She takes his bag and leads him to the door of her appartment. She helps him with his jacket snd and they sit together on the sofa. Olivia describes what's happening on the tv screen and passes him his drink when he wants it and David is grateful. His phone rings and Olivia looks over to see him trying to get it in his blazer. She opens the blazer and takes it out. "It's Chris." She says and he smiles.

"Answer it for me. Tell him I've forgot my phone." He says and Olivia smiles.

"Daviddddd! How are you doing?" The man on the phone says and Olivia pulls the phone away from them.

"He's loud." She whispers. "Hi Chris. Sorry David has left his phone."

"Ah shit. Well will you tell him that he better not the party on Saturday."

"I'll tell him. Bye." She says hanging up the phone.

Even though David can't see she can tell by his face he didn't want to remember that event. "Put it back in my blazer, Olivia." He says quietly. "Turn it off." Be says and Olivia does it.

"Done." She says moving away from him.

"I hoped that I wouldn't have to come and get you to help me." He says. He messes with the button on his jacket. "It has been really nice spending time with you Olivia."

"Then why did you hope that you wouldn't have to ask me? You know I would help you with pretty much anything." She says and he smiles.

"It replays in my head. My time in the appartment the last time I spent time with you. The kisses. That promise I made to you. It replays every single time I see you. Every kiss. Everything. It's been a long time." David says and Olivia looks at him, thankful he can't see the sad expression on her face.

"David... I... I'm..." She stops talking as she tries to find the words to say. "I'm with someone."

"I know you are in a relationship Olivia... It's why I don't want to be here." He says. His voice coated in sadness and a hint of jealously shines through. "I found out about it a couple of weeks before my trip to Manhattan." David continues. He winces and Olivia looks over to him.

"You okay?" She asks, way too quickly and full of concern, and David smiles.

"I'm fine, 'livia." He says. Was he going to call her Liv? She wouldn't mind that. God she really hoped her nerves and almost teenage like behaviour of the racing heart wouldn't be noticed. "Would I be able to get a shower?" He asks and Olivia looks at him. Out of everything he could say this was the least and most expected.

She agreed. She helped him to the bathroom. That's when he said it. "I know... You have a partner now. But these shirt buttons are really..." David stops talking as he feels Olivia put a hand on his shirt. "I wish I could see you right now." He confesses and she looks up to him before continuing his shirt. She wonders whether or not she should adress the comment.

"You wouldn't be here if it wasn't for your accident." She says quietly. She finishes the buttons and steps back as he shrugs off the shirt. "Do you need anything else?" She asks and he smiles before shaking his head. She shows him where the shampoo and conditioner bottles are and he laughs.

"You remember that I condition my hair." He says with a laugh.

"Of course. You treated your hair better than a lot of things." Olivia says with a smile. "I'll leave you to it." She says. She goes to open the door and she turns to see him taking off the t-shirt left from under his shirt. She watches him from the doorway. She shouldn't, she knows that. She turned to walk away before his voice stopped her.

"Hey Olivia..." He whispers.

"Yeah, David." She says and he sighs before smiling as he turns to her.

"Thanks." He replies and she looks at him.

"Your welcome. Shout if you need me." She says.

"Did you leave my clothes out?" He asks and she puts her hand his and guides it to the clothes behind the door. "Thank you."

She shut the door and allowed him to shower. She got herself another glass of wine and thought about David. How long would he be here? Where was home for him? He said it wasn't Manhattan anymore. She would miss his company, she knows that she shouldn't get too attached.

But it feels so normal him being around her. Almost like last time. He is an attractive man too. He still had some sort of an attraction to Olivia. He looked sad when he was talking about her being with her partner. Why was David so easy to accept back in her life? Olivia didn't know and the question bugged her constantly as she spent more and more time with David Haden.

"Olivia!" He shouts, bringing her out of the thoughts that waltz around her mind. She walks into the bathroom and he is sat on her toliet seat Olivia is grateful that he has managed to get his tracksuit bottoms on. His chest glistens with the water drops that slowly dance down him. He's still as handsome as he was all those years ago.

"Hey." She says trying to not look at his body. "You shouted?" She says and he smiles.

"Silly question. Can you check my hair for shampoo?" He asks and she smiles.

"Put your head down then." She asks and he does. She runs her hands through his hair and smiles. "You are all good. Have you finished your shower?" She asks and he smiles.

"Yeah. Thank you." He replies quietly. "What perfume have you got on?" He asks quietly.

"Oh it's one I got from a work trip to Milan. I went shopping to try and make myself feel better and ended up buying it. Why?" She asks.

"It smells amazing. I smelt it on you earlier but I didn't want to ask in your office." He says. She blushes as he does something she never expects. He puts his hand to hers and runs his thumb over her knuckles and the red on Olivia's face deepends. She looks down. "Your blushing aren't you?" He calls her out on it and she looks up.

"How did you...?" She trails off as he runs his thumb over her knuckles again.

"It's just one of those things I remeber you doing back then. When you were blushing you'd put your head down and I could always feel your breaths on my hand." He says. "It's sweet that I still have that effect on you, Liv." He whispers. "We should get something to eat so I can take some more painkillers." He says and she smiles stepping back from the embrace she didn't realise she was in.
