Butting Heads
By Rita Skeeter
Since the start of the Triwizard Tournament a month ago, dear readers, it has been expected that the true rivalry of the competition would be between Hogwarts' dual Champions: Harry Potter and Cedric Diggory. This does not seem to be the case. This reporter has done her research and discovered quite the tension between Cedric Diggory and Durmstrang Champion Viktor Krum. The pair could be spotted competing against each other in mere training for the Tournament. Racing alongside the Lake, goading each other into lifting weights, and a reliable source has even caught a glimpse of them wrestling. Is this healthy behavior for two teenage boys or is trouble brewing on the horizon? After his near win in the first Task, Harry Potter is the favored winner for the Tournament as a whole. Will the Krum/Diggory rivalry blind them from their goals or help them on the way to victory? Only time will tell as the next Task takes place in February. Krum and Diggory will certainly be kept a close eye on moving forward.
Secret Lovers
By Rita Skeeter
Dear readers, the greatest scandal in the history of the Triwizard Tournament has been revealed. Rivals Cedric Diggory and Viktor Krum have vanished without a trace just days before the Third and Final Task of the Triwizard Tournament. One might first suspect foul play, but a note had been left behind stating as such:
We're tired of being who you want us to be.
Don't go looking for us.
We're running to a place where we can be ourselves together.
We'll mail a notice when we've eloped.
I could hardly believe it. We thought the plain yet ambitious Hermione Granger was the object of Viktor Krum's affections, and yet this whole time he and Cedric Diggory had been in a secret relationship. Had I but known, loyal readers, I would have followed it more closely. As things are, Cedric Diggory and Viktor Krum have indeed vanished quite completely in a romantic, star-crossed tale fit for a storybook. Their fathers have claimed that they will not rest until their sons are found, but the romantic in this reporter hopes that they are happy and will invite her to their secret wedding for an exclusive report. In interest of their well-being, of course.
Only time will tell if abandoning the Third Task will end up badly for both of them. As it stands, it has been postponed indefinitely as it cannot be the Triwizard Tournament with only two Champions.
