Kirie could only sigh at the failure of Lancer. Despite knowing the fact that Saber shouldn't have survived that attack, she not only managed to go through the attack with a barrier of all things, leaving her with only a minor injury, but she also managed to deal a heavy blow towards his own servant.

It was a waste of a command seal, he knew, but when his own king demanded him to use it to rid of the Saber before him, well, he couldn't do much but oblige.

But now he is not only down a command seal, (even though he has a lot more) but his servant is also heavily injured, taking him out of the field for the day.

"It seems that Lancer has failed." He commented nonchalantly at the problem at hand, kneeling before his king.

His king, looking at him with disappointment, displeasure, and rage.

"It seems that even attack dogs can't do their jobs properly." He snarled before getting up from his chair and walking towards the back exit.

"Where are you going my lord?"

Gilgamesh turned his head back before responding. "That mongrel has failed to do the one thing I asked of him. I waited ten years for this and he failed to deliver on it. I'm going to eliminate that pesky Saber and mongrel for failing to summon my Saber. Don't try and stop me."

"I'm afraid I can't let you go any further than that."

Both of them turned their heads towards the altar where a tall young man with fair skin is seen leaning behind the altar with a stern, calm expression.

His eyes are bright and sharp, amber in color with yellow pupils. His dark brown hair is styled in a windswept fashion with a longer fringe that hangs from the right side of his face. It fades to amber brown at the tips and is pulled back in a long ponytail reaching his waist.

His attire is elegant and form-fitting, consisting of a beige dress shirt, a brown and amber waistcoat, slim black trousers, black dress boots, and black gloves with gold rings thumbs.

His neckpiece is a white tie pinned at the throat by an amber gemstone. Over everything, he wears a long dark brown tailcoat with dragon scale patterns, gold and silver accents, golden tassels, and a strange diamond symbol on the back.

His clothes are decorated with diamond symbols found on his sleeves, belt, trousers, waistcoat buttons, and tailcoat buttons. He wears a brown pendant" (with the same strange diamond symbol but inverted) on a chain at the small of his back, a tassel earring on his left ear, and red eyeshadow.

"And who dares speaks before me?" Gilgamesh's expression became calm, but Kirie knew it was a facade as he can see him, shaking with rage towards this person. He was also surprised himself that someone managed to sneak upon them without him noticing. Perhaps it's Assassin?

"My name is… Ruler, the moderator for the Fifth Holy Grail War. Due to the anomalies of the grail, I have been summoned as a servant to assess the situation and solve it." The newly announced Ruler bows respectfully before them. "It appears that they are several anomalies that must be corrected to ensure that this Holy Grail War does not harm the lives of the innocent like the previous one."

"Hoh? And how do you intend to do that Ruler? There can be only one Ruler and that title belongs to me." Gilgamesh gritted his teeth before him, feeling the divinity this Ruler possessed, a feeling oh so familiar that one belongs to a God, albeit it feels far different but still a God nonetheless, a being that does not belong in his garden.

Kirie is rather interested in this exchange. He has never heard of the Ruler class before, only the Avenger class was added as a cheat way to get an extra servant, which ended in failure. He wondered how the Grail, corrupted as it is, managed to summon a servant to correct itself.

Ruler turns to him, his eyes becoming luminescent as the pendant glows. "Kirie Kotomine. You are the current moderator of the Fifth Holy Grail War correct?"

Kirie nodded, seeing no reason to lie to a servant with great power.

"As you have claimed a servant of your own, you have broken the contract in which states that the moderator must be impartial to the Holy Grail War, having no desire to claim the Grail nor to assist and sabotage the other masters. By the power contracted to me as the Ruler of this Grail War, I hereby strip you of your moderator rights and declare you the Fourth Master of this Holy Grail War."

Ruler stretches his hand towards Kirie, glowing in an eerily orange. His body begins to steam, feeling his connection to all of his excess command seals being stripped away from him. It burns him alive, but not enough to do severe damage to him, only to give him discomfort.

"All of your excess command seals have been stripped from you. You have lost all the rights as moderator and have become another master of this Grail War. Stay put here as I have an announcement to make regarding this Grail War." Ruler states before turning towards Gilgamesh, shaking in fury and wrath as he took away the only entertainment he has left in this otherwise boring Grail War.

"How dare you mongrel!? Taking the only piece of amusement I have in this farce!? For your punishment, death is acceptable in the eyes of a King! Die Mongrel!"

Several golden portals open behind him, revealing to the world the weapons that he collected and owned in his lifetime.

Axes, swords, longswords, claymores, polearms, all types of weapons, aimed at the Ruler, whose expression still remains neutral. The weapons fire from the portal and Ruler lifts his hand up, glowing the same orange. Before the weapons could touch him, they all dispersed, in their place are the raw materials that were used to create them in the first place.

"What…! What have you done to my precious treasures you scum!?"

"You have attacked a moderator of this Grail War. I have the right to defend myself of course, seeing that I am needed here to ensure the rules of the Grail War are enforced. I was planning to grant you the ability to participate, seeing as you are still a servant, but due to your aggression, it appears that you will bring more harm than good, and thus, I must eliminate you from this Grail War." Ruler declares his intentions before summoning his own polearm, prepared for combat.

Gilgamesh could only stand in shock, staring at his once beautiful treasures, now reduced to… mere minerals of all things. He could only laugh and laugh, losing all his grace as a King and laughing like a maniac before staring back at the offender, his red eyes now narrowed.

"I'm going to enjoy granting you punishment mongrel."

Kirie knew he wouldn't survive the oncoming clash, so the only thing he could do was flee the church towards the front.

As soon as he took a few steps towards the outside, the building exploded behind him, sending him flying a few feet away. Whether it was by sheer luck or timing, Lancer appears before him.

"Oi master! What the heck is going on here?"

Kirie dusted himself before explaining. "It seems that a new moderator has come to take my place. I have been stripped of all rights and now have become a mere master. We are not allowed to leave yet but I'm afraid I can't die either yet so we must stay away from the church for a bit until a victor is decided.

Kirie turned towards the dust cloud and saw several golden lights before being fired, revealing to them the servant Ruler and Gilgamesh, the latter looking quite pissed while the former looked calm and stern as always.

"Should I interfere then?" Lancer asked, itching for a battle now that he is fully healed thanks to his ability, [Disengage].

Kirie shook his head. "Unless you want to find yourself the first servant to perish in this Grail War then you do your best not to fight the moderator. I fear that you may fall before him, considering that he turned Noble Phantasms into mere ores and minerals.

Kirie enjoyed seeing the look of worry and despair of his servant, no doubt pissed off at the fact that he can't fight this servant. He does not know why battles seemed interesting to Lancer but to each his own he supposed. He looked back at the fight before him, being very interested to see who would win this bout.

This in itself is already interesting enough to see the results.

How long has it been since he had used his archon powers?

Weeks? Months? Year's? To him, time is a very fleeting thing. A moment of time could last up to centuries if one is not careful.

Then again, it might be because of his status as a servant since they exist outside of space and time.

He was summoned as his definite prime in his time. Surprisingly though, it was after he faked his death and ended his contract of protecting Liyue, becoming a mere adepti known as Zhongli. It was strange really, he never knew that this was his prime but oh well, if the grail sees it fit, then he has nothing to argue against.

He has a contract to fulfill after all and being the former God of Contracts, he will see to it fulfilled to the letter.

Charging towards the anomaly, Zhongli performs multiple thrusts at the golden servant, forcing him to grab a sword for himself to parry his attacks. To the untrained eye, it looked like he was holding his own, but those who knew true combat such as himself, he was nothing more than an amateur, swinging his sword to save himself.

Before Zhongli could get a good hit at him, Gilgamesh fired more weapons towards him which forced him to take off his focus, allowing him to back off for a moment before summoning more weapons from beneath him this time, forcing Zhongli to leap into the air.

This gave Gilgamesh an immense advantage however.

As he was in mid-air, several portals opened up, surrounding him. While he could convert most of them back to ores, some of them may slip by him, injuring him in the process.

He has a solution to this though.

"Quake!"

An orange barrier surrounds him before he is bombarded by dozens of weapons. The barrier holds even as he lands on the ground and he keeps moving forward, not stopping at all. Gilgamesh was surprised by this and was unable to react as Zhongli managed to stab him in the chest, eliciting a bloody cough from him before firing several potions at him, forcing him to dodge and weave as Gilgamesh recovers himself with one of the potions in his treasury.

Zhongli frowns at this but keeps moving forward. Gilgamesh changes tactics as he fires arrows this time of different effects. That doesn't matter to him since they still came from the earth itself, allowing him to disassemble them into mere flint and sticks.

This allowed him to get close once more, but this time Gilgamesh was more than prepared. He has two golden swords this time and parries every thrust Zhongli made. His defense is much better than last time, but still an amateur at the end in close combat.

Gilgamesh, the king of heroes was foremost a King, not a warrior. Thanks to his status as a Ruler servant, he can simply glance at a servant to discern their identity at will, revealing to Zhongli their parameters, weapons, skills, their pasts and their weaknesses.

The problem with this servant is his Gate of Babylon, his personal treasury that he could use to fire many Noble Phantasms, magic arrows, potions and many more against any servant before him, making him a very difficult opponent to match. Even if one gets up close and personal, he can easily summon his portals behind, front, above or even below his opponent to surprise them, making him one of the strongest servants to match.

Too bad though that he is facing the Geo Archon, one who created mora out of thin air and can control the very earth they walk on.

He may not be the archon of this world but he can still use his authority to access his powers, despite being diminished thanks to being contained in a container class. Still, being diminished or not, his powers are not something that can be easily countered.

All types of weapons, jewels, armor, armaments can be reduced to their simple base ores, minerals and elements to where they came from. That is one of the authorities of the Geo Archon, thus making Zhongli a perfect counter to Gilgamesh's unlimited weapons in his treasury.

Even now as Gilgamesh continues to flood him with many weapons. Cursed, Holy ones, Iron, Gold, Diamond even undiscovered metals are being disassembled into mere ores and minerals, a fact that would enrage the King even further. But it does not matter to Zhongli to the slightest. He has a contract to fulfill.

And he will fulfill it to the letter.

How long?

How long has it been since he felt such anger?

How long has it been since he has struck down a God?

Too long perhaps if he is getting countered this badly.

But it's not possible! He is the King of Heroes and he will not be beaten by some imposter who declared himself Ruler of this Grail War and gets away with it!

But still, even as he continues to open his gate, firing off all his precious treasures. That pesky scum keeps turning them into mere smithing ores!

That's the greatest insult he has ever felt since that whore decided to have his best friend turned back to clay.

He was forced to heal his injuries and even used his favorite golden swords to counter his damn lance of his! It is an amusing thought though that A God is forced to fight like a mongrel, but an annoying one that's for sure.

He isn't sure how long he can keep doing this though. Despite being human and not in fear of disappearing, he would run out of mana eventually and then be struck down instantly the second he let his guard down.

He needs to end this farce quickly and now.

With a malicious grin, he calls forth the greatest treasure he has ever had in his entire life.

His first and only friend.

"Enkidu!"

The chains were wrapped around the scum's legs and arms, bounding him in mid-air. Several more chains lodged him in his waist and throat. Even now though, this God remains calm, something that irks him.

"As entertaining and amusing as this fight has been, I have won, just as always. And now, you will be punished for your insolence. You should be grateful though, you get to die by my greatest treasure, an honor that only a few people get to experience." He turns to his entertainment and his attack dog briefly before looking back. "And witness."

He opens a portal behind him, revealing the strange key before him and before he could even unlock it, the scum responded.

["By my authority as Ruler, I order Lancer to kill Gilgamesh and pierce his head.]

What!?

The last thing he saw was the shock face of the attack dog and a red spear, heading towards his head.

And before he knew it, the world went black and saw no more.

Kirie was quite disappointed at the anti-climatic end of his brief entertainment.

He knew though in the end that a servant with command seals that are connected to every servant in this war would be able to overpower anyone who would dare attack him, but it would have been more enjoyable if the Ruler did win by his own merits.

Still being bound by Enkidu is no joke and would definitely take a lot of power to simply break those chains. It's worse if the one being bounded has divinity since Enkidu has anti-divinity properties that make them mute.

Kirie walks towards the new moderator as he dusts his clothes off from all the dust he has accumulated in the fight and looks towards the ruined church.

"I apologize for the mess my battle has created. The battle was… unexpectedly too destructive. For that, I shall repair this building immediately."

With a lift of his glowing hand, the debris began to glow as well before being reformed in front of Kirie's very eyes. It was as if time was being reversed as all the debris fit perfectly into a newly reformed church.

"There it is done… now then. It's time to summon all masters here at once."

Ruler removes his black glove in his right hand, revealing the same strange diamond symbol, only this time it is the familiar red than orange. It glowed and Ruler gave his announcement.

"Attention all masters of the Holy Grail War, there has been a sudden change in the status quo, please cease all hostilities and proceed to the church. If you can't comply, then I will forcibly summon you here. You have one hour. You may send your familiars to stand in if you so wish."

Ruler puts his glove back in before approaching Kirie and offering him a small smile.

"Now then, why not we go back and make some tea hmm? It's been a long time since I had one."

Kirie nodded before returning back to the newly reformed church and went into the back to get tea leaves for Ruler.

He no longer knows what he can do to bring about destruction to the world, he even isn't sure if he can do so with Ruler here…

But he will find a way cause immense suffering one way or another.

As a Ruler class, this enhances his God Resolution skill, allowing him to overwrite any and all command seals, allowing him to control servants with ease. He wouldn't even need to use a command seal as he made his own using his authority as a God, allowing him to communicate with all masters and servants since they are all connected to the Grail.

A/N: wow, an update so fast! That's new…

It was weird. I usually write 1k words a day back before, but when my life got so weird and depressing, I could only manage to write 100 a day.

But suddenly, I got a burst of inspiration and managed to write this entire chapter in one go yesterday. Today was just editing and making the servant sheet.

Anyway that's all for this chapter. Review, follow and favorite, it would really help me out. Anyway, Xian you later Chow!
