TODOROKI

SIX WEEKS LATER

"God I can't believe your dad has you doing this," whines Takami.

"I know," I sigh. "Thanks for coming to see me before we head out." Takami smirks at me before leaning kissing me. "He ruined my plans," I mutter against his lips.

"Our plans," says Takami. "I'm willing to come and see you though." I wrap my arms around his waist kissing him again.

"I just might take you up on that offer," I reply. I'm definitely going to want to fuck while on vacation especially dealing with my dad and his shit. Takami kisses me again moaning a little.

"Mmm…..I can't believe your dad has a girlfriend," he chuckles. "Just fucking weird…"

"You have no idea," I replied.

"Shouto!" shouts dad.

"And that's my queue," says Takami. "Later." He jumps out the window flying off. One of the times that quirk of his comes in handy. He can fly into my room easily sneaking in or out when he pleases. I can't wait until I get a place of my own. I'm planning to work part time and go to school full time since I got a scholarship. I am not sure if I want to be a hero or not. We shall see. My dad opens my room door without knocking.

"What the hell are you doing in here?" he asks. "The Midoriya's are downstairs."

"I was just checking on a few things," I explain.

"Uh huh," he replied. "Grab your shit and let's go." I shake my head curious as to how he is going to treat me in front his new girlfriend. I grab my bag heading downstairs. I walk outside and I don't see the Midoriya's. Dad hands my bag to the driver. "They are already inside the SUV. You can sit in the back with Midoriya."

"Why?" I asked.

"Because I will be sitting with his mom," replies dad. "What kind of question is that?" I'm not in the mood to argue. Thank god Takami just gave me some good ass early this morning. The driver opens the SUV door and I get in the back. Midoriya thankfully is already far away from me. He is leaning against the glass on his phone. "Everyone ready?"

"Yes," exclaims Inko. She looks at my father making him smile. I roll my eyes pulling out my own phone. This is going to be a long drive. The driver takes off once all the bags are loaded. I brought a gift Inko and Midoriya because I had to. It was weird because I never buy anything for well…..anyone. I got something for Takami as well. It seems right I only get him something. I don't know much about Midoriya at all. I had to go to his Facebook. Luckily, he posts a lot on there because if not for that I wouldn't know much about his interests I should say. I look down at my phone.

Todoroki: Hey

Hawks: Aw you miss me already

Todoroki: A little, we got a long drive.

Hawks: I'm about to go to work but I will try to respond to you when I can

He sends me a picture of him in his hero uniform smirking at the camera. I chuckle to myself before putting my phone up as I see my father glare at me. God this sucks.

Halfway to the lodge we run into snow. We are literally up in the mountains. The driver stops in front of a nicely sized lodge. I look at it knowing we aren't going to have internet. We are lucky to have cell phone service. I pick up my bag following behind my dad as he carries Inko and his bag. He unlocks the door with us walking inside. For it to be a lodge it looks so nice and cozy. Dad heads upstairs immediately with Midoriya following behind him. Inko walks to the kitchen. I go upstairs seeing the 5 doors. Yes, I can have my own room. I check the first room and it has twin beds so I keep walking. I will need a bigger bed in case Takami flies here to see me. I grab the room across the hall wanting to be far away from my dad as possible.

I like this room as it has a queen bed with a red plaid duvet cover on it. The solid wood furniture looks smooth and not bulky like I expected. The room has a TV along with a small chair which I like. Not bad, room is smaller than at home, but I don't mind. I sit my bag on the bed beginning to unpack. I'm half way through putting up my clothes when my dad walks into the room closing the door. Here we go.

"Shouto, I want you to make an effort to spend some time with Midoriya," he states. I stop turning to look at him.

"Why?" I ask. My dad has never made me try to be nice to the women he dated with kids.

"Don't question me," he replies. "You need to be nicer to him."

"I haven't done anything wrong," I defend. I haven't.

"You don't speak to him," explains dad. He isn't wrong. So what if I am not talking to him. Midoriya is okay with it. I never spoke to him before all of this.

"Dad you can't force friendship," I reply.

"I should make you two share a room," he replies.

"That's not necessary," I reply not liking that idea at all. I need my space and privacy.

"I better see you acting like you got some sense," says dad pointing a finger at me. "I'm going to get the fire started." It is cold as hell in here. Glad he is doing something useful. I put Inko and Midoriya present in the single chair sighing. I'm loner. My dad knows this. I don't understand why he is doing this. I swear he lives to fuck with me. I hear a knock at the door knowing it isn't my dad, he would have just walked in here.

"Come in," I reply grabbing the last of my items. I see Midoriya poke his head into the room. He looks like he is unsure if he should come in. "It's fine, enter." He comes inside closing the door.

"I just wanted to let you know I heard your dad just now," he says softly. "I wasn't trying to eavesdrop I swear." I nod my head because Midoriya for the most part stays to himself. "Does he always sound so harsh?"

"Yes," I reply closing the top draw. He looks sad. "Don't worry I'm use to it." He nods his head yes playing with his hands.

"You don't have to hang out with me if you don't want to," he replies. "I just want you to be happy." My heart flutters. I don't know how to take this. I don't even really know him like that but his kindness…it's more than anyone I have met in my life thus far. It feels genuine if I had to put an exact word to it. I continue staring at him and I can tell he is getting nervous.

"It's fine," I reply. He glances at the chair behind me.

"You brought presents?" he asks.

"Yes," I reply. "I'm sorry I don't know you and your mom that well so hopefully you will like it."

"We aren't picky people," says Midoriya. "We are thankful to even get anything. What's important is it comes from the heart." Wow, what a thing to say. "I hope you like my gift as well. Anyway, I will let you get back to it. I'm going to go and get a head start on my school work."

"What did your teachers give you?" I ask curiously. Since we are in different classes I have no idea what kind of work he has. "I have to do a research paper and an essay."

"Mine is actually a project," he replies folding his arms. "I'm taking Business 101. I have to put together a pitch for if I want my own business. It can be anything I want."

"Interesting…" I reply staring at him. I remember the rumors of him being quirkless but I have never asked, that would be rude. "What kind of business do you want to have?"

"It's pretty simple," he replies. "I'm actually a consultant to the government and heroes. I analyze heroes and villains' quirks." I raise an eyebrow as that is pretty brilliant.

"Sounds like that can be a lot of work," I reply.

"Not at all!" he exclaims his eyes lighting up. "I love learning about people's quirks. It's such a miracle. All have points of weakness and strengths." He goes into a ramble and I'm trying to keep up. It sounds like this is something he is already doing. I bob my head until he starts talking about me. "Your quirk is so dangerous. You can really do so much with it. I know the disadvantage is you can't really work well within a small spaces. Although you really should use your fire more." I stare him trying not to get mad.

"You don't know everything," I reply. I turn away from him. "I have to focus on my own school work if you don't mind." That is a total lie. I hate the fact that he sees me for exactly what I am. I use my fire but not often. I'm years behind on using it as well as I could. I don't want him to know the truth.

"Sure," he replies not even realizing he said anything wrong. He leaves out my room closing the door. I run my hands through my hair praying to god I won't be forced to share rooms with him ever. I just want to keep my head down and make it until the end of the school year.
