Disclaimer - (Cause fanfiction is tricky ground and I hope not to offend the creator of the original story and get sued)

I do not own "Danmachi", also known as "Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?", it belongs to its original creator Fujino Ōmori. This is only a fanfiction that I was inspired to write by the original work. Please support the official release. Most of the media - such as the art and illustrations, gifs, video's, etc. used in this fanfiction - are from the web. Thus, most of them aren't mine (because I really, really can't draw) unless mentioned. To fit the story, images are also edited by various apps and websites. So they aren't mine, just edited.

Also if you own a picture or Video that I found online, and you either want your name added, or me to take it down. Please contact me and we can talk it out.

P.s. I also ask that you do not copy my work and publish it onto any other website. If you're gonna use my idea, please ask me (I'll 99.99% say yes unless you're super duper rude). If I don't contact you within a week, then just assume I'm giving you the all clear and go for it. Just remember to credit me.

I will be writing out scenes even if my Oc isn't in them. As long as she's mentioned, or influencing the characters in some way. This may seem a bit annoying. But that's just how I write. I like to embed my characters into the story line. Because of this, most of the dialogue/scenes will come from the original work.

Today's Special

Those we love don't go away.

They walk beside us everyday.

~ Unknown

{Third P.O.V.}

A wolf monster roared as it charged at the group, only to be stopped by Bell, who thrust his armoured forearm between the jaws of the beast. "Wolf!" He shouted pushing his arm forward and swung it around to get it off. The wolf's body flew around. Creating the perfect opportunity for Welf to slice it half.

Just as the body of the wolf disbursed into ash, another appeared in their vision. As Welf saw it and thrust his hand forward, Lili beat him to it, shouting, "You're slow!" As she shot an arrow into the wolf's eye. Giving Luna enough time to charge forward and piercing the wolf from its stomach towards it's throat as she slashed upwards.

"All right!" Bell smiled.

"Well, pretty good for our first mid-level battle, huh?" Welf asked, grinning.

Luna nodded, a small smile on her face as well as she walked back toward the group.

"Yeah," Bell nodded, "Our opponents were t anything we can't handle."

"Doesn't mean he should let our guard down." Luna pointed out.

"I know." Bell answered his sister, "But it looks like we can handle a Hell Hound's fire attack."

"Exactly." Welf agreed, hands on his hips.

"Anyway, let's head to someplace more open." Lili suggests, picking up a dark purple stone, the only indication that a monster was here. "If we got surrounded here, it'd be-" But she is cut off by a cry.

The group turns to see four alibino rabbits, with bright fiery eyes. The one in the middle titled it's head as it took in the four humans.

"Bell-sama? Luna-sama?" Lili asks.

Welf nods, "Yeah, that's Luna and Bell."

"Those are Al-mi'raj!" Bell yells at the two. "If you want to question any one, question the Blood Eyed Rabbit!"

Luna pouts, her cheeks puffing up with air as she turns away from her brother. "Don't give me that. It's not like I can control what they call me!"

The rabbits are done waiting around and cry out as they lift their mini axe weapons and charge.

"Bell and Luna's are attacking us!" Welf exclaims.

Lili adds in a bored tone, "They seem like there in a hurry."

"I said they're Al-mi'raj!" Bell says once again.

Luna feels a blood vessel in her head about to burst as her patience for her nickname begins to run out. "Keep saying things like that, and I really will be attacking you." She growls and draws her blade once again as she prepares for battle.

Meanwhile, a certain god and his captain were walking down the local market discussing the pair of twins.

Hermes hummed as he ate his popsicle.

"About the Little Rookie and the Blood Eyed Rabbit… As we thought, other adventures are not very fond of them." Asfi reported, trailing behind the god.

Hermes stopped and gave his attention to an odd container that had caught his eye, but hummed, in acknowledgement. Giving the captain the go too, to continue.

"Some say they only managed to beat the Minotaur by themselves because they were lucky with the boys magic, or maybe the girl managed to land a lucky shot at a vital. It's either that, or they just defeated the Loki Familia's leftovers."

Hermes picked the cat themed container up, assessing it as he responded, "The Blessing of the Gods doesn't let you level up just like that. Plus, didn't that bunny have the odds stacked against her since she was born?"

"That is true." Asfi nodded, "The people are surprised that she didn't choose to receive the blessing of a stronger god. And because of that, some people are claim that they are lying about how long it nobody could beat the Sword Princess' record."

"Everyone's so hard on them." Hermes chuckled lowly with sympathy. "But the more I hear, the more interesting they get. I can't wait to meet them."

"What are you planning, Hermes-sama?" Asfi questions, suspicious. "You seem to have taken quite an interest in this."

Hermes stops as he turns around to face the blue haired girl, "What? Asfi, are you jealous?" The god asks, amused.

A light blush appears on the girls face, "Of course not!"

She exclaims. "I just don't want us to get caught up in trouble. Think about what I have to-"

Hermes pats the girl on the head, stopping her. "All of our members are grateful to you. Their leader makes their job easy, they say." He says, as he continues to pat her. "Their leader makes their job easy, they say. and you have a god relying on you, too. That's my girl."

"I can't take this…" the girl almost whines quietly, as he pays her head again.

The pair then makes their way to the Hostess of Fertility.

The group slays rabbit after rabbit, surrounded by a hoard of them.

"Damn it!" Welf curses, "We don't even have time to breathe!"

"Or even time to talk, too!" Lili adds.

Luna slashes through five of them and jumps back to rejoin the group. "They aren't that strong, but still stronger then what we deal with on a daily basis. But what's really a problem is their numbers."

Bells thinks around the same lines as his sister as he rejoins the group. 'The middle floor monsters are much stronger and more numerous than we've ever seen."

A different, injured, party approaches there's. The captain carried an injured comrade on his back. "Ouka-dono!" A girl calls, running up to him. "The Hellhounds will be here soon! We need to get back to the upper floors!" Her eyes widen as she follows his gaze to the swarmed Hestia party.

"We'll run through them, Mikoto." Tells her bluntly.

Mikoto turns her head, protesting, "Ouka-dono! But then…"

Ouka cuts her off, "I value your lives more than those of strangers who I've never met before." Mikoto grinds her teeth as he goes on, "If you don't like it, you can bitch me out later!" The girl shakes as she hears the growls of the approaching Hellhounds, her hands shaking.

Bell's group was just about done with the Al-mi'rajs, when they saw the other party approaching them.

Luna's eyes widen as she sees the unknown party run by them, realizing exactly what's about to happen. Though the girl couldn't even predict exactly how bad it was going to get.

Lili voices her thoughts, "Oh, no! The monsters chasing them will attack us instead. It's a pass parade"

Luna growls, "I swear to god if I see their captain again, I'm kicking him between the legs."

The group's eyes widen as they hear the growls of the incoming monsters.

"You're kidding me…" Welf asks, shakily.

Luna finishes his sentence, "It's a pack of Hellhounds! Those bastards!"

"We're retreating. Hurry to the corridor!" Lili orders, as the group runs towards the dark tunnel.

"Lili, go on ahead." Bell commands, as he stops running. And takes the rear. He shoots a firebolt directly at the pack of charging Hellhounds.

Luna grabs Lili's hand and continues to run forward.

It takes out many, but some still survive and continue to run through the fire and charge at him. Bell is quick to cut those down with his knife, but two completely ignore him and run directly at the rest of them. "Oh, no!"

Welf takes one, shouting, "Don't mess with me!" Slicing it straight in half.

But the other latches onto the back of Lili's backpack. Luna runs towards the girl who is trying to shake it off, and slices the Hellhounds head open, killing it.

"Lili, Luna, are you guys okay?" Bell asks, checking the girls.

"Yeah…" the chestnut hair coloured girl nods.

Luna sends her brother a small smile, "I'm ok."

"You safe, too, Welf!" Bell asks.

"Yeah, somehow." The older man answers.

Luna's eyes narrow as they see the bright red liquid pour of her friend's wound. "You're injured!"

She moves forward, getting ready to help him stop the bleeding, but is cut off by the echoes of growls. "Oh, no…" she whispers, knowing they won't be able to help Welf right now.

"There are more coming." Lili announces.

Welf winces in pain as he clutches his arm, "That's not all." He nods his head towards the other end we're bright glowing red eyes appear."

"From both sides…?" Bell asks softly.

"Why are monsters so quick to attack on the middle floors?" Welf asks.

"Because it's the middle floors, I guess." Lili answers.

Luna nods, "They aren't called middle floors just because of how deep they are." She chuckles. "I guess we have no other choice than to fight our way through."

Bell's grip on his knife tightened as he remembered Ryuu's words from the other night, "Cranel-san, the dungeon is a cunning thing. Each incident that happens there may be small in and of itself, but as they add up, they become a death or a thousand cuts. And… Tripping you when you can barely stand is easier than falling off a log. You can't regroup quickly. When it's prey is gasping for breath, moaning in pain, and thoroughly weakened… That is when the dungeon bares its fangs."

'No way…' Bell thought, as the ceiling above them began to crack.

"You gotta be kidding me!" Luna exclaimed, as dozens of monsters fell from the sky.

Bell and Luna ran towards Welf, who's leg had been caught under a chunk of the fallen ceiling. Luna turned her head to find Lili, who was also trapped under two rocks. From above them, a Hellhound opened its mouth, as fire gathered and it got ready to attack.

'No…' Lili thought.

Welf's thoughts were similar, 'I won't make it…'

'So these are the middle floors…' Bell thought.

'Do something… Anything!' Luna commanded her weakened body. She used her remaining strength to create a wall cube of ice around herself and her friends. An Ice Shell.

Luna groaned as she felt someone gently shake her awake. "-an, Luna!" Her brother cried.

"I'm up, I'm up." The girl answered in a hoarse voice. She pushed herself up using her elbows and looked around. Lili and Welf were already awake. Lili had been the one shaking her awake, well her brother supported their injured friend. "What happened?"

"We'll fill you in as we walk. Staying still is never a good idea." Lili told her. Luna nodded, agreeing as she pushed herself to her feet, and took Welf's other arm, helping her brother support the older man.

Welf winced as they began walking, "Are you ok?" Bell asked, concerned.

"Yeah, sorry." Welf apologizes.

Luna shakes her head, "No need for that. You'd do the same for us."

He sends her a small smile, but it falls off his face as another wave of pain hits him, "Man, our luck is crap." He curses, "We want to go back up as fast as we can, but we fall down two floors instead."

"We fell down two floors?!" Luna exclaims.

Bell nods, "After you casted your ice spell, you fainted. It took one hit and shattered, but luckily for us, the floor caved and we fell down and away from that pack of monsters."

Lili looked down at the ground, "It's a Miri car all four of us survived that fall."

"Yeah." Bell agreed. "If it weren't for Luna and our salamander wool, that Hellhound's breath would've wiped us all out."

"We owe your advisor, big time." Welf says gratefully.

"Your right." Bell agrees.

Luna smiles, "After we get out of here, you can help us thank her big time."

The group turns the corner and their faces fall once again as they see it's another dead end. As if sensing their dread, monsters growl echo from around them.

Welf smiles, almost defeatedly, "Bell, Luna, Li'l Lili, leave me if you must."

At once his friends protest. "Welf, what are you-"

Welf cuts off Bell's protests at once, saying, "Either way, with this leg, I'm only going to slow you down."

"But I can't do that!" Bell continues.

Luna nods, "How can you just tell us to leave you!"

"We don't have a choice." Welf continues to argue.

Lili speaks up, "If we… If we want to survive, we can also try going down to the 18th floor."

"L-Lili, wait. Go even further down?" Bell asks.

"The enemies will just get stronger!" Welf adds.

Luna puts her hand out, stopping him, "Let's hear her out."

"The 18th floor is one of several safe zones in the dungeon. That is, monsters don't appear on that floor. If we can get some higher-level adventures to take us back up with them, our odds of survival increase." Lili explains.

Luna smiles as hope begins to fill her, "That may actually work."

"But how…?" Bell asks, still not fully convinced.

Lili smiles, already having an answer for that, "We'll use the holes." She answers. "There are many holes like this I. The middle floors. We can probably go down a lot more quickly than we can go up."

"What about the floor boss?" Welf points out. "That thing's on the 17th floor, right?"

"If you mean the Goliath, the Loki family should have beaten it on their way down." Lili tells them.

Luna nods, "Yeah. I heard that they were also coming down here as well."

Lili nods, "Given the time it takes to respawn, if we go now, we'll get through first."

"Have you lost your mind?" Welf asks.

Luna shakes her head, "No. Lili is right. This may be our best chance at survival. But that's my opinion."

"It's just an option." Lili says, walking closer till she's face to face with the boys, "I'll leave the decision to Bell-sama, our party leader."

"M-Me?" Bell stutters.

Welf nods, knowing that's only fair. "Okay. Decide." He grins up at the hits haired boy, "No matter what happens, we won't blame you." Lili and Luna nod, agreeing.

Bell looks up at them with determination in his eye, "Let's keep going."

"I'm sorry, Hestia." Takemikazuchi says, bowing before the goddess.

"So you're saying they dumped their monsters on Bell's party?" Miach asks.

"They were desperate, but… I'm sorry." Takemikazuchi says, apologizing on behalf of his children.

Hestia speaks up, "If my children don't come back…" She turns around and faces the group, "I'll blame you until the day I die. But…" she sighs, taking a deep breath in and letting it out gently, "I won't hate you." She tells them honestly. "I promise." The light shines through the window and on her as she extends her hand forward to the party, "So… please. Would you help me?"

The group of humans instantly fall to their knees before the goddess, "As you say." The answer in unison. Hestia smiles at their response.

Hephaestus then speaks up, "Even if you want to put together a search party, most of our high-level members are out on the Loki Familia's expedition."

"The only ones I can send down to the middle floors are Ouka and Mikoto, and Chigusa to act as a supporter." Takemikazuchi tells the group, he turns around to look at his other three children. "The other, unfortunately, would just slow you down."

Miach looks down at the ground, "But with just three people…"

"I'll help too, Hestia." A new voice speaks up.
