Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of the Widow and Maker. Enjoy the 900-word chapter. I don't own Overwatch; Blizzard and a few others do.

the figure launched another spray of the acid like chemical at Widowmaker who swung around him. The few shots she made that bounced off his armor. She was looking for a weakness, a point of the armor he wore, he knew for a fact that there was almost close to none. The armor was meant to contain monsters like him, which meant there was almost nothing she could do to it.

"This is fun, you know." The figure said while firing his canon at Widowmaker once more. "It's rare I get to cut loose and actually fight…" He stated as he blocked another bullet aimed at his head.

There was another pause as she dodged the spray of the acid which started to melt the rock she hid behind once more. There was a distorted chortle as he turned and looked to the side.

"You can talk, little spider. Everyone does it." The figure said while he blinked and brushed off his armor. "What? Do you not speak unless you know the other person you are dueling? You can call me Corrosive. It is the name most call me before my poisons melt them to nothing." Corrosive stated before leaping ahead, using the suit's thrusters to maneuver closer.

Widowmaker moved as Corrosive smashed into the rock she was standing next to. The shockwave crushed part of the rock under him as he shook his head.

"Why run, little spider?" Corrosive asked while raising his arm canon. "Do you not want to see the death of life? Those poisons turned me into an animal like this. Those government mongrels took everything I ever thought mattered to me.

He couldn't think once more of anything that wasn't slightly bemusing about this. The fight, the atmosphere of living or dying. Yes, it was such delicious pain and violence.

"I do not know why Talon wanted you within their ranks." Widowmaker stated and got a raised eyebrow. "Do you think your talents weren't noticed by those who believe yourself your betters?" Widowmaker questioned while Corrosive blinked once more and swung an acid dripping arm.

He knew very well that this woman was becoming interesting the more he thought about it.

"Hmm, why do I feel like I know that name… And yet? I cannot envision it despite that." Widowmaker heard as he turned and started to tense up.

Corrosive met Widowmaker with a swing of his weapon which sent her back as she aimed her rifle.

"You are far more skilled then you thought…" Corrosive said and clenched his fist. "But that doesn't make you a match for me, girl. You don't know me if you think I'm interested in terrorism. I'm interested in revenge, justice upon those who wronged me." Corrosive said and shook his head before rocketing forward at Widowmaker who dodged and rolled to the side.

She turned to Corrosive who was busy trying to knock her to the ground. She dodged another swing which would have removed his head. He turned and hummed before brushing the dust off his armor.

He couldn't do anything but shake his head.

"Do you think that you're the only one with a lust for revenge?" Widowmaker asked which was greeted by a shake of the head. "That your deaths have gone unnoticed? Talon exists so the world could be taken apart and evolved through war. You cannot hope to cure the world without sacrifice." Widowmaker stated which was met with a shake of the head.

"Sacrifice?" Corrosive asked before deflecting another few of her bullets aimed at his head. "What do you know of that word? You haven't known hatred, the very poison that eats away within your body…. You do not know the pain and suffering that I know. I know poison, because I am the poison within people around here." Corrosive said before turning to hear the sound of jets in the distance.

Widowmaker kicked off the beast who collapsed to a knee before grappling away as he gave chase. This woman showed no fear in battling him, that was quite enjoyable when it came down to it. He hasn't met someone who showed such bravery when he fought her.

A jet began to descend towards the others. He could tell quite clearly that it was a transport craft. The woman was attempting to escape. That would not due, he had yet to make sure she was defeated. He wanted to capture her and figure out the source of her bravery, escape just would not do… In fact? It wasn't even close to a good idea with him around. It just made him far more determined to do her in once more.

"This fight is becoming ridiculous, little spider. I tire of your bullets." Corrosive stated while pointing a finger at her. "I will not allow you to escape to menace someone else." Corrosive added with amusement.

Author Note

P.S: Next chapter will honestly be 1200-1500 words unlike this story at the moment and all that. I apologize for lying about it.
