fought and defeated by using a four melee combo and then a smackdown.

"Now that's what a motivated dragon can do!" Ignitus said.

"Spyro come here." Ignitus said.

Then Spyro went to Ignitus and turned towards the fifth door.

"An off-balance enemy can be very useful." Ignitus said.

Then Spyro fought and defeated all ten Small Dummies by using a horn uppercut and smacking down the dummy into another dummy.

"Now you're ready to proceed." Ignitus said.

"Over here." Ignitus said.

Then Spyro went to Ignitus and turned towards the fifth door.

"Let's see if you can successfully knock an enemy back into a larger group. This is effective in situations when you are outnumbered." Ignitus said.

Then Spyro fought and defeated the Median Dummy and the three Small Dummies by using a head uppercut at the Median Dummy and then smacking down the Median Dummy into the three Small Dummies.

"You've succeeded! But you're far from done yet." Ignitus said.

"This way, o'Marv One." Ignitus said.

Then Spyro went to Ignitus and turned towards the fifth door.

"Spyro, you have taken tremendous strides in your ability to harness the element of fire! But now I will teach you to manipulate it." Ignitus said.

"Focus and channel your fire into a shot of concentrated burst! When done correctly, the results can be explosive!" Ignitus said.

Then Spyro smashed the four targets by using his Fire Ball and by staying behind the elemental wall.

"Ah ha! I knew you had it in you, Spyro!" Ignitus said.

"Spyro come here." Ignitus said.

Then Spyro went to Ignitus and turned towards the fifth door.

"Now let's mix it up a little." Ignitus said.

Then Spyro fought and defeated the four Small Dummies by double jumping and using a Fire Ball and staying behind the element wall.

Then Spyro fought and defeated the three Median Dummies by double jumping and using a Fire Ball and still staying behind the elemental wall.

"So far, so good. Now for the real challenge." Ignitus said.

Then Spyro went to the middle of the circle.

"You have demonstrated the ability to control and manipulate fire. It is clear that you have a strong kinship with the flame. Now, it's for you to learn to unleash its fury. Feel the fire consume and flow through you. And when the time's right, release it!" Ignitus said.

Then Spyro fought and defeated four Small Dummies, gaining Red Spirit Gems and Purple Spirit Gems.

Then Spyro fought and defeated four more Small Dummies, gaining Red Spirit Gems and Purple Spirit Gems.

Then Spyro fought and defeated the four Median Dummies with his Fire Fury, gaining Red Spirit Gems and Purple Spirit Gems.

"You may have a chance against Sunburn and Camo and Zap yet." Ignitus said.

Then Spyro went back to Ignitus and turned towards the fifth door.

Then the hatch opened and the statue started going back up to the place it was before the training began.

Then Spyro and Ignitus walked around the statue on the left side of it and walked to the fifth door.

Then Spyro and Ignitus walked back through the fifth door.

Then Sparx went to the middle of the room where the pool was.

Then Spyro and Ignitus walked to the pool and stopped in front of it.

Then Ignitus looked in the pool then lifted his head back up.

Then Sparx went to Ignitus and asked him something.

"So what's with the pool, big guy?" Sparx asked.

"If you must know, certain dragons have the ability to see visions...the thoughts, memories, and dreams of others...and to see what's happening in places far, far away." Ignitus answered.

"I am one such dragon, and in this pool the visions come forth." Ignitus said.

"Oh really, is that so? Okay what am I thinking now?" Sparx asked.

Ignitus just looked at Sparx.

"What am I thinking now?" Sparx asked.

Ignitus made a sad face and looked up.

"Okay, now? Now? Now, now, now, now, now?" Sparx asked.

Then Ignitus looked at Sparx.

"I'm afraid it's not that easy, Sparx. It takes time, reflection, patience." Ignitus said.

"What I do see in the pool is that Volteer is trapped in a net trap in the Heart Of Veron Forest." Ignitus said.

"What's in the Heart Of Veron Forest?" Spyro asked.

"The Veron Temple." Ignitus answered.

"In the temple, I can sense that Sunburn is in there but I cannot see what he is doing there." Ignitus said.

"Do you know how to get to the Veron Forest?" Spyro asked.

"No, I don't. But the citizens of Veron Village might." Ignitus answered.

"How do I get to the Veron Village?" Spyro asked.

"Go to the left when you reach the Grotto and land in the path when you see a sign." Ignitus answered.

"Spyro, while I look for details on the others, I want you to venture there to that village and that forest and find out what you can. Remember just look around. If you encounter Sunburn, run...you're not ready to face him yet. If Sunburn gives you no choice but to fight him then you can fight him. That same thing goes for Camo and Zap" Ignitus said.

"Okay, so when people are trying to kill me I run. Got it." Sparx said.

"But Ignitus, how do we get to the path that leads to Veron Village?" Spyro asked.

"I'm glad you ask." Ignitus said.

"Why are you smiling. I don't like it." Sparx said.

"You can get to the path that leads to Veron Village by flying there." Ignitus said.

"Let me get this straight, you're saying that I can fly?" Spyro asked.

Spyro just looked at the pool and then looked at Ignitus.

"Maybe you've been hanging in those caves a little too long, Old Man. Spyro can't fly. We all know that." Sparx said.

"Yeah, a bit of fresh air might do you good. I've never flown in my life." Spyro said.

"It's you that will be getting some fresh air, Spyro." Ignitus said.

"Now close your eyes, take a deep breath, and empty your mind..." Ignitus said while Spyro closed his eyes after hearing the word eyes.

Then Spyro and Ignitus walked back to the fifth room and walked around the statue on the left side of it and walked through the sixth door again and walked on the path until they stopped on the Grotto.

"...yes, yes, that's it." Ignitus said.

"Now feel the power of your ancestors coursing through your body. In times of crisis they will come to you...unlocking powers you never knew you had." Ignitus said.

"This I gotta see." Sparx said.

"Just forget everything you ever thought you knew...forget yourself." Ignitus said.

Then started flapping his wings.

"Only through forgetting will you remember what your ancient blood already knows...you can fly." Ignitus said.

Then Spyro started to go up in the air and was flying.

Then Spyro opened his eyes and was surprised to find out that he was flying.

Then Spyro went to the left and started flying to the path that goes to Veron Village.

Unbeknownst to Spyro, an Ape named Haul saw Spyro going to the path that leads to Veron Village and went to report this to his boss.

"You better give me good news!" The female adult black dragon said.

"The Purple Dragon is alive!" Haul said.

"Then what are you doing here?! Find him and eliminate him!" The female adult black dragon demanded.

"I just thought that you should know something." Haul said.

"What is it?" The female adult black dragon said.

"The Purple Dragon is headed towards the path that leads to Veron Village!" Haul said.

"Isn't that the place that leads to Veron Forest where Volteer is trapped?" The female adult black dragon asked.

"Yes, boss!" Haul said.

"On second thought, follow that Purple Dragon but do not kill him and tell me when the other Guardians are free, so I can capture them!" The female adult black dragon demanded.

"Yes, boss!" Haul said.

"Soon my plan will be complete." The female adult black dragon said.

"Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!" The female adult black dragon laughed.

So Spyro went flying towards the path that leads to Veron Village unaware of a threat that he has never heard about.
