Alright, the events from here and onwards is set after the events of my main story since chapter 118. Just a quick highlight, the character's names are now changed to avoid confusion.
Newton is now Grey.
Angel is now Sitara.
Leon is now Wrench.
Connor is now T-Bone.
Anyway, let's get on with this.
"Okay, let's get ready." T-Bone said.
"Remind me of the mission." Dedsec operative Dalton Wolfe said as he steered his speedboat to the mission location.
"We have detected armed intruders plotting to bomb the museum. You are sent here to defuse them."
Dalton snuck past the intruders as he made it to the entrance. The first thing he noticed was a line of crates carrying Dedsec logos.
"They got Dedsec gear here." Dalton said.
"What? How did they get their hands it?" Sitara said.
"I think the bombers are going to frame us."
"Quickly, defuse the bombs." Wrench said.
Dalton held his breath as he walked down the hallways. The strangely silence from the museum was enough to be surprised from in front or behind. Seeing no way past an intruder guarding one of the rooms, Dalton swiftly eliminated him.
"Do you know where the detonators are?"
"I'm checking the security cams, but maybe one of the intruders has it. I'll alert you if I find it."
As Dalton searched for the detonator, one of the intruders noticed bodies of their fallen ally lying about.
"Someone's here! Find whoever's doing this!"
Dalton hid behind some pillars as the intruders searched every corner. But it wasn't all bad. A small laptop with a timer on the screen showcasing how much time left before the bombs explode. It was next to large container carrying the detonator and the bomb.
"There it is! The detonator!" Dalton said.
"Get to it!" Grey said.
"Screw sneaking around, it's time to go loud!"
Dalton shot down every intruder that patrolled the area. He approached the laptop to begin defusing.
"Put the flash drive into the USB slot I gave you."
Dalton put the flash drive into the USB slot. "Now what?"
"Let me do the magic."
Grey got pass the security lock that prevented the detonator from being exposed.
"Ok, the detonator should be exposed by now."
Dalton walked over to the detonator. Three wires; red, white, and blue were connected to the triggers.
"All you need to do is to remove all three wires." Sitara said.
"Are you kidding me?" Dalton said. "What if the bomb blows up?"
"I'm not messing with you!"
Dalton held his breath as he pulled the wires off.
"Bombs successfully defused." Sitara said.
Everyone let out a sigh of relief.
"Now get out of here." T-Bone said.
The laptop Dalton used to defuse the bombs glitched. Dalton's heart sank at that sight. There was something wrong.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa, what am I looking at?"
"What's going on over there?" Wrench asked.
"Oh no, there are more bombs than I thought. They're going live as we speak!" Grey said.
"There must be a signal source sending out signals to activate the bombs." T-Bone said.
"That's what I'm detecting. It's on the top of the museum. Hurry!"
Dalton fought his way through the intruders as he made it to the top floor. As he went up a ladder and to the rooftop, he saw one of the bombs being set off at a cafe restaurant.
"That must be the source of the signals!"
Dalton raced to another computer sending out the signals. As he tried to get pass the security lock, he was hit by a firewall.
"What the?"
A masked hooded figure appeared on screen.
"Dalton Wolfe, I am impressed." The hooded figure said in a robotic voice. "You are here because of important work."
"Important work?" Dalton said. "You are killing hundreds if not thousands of people!"
"Exactly. To save the world."
Two army drones hovered in front of Dalton. One of them shot his arm.
"You do know that creatures died before. When XCOM took back their nation and turned the creatures against their leaders. When one of their allies took out the Mane Six, another of their allies took out the Young Six, and another of their allies took out out the Pillars. Destruction is always the cure. And it begins today. Zero-Day."
Bombs were set off around the city. All around the city, bombs exploded. People were sent running all around.
"No... No..." Dalton said.
"It's time for a hard reset."
As the drones armed, Dalton embraced for the worst. The drones unloaded everything on him.
"Dalton! Dalton!" Grey said. "Shoot!"
"We lost him." Sitara said.
"So much for clearing our names..." Wrench said.
As everyone grew silent for Dalton, T-Bone's computer received mail.
"Wait, I'm getting a message from someone claiming to be... 404?" T-Bone said.
"Huh?" Wrench and Sitara said.
"Play it." Grey said.
T-Bone opened the message. The same masked figure who spoke to Dalton was now speaking to Dedsec.
"Greetings, Dedsec." A robotic voice said.
"That's the same voice who killed Dalton!" Grey said.
"No, whoever's contacting us is using a voice changer. For all we know, it could be a he or she." T-Bone said.
"Was 404 the ones who placed the bombs?"
"I mean, we did stop the bombs at Gamercon." Wrench said.
"You may have defused the bombs at the museum, but you have not stopped us fully. We have blamed you for all the bombings across the city. Your group must turn yourselves into the authorities or else suffer the consequences." The voice said.
Everyone looked at each other.
The bombings became the hot topic on the news. Many news outlets came to report the tragedy. News reporters arrived at the bomb sites to report this to the viewers.
"Only moments ago, a series of explosions devastated three sites in the entire city. Authorities are asking all citizens to remain in their homes. While no death toll is confirmed, it has been believed to be in the thousands." One news outlet said.
A news reporter came to a candlelight vigil at one of its locations.
"Citizens mourn the lives lost during the bombings that brought closure to thousands of families and indeed the entire city."
Another news outlet came to report on the culprits.
"It is widely believed that terrorist group Dedsec is responsible for the bomb at Gamercon a few months ago and the bombings just now. Canterlot High vice-principal Lunis has recently established a private military company Albion to counter their efforts. So far, many members of Dedsec were captured and killed."
However, the citizens didn't take things too kindly to Albion and started to rebel against them. They were swiftly met with police riots.
"Curfews, travel restrictions, and close monitoring on all citizens is now in effect."
As weeks passed, Grey saw the citizens rioting against Albion.
"It's worse than I thought." Grey said.
"Head back to HQ." Wrench said.
As Grey headed back to Dedsec HQ, he watched as another riot broke out on the news.
"Albion painting themselves as the victims." Sitara said.
"Those bastards..." T-Bone said.
A video call occured on the main screen. When they saw who it was coming from, everyone was happy.
"Writer! Long time no see!" Grey said.
"Sup. I've been getting contact on the bombings in your area." The Writer said. "What I'm able to get by reviewing the footage was that the bombings didn't come from terrorists. They came from trained organizations. And that studying the information you gave me... I was able to see who profited off of the bombings."
Two images were shown. One was an anthropomorphized Crystal, and the other was Lunis.
"I knew Lunis had something to do with the bombings!" Wrench said. "But who's that other person with Lunis?"
"That's Crystal, one of the four alicorns we fought against ELF. The Crystal in your area is the leader of a criminal organization known as Clan Crystal. But I call her Bloody Crystal because of how she treats her slaves. What I'm presenting to you now is video footage of Crystal and her slaves."
Crystal was in her slave auction, forcing slaves to clean after her. All of the slaves have white metal collars around their necks.
"I'm tired of working as a slave, let's revolt, charge!" One slave said.
The slave charged for Crystal, only to be met with a lethal shock on his neck collar caused by Crystal's small clicker. It had enough energy to kill even the most resistant of enemies.
"Let this be a lesson for those who stand up to me." Crystal said to her viewers. Seeing them standing around, doing nothing, she barked out another order. "What are you standing around for? Work!"
The footage ended there.
"My gosh..." Grey said.
"I'm not able to track her location. You'll have to do that yourself." The Writer said. "I'm out."
As the call ended, Sitara turned to everyone.
"Well guys, we have a new lead on Zero Day."
"That's what you're calling the terrorist group who attacked the museum?" T-Bone asked.
"No, it's the event where the bombs set off."
"Makes sense." Grey said. "I'll go find some clues on Crystal."
As Grey left the Dedsec HQ, he noticed an Albion guard checking on two civilians.
"Are you ready for me, Albion? Because I'm going after you." Grey said before he set off.
CONNECTION LOST.
Albion has shut this chapter down.
