Chapter 3
This takes place after the S3 episode "Warhead".
Chopper rolled around the base, bumping into every person he could find, hoping he'd see Hera and the others. But they weren't there.
Chopper was sad, he knew that. Or as sad as a droid can be.
Mom was gone.
Mom-Stealing Jedi was gone.
Smelly Purple Guy was gone.
Mando Girl was gone.
Baby Jedi was gone.
The Ghost was gone.
Chopper was sad for all of them. Maybe even about Mom-Stealing Jedi!
People in the base didn't talk to him. They probably thought he had been deactivated. To remind them he hadn't, Chopper bumped into them. He didn't know when days passed, and when days didn't. He beeped happily when someone screamed because he'd stepped on them. He beeped sadly when someone called him "General Syndulla's droid".
One day, he ran into someone he knew.
"Hey Chopper, what are you doing?" Captain Rex (or Captain Whitebeard, as Chopper called him) said.
"None of your business, Whitebeard," Chopper beeped.
"Listen, I heard Commander Sato saying that he needed a capable droid for the next attack. Don't you think that could be you?" Captain Whitebeard said.
"No mom, no working," Chopper beeped. Rex sighed and kneeled in front of him.
"Don't you think mom would be happy if you accomplished this mission? Do it for her, Chop." Chopper stopped beeping. Mom would want to fight. I would want to fight, if mom was here.
"Are there other droids on the mission?" Chopper beeped again.
"I'll make sure there aren't," Rex laughed. Chopper followed, not before shocking somebody with his electricity shocker.
For mom, Chopper beeped happily.
