You'd think the Kindergartens would be shot on location in some swiss-cheese-like mountainous area. But no, we're back at the studio in Brooklyn.

Jasper was not as muscular as you'd think from watching the show: her costume was heavily padded in several places to give her that buff look she became known for. It made her look hard as a rock, but in reality, she was soft as a pillow–both on the outside and on the inside!

In her dressing room, Jasper was getting her costume all set for the shoot. At the same time, she was rapping with Todd Zeppelin. Todd was a noted radio personality from the Woodstock, whom helped to introduce her home planet to the intergalactic masses. As such, he was one of the show's first financial backers. He brought with him today a tape recorder to capture his time with Jasper and play it back later over the radio. It was a big day for Jasper: this was going to be her last show.

"I asked to be written off," Jasper explained to Todd, "I wanna be available for like when other opportunities come along. If I stay here for–I dunno–another season, pretty soon, they're just gonna put me in more roles where I'm a big, muscular bully."

"You don't like playing the jerk?" Todd asked.

"See this?" Jasper pointed to her padded costume, "This is not me. Back on Signet, I was part of a local acting troupe. We were the first on our planet to do Shakespeare. Guess who I played?"

"Uh…Juliet?"

"Lucky guess."

"Well, typecasting happens to the best," said Todd, "Leonard Nimoy, Patrick Stewart, Tom Baker, Carrie Fisher…even they couldn't escape the roles they were known for."

"At least Steven knows I'm a softie when I'm out-of-character."

"How did he take it when you told him you were leaving the show?"

"I didn't. He looks up to me like an aunt. How can I tell him bad news with those big, sad eyes staring up at me? You know what he calls me when we're not working? 'Cheeto puff'. What's a Cheeto puff, I ask you?"

"It's cheesy, it's orange, it's puffy, it's delicious!" said Todd, "You know the fans are calling Peridot 'Dorito' and 'key lime pie'!"

"And who wouldn't?" Jasper agreed, "She's got the haircut the authorities on Signet wear as part of their uniform."

Todd pulled out a notepad of other questions he could ask Jasper, regarding the show. He found a good one, and put the notepad back.

"Word around the fanbase is that Sugar's planning a big twist?"

"You heard that too, huh? Look, I can only tell you what's in the script, and the script says I didn't always work for Yellow Diamond. Now I don't know if that's the 'big twist' the others have been thinking of, but it's the only one we got right now, and frankly, it's good enough for me."

Jasper took a bowl from her vanity and showed it to Todd. It was full of M&Ms, in a wide variety of colors…except one.

"Want some?"

"Are there any brown ones?"

"That's what I said. Stupid stagehands thought I was some guy named Van Halen."

A knock sounded on the dressing room door, and in stepped Miss Sugar.

"Jasper, we're ready for you," she said.

Jasper stood up. She turned to Todd, who shut off his tape recorder.

"Nice talking with you."

"Wanna come back to my place later?" Todd asked, "We could listen to some Beatles records."

"The What-les?"

"Only the greatest rock 'n' roll band in the world!"

"You mean the Rolling Stones?"

Todd was suddenly hurt. He looked down at the Beatles insignia on his shirt. He looked back up at Jasper with a menacing face that screams 'What is this, chopped liver?'. He clutched one hand into a fist, and socked Jasper in the cheek. Jasper tried to throw a punch herself to be even, but Todd ducked, and her hand ran knuckle-first toward the stone wall behind him. Fortunately, Miss Sugar pulled Jasper away before she hurt herself.

"Woah! Easy," she said, "Save that aggression for the show."

"Nobody puts Stones over Beatles in front of me and gets away with it," Todd said in defense, then he cooled down, "Don't bother, I'll show myself out."

"Probably for the best," said Miss Sugar.

Todd was about to leave the studio, when he ran into a hideous creature that was so scary, it caused him to fall backward into a pile of big rocks that were lighter than they looked.

"Whoops, sorry," said a stagehand, gesturing at the animatronic monstrosity, "This is gonna be a fusion between Jasper and a corrupted gem."

"Oh, okay," said Todd, standing up and brushing himself off.

Meanwhile, Jasper approached the Kindergarten set, where Steven, Amethyst and Peridot were waiting. A puppeteer squatted in one of the openings within the fake rock walls, holding a puppet that was going to be a corrupted gem.

"Is everybody ready?" said the director.

The cast members nodded. Jasper was about to nod herself, but then she thought of something that Todd said in the dressing room.

"Wait," she said abruptly.

She walked to Steven, squatted down, and hugged him.

"I'm gonna miss you, lil' guy," she sighed.

"What?" said Steven, confused.

"I don't want to break your heart, but I'm gonna be leaving the show after this."

Steven teared up, then returned the hug..

"I'm gonna miss you too!"

The two (eventually) let go of the hug and wiped the tears from their eyes.

"Okay," said Jasper, "Let's do this."

They all walked to their starting positions, and the shooting finally began.
