Charlie and Xander
(After Charlie got out on bail)

-Charlie Dale, after paying a visit to his mother at the hospital, was on his phone trying to reach out to Claire at the Salem Square.

-?: OY, Charlie!

Charlie turns around and his eyes widens in terror.

-Charlie: Mr. Kiriakis? What-?

-Xander: ...am I doing here?

Xander walks toward him threateningly.

-Xander: It's a small town. We were bound to cross paths sooner or later mate!

Charlie gulps.

-Charlie: So you know about...?

-Xander: About what you did to Allie Horton? Yeah, I heard about that. The entire company heard about that.

-Charlie: Look, Mr. Kiriakis, I don't know how much you heard but I'm telling you, what happened between Allie and I was consensual. She's the one who is fabricating the story that I raped her, but I didn't.

-Xander: I don't care what you did to Allie or what you didn't do to Allie. That's your personal life.

-Charlie: You don't?

-Xander: Nah. I care about what you did to me!

-Charlie: What are you talking about?

-Xander: I'm talking about your boss.

-Charlie: Oh, the other Mr. Kiriakis? Yeah, I know you wanted me to get dirt on him and I'll get right on that, I just need more time.

-Xander: I'm not talking about that boss, you little twerp. I'm talking about your other boss. Or is it your mother?

-Charlie: (pauses) Oh. Her.

-Xander: You lied to me. You used me, and you jeopardized the future of this company working for that woman.

-Charlie: Hey, to be fair, I wasn't really keen on a relationship with her anyway.

-Xander: Really? Because last I heard, she spent the holidays in your home. All tied up and drugged.

-Charlie: For her own good, Mr. Kiriakis! She was talking about knives and hurting herself and I did it to protect her from self-harm!

Xander narrows his eyes.

-Xander: Right.

-Charlie: I'm serious!

-Xander: You know, Charlie Dale. I respected you. I thought highly of you. I treated you like my pupil. My little apprentice. I had high regards for you working for this company.

-Charlie: I'm sorry Mr. Kiriakis. I really appreciate all you did for me. If you could give me one more chance, I'll be better.

Xander sighs.

-Xander: Wish I could.

Xander approaches him and pokes at his chest.

-Xander: You're lucky this is just an internship.

-Charlie: So, I'm not fired?

Xander sighs again.

-Xander: I would've given you a warning. One more chance to redeem yourself to me and the company, given that I have been given another chance at life, thanks to my beautiful fiancée Sarah.

-Charlie: Oh yeah, your fiancée. How is she?

-Xander: Oh she's doing great! Don't say anything yet but I plan to propose to her.

-Charlie: That's awesome!

-Xander: (enamored) Yeah... well anyway, about your job, I can't fire you. Even if I wanted to. I'm not CEO anymore. So you might have to deal with the consequences of your actions when you talk to Philip.

-Charlie's face turns white, like he saw a ghost.

-Charlie: W-well in the chance if I do get fired, would you... put on a good word for me? Y'know, for future professional references? Y'see, I'm trying to start all over. Start fresh.

-Xander: (pauses) I'll think about it.

Charlie brought a faint smile.

-Xander: But no more lies. You understand now?

-Charlie: I promise. No more lies.
