Lysara's POV
Padme, Anakin, and I would travel to the Lake Country in the morning. At the moment we were heading in the direction of Padme's home. She wanted to see her family and assure them she was safe.
"We're here" the senator announced as we came to a stop outside of a private residence. "This is my house"
"Does Naboo cease being beautiful?" I joked.
"Just wait till you see the Lake Country it's even prettier out there" Padme replied.
Two little girls came running of the house and it turned out they were Padme's nieces. The senator exchanged hugs with both children before they happily giggled and rushed over to play with R2. Inside we took off our cloaks and ventured into the dining room. Padme's sister Sola got excited and the two siblings hugged one another.
"Anakin, Lysara, this is my sister Sola" Padme introduced us.
"A pleasure to meet you" I spoke first.
Sola and I shook hands before she did the same with Anakin. Padme's parents were introduced next and it wasn't long until we sat down for dinner. I sat next to Sola while Anakin sat next to Padme's father and the senator herself.
"I hope your hungry" Jobal said to me and Anakin.
"A little"
"He's just being polite Mom the three of us are starving" Padme corrected the Padawan. Sola handed me a plate and I thanked her before taking it. I placed some vegetables and delicious looking meat onto my plate before passing it to Ruwee.
"Honey it's so good to see you safe" Jobal told her daughter. "We were so worried"
"Dear" Ruwee muttered looking to his wife.
"I know, I know, I had to say it and now it's done" Jobal promised.
"Did you know Anakin you're the first boyfriend my sister's ever brought home?" Sola teased.
"He's not my boyfriend" Padme corrected her sister politely. "Anakin's a friend and we've known each other for years, he and Lysara are my assigned protection"
"Bodyguards? Oh Padme you didn't tell us it was that serious" Jobal fussed.
"I assure you your daughter's safety is our priority" I vowed to Jobal and her husband.
"Is she in danger?" Ruwee inquired. The question was directed at me and Anakin.
"Yes I'm afraid she is" Anakin confirmed before looking to the senator. "But as Lysara said Padme's safety is our priority"
I did my best not to blush. Within my mind my inner wolf was chuckling. After dinner Anakin and Ruwee went outside to get some fresh air. I helped Padme take the dishes into the kitchen.
"Why haven't you told us about him?" Sola demanded from Padme after she put some dishes into the sink.
"What's there to talk about? He's just a boy"
Jobal wore a smirk and I chuckled while helping her with some dishes to wash.
"He's handsome" Sola continued.
"Oh Sola stop it" Padme countered before resuming her gaze out the window.
"He is handsome" I agreed with Sola.
I think the correct term is sexy my wolf corrected.
I swear to god I'm gonna throw you into a cage if you don't behave I threatened my other half.
I noticed Padme shooting me a mischievous look and I shot her a don't-you-dare glance. Before leaving Padme needed some things to take with her. While in her room the senator explained about the pictures. One was of her hugging two children while on a relief mission. Another was of Padme as an apprentice legislator.
The three of us left the residence before it got dark. I thanked Padme's family for having us before we left as did Anakin. We returned to the hotel we were staying at for the evening before going to the Lake Country tomorrow.
Anakin and I would take turns on watch. I volunteered to take the first watch so Anakin could try and get some sleep. He definitely look tired which was no doubt related to his recurring dreams of his mother. I passed the time reading a book Padme suggested I might like. I would stop periodically to check on her to make sure she was alright.
Upon returning from my fourth check I found a tired looking Anakin in the living room. He looked terrible and I knew he had a nightmare about his mother again.
"Do you want to try and get some more sleep before you take over?" I questioned the Padawan.
"No thanks" Anakin answered tiredly. He then looked at me. "You look like you need sleep though"
He was right I was getting tired.
"I'll head to bed shortly" I admitted sitting down.
"I've been having nightmares about my mother" Anakin notified me. "I've don't know why though"
"I hope they pass soon" I responded. "There is one sort of dream that is annoying and I have them every now and then"
The Padawan arched an eyebrow in interest.
"I dream about over sleeping and being late for a job"
This dreams were a pain in the ass and I hated them!
A smile came to Anakin's lips and I did my best not to blush.
I think you cheered him up a little my wolf suggested.
The Padawan seemed to be in better spirits than he was a few minutes ago.
"You have a good sense of humor Lysara" Anakin complimented.
"Sometimes laugher is the best medicine" I answered before getting to my feet. "I'm going to get some sleep"
"Sleep well" Anakin told me. "And avoid those dreams"
I smiled back at him before heading to my room for the night.
Lysara's inner wolf as you can tell is a comedy relief role. I also had the dreams Lysara talks with Anakin about quite a lot they suck!
