"We can only follow the information's we have and hope what these people witnessed was really Mikasa and not someone else."

He didn't know how he let himself get convinced but there was a car waiting for him and Hanji. Hanji had somehow managed to get a driving license and insisted they use a car.

Closing in to the harbor Levi pointed to the big ship

"Look that's our ship."

"Whoah it looks bigger than the one we were on as we did leave..."

Levi saw how her smile fell from her lips.
Nudging her shoulder the raven sighed.

"Don't think about it. We are here because of your choice to get on the boat." Looking around he spotted something interesting. "Can you wait here for a moment? I will be back in a minute."

"Sure.."

Confused the brunette watched Levi walk away and disappear into the crowd if people. Luckily there was a nearby bench for her to sit down. Those heels were a torture to walk into.

Lifting her legs up, Hanji didn't care if it was not lady like or proper but she needed to massage her ankles and take those shoes off.

Looking up Hanji spotted, a woman stood there holding her red cheek, next to her was a little boy she assumed was her son and next to both of them was a tall male yelling at her before he grabbed her arm roughly trying to pull her with him. The woman was struggling against the man, clearly trying to get away from him. Hanji couldn't understand what she was saying since it was a language she didn't understood.
Hanji grit her teeth, clenching her hands into fists.

Keep calm Hanji Zoe. You cannot make a scene and get yourself into trouble. You cannot put yourself and Levi into danger.

As the male suddenly raised his hand to slap her again in anger and kicked the young boy away as he tried to help his mother, Hanji had seen enough.
Apologizing to Levi in her head, the brunette stood up.

"Hey! Let go of the woman right now!"

Grabbing the guys arm she prevented him from hurting the woman any more.

"Who the hell are you!? You bitch!"

The male seemed to be talking their language unlike the woman and the child.

"Just a woman taking a walk." She grinned.

Hanji already anticipated his next move already, seeing his fist coming at her. Dodging his hit Hanji ducked down, hear hat flying away and revealing her face. The guy's eyes seem to look surprised suddenly upon seeing her wearing an eye patch clearly now and her brown hair visible now way better.

"You are..."

Shit Hanji cursed. Did he recognize her?
Of course he must be. Her reflexes were not normal but because of her soldier training.

Her worries distracted Hanji suddenly so much that she noticed his other fist coming down at her way too late. She wouldn't be able to dodge this one. Closing her eyes and bracing herself for the impact of the fist into her right face side, she was surprised as nothing ever happened.

"What do you think you are doing to my woman you fat piece of shit?"

Levi's voice... opening her eye Hanji looked at Levi standing right besides her. His hand had stopped the guys fist before he could hit Hanji. With his enormous strength Levi pressed the guys fist together until you could hear some bones breaking and the guy started yelling in pain. He went down onto his knees, while Levi nodded at Hanji to get away and pick up her hat.

Nodding Hanji quickly just did that before she went to the woman and the boy, smiling gently down at them. The woman was on her knees and hugging her boy to her.

"It's okay now. You are both safe."

Reaching out her hand Hanji tried to help the woman up but instead of any thankful words the woman slapped her hand away and started yelling at her angrily. Searching around the woman felt around the ground and picked up some rocks to throw at her.
Bewildered Hanji used her arms to block her face and backed away. The boy glared as well suddenly. Hanji supposed he didn't know better and just wanted to help his mother. Mimicking her he picked up some rocks around him too and threw it at Hanji.

"Hey! HEY! STOP IT!"

Grabbing her by the arm Hanji snapped her head around, looking up at Levi in surprise.
He was giving the woman an imitating glare with the little boy making them shrink back in fear.

"Piss off!" He snapped.

For some reason this the woman understood and scrambled instantly on her feet and pulled the boy with her.
Seeing her walk away Levi sighed and pulled bis brunette lover up onto her feet again as well. The rude guy from earlier was knocked out on the ground lying... damn Levi for going too far.

"Thank you Levi... I am fine.."

Levi sighed just glad she was okay.
Looking her up and down just in case he patted up her skirt to get rid of the dirt and dust.

"Let's go, shitty glasses. I will buy something new for you since what I had is ruined now."

Raising her eyebrow the brunette looked to the ground and spotted not far from them an ice cream coin on the ground.

Ordering her a new ice cream Hanji was able to eat it this time and Levi even ordered her an extra one. Chocolate and vanilla.
But even so Hanji was quiet now, eating her ice cream in silence. Her bubbly self gone and a serious face on.
Levi hated when she was like this. This meant what happened still bothered her.

Her silence continued even as they were in the boat now. On the deck standing and leaning against the railing. The brunette was looking out into the ocean.
Levi was staring at her many times. Not even subtile anymore because he was worried.
Debating if he should talk to her about it or better not speak about it. At those times Levi cursed at himself for not being good with words.

"... you think this world will ever change?"

"Huh?"

Her words came so sudden it startled Levi and pulled him out of his deep thoughts.
Sighing Hanji rested her head on her arms onto the railing.

"I was thinking after our war.. there would be no hate anymore against other people.. but even outside the walls the world is full of hate and against people just because they are different. A different skin color, a different gender..." she mumbled.

Putting a hand on her arm, the raven gave her a sympathetic look.

"Humans are shit. At least most of them. Where I am from they killed each other for the smallest problem. Whores even killed each other to gain more customers and earn more money. My mother probably had the same fate because she was too beautiful. Stupid right?"
Looking out into the ocean as well he continued. "This world will always have shitty people inside but among all of this there are at least less shitty people like you inside it."

Chuckling Hanji moved closer and leaned her body against him a tiny smile on her lips at least.

"Thank you.. I am glad you were born into this world too Levi..."
