Without thinking twice El quickly snatched off the blindfold she was wearing and quickly grabbed her supercom and ran into the living room to find Max sitting on the couch. It completely slipped Elevens mind that Max was still there.
"Code Red guys!" El was practically screaming into the supercom and it didn't take long for Max to instantly become concerned.
"What is it El?" Lucas responded sounding just as sad as everyone felt.
"Mike is awake!" El sped through her words and in the blink of an eye she was beating her fathers door down. Hopper walked out of his rooms with red eyes and a hoarse voice with nothing but pure guilt on his face. El looked at him with a very stern and serious look.
"Hospital now."
That's all Hopper need to hear to quickly grab his shoes and keys and hightail it to the hospital upon arrival El didn't see anyone there but Karen Wheeler. El entered the hospital room to see Karen standing over Mike with a contagious grin on her face. The second Mike caught a glimpse of Hopper he frowned and when he saw El and Max standing behind Mike broke out into uncontrollable tears and was sobbing. El attempted to run to his aid but she was cut off by a man in a suit wearing a visitors pass, who she didn't realize was in the room.
"Excuse me, but are you El Hopper?"
Hopper immediately controlled the situation. "Who's asking?" Hopper tried to put on his intimidating cop voice but failed miserably.
"I'm Doctor Finn Bobby Brown and I am the therapist of Michael Wheeler the patient only a few feet away from us. Mr. Hopper I'm assuming if it's alright I'd like to discuss Michaels condition in private with Ms. Hopper if that's alright with you."
Hopper nodded and walked away to stand next to Karen at Mike's bedside who still had tears running down his face.
"Ms. Hopper your ex-boyfriend who obviously loved you very dearly suffers from a couple of mental illnesses. That includes Depression, and Anxiety. I've been treating Michael since he was six and he never really seemed happy until he was twelve years old when you entered his life. Michael cherishes and loves you and he told me that you were the light that made him want to live. Ms. Hopper I'm not saying you have to be in a relationship with Michael, but I would you all tried to end things on more of a mutual or friendlier terms."
El was in complete shock and she couldn't hold back her anger and grief anymore.
"Why did you pressure me into dumping my boyfriend? Just because you don't love your boyfriend and you dump his ass every week doesn't mean that I wanted my relationship to be like that.
The second Eleven was done screaming at the redhead she turned her attention to her father.
"And why did you not only put your hands on my boyfriend but pressure him into lying and not seeing me? You already keep me away from the world why did you try to take away my happiness?"
El was screaming and didn't even try and wait for an answer. She ran over to Mike's bedside and started to cry.
"Mike, I didn't mean it, I don't want us to be apart because I…love you and I've always loved you before I even knew what it meant, from the day I met just know that I've always loved you."
Eleven heard a couple of sniffles and realized that she had an audience. Hopper, Joyce, Will, Lucas, Karen, and Dustin all watched as the telekinetic girl admitted her love for the wounded boy beside her. Mike looked up at her and saw pain, love, and desperation in her eyes as she was seeking forgiveness.
"El I-. "
Mike's sentence was cut short as one of the doctors walked into the room.
"Excuse me Mrs. Wheeler we have some good news and some bad news."
"Just tell me the bad news first."
"The bad news is Michael hit a nerve and his left arm and leg will be broken for the next five months. The good news is that Michael miraculously suffered no brain trauma or permanent injury and can leave in three days."
Everyone in the room let out a sigh of relief. Mike was going to be okay, but he wasn't going to be himself for a while.
"I don't how I'm going to manage to take care of Michael every day and go to work."
Karen was starting to pace around the room thinking about her unfortunate predicament.
"We'll take care of Mike Mrs. Wheeler!"
Surprisingly, it was Max who spoke on behalf of the whole party.
"I can also bring them lunch every day."
Hopper still feeling guilty decided it was only right if he attempted to help the situation. Karen Wheeler gave a thankful nod, and everyone started to leave the hospital room. Eleven could only wonder what Mike was about to say to her. When Hopper, El, and Max returned to the cabin she couldn't help but feel angry. Not only could she not leave her home but now she couldn't leave or see her friends because they'd be too busy taking care of her boyfriend. Eleven didn't notice but the furniture started to leave the ground and the house started to shake.
"Hey kid calm down he'll be fine" Hopper tried to calm his daughter not knowing why she's suddenly became so angry. Hearing those word were the breaking point and El snapped.
"SO, EVERYBODY GETS TO SEE MY BOYFRIEND EVERYDAY WHILE I'M STUCK IN THIS STUPID CABIN ALL DAY!"
"Listen kid I get that you're having a rough time, but I had already planned to drive you over everyday and for you to sleepover with your friends on weekends."
Eleven was slightly relieved but was still very angry and she stormed to her room with Max right behind her.
"Max why did you tell me to dump him if you knew it'd break his heart?"
El voice was barley above a whisper and Max couldn't hold her alpha female façade for too long as tears started streaming down her face.
"I've never had such a real and loving relationship and I just thought Mike was being like any other jerk that lies to their girlfriend."
Before El could respond she heard the faint static of her supercom and immediately rushed to get it.
"El?"
The voice was a whisper and very hoarse, but El had a pretty good idea of who was on the other end.
"Mike?"
