NINJAGO HIGHSCHOOL: CHAPTER THREE: THE ANNOUNCEMENTS

Everyone waited for Principal Garmadon to say something, watching him shuffle through his paper while putting his lower hands on the podium. He found the right paper and cleared his throat. "Alright. So, as a start, we've got a new club. The Gay Straight Alliance club is now open after school, run by Tox and Chamille." Tox and Chamille, masters of poison and form, gave little waves through the auditorium in their seats. There were some claps, but it wasn't too loud. You'd think Cole would mock it, but even he knew that was a bad idea. "Alright settle down." Principal Garmadon ordered. Everyone quitted down right away.

"The next announcement, we're going to set prom back to the end of the year. This is so we can prepare it better." Some people groaned, but Lloyd was fine with it. He never went to prom, but not because he was a loser. He just didn't have anyone to go with. Cole could relate. "There's not much to say about prom beyond that. Now, the rest of these could be posted online, but this next announcement is very big." There were several murmurs in the crowd. "We have...a school gaming team."

There were even more murmurs and confusion about. A gaming team? That's not something you would expect for this. Was Wu behind it. Cole clapped, since he was a gamer. "The team, the Sons of Gaming, will be announced right now." Garmadon stepped back, and some people walked in. "Skip Vicious, Mohawk, Chopper Maroon, and Luke Cunningham." Four punk looking guys walked in, wearing headsets. "Those are our gamer tags!" Skip said quickly. "Our real names are-" Mohawk slapped Skip's back, and Skip stopped talking. They waved at the cheering auditorium. The only people not cheering was Lloyd, and the faculty. "Next up, Ultra Violet." A woman wearing a purple leather jacket and some crazy make-up ran up between the other gamers, and hollered like a banshee. It was almost like she had no sense of embarrassment. Lloyd cringed a little at her act.

Garmadon sighed. "Gamers..." He looked back up. "Killow." A big man walked up, about a head taller than Garmadon, who was already tall. He wore a orange jacket and waved. "Mr. E..." A red jacketed man walked in, with a motorcycle helmet on. He was mute, and wore a helmet inside, even though normally hats aren't allowed inside. "And finally, the leader of the Sons of Gaming, Harumi." A woman walked in, which was odd for a group called the Sons of Gaming. She wore a green jacket, which Lloyd took some interest in, since he liked the color green. "Just so you know, that's my actual name, my gamertage is 'Jade Princess'". Lloyd thought he saw her looking at him, but it was a big auditorium, she coulda looked anywhere.

Harumi walked over to the podium and tapped the mic. "As the school's new E-sports team, it is our job, no, our passion, to make this school the number one school at gaming. We play several games, and will accept anyone who wants to sign up for our group!" Everyone cheered, and Harumi waited for it to die down. "Thank you for your time, we'll be at the gamer club room at building B, if you want to sign up." Harumi and her gamer squad walked off to the back of the stage, with Ultra Violet yelling like a mad woman. Krux, the history teacher, sighed and walked out of the auditorium. He was such a boomer, and hated this kind of stuff.

While everyone was leaving the auditorium, Cole was bragging to the others about how he was going to join the gamer club. "I'm pretty good at Overwatch, so I just KNOW they're gonna pick me." He said confidently. Kai groaned. "Dude, don't join a gamer club. You're not even good at Overwatch." "Says the guy who doesn't PLAY games." Kai crossed his arms. "I DO play games. I just hang out with my GIRLFRIEND and my FRIENDS more than I play games." "Whatever." Cole shrugged. "Are you going to join Lloyd?" Lloyd thought a bit. "Uhh I don't know...I don't really know any of the gamers, and they seem...loud." Cole laughed. "Can't handle the gamer style?" Cole walked away before anyone could object, probably off to his other class, or somewhere else, to skip class.

While Lloyd and Kai were heading to the next class, Harumi, who was standing there looking around, saw Lloyd and walked to him. "Hi Lloyd." Lloyd looked at her and said hi back. Harumi handed him a flyer, with some of the gamer club info. "Hope you'll consider joining the gamer club." Harumi giggled some, and walked off before Lloyd could say anything. Kai chuckled and put a hand on his hip. "Dude, she likes you." Lloyd looked surprised. "Excuse me?" "She only had ONE flyer in her hand, and was clearly looking for you. I don't think it's a stretch." Lloyd looked at the flyer and thought about it. "Hmm...well alright then." He didn't know how to react to the concept, and tried to leave it at that. "Well, I'll see you at lunch." Kai walked to his next class, and Lloyd went to his.
