Here is another prompt request left by a guest: 'Sheldon changing his wardrobe' - Hope you all enjoy! xx
"Okay" Sheldon spoke slowly as he observed the array of clothes in front of him. "What shall you wear today?" he asked, as he stared at the small clothing that belonged to his six year old daughter. He never knew she had so many clothes, she had more than Amy. In fact she had more than Amy and him put together.
They were about embark on one of their daddy/daughter days. They were a pretty rare occurrence but Sheldon loved spending one on one time with her. Their lives had become so busy so quickly, with work and Emily being at school, she seemed to be growing up right before his eyes. It was like he blinked and she was no longer this little toddler that was causing chaos around the apartment.
She was prone to having a few chaotic moments but now she was a real little person. A bright intelligent little girl who told jokes and asked questions about the world who was so full of energy and life that he couldn't bare to think of his without her in it. She really was everything to him.
"I could dress like you" she smiled from where she sat on the bed, a white fluffy towel wrapped around her, her hair damp from the shower and her legs kicking in the air, too small to reach the floor. Sheldon's height was something she was yet to inherit, she was quite a dainty little thing.
"What does that mean?" Sheldon asked staring back at the little girl who had a playful smile on her face.
"I could wear two t shirts and dress like a superhero" she laughed. He was slightly stunned, was his daughter mocking him? Or was she showing some kind of desire to dress up. "Oh no!" she sighed, bring her hands up to her face.
"What's going on?" he asked as he walked over and sat himself down next to her.
"I can't say" her voice was small as she stared down at the ground and pouted her lips. Refusing to make eye contact with her father. She did this when she knew she was in the wrong or when she had got herself into trouble. It was still hard for Sheldon to resist her cuteness, he often found himself giving in to her after a disagreement simply because she would look at him with her perfect blue eyes and that was it. That was all she had to do and she had won her father over. Although never incredibly strict, Amy was the much firmer parent. "It's a secret" she whispered.
"Now, Emily. You know we don't keep secrets"
"But, I promised mummy"
"Mummy?" Amy, what could Amy have possibly said to her that she had to keep quiet about. "What has mummy said?" he asked. Emily sighed, her little hands falling and slapping against her knees.
"Auntie Penny said you should dress like a grown up and mummy said sometimes you dress silly" she explained. "But don't tell mummy I told you" she pleaded quickly. It was now that Sheldon was starting to put two and two together.
Now that Emily was a little bit older, she had expressed an interest in joining her mother and aunties for girls night. She was only ever allowed to take part when Amy was hosting as it meant she could slide off to bed if the topic of conversation became too adult or if Penny became too drunk. She felt very grown up, Penny would often paint her nails and they would talk about Disney movies and princesses. She was almost like Emily's big sister and Emily thought the world of her.
"Do you think I dress silly?" he asked. He knew he wasn't the sharpest dresser, he would be the first to admit that, but he never thought it bothered Amy.
"Sometimes" she nodded.
"Do you think I should change?"
Emily looked him up and down, her little eyes judging his clothing choices as he sat there in his go staple flash t-shirt.
"Maybe this" she reached and grabbed his shirt. Sheldon looked down at his outfit, he had dressed the same for as long as he could remember. Maybe Amy was right, maybe he was far too old to be dressing like he did twenty years ago. "I could help you" she smiled her eyes lighting up, much to his dismay his little girl did have quite the penchant for clothing.
"Okay" he nodded. "Shall we go shopping?"
"Yeeessss!" she squealed excitedly, jumping down from the bed and making her way over to her wardrobe to pick out her own clothing. The outfit Emily eventually settled on was a little miss match but he didn't care, she seemed more than happy enough with her choice.

Emily had spent most of the car journey talking about what Sheldon could buy, the little girl loved to talk and really didn't come up for breath. When she was on a topic of conversation that really peaked her interest she could talk for days. She had listed every item of clothing that she knew, talking in great detail about the outfits he could wear. They had ranged from pyjamas to suits.
"You know, not long before you were born mummy completely changed her clothes and had a little make over"' he explained referring to the transformation that Amy had had prior to them receiving their Nobel.
"Did she? Can I have a make over?" she asked hopefully.
"Absolutely not"
She huffed and as he looked in the rear view mirror he saw her scowling at him. It scared him sometimes how much she looked like her mother.
"I'll just get one when I'm older. I want to have blonde hair" she told him. "I want to look like auntie Penny, she's really pretty."
"You know daddy is just doing this for a bit of fun" he told her, although it wasn't completely the truth. Sheldon suddenly felt guilty, through changing how he dressed was that sending some sort of negative message to Emily. He never wanted her to feel like she had to change. Not for anyone.
He would have felt completely lost in the clothing stores if hadn't been for the little girl holding his hand and helping him choose his outfits. She seemed to show an interest in every garment he held up and told him he looked good in everything that he tried on.
After refusing the help of the extremely over friendly and overly personal shop assistants, with Emily's help he had settled on a few crisp white shirts and a baby pink one throw in for good measure at Emily's request.
Because she had been so helpful and it was all part of their day together, Sheldon took Emily for a milkshake and ice cream. She had chosen some bubblegum sundae for them to share, it was far too sweet for Sheldon's tastebuds and almost as big as Emily.
They talked for ages about Emily's school work. To Sheldon's delight she was excelling at everything in her class and showed a passion for everything, she loved learning and absorbed everything that was told to her like a sponge. She loved learning about the world, writing stories, performing, music and art. He didn't think anything but science could make him proud but the little girl sat before him defied all those odds.
"What do think mummy will think of my new clothes" he asked as he dipped his spoon into the ice cream. Emily looked at him, studying him thoughtfully.
"I think she'll want to kiss you" she giggled innocently as Sheldon almost choked on his ice cream, he let out a cough and thumped his chest. "She likes kissing you. I heard her telling auntie Penny last night" she explained as she stuck her spoon into her mouth, somehow managing to get ice cream all round her mouth. Sheldon felt himself blushing, he could only imagine what his daughter had heard last night.
"You need to close your eyes mummy, don't peek" Emily called from the bedroom. She had demanded that Amy wait in the living room, insisting that she had a surprise for her.
"Okay, okay. My eyes are closed"
Amy heard the bedroom door click open and heard Emily muttering her instructions to Sheldon. She smiled at how bossy her little girl was, she also knew even with her eyes shut that Sheldon would be obeying every instruction.
"Okay, open your eyes" Emily shouted excitedly in a sing song voice. "Ta-da" Emily smiled as she presented Sheldon to her mother. He was stood looking rather uncomfortable in a pair of tight jeans and a white prestine shirt, she had to admit he looked rather gorgeous.
"Oh" she smiled, tilting her head to one side. "What's all this about?" she asked stepping towards him and looping her arms around his neck.
"She heard you talking last night" he gestured his head in the direction of Emily who was sitting at the kitchen table drawing a picture. "Apparently, I needed a to dress a little more grown up" he saw the look in Amy's eyes change when she realised what he was talking about.
"Sheldon" Amy sighed. "You don't have to change, I mean this is great but you wouldn't be you without the odd superhero attire" she smiled. She placed a kiss to his lips, he snaked his hands around her waist and pulled her in closer to him.
"I told you she likes to kiss you" Emily called. Amy pulled away looking at Sheldon questioningly.
"You may need to be careful what you say during girls night."
