Natsumi's Tale
Summary
I didn't like mornings for a reason, but to be honest would any girl enjoy having to put up a henge Under a powerful seal. So to make a long story short, because of an incident when I was little, My berth name Natsumi Hyuga had to become Naruto Uzumaki for my safety.
The Battle On The Bridge
A couple of days later, we found out that there was going to be an attack at the bridge. When we arrived there I noticed that there were two people there, and Apparently one of them wanted to fight Kakashi. I looked around nervously and activating my bloodline.
"Byakugan." As I scanned our surroundings, I noticed a familiar chakra signature. I stiffened once I realized just who exactally it was.
'Haku-Kun?' I thought in shock. 'Haku-Kun is a hunter nin from the hidden mist village?' I blinked again, I was frozen in shock, that is, until Kakashi Spoke up, witch brought me back into reality.
"Natsumi, go help Sasuke and Sakura keep the bridge builder safe." After those words, I got into the Hyuga fighting stance. I was not really wanting to fight my new friend... But I had no other choice in the matter. This was a fight of life or death.
"Why d-didn't y-you tell m-me, Haku-Kun?" I asked, wondering why he kept this from me.
I took a deep breath and with shaking limbs I jumped forward as I nervously yelled.
"G-Gentle F-Fist." I said, as I ran at Haku. Haku may be fast, but thanks to my Hyuga training I was faster.
"Y-your l-lucky I h-hit only one of your c-chakra points." I spoke up, as I deactivated my Byakugan. My hair had been braided by Sakura-San earlier that morning, it did a good job of not getting in my way during missions. All though, like Hinata-Chan, I was not one for combat, unless the situation called for it. So yeah, I am shy and some others say... that I'm to nervous to hurt people.
I had realized when I was 10 that I became more like Hinata-Chan. But I was also strong willed, sassy, snarky, sarcastic, loyal, and shy. Witch were things I learned from Hinata-Chan and Neji. I was pretty proud of that fact, but my uncle... Well, he wasn't pleased that I was not one for battle or fighting. So you could say that I only spared with my brother and younger cousin to please Hiashi-Sama... who, as I said before, he's my uncle. Yes, you could say I'm bit scared of my uncle. But I don't go around saying those kinds of things out loud for the whole world to hear.
I was surprised when I was told one day to go to the Hyuga clan's training Area, to spar against my brother, Neji.
"All right, begin." My uncle said, and I jumped at my brother Byakugan activating as Neji was able to jump above me. As I ducked under his attack, I struck him in one of his main chakra points, as he went flying into a nearby wall. I flinched at the sound my Byakugan deactivating in the process. Both Hinata and Hanabi just looked at me with shock, and pride, while my uncle showed no emotion as usual. After a minute I walked over to my brother and helped him up, then he said.
"Natsumi-Sama you won this spar, with grace and determination to show Hinata-Sama what you can do, am I right?" I nodded and spoke calmly.
"Yes Neji-Kun. I am helping Hinata-Sama with her gentle fist training." I said calmly as I bowed in respect. At those words Hinata looked proud and happy.
"Thank you Natsumi-Sama lets go train, if I may ask, may we go train father?" He just nodded and we left the room. As we headed out I looked around nervously.
"What are you doing Natsumi-Chan?" Hinata asked making me jump and squeak in surprise.
"N-nothing H-Hinata-Chan, j-just l-looking a-around." I replied nervously. That wasn't a lie out of habit I always looked around my surroundings... another thing I learned from Hinata. It really came in handy during really tough missions where we were somewhere unfamiliar.
We had been training for a few hours, when I started to feel hot and even with my Byakugan activated my vision was blurry. Hinata had noticed, and she told me to deactivate my Byakugan, and after that I passed out, Hinata caught me and flinched at how hot my skin was. She then lifted me up and carefully carried me back into the compound. And she quietly went up stairs to her room. I looked up at her with fever glazed eyes as she brushed her fingers through my hair. Then she spoke softly.
"Natsumi-Chan, you need to res, you've been pushing yourself." She said looking at me sternly as my eyes slipped shut, and sleep claimed me.
I awoke in an unfamiliar room with a cold rag on my head. "Where am I?" I thought nervously.
"Natsumi-Sama. your awake, how do you feel?" Hinata's voice reached my ears as I turned my head.
"I f-f-feel a b-bit b-better but I am s-s-still a b-b-bit tired." She nodded and there was a warm and kind smile on her face. I sighed and closed my eyes and fell back asleep. I was happy to discover that Hinata-Sama was becoming more confident... but I was a shy and nervous person. I tried my best but it was hard.
A couple of days later I went back to team training, all though I was zoning out a lot witch of corse worried Kakashi.
"Natsumi-Sama? Are you okay?" My teacher asked as my teammates looked over at me when Kakashi spoke. I nodded and spoke calmly.
"I-I'm f-fine Kakashi-s-sensei." I said as I got in the Hyuga fighting stance. The silver haired man just blinked and said.
"Well okay then... you can spar against Sakura." I smiled and said calmly.
"Byakugan, y-you better k-keep a c-close e-eye o-out Sakura-San." She just smirked and replied.
"If you say so Natsumi-Sama, I challenge you." And with those words we started sparing. We kept at it for a long while before Kakashi told us to take a short break. I sighed in realeaf and I sat under a large tree that made a very nice shaded aria, we had no missions today so Kakashi sensei had told us to come to the training grounds for sparing practice. Out of the group I was the fastest but I always hesitated so I needed to work on that. Sakura was strong and she was skilled at fighting long and short range attacks. And finally Sasuke was great at close range fighting and he was fast on his feet but... he needed to work on his speed, so Kakashi sensei had instructed me to help him with his speed.
A couple hours later I was panting and I felt hot again. I sighed and mumbled to myself.
"Well I guess I'm not fully recovered yet." I sighed again and went into the shade of the nearby trees.
"Hay Natsumi-Sama are you okay?" I blinked and said softly.
"Yes Sasuke-San I'm just taking a brake..." after spoke I went to stand but I stumbled, and Sasuke caught me.
"I-I f-f-feel h-hot." I mumbled as my raven haired teammate helped me stand once again. The last thing I remembering seeing was my teammates worried faces, before everything went dark.
A couple hours later I awoke to a beeping and a strange thing in my mouth. I started to squirm and in my panic I activated my Byakugan and the mask fell from my mouth, causing another beeping sound. Then a person in a white coat came running in looking panicky.
"Hyuga-Sama, I see your awake. You must keep that mask on." The dr. Periwinkle said.
"B-b-but w-why? A-and w-w-where are S-Sasuke-San and S-Sakura-San? A-and..." I was stopped by a harsh cough, and I was horrified when I saw blood. The doctor gasped and ran out of the room to get another doctor. Then the silver haired man appeared in the room causing me to let out a surprised squeak.
"K-K-Kakashi-s-sensei? W-w-what h-h-happened?" I asked my eyes wide in a silent question. My teacher sighed sadly and said.
"Natsumi, you passed out during your sparing match with Sasuke... and you were burning up." I looked up at my teacher with tear filled eyes, and said.
"I-I-I'm s-sorry K-Kakashi-s-sensei... I-I'm s-sorry m-my H-Hyuga T-training g-got t-the b-best o-of m-me..." I trailed of as I felt hands tilt my chin up, but it was not my sensei as I had expected but instead it was my cousin with my teammates behind her.
"H-H-Hinata-S-San? I-I t-thought y-you w-were o-on a-a m-mission?" After I spoke those words I barred my face in her shoulder, trembling and coughs racking my body. I sighed glaring at the ceasing in boredom of being stuck here for a while.
