Hello my readers! Here's the next chapter! I hope you all enjoy it!

Chapter 3: empty home, sudden confusion

At the crescent moon club, it was noisy and teens were dancing, it was brightly colored, there were star spotlights going around the room in multiple different colors, in the back corner was a booth where Andrew and Juul sat, talking, except not really cause Juul had drank several nonalcoholic drinks crying about their failed attempt to ask their crush while Andrew sat quietly and awkwardly sipping on water.

Juul: it's not fair..! why..? why did this happen!? I spent months saving for these passes! Why didn't I ask her if she liked this place before I wasted my time like that!?

Andrew: u… um…

Andrew just sat there feeling awkward, he wasn't really sure about what he could say, he felt bad for Juul but he felt like he couldn't fully relate. He's never really been in love before like this, he's never really approached a girl with romantic intent, or… any intents honestly.

Juul: o-oh… s-sorry, h-how… was your day...?

Andrew: n…normal… I-I guess…

Juul: I see… so, what's considered normal?

Andrew: I… I don't know… I'm sorry

Juul: i-its fine, sorry for pushing you a little on this, anyway, are you new at school? I don't think I've seen you around

Andrew: a-actually… I-I've been going to the school since last year…

Juul: o-oh! I'm sorry, I didn't mean to be rude, I just never saw you

Andrew: i-its… fine…so, uh… who were y-you hoping to go here with..?

Juul: this… girl I like… her name is Joline

Andrew: what's she like..?

Juul: *dreamily smiles thinking of her* really sweet, smart, gentle, adorable, and… she never really knew I existed until today…

Andrew: I-I'm sorry to hear that

Juul: its fine, so *sips drink* you in a relationship? Or got a thing for someone too?

Andrew: not really, girls… a-aren't really into me

Juul: I know how that feels, at least we got friends to go to when we need to, right?

Andrew: y-yeah… uh, friends

Juul so, thanks again for coming with me here and watching me sob for twenty minutes

Andrew: n-no problem, not, uh, like I was doing anything else

Juul: so, what do you wanna talk about?

Andrew: um… I-I don't know, why don't you talk about stuff?

Juul: well, alright then, well, other than trying to save up for the passes, me and my friend Jakob have been playing a lot of classic games, so many we're thinking about starting a YouTube let's play channel, and…

As Andrew listened, he stared down at his water, watching it shake from the music, quietly thinking his life over, where he was then to now, he never even had a thought like this cross his mind that he'd be in a situation like this, but… here he was, as his thoughts continued, he soon realized that things began to get more and more muffled and quiet, it was hard to hear Juul and the music was getting more and more quiet, he looked up and his eyes widened seeing he was alone, the club was darker, and he was getting a headache

Andrew: w-what the hell..? what's going on!?

*his thoughts were cut off when suddenly, a blue butterfly landed in front of him on the rim of his water glass*

Andrew: what… how…? *holds his finger out and the butterfly climbs onto it*

*they seem to look at each other quietly*

Andrew: what… are you…?

the butterfly fluttered away, it went to the stage that was once empty, now had the silhouettes of several people consumed in blue fire playing various instruments playing quiet music, but the one standing front and center seemed to be staring at him, and on one of its eyes, was a red tint...

?:… It's coming...

he stared at this thing wide eyed, he suddenly began to hear an echoed voice calling, it was muffled, but it got clearer and clearer, until finally he woke up back in reality again by Juul looking at him confused

Juul: uh, you okay?

Andrew: I-I think so… what time is it…?

Juul: around six I think

Andrew: I-I should go home, my mom might begin worrying

Juul: yeah… me too, see you tomorrow

Andrew:*looks surprised* y-you want to… see me again…?

Juul: yeah? Why? Is that weird for you?

Andrew: n-no! uh, not at all, s-see you tomorrow

Juul: yeah, see you *digs in their pocket and pulls out a little thing of gummy mints* mint for the road?

Andrew:*takes one* th-thanks

*they part ways and head home their own ways, Andrew gets home via bus and unlocks the door to find the lights are off, closing and locking the door, he walked through to find a note on the fridge*

note: gonna be working late tonight, keep things safe while I'm gone, love you sweetie-mom XOXO

Andrew:*sighs deeply*

Andrew just crumbles it up and throws it out. He was tired of his mom doing this to him. Sadly, though there was nothing he could really do. He opens the fridge, finding left over tomato sauce he started a pot of water. While he waited, he turned his phone on and began playing 'cut the rope' while he waited, after a bit, thunder went off and it began raining. He sighed and got up. While he walked over though, he spotted a framed picture on the mantle, walking over, he realized it was a family picture of him with his mom and dad when they were all still together, while staring at it, Andrew couldn't help but think back to that day he left, it felt almost like a blur honestly, he just remembers seeing him leave him and his moms room with a suitcase and putting it in a van he's far too used to seeing, and watching him beginning to leave, he clenched his fist tightly, more than anything he just wants to go to where he is now and ask him… 'why…? Why did he leave? What did him and his mom do? Was his it mom? Was it him? Was his life so miserable he had to just leave? Why couldn't he go with him? What did he do to him to make him not wanna consider taking him? Did he hate him? Why… why did he leave!? it was all he could think about seeing his face, he could feel the rage boiling over inside him, he felt like he could just scream. He was gritting his teeth and breathing deeply, however, he just slammed the picture down quickly so he couldn't look at his face anymore. Andew quickly sat down and took a deep breath while playing with his hoodie strings. As soon as he calmed down, he got up and went to the kitchen, he put spaghetti in the water, after a bit he sat on the couch with his food and put on TV to see the News was on.

news anchor: And today, the virus has spread more today to five more people, its slow to be sure, but the fact that scientists have yet to find a cure for it and those who have had it for a long time now have shown little signs of getting better don't help, the sick have all been quarantined and those who are healthy have been advised to stay inside as much as possible, or at least as far away from those who could potentially have it. To help keep it from spreading to other cities or states though, the government will be closing all roads leading in and out of the city, as well as all trains and airports, those who have already pre bought tickets for either of these will be given a refund as soon as possible, also-

Andrew changed the channel to something else, feeling tired of hearing about this stupid virus all over the place, he looks down in thought and sighs, he saw it was a crappy cgi tv movie. Andrew just frowned groaning at it before he changed it to the 'video' channel and went under the tv to pull out 'spirited away'. He smiles at it putting it in the dvd player. He sits down and watches the movie. While he watches, he thought on his weird vision thing in the club, what… was it? Was it real? Or was he just imagining it? It felt real, but it couldn't have been, none of that was even possible, but… if it was imaginary, why did he imagine it? What kind of connection could it have to him, and… what did that person mean when he said, "it's coming…"?

Andrew: I… think I'm gonna go to bed early….

turning the TV off and washing his bowl, he went upstairs and laid in his bed

Andrew: let's see what tomorrow has in store for me…

and that's it! I hope you all enjoyed this one, I also wanna note that I've been working on this story since like 2019 at least and a lot of the things in it with a virus was just a seriously unexpected coincidence, but this has nothing to do with Covid, I promise, its just a made up virus for the story, I was just really deep into everything to change it to something else, I'd have to take so many things and think of how they connect to this new thing I'd do and that doesn't sound fun, but still, please review, follow and favorite, see yah!
