Chapter 3
~.~
(Becky's POV)
I'm busy celebrating my engagement with Eret's and my families, and I look over to try and find my now-fiancé.
He's on his knees, and I know the signs all too well.
He's having an anxiety attack.
I rush over to him, kneeling before him.
"Eret? What is it? What's wrong?"
"D-Drago. He's here."
"What? What do you mean he's here? As in, in our world here?"
"Yeah." Eret starts to cry.
"Baby, what is it? Did he threaten you?" I ask, cupping Eret's face in my hand.
"Yes, but that's not the worst of it. He threatened…he threatened you as well, my darling."
I gasp, putting my free hand to my mouth.
"What are we going to do? I mean, are you sure it's him?" I ask after removing my hand from my mouth.
"Love, I worked for him for ten years. I have no doubt that that was him."
"So, what do we do?"
"I don't know. I honestly don't know."
I help Eret to his feet and we sit on the bench and I help him with his breathing as he gets through this anxiety attack.
After it ends, his mother approaches us.
"Eret? Son, what's wrong?"
"Mum…Drago has returned, and he's hell-bent on getting revenge on me…and Becky."
"So, what do we do?"
"I don't know. We can't go to the police. We can't trust them."
We head home, after spreading word to Eret's and my families about Drago's return.
The seven of us – my parents, me, Eret, his parents and sister – huddle in the living room, thinking about what to do besides going to the police, when we hear a knock on the front door.
Eret gets up and gets it, peering through the glass in the door.
"Oh, thank the gods it's not Drago."
Eret opens the door.
"Thank Odin you all are here. We have a problem." Eret says.
I'm hoping the people he's talking to are the people I'm thinking of.
"Please, come in. All of you."
One by one, Hiccup, Astrid, Nuffink, Zephyr, Valka, Gobber, Ruffnut, Tuffnut, Lily Thorston, Frank Thorston, Fishlegs and Snotlout all come in to my house.
I stand up once I see my adoptive brother Tuffnut and adoptive sister Ruffnut.
I rush over to them and they hug me.
"I'm so glad you guys are here. That all of you are here." I say, removing myself from the hug.
"We're glad to be here too, sis. So, Eret said there was a problem?" Ruffnut asks.
"Guys…Drago is back. And he's hell-bent on getting revenge on me…and on Becky."
"Just you two?" Hiccup asks.
I nod and it's then I realize…they're all here. The people who changed my life are all here. Together.
"Is it just hitting you that we're all here?" Hiccup asks me.
I nod again.
"Come here, you." I rush over to my chief and he hugs me. It feels good to see him. It feels good to see all of them.
"It feels good to see you, chief. It feels good to see all of you."
"It feels good to see you, too, Becky. Now, what's this about Drago coming back?" Hiccup asks.
"Chief, I received a phone call from him, and he told me he's going to get revenge on me and Becky." Eret says, walking over to us.
"Did you say anything?" Astrid asks.
"No. I was in too much shock to say anything."
"He had an anxiety attack after he got the call." I explain.
"What if – what if he wants to get to any of you, or all of you, too?" I ask, my voice shaking.
"We won't let that occur. I promise." Hiccup says.
"But what if you try hiding Eret and me? Drago is a madman without conscience or mercy. He'd do anything to get to Eret and me. Hiccup, what are we going to do?"
"I don't know. We don't have Toothless to protect us anymore."
"So, what, are we going to stand up against him like you did during the ending of the second movie?" I ask.
"That's actually not a bad idea." Astrid says.
"But…but what if…?"
"Love, we will all do whatever it takes to protect ourselves from him." Eret tells me, interrupting me, putting his forehead to mine.
"No matter what, it's going to be okay. I know you're scared. I'm scared, too."
Eret hugs me and I begin to sob, overwhelmed and terrified.
"It's going to be alright, my love. I promise."
Our friends and their families soon head home for the night – they all bought homes not too far from ours.
Eret and I head up to bed, and, when I wake up, I'm not at home.
I'm in a place I don't recognize, and Eret is next to me, tied up, seemingly asleep.
I realize I'm also tied up.
"Don't bother screaming for help. No one will hear you." I hear a voice say, approaching us.
"Eret…Eret, wake up." I then understand my mouth is muffled.
But Eret stirs.
Soon, the figure kneels in front of me, ripping the tape off of my mouth.
It's Drago Bludvist.
"Eret, wake up. I want you to see what I'm going to do to this pretty little fiancée of yours." Drago says, seductively looking at me.
I begin to hyperventilate.
No…no, no, no.
Wake up! Wake up!
I pinch myself, but I'm not dreaming.
This is real.
Eret wakes up, and Drago rips the tape off of his mouth.
"D-Drago, please. Don't do anything to her. You can torture me all you like, just keep your hands off of her."
"Oh, I intend to torture you both. Until I'm satisfied."
Drago spins me around, forcing me into a hands and knees position. He forces my head up so I'm looking at only Eret.
Drago then…Drago then forces himself inside of me.
It's painful, and indescribable, all at once.
"I'm so sorry, love. I'm so so sorry." Eret tells me.
I involuntarily moan.
I'm hoping the son of a half-troll is using protection, but I'm guessing he's not.
I unintentionally climax and I collapse after Drago releases himself inside of me.
"Now, I'm going to have a little fun with Eret."
Drago walks over to a fire and picks up a branding iron.
"No…please, no. Don't do this to him, Drago. Please, torture me all you want, just leave him alone."
"It's sickening, how you'll sacrifice yourselves for each other. There's something you should know, Miss Nielsen. I'm a madman without conscience or mercy. No one, and I mean no one, crosses me and gets away with it."
He then places the branding iron on Eret's bare chest, on the same spot where his other branding mark is.
More and more tears stream down my cheeks as Eret's screams become deafening.
Drago releases the branding iron from Eret's chest and I stumble over to Eret.
"I'm here, baby. I'm right here. Oh, my Eret. I'm so sorry this happened to you." I say, stroking Eret's hair.
"It's not your fault, darling."
"But it's not yours either, Eret."
After I tend to Eret's branding scar with some water and a rag, I lean on him, careful to avoid the fresh branding mark.
I cry myself to sleep, and Eret does what he can to comfort me.
We wake up to gunshots, and Eret and I can only pray that those gunshots are going into Drago's body.
The door is broken down and lights shine on us.
"They're in here!"
Paramedics rush in as the lights blind us.
I move as close to Eret as I can get.
"Shhh. It's okay. We're here to help you." One of the paramedics says.
"Is he…is he dead?" I ask, my voice hoarse.
"The man who did this to you two? Yes. He's very much dead."
"Good."
"Will you let us help you two?"
I look to my Eret.
"Let them help you, darling. I promise I'll be there with you as soon as I can."
I nod, gently hugging Eret.
"I love you, Eret."
"I love you, too, Becky. So much."
The paramedics put me on a stretcher, and then put Eret on a separate stretcher, each of the paramedics putting cannulas in our noses.
"We're going to take care of you. You'll feel a sharp sting. Just focus on my voice, okay, ma'am?"
"Ma'am? I've hardly ever been called…that." I say as the paramedic puts a needle in my arm for the IV.
"All done. When you wake up, we'll make sure you and your fiancé are back together again, okay?"
I nod sleepily, and I succumb to sleep.

(Eret's POV)
When I wake up, I'm in a hospital room.
I fumble to push the nurse call button.
"Hey, Eret. How are you feeling?" A nurse asks when she comes into the room.
"I'm alright. How's my fiancée?"
"She's still asleep."
"Can I ask a favor for her?"
"Of course. What's up?"
I beckon the nurse over to me, and whisper my request to her, mentioning Becky's fear.
"I just…I don't want her to have to fear her fear anymore."
"We can definitely do that for her."
"Thank you so much."
"You're welcome. I'll come by when we're done with that, alright? Then you can see her."
"Thank you."
"You're welcome. Congratulations on your engagement."
"Thank you."
The nurse nods, leaves and I'm left alone.
I just stare at the clock for the next hour, and suddenly, my nurse comes back in.
"Well?"
"She pulled through beautifully. But there's something you need to know."
"She didn't…she didn't wake up, did she?"
"No. She slept through the entire thing, and she's still asleep now. But…we fear that your captor may have gotten her pregnant."
"Does she know?"
"No."
"I can tell her, when she wakes up."
"That'll be just fine. I can wheel you down to see her myself."
"Thank you so much for putting in my request."
"You're welcome. That was very considerate of you."
"Thank you."
The nurse helps me into a wheelchair and she wheels me down to Becky's room.
I softly smile when I see her. She looks so peaceful…her fear is in a jar on the tray table. It'll be one of the best surprises she'll ever receive.
"I'll leave you two alone. If you need anything, just push the nurse call button."
"Thanks."
"You're welcome." The nurse leaves and I caress my fiancée's cheek, and she begins to stir, her eyes shut tight.
"Shhh. I'm here, my love. You're alright now."
"Why do I hurt?" She hoarsely asks.
"Well, you might have to open your eyes for that question to be answered." Becky opens her eyes and looks at the jar on the tray table.
"Is that…is that my…?"
"It sure is."
"But…how?"
"I may have put in a special request on your behalf."
"Eret…thank you so much."
"You're welcome. Now you never have to live in fear ever again. It was a one-time thing."
"Good."
"There's something else, darling."
"What is it? Are you okay?"
"I'm fine, love. It's just…my nurse told me…she told me that you may become pregnant."
It's then my dear, poor, lovely fiancée breaks down.
I wrap my arms around her as she sobs.
"I'm sorry, Eret. I'm so sorry…I…I wanted you to be my first time."
"Oh, my love. Oh, my love, my love, my love. This is not your fault. None of this is your fault." I tell her.
She whisper screams, putting her hands to her mouth.
"Shhh. I know, baby. I know. I know. It's going to be okay. It's going to be okay."
But I don't know if it truly will be.
I begin to sob along with her, and a nurse comes in, and solemnly backs away, knowing we need some time alone.
~.~
The next week passes by quickly, and Becky and I are allowed to go home.
Her parents, especially her mum, didn't take the news of the pregnancy well.
As if Becky had any say in it!
Becky's parents…they actually disown her…
How could they do this to her, when she's done nothing wrong?
They didn't disown her when she came out to them, but they disown her for something else that's not her fault?
What kind of sick, messed up world is this?
It's reality.
That's what it is.
